I felt tears welling up in my eyes and I felt the need to get away. I didn't want to let anyone see me cry. I walked towards the trees, not knowing where I was going. I let the noise of the crowd fade behind me. I saw the orange ray of the sunset bouncing off a lake in the distance.

The tears began to stream down my cheeks as the trees cleared away for the lakeshore. Once the tears started I couldn't stop them. I let the emotions flow and flood my mind and heart. All the emotions from my memories flooded and the village ran through and caused more tears to flow.

I sat down at the shore and watched the moon replace the sun. The orange rays turning into the white rays of the full moon. Looking at the rays I saw something ripple in the water. I looked in and saw the pale human face staring back at me. I rubbed a few tears away and wiped the human reflection away to see the monster now staring back at me.

I curled my fists and began slapping the water with all my strength. With each hit the reflection changed between the human and the monster. One smiled with an evil grin and the other smiled with a happy innocent smile, but neither felt like it wasn't me. My lucario reflection came through and I was left staring. My tears rippled through the water.

Through the tears I said to myself, "What am I?"

"I would call you my friend out of all of it."

I turned around to find Katrina emerge from the tree line. She didn't break her eye contact from the ground as she walked forward and sat down next to me on the shore, pulling her knees into her chest. She carefully folded her scarf further around her neck to keep it from touching the water.

"You're the first real friend that I have. Without you we would be dead in the ruble of that dungeon" She continued, "Without you, I would have killed everyone in there."

Her voice began to quiver as she tried to breath. I watched as her tears began to stream down her cheeks.

"I would have killed you. You helped me come back."

I didn't know what to say. We sat there for a while watching the water shimmer with the moonlight. Both are tears had already dried on our fur and then she began to stir. She reached over to me, holding something.

I looked over and saw the red handkerchief with the squad pin in it. I took it and stared at the gems in the pin. The moonlight shined off the crystals. I lowered the handkerchief and sighed as my new memories trickled to the front of my head.

"I remember my mother and father."

Katrina perked her head and ears as she waited for me to continue, but I didn't know how to tell her all the thoughts that were running through my head. The empty s[pace that was building between us was the worst as I tried to search for the right words. My body reacted with more tears as I finally opened my mouth to say, "I am not what you think I am. I am not a normal Pokémon."

I could sense the confusion come off of her.

"I know that it doesn't make complete sense, but I am not a normal Pokémon. I have memories of being this pale creature with no fighting abilities or abilities. I was a frail creature that grew up with a loving mother and father."

"W-what do mean?"

"I-I don't know. I just know that I am scared."

I turned to her and stared into her eyes.

"I am scared Katrina. I have these memories, but they don't feel like my own. There are too many voices in my head I don't know which one is me."

She stared at me and grabbed the handkerchief from me. She looked at it for a moment before reaching around me and began tying the handkerchief on. I watched her as she pulled away and rested her paw on the the pendent.

"I can't say about your memories before you showed up in Grandon Village, but what I can say is that you are my friend. You have saved me. Sir Lance taught me that only a friend or family would do something like that."

She came close and gave me a warm embrace, causing me to only caused more tears to flow from me. I hugged her back and then we pulled away to see the morning rays begin their dance across the lake. I felt peace and focus for a short moment again just like before on the training grounds.

"So, that's where the two lucario's went" Carter yelled as he jumped closed to the water. I watched him eye the water closely.

"Oh, did I interrupt something happening between the two of you" Carter asked with an awkward smirk on his face. Katrina stood and and had the usual serious glare on her face as she walked toward the trees where Zeina stood.

I stood and Carter patted me on the back.

"So, what were you two up to?" Carter asked, still holding the smirk.

"Nothing" I answered.

"And those tears were nothing? It's okay to cry when you kiss a girl for the first time. That's what happe-"

"What?! No. Geez." I stopped Carter before he finished his sentence.

Zeina watched followed as we went into the trees to join Katrina. I could see the tiredness in both Carter's and Zeina's eyes. The past few days have definitely given us good reason to rest for a little while. I smiled at as I watched the team walk back towards the village. We walked together and looked at each other. I could sense a feeling of accomplishment flow through each one of us. We survived and helped a whole village to begin to rebuild. We did something great.

We arrived at the village just as the mornings rays were waking up the residents. Some smiled, others waved. It was a happy greeting, but I felt a different aura as we approached the hut that had our stuff. There was an sense of seriousness and worry looming over the hut. I looked at Katrina who was already looking back at me. We followed Carter and Zeina into the hut and matched their surprised looks as we saw another team waiting inside talking with the nidoking.

We all stared at the strength and power of the team that seemed to be waiting for us. A Garchomp towered over all of us. His large fangs and claws sending a surge of nervousness and intimidation through us all. He wore his team pin on an arm sleeve. A corviknight shock his metallic armor as he ruffled his large feathers. His dark glare board into each one of us. Some of his armor matched the color of his teammate. Then there was the final member was a gliscor. His yellows and large fangs didn't bring a calm feeling to the rest of the room. He wore a waist band of fabric. Their team colors were purple and dark green. Nothing from them brought a feeling of comfort or calm. They all stared and expected one of us to answer, but the feelings of intimidation were too strong.

"We heard of your great deeds here. You four did a great job, but it looks like it didn't go without some difficulty" the gliscor said.

He gave a smile, revealing his large fangs to try and bring us comfort and reassurance, but I couldn't feel any fear leave me.

With no one answering or talking the gliscor continued, "We came here because we are here to escort you back to the guild. It seems that you are needed back at the guild as quickly as possible. They sent us here to make sure that you make it back."

Zeina stepped forward, "Now why would the number one dungeon team be sent as only an escort for another team back to the guild."

"No. No. You misunderstand Zeina. We are not here for all of you. Just him" The gliscor responded and pointed his giant claw at me.

I felt my heart drop a little as people began looking at me in surprise and confusion, but it was a little familiar from before.

"As in why, I cannot say. We just do as we are told.

This brought a huge amount of pressure on the team to pack and leave. I could tell that the village wanted us to stay longer, but the intimidating team made sure that we did our very best to get ready.

As we left the village, most of the village showed up to say good-bye to us and send us off. I felt their happiness beat off of them with every heart beat. As we walked away I could feel their happiness turn into I hope and that was the best part of all. Especially seeing the nidoking smile with his daughter at the front of the crowd.
