Tom had just enough time to tell Tonks he'd be fine and not to worry before he was whisked away. He was in all honesty surprised to arrive and find the manor in perfect condition. He was if he was honest wondering what the problem was as he really wasn't seeing it right now. Lolly looked concerned so obviously something was indeed going on. "Sir outside you will find Lucius Malfoy and Albus Dumbledore trying to break in to the manor and I don't know why. I cannot help I don't think and I panicked if I did something wrong sir I am sorry!" she said in a panic. Tom knelt down and cuddled her closely for a moment.
"Lolly you did the best thing you could do well done for thinking to get me so quickly. I need you now to make me invisible and put me near them so I may hear what they are discussing and learn some information!" he ordered as she smiled proudly and did as he asked. He was soon positioned right behind them in such a way that they couldn't see him. Dumbledore looked very angry and Lucius looked highly confused almost as though he didn't know why he was even there in the first place.
"Albus as you know one does hear things and I heard there was a new Lord Addlemore. He has personally done things to my family in the past and I hoped that the new Lord might be favourable to a chat so this matter can be recovered. What are you doing here though? I had hoped to find him myself!" Lucius said a weird glint in his eye. Tom watched with interest not doing anything for now.
"Lucius do not be like me. Take this advice seriously. Years ago I knew the original Lord Addlemore and I asked him to give me something which he refused to do after I had continuously pestered him to do something else which I shouldn't have done. I am hoping the new Lord Addlemore will give me what he wouldn't. Also as you yourself said it is highly suspicious that there is a new Lord Addlemore. I wasn't remotely informed of this and had to find out at the bank when someone asked about it and they said they'd pass whatever it was onto the new Lord Addlemore!" he said seriously as Lucius regarded him carefully.
"As you can see Albus this new Lord Addlemore is obviously paranoid as all hell as he has warded the Merlin out of his manor. My grandfather kept a record of the floo password to Addlemore Manor and when I attempted to use it I was rejected out here like this. I am attempting to break through these ridiculous wards. Someone asked me to look into this family before and I don't know why as they were not alive when he was. It matters not who it was but it was annoying none the less!" he said once more aiming his wand at the house. It was unsuccessful as suspected. Tom clicked his fingers and Lolly once more took him inside the home. He used his Metamorphmagus abilities to make himself look way older and give himself a highly deep voice. To make matters more interesting he made himself much taller too. He put his occlumency shields at maximum and Tom senior came out. It would be so very interesting to watch them explain themselves. He exited the manor and walked down to where they were and they gasped as they saw him. He was exactly six ft. two inches in height.
"Gentlemen may I help you? Why are you trying to damage my wards sir? Be warned if your answer is not good there will be repercussions!" he snapped at Lucius ignoring Dumbledore who scowled deeply at being left out. He really hated being ignored. It was truly horrible. Lucius jumped.
"I do apologise sir I attempted to floo directly to the house but I was summarily kicked out. My grandfather had the floo password and I assumed it would be ok to use it. It obviously wasn't. Old Lord Addlemore stole various artefacts from my grandfather and I'd like them back!" he said seriously as Tom rolled his eyes. Lucius truly had no idea who he was dealing with but Tom liked letting him talk as he could always punish him later on.
"As for you Albus Dumbledore I'd be a fool if I didn't know who you were now what do you want? Did old Lord Addlemore have some of your families artefacts as well? I know he was fond of taking things sometimes which were not his which is most unfortunate!" he said acting in a way which made them think he felt sympathy towards Lucius which he most certainly did not.
"Good afternoon Lord Addlemore and what a pleasant day it is. I am actually here to discuss something with you. A long time ago when I knew Lord Addlemore I asked him to give me something and he said no but I deserved it because I kept hounding him to do something else and should have known better. I am here to ask if you will give it to me but you may deal with Lord Malfoy first if you prefer!" he said as Tom rose his eyebrows in mock surprise. He led them towards the house where they were granted a one-time entrance. This meant they could enter this one time but wouldn't be able to remember what it had looked like after they left. He could do this as many times as he wanted to and no one would ever remember what the house looked like if he didn't want them to. He led them into the informal lounge where he asked Albus to wait. He led Lucius up to his office and sat behind the desk as Lucius sat in the seat I front of him.
"Lucius you never do know who you're conversing with and that is indeed a problem. Tom Potter is a dear friend of mine. You see he knows a plethora of people neither you nor I know anything about and I wouldn't want you to forget that. Now what exactly did Lord Addlemore take from your grandfather?" he asked as Lucius looked highly defiant.
"You have no true idea to whom you are speaking. I would not assume you know anything about me because you do not. Tom Potter is no threat in this situation. Lord Addlemore senior if you will took many Malfoy family tea chests and some of them were very dear to my grandmother and he died before she could get them back. It was my wish to get them back and fulfil her dying wish!" he said seriously as Tom groaned in his seat surprising Lucius who didn't see this response coming.
"To be honest old Lord Addlemore was a pain in the arse with the dirty house and love of wear which I don't share as you can probably tell. Just a moment. Yes there you are now please check the house for any Malfoy tea chests and give them to Mr Malfoy when you find them!" he asked Lolly nicely. They had agreed that while the others were here he'd click his fingers to call her instead of doing so by name. Downstairs Albus was having a cup of tea and relaxing while the situation upstairs was dealt with. Lolly nodded once and bowed returning a few minutes later with the chests which were not filled with fine bone china as he'd said but highly illegal potions ingredients which became obvious as soon as Lolly opened the chests and showed them to Tom who gasped.
"Mr Malfoy I am many things but a fool I could never be. These are not what you said but then again you're stupid grandfather may have lied about they contained or something I am not sure. I am sure however that I do not want jail time you swine. Have you any idea how dangerous these are if in the wrong hands? I cannot believe he would put us all in such danger reckless idiot!" he snapped as Lucius jumped to his feet and whipped his wand out very fast.
"How dare you? I am Lord Malfoy and will not be spoken to in such a manor. I will not be threatened in this fashion. I too know Tom Potter in fact he and I are great friends. Let me relieve you of this burden and be on my way. How much will it take huh? Ten thousand or twenty? I'm not poor I can go higher if you like. We will not discuss this again!" he snapped reached for the trunks and growling as they were pulled out of his reach.
"Lucius Malfoy might I remind you that I am not the Minister of Magic. I actually have a spine and do think for myself. I'm not some reckless fool who accepts bribes from the likes of you. If you do not vacate my home in sixty seconds you shall regret it. NOW GET OUT!" he thundered as Lucius jumped up and ran at the trunks before being hit with a torture curse only Tom Senior would know and chucked forcefully into the nearby fireplace and flooed home still spasming. Bloody idiot throwing his wealth around like nothing. He went downstairs where Albus was asking if he could have more tea and was getting annoyed when Lolly had said no. Lolly wasn't always at the house but did check in on it from time to time and Tom didn't want her to have to be cleaning up dishes all the time so he'd told her to give Dumbledore one cup of tea and no more.
"You can't say no to me I'm Albus Dumbledore! I'm not a death eater or something. How dare you!?" he snapped starting to stand up.
"Mr Dumbledore I would remind you whose house you are in now sit down and tell me what it is you want. Don't ever threaten house elves again in front of me or I will be sure to publicly label you dark and we all know you wouldn't want that now don't we? I will have a cold lemonade please!" he asked Lolly who nodded once and returned with his drink when he dismissed her. He sat opposite Albus who once again sat down and looked highly freaked out.
"I suppose I could have handled that better and for that I guess I must apologise. Now as I explained earlier I asked old Lord Addlemore for something and I'd like to now as you for it!" he said with a dramatic flourish of his hands. Tom waited patiently without speaking and Albus faltered when he realised he'd be expected to just continue. This was very awkward indeed.
"Years ago I had an organisation called The League of Ashes which I asked Addlemore to join on several occasions. This League of Ashes was a vigilante group set up by me to target Gellert Grindlewald. Let's just say he wasn't who I thought he was and leave it at that. Obviously as you know I defeated him but now things are changing. I have changed the name of my league to The Order of the Phoenix and now it's mission is to target and destroy Voldemort who isn't gone only in hiding somewhere. I have it on good authority he has been hiding out in the Himalayan Mountains to recover his strength before he gets back to target Tom Potter. There were rumours of course that Caractacus Burke had killed him but it's not true. I asked old Lord Addlemore for a room of his manor to host my Order of the Phoenix meetings as and when I needed it. I told him he could even be a member but he outright refused. Will you give me a room like that please I really need it!" he said as Tom looked dumbstruck. The Himalayan Mountains? Really? Albus really sounded like he wasn't dealing with a full deck right now.
"Mr Dumbledore I will need a moment to think this over. I believed Lord Voldemort to be dead what proof have you he isn't?" he said as Dumbledore's expression turned very grave indeed.
"I shouldn't say this but I can't lie either. He created horcruxes and I don't know precisely how many he did make either. He needs to be stopped and Tom Potter cannot hope to do so without my guidance but I need somewhere away from school which is safe to train him. No one would suspect the Order of the Phoenix to be in Addlemore Manor. Please help me to end Voldemort!" he said as Tom reeled.
"You dare to talk of such foul things in my house! How dare you? I will hear no more of your nonsense! Our guest will be leaving now show him to the door or preferably Saint Mungos for a treatment of some kind. I know Tom Potter and you are to leave that boy alone as he is a friend to me and I will not see him harmed!" he snapped.
"Lord Addlemore please I am very sorry I just need a safe place for my headquarters and here really isn't known to anyone. I would be most obliged if you would do this! I am sorry but he wouldn't see reason and neither will you I have no choice!" he said raising his wand and firing a spell. The room lit up in a golden hue for a moment. Then all was silent!
