"We understand that Sir Lance. There is no need to cause an outburst the," general said to calm him down. "But that doesn't change the fact of what he is and what he has done since his arrival in this world. He has earned the title of monster."
"HOW DARE YOU?!" Latios yelled and almost charged at the general. Latias stood in front of him as the rest of the council tensed up and almost jumped to protect their general. The tension only grew as everyone refused to back down from the challenge.
The pink ball nervously floated forward. "Please, we aren't meant to fight amongst ourselves. The enemy is out there. Planning to destroy us all. We need to focus and work together to save our families. If not for them, then do it to save yourself because if we don't then it will be truly the end for us all."
The words penetrated the tension in the area and both Latios and the council backed down slowly. I felt the fear emit from each teammate behind me. Even Tarik's team emitted fear in a small wave through the room.
The pink orb took a deep breathe of relief. "Okay, Good. Now we can talk about the more important things at hand." The orb turned to me and spoke," I apologize Caleb. I understand that entering one's dreams is trespassing and I apologize. Oh dear, I haven't told my name. I'm Moana. I was the one that spoke to you in your dreams."
"Those didn't feel like my dreams. What did you show me? Caleb feels like my name and yet it isn't. What you showed me bro-opened something. What did you do to me?" I said covering head as flashbacks of those dreams came back and brought a torrent of pain rushing through it before.
"But Caleb. Those images were your own. I was just trying to use them to help call for help. it had worked before with others."
"Well, it didn't look like that. I don't know who I am anymore!
The pain surged worse than before. I collapsed to the floor and felt arms try and hold me, but I couldn't focus on them. I felt the cold ground resting against my forehead. My body began to ache, and I felt the adrenaline rush through me as I felt the itching in the back of my head. The monster felt the stress and pain. It wanted out. It wanted the pain to stop.
I felt my muscles tighten up and the echoes of people screaming, and scrambling went around me. I felt a something soft touch my shoulder followed by a soft voice. It snuck through the clamor and noise and began calming my heart. The pain seeped away, and I opened my eyes to see Katrina staring down at me. Everyone was staring at me. I saw Latios in a headlock with Korook. The general was holding Korook's arm. Sir Lance rushed over to me and to a quick look over me.
"Was that the monster?" Latias asked as everyone slowly let go of each other.
I heard a large grunt come from Korook as he scoffed. I slowly sat and saw the faces of Latios and Latias stare in horror at me. It was as if I had killed one of their loved ones. The pure horror that was on their faces. They were not so quick now to call me a savior or hero for them.
Katrina stayed next to me as everyone returned to their seats. Latios couldn't get rid of his shocked look. He only floated there as Latias continued the meeting.
"Koro. Is that the form that was responsible of the destruction in Grandon village?" She asked.
I could only muster a nod for a response.
"What do we do?" Latias asked as she looked to her companions, hoping to find a glimpse of wisdom or hope in their faces, but no one could give it to her. The room filled with dread and a dark feeling loomed over the council room.
Katrina spoke up and asked, "I don't fully understand Sir Lance. What are these legendary Pokémon speaking of? How is Koro a savior? He is just a regular Lucario is he not a Lucario?"
Sir Lance finally looked up from the floor and took in a deep breath.
"My young student. I have noticed a difference in the aura ever since he arrived. At first, I thought it weas the darkness that was inside him, but training with him made me see something else."
He rested his elbows between his legs and stared into space as if seeing a different time before him. "There was a time. A time when there were brave fighters that traveled here to our home world to help us whenever we were in dire need of it."
"They saved our world countless times. A meteor coming to crush our world. The tree of life being stolen from us, Pokémon being turned to stone. We would call out and a brave warrior would answer the call. They appeared to be Pokémon, but they weren't. They were human."
"We stopped calling for them as our own power grew as we worked together. We also found a major problem with some of the warriors from another world."
"They had grown to love our world and the Pokémon with in it and so when it came time for them to return to their homes, they didn't want to leave. With the world ending problems the world was in a major in balance. An imbalance that is meant to be corrected by the human, but this imbalance of the world calling for humans only causes more imbalance that when the world is safe from the dangers that human prevented, the human themselves become the very imbalance to the nature of our world. By them just being here causes our world to crumble and decay away. So, the council came to the decision to never call for heroes again. To call for them could save or end our world."
"I believe that the legendary Pokémon are the ones that called for K-Caleb to arrive to our world. Them doing so, without the favor of the council, has caused this confusion and great concern to a new human arrival, but his arrival was different than the others I have heard of. Most knew of the great purpose they were needed for. They knew of the great power that they possessed."
"You don't think it was that meteor that we shot down a month ago, do you?" Carter asked Zeina and caused everyone to turn to Korook who stared back at everyone with no fear in his stern eyes.
I couldn't focus enough to feel the aura in the room, but I didn't need abilities to tell that everyone was surprised by the information that we were getting. It was a struggle to wrangle all the thoughts and questions that rant through my head. I wanted to ask questions, but I was scared of the answer. So, we all just sat there and waited for someone else to tell us what to do next.
