A favorite flower of Ami Mizuno had been the Water Lily. Ami believed them to be beautiful and brilliant flowers. Water Lilies came to float on a mat of foliage covered with resplendent bloom that opened every morning and then closed for the afternoon. These flowers did come in a variety of colors including shades of blue, yellow, undertones of green, purple, pink, and white and ended up often having a fragrant scent of them.
"Why are Water Lilies are your favorite flowers, Ami-chan?" Makoto asked her when both of them had gone to look at flowers at a florist for Makoto to pick up more flowers to decorate her apartment.
"My father," Ami answered, " would bring home a Water Lily to give to me every time he would go to his cabin in the woods to paint when I was little. Believe me. He came to mention that they were connected to water and he does love water as much as I do. He did send me a painting of one for my ninth birthday. I feel fond of them because of him. Bluebells are another favorite of mine."
