I opened my eyes and saw a ball of light floating at the foot of the table. I stood and looked at the ball. It danced around the room and changed shape and size multiple times. It was, it was having fun.
It stopped in the corner of the room near the door. It hit the door multiple times. Did it want to show me something? I opened the door and stepped through to a weird room. It's wasn't like my stone room here in the guild. It was a cluttered room. Cloth was spread everywhere on the floor, all in different shapes and sizes. A large rectanglular prism was set up in the corner covered by blankets and pillows. A book case was on the other side of the room. What is this place?
The ball danced through the room, but it didn't pay any attention to the cloth or the blankets. It danced over to a desk that had a light coming from it. Two square boxes held the light. I felt drawn to the light on the desk and sat down on a chair. Where did the chair come from?
I stared into the square and saw pokemon fighting in a large arena. It seemed like it was entertainment. The pokemon were having fun as they fought each other. Was this an arena fight like what Katrina explained? No, there was something strange about the fight. The pokemon wouldn't choose their attacks. These pale creatures would. They commanded the pokemon to do certain moves and fight each other.
"K…Kor…..Koro."
I turned away from the light and looked into the darkness behind me. The cluttered roo was gone nothing, but a black abyss was there. An echo of someone's voice rang through the abyss. I felt my heart began to beat faster and faster as I felt the darkness begin to creep around me like two hands tightening it's grip around me. It was suffocating.
"You…..wwwwwweeeeaak. Not ssstrrrrrrrrrooooong"
I could feel the darkness wrap even more around me. The light from the square was losing it's light. I was losing the fight against the darkness. It was cold and angry. I remember now.
Anger was the first thing it can remember. Sadness the next. Fear is what followed. I felt sorry for it. I couldn't handle it when it came and now it's stronger. I have little control over the darkness.
These thoughts ran through my mind, like a panic of memories all playing at once. I needed to calm down. I need to fight. I felt a surge of strength from my heart. A new power or was this there before. I looked down to see a blue light pulsing with my heart. It was warm.
"Hmmmmmmmmmm"
I felt the struggle between the blue light in my heart and the abyss around. It wasn't happy. What is this fight?
"K….K….Kor….Koro"
I turned and saw a new light poke through the abyss. Katrina? I slowly opened my eyes and rolled a little on my table. I looked around. It was the empty room from before. Was that just a dream?
An audino was standing next to Katrina, her feelers were checking my body. What had happened? My body felt tired and my muscles didn't want to respond to my commands. I just laid there as they looked at me.
"What happened?" I asked as the nurse finished her examination.
Her feelers rested by her side as she looked up at me.
"Your skeleton has sustained multiple fractures and needs serious attention. We had taken care of your injuries from your training, but these fractures… they aren't from your training. They are new."
Katrina looked at me with more concern in her eyes.
"What can you do?" I asked.
"We wanted to wait to perform a heal pulse to help your healing process, but we need you awake for the process to take on the full effect. If it goes well then you should be ready for training next week." She said as another nurse joined her in the room.
I looked over at Katrina and tried my best to brace myself for what was going to happen. I thought for a second and thought, what is going to happen?
The audinos stood on both sides of the table. They grabbed each other's hands and closed their eyes. After a few moments, I began to feel a power surge from the audinos to me. It felt good. My body was feeling refreshed, but then there was more pain. Worse than before. My bones were going in the opposite direction of where they were meant to be. A wave of nausea wash over me and I leaned over the table. Whatever food I had in my stomach was now lining the floor.
It was still active. I could feel my mind slip in and out of control. Anger and fear ran through my head, crashing and colliding, making it impossible to focus on what was going on. I could see the nurses freaking out and Katrina yelling at them to stop.
"Katrina. It wants out." I said through gritted teeth.
I grabbed the corner of the table to help brace for more of the pain. I felt the stone crack under my strength. It wanted out and it wasn't happy that the audinos had tried to reset the process.
"You need to get a hold of yourself. Remember your training." Katrina yelled as she rushed the nurses out of the room.
I felt another surge of pain as the audinos left. It wasn't happy. It's prey was leaving. I tried to fight the anger and think of something else. Keep calm, feel the aura from within. Find the warmth.
I felt my heart beat slow and speed up. It was hard to keep a hold on the monster. I screamed in pain as there was one final surge through my body and I felt my grip on the monster slip. The sounds of my bones cracking and moving rang through the room. My vision blurred as I felt blood spill from my lips. I looked again at Katrina. I was afraid. She stared back at me. She could feel my fear. She ran to help me, but I never saw her reach me. My vision had left me as I succumbed to the pain.

"Fascinating, oh so marvelous… oh this will definitely do."
A strange high pitched cracked voice echoed through my head. A feeling of dread pulsed through me as I began to open my eyes. Sleep hung over them like a blanket, making it hard for me to understand what was going on around me. '
I squinted through heavy eyelids and saw Sir Lance and Katrina standing close to the stone table. I tried to sit up, but felt a block in my muscles. They tensed up, but not from me. I saw small yellow bugs crawling on me. Joltiks.
"The monster was almost free within the guild Koro. If it wa-" Sir Lance had started, but was cut off by the Malamar from the council.
"If it was for my brilliant powers of manipulation." The Malamar said, waving a tentacle and taking a bow in front of everyone.
"Yes. Thank you for helping , Ferris."
"Lord Ferris, Sir Lance. We must give respect where it is due." He said, having a hint of anger.
Sir Lance wasn't happy with Lord Ferris. He turned from the Lord to me.
"The incident was contained. The worst thing that you did was seriously scare some nurses Koro." He paused. He thought about his next words carefully.
"What happened? Koro, I need to understand what happened to help you. This is the third time that it has come out. I need to know if you are able to win this fight within you. Can you?" He asked.
The joltiks hopped off my body and I felt my limbs calm down. I slowly sat up and saw the bandages I had before were gone. I inspected my body for the injuries from before, but only found the scars I had before.
I looked at Sir Lance and thought about what he had asked. I didn't know how to answer him. I felt the memories of what happened trickle back into my head. I had to explain what happened.
"I had a dream. I could see or feel the darkness attacking me. I can't explain what it was like to fight it." I began.
"Did you win this… 'fight'?"He asked.
"No.. or at least I wasn't strong enough on my own at first. Something helped to fight it off. I woke up before the fight ended. That…that is why it came out when the nurses tried to heal my body. They were resetting my body to what it was before. It was taking my body again, but them moving my bones back upset it. It's power surged through my body and I wasn't ready for it. This time it was worse."
Sir Lance just stared at me, his intense glare piercing through my soul. I felt guilty for what had happened. I should have been stronger to keep the monster back. I lowered my head in shame from all of their stares. We all waited for a while. The silence was deafening.
"You need to get stronger. We will continue your training in the morning. It seems your dark form healed your body when trying to take over. " Sir Lance said as he began to leave the room.
"Sir Lance, you can not ignore the fact that he could be losing the fight inside himself. A battle inside the mind. Really quite fascinating, but you should not ignore it." Lord Ferris said.
I could help him. Through hypnosis. I am sure you know of my talents that have helped stop some of the team members from turning to the darkness. I could try my techniques on him. It would only help." Lord Ferris offered.
"I am grateful, Lord Ferris, but things must get worse before they can get better. A treatment to a wound first stings before it begins to heal." Sir Lance said exiting the room.
I sat there, thinking about what was said. Could I control this monster in me or did I need help to truly control it? I was confused and scared of what could happen. I put my arms down to push off. The stone table and felt the cracks from where I had gripped it. Pieces of rock had already fallen to the floor. I looked at the fallen rocks on the ground and found dark stains from my blackened blood on the ground. I stared into the black, images of my dream flashed through my head. So many things revealed and yet so many things were unknown to me
