My own rage warmed my muscles as I stood in my fighting stance. Focusing my aura, I made a sphere and sent it flying at eevee. More of the small pokemon appeared like a mirage. My sphere got rid of one of them, but the rest still remained and slowly walked forward. I ran forward and hit each mirage till the real one was left. With one more punch I swung, but she quickly dodged my attack and slammed into my stomach. I stumbled back and felt small vines wrap around my legs. I felt my energy being drained as my ankles went numb from the vines. A blast of fire seared my left arm, and I felt a large rock slam into my side. A freezing blast and a boiling blast of water hit my back. I crumpled tot eh ground with most of my body feeling numb or screaming at my mind in pain.
"I believe that I asked for the monster to come out and fight with me" the eevee pleaded again.
I felt fear peirce through the rage in my heart. I wasn't going to win this by myself. I knew what I needed to do, but would I really come back from it like before? Did the treatment actually work? I needed to try.
I felt the monster from the depths of my heart and mind like a raging river during a rainstorm. My muscles surged and grew. I slowly grew taller and felt the strength and power pump through my veins. It felt different. It felt like I was in control. It felt good. I stood before the eeveelutions and roared at them. I wanted them afraid. I wanted to hurt them. I wanted them to let go of Katrina.
"Now we can see the real you. Oh, the beauty of how you have embraced your dark desires. Now she me what you can do. She me how much you desire to stop me."
I took the invite and charged forward swinging my claws at her. Her sisters quickly leapt out of my reach, but that didn't matter because the eevee wasn't fast enough to dodge me. She was my target.
I felt only air as I swung. I looked around to find the eeveelutions smiling at me. I felt a light patter on my fur like rain as I felt the eevee lunge her fangs into my neck. The bite was like fire, but no flames came from it. I reached to pull her off, but she let go and with a flick of her tail knocked me in the face to send me to the ground. The pain in my neck caused my vision to blur and I tried to calm my breathing to slow the pain, but the pain itself was worse than the first time that I transformed into the beast.
"I am deeply sorry. Where are my manners, Koro? I am Elizabeth. Here sisters. Let me take care of this myself. After all that is proper fighting" The eevee said as she wipes my dark blood from her mouth, leaving a dark smear on her cheeks.
"You see the easiest way to show the truth to someone is to get the substance into them but eating it doesn't work out to well; I have learned that through some of the villagers. I have found the best way for someone to see the truth is if the darkness is in the blood. Flowing to the heart and mind inside of forcing it's way there through the stomach and skin."
I felt the anger rise in me as I imagined them cutting or biting my friends to simply pour the dark sludge into them. I tried to rise but flexing the muscles on my neck caused the burning to hurt more.
"The process is very painful. Almost like it's burning your soul ayla from the inside." She began to laugh as the words clicked into my head.
I felt a roaring within my chest and stood to face the cackling eevee. I felt the searing pain wash away from my neck. The eevee last the cackle for only a moment before laughing even harder.
"You are definitely strong, but I want to see your true power. I have heard so much terror and fear from the stories of this grand creature that destroyed homes, families, and put fear in the council of the guild. Don't hold back my dear. It's impolite."
I felt the beast biting at the back of my mind. It wanted carnage and pain. I wanted it too. I felt the muscles in my arms and legs tense and flex. A coat of strength and energy rested upon them. I felt the beast merge with my movements. The adrenaline pumped through my veins and I- we shook from the anticipation of the fight.
We charged forward again. Elizabeth charged forward too. Her smile still spanning across her blood smeared face. We slammed both of our arms downward. The impact cracked the floor and shook the dust from the cave's ceiling free. We smiled and gave our own laugh because we felt the soft fur when we hit. Lifting our arms, we saw the small eevee body in the centered of the crater, but the only visible damage that we saw was her dark blood spilling from her head down to her cheek in a small drip. Her dark smile still faced us. We quickly slashed, but she jumped and smacked our arms to the ground. The sheer hit from her caused our arms to go numb.
"You may be powerful but listen my dear monster. In the end, power does not beat experience and experience with power beats everything" she said and slammed a headbutt right into our jaw to send us back to the ground.
I felt the monster crawl back to the back of my mind. It was scared. The chains held it back too much. It wasn't going to save me now. I was left alone here in the cave. My friends slowly being sent to the dark abyss and my strongest power wasn't good enough to beat her.
I laid on the ground and looked over at Katrina and my friends. Tears flooded my vision as the failure set in and take my heart. I wasn't strong enough to save them. "I'm sorry" I said.
"Is this really it for the great monster of Grandon village. I was barely scratched by it and the elders struggled with you. This world truly does need our help sisters. We must work harder to show everyone the true power behind…" Elizabeth trailed off.
I looked through the tears and saw Katrina twitching and something in her eyes changed. I saw the fire burning in her. I felt her aura bursting through Elizabeth's darkness. She turned her head and slouched over onto all fours. A ravenous animal bore Katrina's fangs at Elizabeth. Her eyes glowed red, but they didn't hold the darkness around them.
The crimson arm band that she wore began to glow a bright shade of orange and Katrina grew larger. More spikes covered her body and her blood almost looked like it seeped through and stained her paws. I felt the rage burst through the room like a gust from a blistering desert. Something didn't feel right though. The light in her aura wasn't complete.
"Is this the monster's pet? That is very cute. Come here little one. Let's-" Elizabteh wasn't able to finish her statement as Katrina had slammed into her, tackling her to the ground. Elizabeth slammed back with her own headbutt to knock Katrina off of her. They both stood and began circling each other. Both waited for the other to strike. Elizabeth's smile only grew more at the fun that she was having.
I looked around at the eeveelution sisters. Some looked between each other and others just stood in fear as the two girls circled each other. I could see the confusion in the sisters. This was getting out of hand. I tried to get up, but my body was too tired to act so I sat there and looked at Katrina to see what would happen.
