Here is the next chapter. For future reference Tom Senior is Tom Riddle and Tom Junior is Harry Potter. For the purposes of ease in this story Tonks will be in her third year now not her last one. Please read and review thanks, love Angel x

Severus emerged from the room two cups of tea levitating before him and he put the lilac mug in front of her. "Miss Granger I never act until I have all the facts so have this cup of tea while we talk about what happened and I decide what your detention should be. Your detention should determine on what the crime was!" he said as she looked stunned to be getting some tea at all. She'd not expected this. The tea surprisingly was at a level she could enjoy it nicely. The wonders of magic. She stirred a little bit of milk and sugar into it before talking a nice calming gulp as the veritas serum took over immediately.

"Miss Granger why did you throw Miss Greengrass on the floor?"

"Because she was in the way and superfluous to needs. She was getting in the way so I removed her. Yes I am aware I didn't use magic which I could have but I was stressed out and forgot about my wand for a moment. Admitting this makes me feel incredibly weak but I have no choice. She was in the way and I needed her gone so I did what was necessary!"

"Why did you do it though?" he pushed looking for more.

"I told you I did it because she was in the way and because it is my mission to sit next to Tom in all of his lessons. He hasn't had the advantage I've had and will know nothing of our world. It is my job to help him adjust to it. Professor Dumbledore himself has asked me to do so and I will. I'm not about to let the best wizard who ever lived down. He also asked Ronald Weasley to do it but Ronald said he couldn't as his mother told him all Slytherins are evil and his stupid brother Percy agreed with him. I've never met a more pompous and useless boy then Percy. He could do with being taken down a peg or two in all honesty. Might humble him out somewhat! Anyway Professor Dumbledore said it was ok and that he didn't have to. He said his mother was right about Slytherin being evil but that there was no need for her to be so heinous when she said it to him. I don't think he meant to say that aloud but I could be wrong of course. You see just because I'm rarely wrong doesn't mean I'm never wrong or can't admit that from time to time" she said sounding highly pompous herself.

"I see. What advantage is it you have had?" he asked as she frowned.

"Well technically no one is meant to know but I will turn twelve in a few days' times and last year every evening Professor Dumbledore would come over to my home and personally teach me about magic. Obviously I didn't have a wand or anything like that but he still taught me the most useful ones and everything like that. I knew all I needed to know before coming here so fitting in was not such an awful transition for me like it would have been for Tom. Professor Dumbledore trusted me above everyone else and said if there was anyone to introduce Tom to our world carefully it would without a doubt be me. He said I can introduce Tom to our world slowly so that all of the sudden magic doesn't go to his head. Tom Potter is a celebrity and it's obvious Professor Dumbledore doesn't want that going to his head. We don't need an arrogant Tom Potter ugh!" she said sounding annoyed.

"What happened in today's lesson?" he asked trying to get more information that way.

"Tom Potter cheated! He conjured a needle and syringe instead of a sewing needle effortlessly. Professor McGonagall said it was her fault for not specifying which type of needle specifically she wanted but how in the hell was he able to do so, so effortlessly without cheating. I then made my needle very large, opulent and colourful and lost points for showing off! Me?! So he can make the wrong thing entirely whilst cheating yet I'm the one who gets in trouble. I sat beside him anyway. I won't move away from him either. He needs to learn to not be so reckless if he wishes to survive in this hot headed school environment. I have no idea why he was put in Slytherin but it's not fair. I can't keep an eye on him all the time now and it feels like when I cannot see him I am failing my mission. I know I'm not and that it cannot be helped but it does feel like that!" she said sounding exceptionally possessive of Tom and giving Severus the creeps with how stalkerish she was behaving.

"What will you do if the teachers decided to never pair you two together in their classes because of how you behave?" he asked seriously.

"Either I'll make sure I'm sitting beside him on one of his sides or I'll curse the teacher into submission. I know many rituals I could use. Professor Dumbledore taught me a simple ritual for compliance and if they do not comply with my wishes I'll have to use it. I don't care if I get in trouble anyway so long as I'm always sitting beside Tom. I need to be able to have constant access to his work so I can make sure there are no errors. I would be remiss in my role as his teacher if I allowed him to ever relax, slack off or fail!" she said seriously as he groaned. The truth serum wore off and he stared at her for a moment her tea now gone.

"For your punishment you will be brewing a forgetfulness potion. It is on the seventh year course and as you feel you know so much you will be putting your potion where your mouth is. I warn you now Miss Granger leave the pupils of Slytherin house alone because if you don't I will ensure Tom Potter knows to not trust you. Now get BREWING!" he thundered making her jump in her place. She ran to the cupboard and picked out ingredients. One hour later it was done perfectly and he balked internally although his face showed nothing. Clearly Albus had done more then she said. When she was cleaning up he put something inside the potion which shouldn't have been in there without being seen and watched as it exploded. He had moved away to protect himself and shouted.

"This is what happens to those who think they know more than most. You almost seriously harmed me. Fifty points from Gryffindor and you will return here each evening this week from seven pm until I dismiss you. You will need to learn to not be so obsessive about Tom Potter. It will get you into even more trouble than normal! Now if you ever lay your hands on another member of my house you'll either have a years' worth of detention or be expelled. GET OUT!" he said so coldly it made her shiver as tears came to her eyes. She couldn't afford to get caught again acting like an idiot. She would just need to make a potion for loyalty to everything she said and feed it to Tom. That's what she'd do tomorrow. She had the potion too. She'd made a batch before coming to school for this exact reason. When that backfired she'd definitely get more then she bargained for. Wouldn't that be fun?

Tom couldn't believe what he was reading, he was furious. He'd gotten a copy of that letter from Draco via Lolly who was as always discrete. She wasn't seen. He entered Severus' office and handed him the letter.

"Severus Draco Malfoy received an identical letter to this, this evening. Please read it and tell me what you make of it. I don't think Lucius realised I'd be reading it behind Draco's shoulder if you will!" he said as Severus took the letter and read it groaning.

"Well in all honesty it's nonsense. He's tried to be firm but has ended up pandering to him yet again. He's called you a stupid whelp and certainly hasn't asked for a report card either. I'm assuming he told Draco this to scare him but to be honest it sounds like he's too tired to be bothered giving out to his son accurately. What would you have me do my lord?" he asked as Tom looked to be deep in thought.

"First of all I saw Gryffindor are down fifty house points thank you. Miss Granger will learn to leave Daphne alone or else. As for Lucius I think we need to show him what a real stupid idiot looks like. I think it's time for Draco and I to become friends. Oh Lucius will regret ever calling me a stupid whelp. Goodnight Severus!" he said leaving to go to his rooms with Daphne. Daphne had gotten help from madam Pomfrey as Hermione had bruised her arms and legs from the force at which she'd grabbed her and thrown her on the floor. Tomorrow would be very interesting indeed.
