Katrina left me in my room and I watched her leave me. Her confusion and fear was showing more and more in her face. I felt her aura pull back to her as if she was afraid to show it to me while she stood watch at the door. Her warm aura pulled away and shrunk to a small pulse.
The warmth was there for only mere moments as a cold presence appeared and slowly crept from the hallway. I was left trying to keep the warm aura here, but the cold presence was easily drowning out the feeling of happiness.
The door creaked open and a slimy tentacle entered the room. Then a slimy body. Lord Ferris entered the room with a crooked smile stuck on his face.
"Oh my dear boy. This incident could have been avoided if I treated you before." He cackled.
He slowly walked forward and the pattern on his stomach began to shimer different colors and shapes. My head felt dizzy and my vision began to blur. What was he doing?
"Oh, how forgetful of me. You weren't awake when I did this last time. This is my hypnosis pattern. This will weaken your mind the more you stare at it. With how weak it becomes, making the mental link is that much easier. All I need is one single touch."
Lord Ferris reached forward with one of his tentacles and touched my forehead. Darkness surrounded me and the room faded away. It was just us two in the room. I felt the chains melt from my body, but my body wasn't responding to anything I thought of. It was like the darkness was beginning to wrap around my arms and legs. Lord Ferris disappeared with a cackle and I felt myself being pulled into the darkness.
All I could see was the dark tendrils wrapped around my arms and legs. They stopped me from moving and they tightened and I felt the pain in my wrists and ankles. What was going on?
Images appeared in front of me. The moving mirror with Sir Lance on it and the plae creature appeared. I saw more pale creatures as they laughed at something and held small black boards that had shrunken pokemon moving on them. It felt familiar and yet distant at the sametime. A mere whisper or echo wrang through the images ,but only one thing was clear. A name. Caleb. Then, there was only darkness. The cold was drowning me.
--
The only thing that I could feel was something cold on my cheek. The cold sensation spread throughout my chest and under part of my arms. Then the sides of my legs and toes felt it too. A buzzing feeling hung in my head and I felt a tingling feeling in my fingertips and the tips of my toes. my eyes slowly opened, but nothing was clear. I could only see splotches of color.
I lifted my head, but it fell back to the ground and I hit the hard floor, causing my head to buzz even more. My arms lifted me from the floor and I rolled onto my back. I heard a high pitched laugh slowly approach me and I saw a purple blob stand over me. My vision slowly focused and I saw Lord Ferris standing over me, his high pitched cackle still ringing through the air.
"Hehehehe. Are you a little dizzy?" Lord Ferris asked.
I slowly sat up from the ground turning the ring in my head to a pulsing headache. I grabbed my head and out of the corner of my eye, Lord Ferris knelt down or bent his slimy body. He lowered himself and smiled at me.
"It will be okay, my boy. The dizziness will eventually disappear, but the pain does come with it's rewards."
Another creepy smile slowly formed on his face and a cold feeling washed over me.
"I did it my boy. I tamed your darkness for you." He said with a chuckle. He was very proud of his own power.
I was confused. What did that mean?
"Oh and I mean that your mind has restrained the beast to do your bidding. It is a little difficult to explain to a non psychic type pokemon, but think of it as tying up the beast and chaining him like a pet. You can let him out whenever you need and or like." He said while standing up.
He began to make his way to the door, but turned one more time. "And please take a bath. Your vomit does not have the most pleasant smell" he said and then left me in my room. The confusion was only growing more and more.
After a few minutes, Katrina entered and saw me in my sad, sick state. She rushed over and checked me over.
"How are you feeling?" She asked while catching a whiff of the terrible smell that came off of my fur.
"I feel… weak. I can't move." I said trying to get up from the floor, but my arms struggled to even hold me up. She grabbed me and slung my arm over her shoulder as she carried me out of my room.
"Come one. I know where you can wash up." She said and I saw her face. It was different. She looked sacred, but it wasn't a fear of me, but for me.
She took me to the training area and we walked past the tree line and stopped at the edge of a stream that ran by. I tumbled down into the stream and felt the cold tingle of the water. My arms slowly scrubbed away the sweat and grime that stained my fur.
I felt a paw touch my shoulder and I turned to find Nora standing behind me. She had a worried look on her face, but I couldn't really see her. I saw the scared face from the square and I didn't want to see it again.
I lowered my head in sadness. "I-I am a monster. I couldn't hold it back." Tears began to well up in my eyes, but the paw on my shoulder began to move back and forth. Was she comforting me?
I felt the water move and another paw lifted my chin to make me look at her in the eyes.
"My child. I saw the strong hold the darkness can have on pokemon. I saw Seeradans when he landed and his darkness was too far gone, worse than my-" She stopped and held back her tears.
"When you arrived and took down Seeradans, your darkness was emerging. When you saw me though, it faded away and I saw the innocent Lucario from before. My child you have a loving heart that is stronger than your darkness."
She wrapped her arms around me and pulled me in to give me a hug. It felt good and I let the tears go. She continued to rub my back until she pulled away and laughed.
"My child, you really need to take better care of yourself. You can't go around smelling like a muk." She said while pouring water and scrubbing away at my back.
The feeling of hope and love came. This gave a warm feeling to my heart and it soothed my muscles. It took awhile for me to clean myself, but with Nora's help, it went a lot faster. By the end, I felt better and more refreshed. Nora left the water and was talking with Katrina who was meditating only a few feet away.
I tried to crawl out of the river, but my muscles were still having a hard time responding to me. Both Katrina and Nora came and helped me out of the river. They sat me down against a tree and we watched the shadows stretch across the grove as the sun went down.
"Alright my children. I must leave you because I do have other business to attend to. Please take care of each other." Nora said while giving us both hugs and departed.
I looked up and watched the stars slowly appear in the night sky. They were beautiful. They glimmered and shined bringing a new light to the darkness of the night. A sliver of the moon appeared and provided a little more to the light. Then, the stars began to streak across the sky.
"Wow. It's beautiful." I said out loud.
"Yes, it is very beautiful. They say Rayquaza is the sky guardian. He is supposed to live way up high in the sky, where no pokemon can disturb him."
"He must have the best view of these falling stars." I said.
I felt something rub my shoulders and I saw Katrina holding up the red handkerchief that she bought for me. I slowly raised my arms to grab it, but they were still shaking too much for me to really do anything with them. Katrina stood and knelt down next to me to help me put it on.
"I am glad that you are okay." Katrina suddenly said.
"You were with Lord Ferris for four days and everyday he would walk into your room and moments later, I could hear you scream. It would stop until he left. He wouldn't let me check on you or bring you food. I began to think that they were letting Lord Ferris kill you." I heard a small hiccup. Katrina was beginning to tear up.
"I can't lose anymore pokemon I care about. It hurts too much." She said, lowering her head onto my shoulder.
I felt little drips as her tears fell. I didn't know what to do. She had her arms wrapped around me and rested her head on my shoulder. I slowly raised an arm and rested it on her shoulder, making an awkward hug of some sort, but it seemed to help her. Her tears began to slow and her breathing slowed down.
I looked down and saw her sleeping soundly on my shoulder. She must have been really tired to fall asleep on my shoulder. Somehow, even in her sleeping state her arms wouldn't let me go. So I stayed there and watched the stars fall. It was peaceful.
My dreams were images of what I saw with Lord Ferris. The name came back. Caleb. I didn't know what it meant, but I could feel something when the name came up. The answer was so close. As if the answer was waiting for me on the other side of a piece of glass. The sound would ring through just enough to let me hear that something was there, but I wasn't strong enough to break through the glass. Something was there behind it. It was too foggy to really make out what it was. If only it came closer to the edge.
Something else appeared. A small spherical creature that was pink and red. It floated at the edge of the glass and stared at me. I saw a smile form on its face as it turned it's back on me and left for the other creature that stood far away. I banged on the glass to try and get the small creature to turn around and help me get in. I needed to see what was there. I need to get in there.
The creature wouldn't turn around and tried more frantically to get it's attention, but to no avail it disappeared from my view with the other creature. I slumped down and felt despair in my heart. Then, the small pink creature was right next to me, like a flash of lightning.
"I found you." It said in a childish voice and then was followed by the sound of glass breaking.
