Here is the next chapter. For future reference Tom Senior is Tom Riddle and Tom Junior is Harry Potter. Please read and review thanks, love Angel x

Filius Flitwick was so very pissed a rarity for him. The foolishness of others never ceased to amaze him. Did they really think he wouldn't know what had been going on? Sometimes people would forget he was a goblin too. His own brother was the head of the whole of the goblin nation. Just because he never advertised that fact as others would didn't mean it wasn't true. Ragnok Flitwick had asked his brother Filius not to tell anyone they were related when he went for his Hogwarts job and he had done so. Afterwards when he gotten the job he had explained he was related to Ragnok but not in which way something he had always refused to tell anyone else. Eventually people had realised that always asking him about something he felt uncomfortable sharing was creepy and had stopped doing it. How far were things with Hagrid and Tom going to continue?

He called Tom into his office smiling as the boy entered. "Hello Tom and thank you for staying behind after class. I have a gift for you. Please choose one of these that you like the most and hand it to me!" he instructed presenting him with a ring box which was full of silver broaches of various designs. Tom looked confused but did look into the box eventually finding a strip Celtic designed broach which would always go on his tie. He watched as Filius removed the broach from the box and placed it on a conjured velvet cushion. He removed a tiny vial of blood pouring it over the broach and speaking in gobbledegook until it had all soaked into the broach and was gone completely. He then pointed his wand at the broach and said various spells quickly and so quickly Tom didn't even catch him.

"Now we are done. Wear this pin on your tie each weekday and it will stop Miss Granger from being within ten feet of you. This means she can of course be in the same classroom as you but may not sit near you. This is infused with a tiny bit of her blood so that it only targets her and of course a strong compulsion charm which will make her want to do something else when she approaches you. I cannot give you one for the weekend so you'll be on your own then but this is meant to help you in your studies. To be honest I am furious and disgusted no one has realised how much she annoys you. Please wear this always. Also if you forget to take it off a tie before it gets cleaned it will automatically transfer to your clean one. Go on now to your next class!" he said kindly as Tom stood there utterly slack jawed.

When Tom Riddle had been in school Professor Flitwick hadn't been there and no one had cared about him like this. It did feel nice to feel noticed and seen for the right reasons. I mean he wasn't even his head of house and he was helping him out. Severus did a wonderful job too but Filius was amazing at helping him out. Most teachers just reprimanded Hermione thinking she was slow and would get the point eventually but Filius knew better. He knew she wouldn't relent. He had placed a goblin device on the underside of her desk which was used in goblin law to collect certain memories you told it to without alerting the person. He had collected and viewed her lessons with Albus with a frown. He had told her many lies about Tom Potter and had taught her very advanced stuff before even thinking to teach her the basics first. It didn't get any more dangerous than that. She was very proficient in dangerous spells but useless at anything basic which is much more important. There is no point being good at the tough spells if you're only going to fail at the basics. It destabilises everything eventually so her advanced spells could end up kicking her own arse later.

He thought she might have even deserved it too although he didn't actually voice that opinion. His own occlumency was goblin occlumency so it could never be penetrated by a mere wizard like Dumbledore or Voldemort for that matter. It was one reason Voldemort had often feared him as well although he'd never actually voiced that opinion as to do so would have been seen as weak.

"Thank you sir and thank you for caring too. Professor Snape is wonderful but it's so lovely to see another professor also be caring. I don't know if it's wrong to say this and I'm sorry if it is but if someone told me you were the vice headmaster of this school I would believe them!" he said with a slight blush as Filius laughed a deep throaty sort of laugh which sounded a little bit dangerous too.

"Flattery will get you everywhere Mr Potter. Technically it's not that good that you said it but unfortunately I can see why and I am not happy about it. Had Minerva only been doing her job properly Miss Granger might not be suck a pain in the wand. Her insufferable behaviour should have been nipped in the bud however it wasn't and we're now suffering for it. Not in my damn lesson though!" he snapped punching the table before him in rage before looking a bit bashful and chuckling a little bit.

"Don't annoy me Mr Potter and let that be a lesson to everyone else as well. Go on to your next lesson now!" he said serious as Tom smiled thanking him again and left.

He was now wearing his pin on his but on the inside so it couldn't be obviously seen. He didn't want people to be able to ask about it such as where he got it and so on. Ron was fast becoming his friend along with Blaise Zabini and Neville Longbottom. The four were now inseparable and did much to break through that stupid wall which divided the houses. On both sides people had tried to discourage it from happening but the Gryffindors who had been reminded of Percy Weasley soon shut up as they didn't want to be de homed as well. Tom and Blaise just made sure the Slytherins were not a problem. Draco Malfoy wasn't in transfigurations as he'd spoken out of turn one too many times and was now making his way down from the astronomy tower. Every time he overdid he would find himself there and was highly confused although it wasn't teaching him to close his mouth the way it should have been. He was too stupid to get it. He really did think he was just always right which wasn't good. He would eventually learn to cop on it would just take him longer than most because he was so vein. The last time he hadn't ended up there but his hair products had. He went frantic looking for them. In all honesty he looked lovely without them as his hair fell loosely around his face but he didn't think so. The bloody blonde bastard thought the oil slick look was the greatest thing since sliced bread and wouldn't be told otherwise.

As for that tie pin Hermione actually wouldn't think she'd need to do something else she'd know she wanted to be by his side but be simply unable to do so. It was a thing Filius had lied about because he thought making her look a bit insane might get her out of the castle and out of his hair permanently. Sometimes Minerva was too lazy for her own good. Look at what had happened with Percy bloody Weasley and all because she'd been given too much to do. He was later on that day shocked when she resigned as the vice headmistress of the school stating she needed to be able to teach and be in her house common room more often. He actually praised her for it and for prioritising her duties in a way which worked. The Board of Governors had listened with rapt interest to her suggestion on who should be her replacement and sent a letter out. If the person accepted it would make things interesting indeed. Also as it was not obligatory to tell Dumbledore about it no one was doing so. When a new vice headmistress was found he'd hear about it.
