Kid Cosmic (and the Local Heroes)

Narration given by Tuna Sandwich

"That was for killing my mom, you monster!"

"We did it! We won!"

"Never thought that I would live to see the day where a group of considered nobodies, (no offense gang) would actually end up saving the universe."

"Meanie brainy!"

"That's what happens when you mess with the local heroes!"

"When Brainiac came to our town in space put there by Queen Xhan, we were not prepared to for his evil. His drones came out of his spaceship and began to lay waste to it, killing many people in the process and Jo's Mom was one of them. So when the Biker in Black asked for our help, and since we didn't know a thing about the alien collector, we decided to join forces with him despite what he did to us as well as those aliens he captured, deciding that now wasn't the best for our grudge against him to get in the way of seeing our town from being collected. During the war against that psychopath, Biker a resistance of many townspeople that fought against Brainiac's drones, though their were many casualties along the way, like I said before as Biker was among them as he went out swinging while us Local Heroes took the fight to Brainiac himself."

And my goodness were we not prepared for the horror of the alien with 12th level brainpower.

Taking on Brainiac's drones were a non issue for us and our "not knowing what we doing" style.

Taking on Brainiac himself was... Hot damn, was he one tough bastard!

Not only was he intelligent but he was one strong alien, no wonder Superman has such a hard time fighting against him.

But despite the advantages he had, we managed to come out on top though it wasn't easy as Rosa and Papa G were in critical condition as was Kid.

Afterwards, the ship began to fall out of the sky, luckily Kid managed to use the last of his strength as well as the power of his ring to slow down the ship long enough for it to land away from the town before he passed out.

Jo immediately summoned a portal to the town's hospital as she, Chuck and myself dragged them through the portal, silently praying that Kid, Papa G and Rosa weren't too late to be saved as Batman and his team arrived in the ship seconds later.

The town's hospital staff was already incredibly busy due to patching up the survivors of the invasion, but when we brought the three in, the staff that weren't busy immediately got to work.

After 24 hours, they were successful. Kid, Rosa and Papa G were going to live but they were put into a comatose state in order to heal properly.

After 6 weeks, the three were well rested and admitted to leave the hospital, where we were all given a standing ovation by the surviving townspeople as well as Batman's Insurgency.

Speaking of the Justice League, they offered us a spot in their ranks.

We were about to accept when Kid said...

"Sorry, Batman. That's a really tempting offer but I think I want to live a normal life before I save the world again."

We knew where Kid was coming from so we decided not to join either. Batman understood but told us that when we're ready, his offer still stands.

Maybe one day we'll join the Justice League.

Maybe when Superman and his Regime try to escape from the Phantom Zone.

But hey, you never know...
