So our class was facing off with pretty much everyone else at the exam. We'd formed a pretty strong central formation.

A strange looking Shiketsu High student was watching us.

"So most of the projectiles get deflected, eh?"

"The kids from UA won't be done in with just something like this," sneered back the boy who'd shaken Jirou and Kaminari's hands at the gate. Think you're pretty smooth, don't ya?

"Even still, I see an opening," said the skull faced one, as he was doing something with the target balls. Which changed their shape into something rocky. "You take it from here," he said, tossing them to a boy with long black hair.

"I'll take it from here," black hair agreed. "This may be a bit of a reckless misstep on my part, but I'll be grateful if it is overlooked if I am about to take out some of our opponents." He held up the balls and tossed them into the ground.

"The balls are coming from underground!" panicked Midoriya.

"Everyone, get down!" called Jirou. "I'll take care of this."

Amplifier Jack. It's perfect for this.

She slammed her fists into the ground. Blew it up, destroyed it completely. It was truly impressive! Well done, Jirou.

The balls shot out of the ground. I heard Mineta panic "The'yre coming our way!" But it was easy for Mina to dissolve the balls with acid.

"We're saved! All thanks to your awesome technique!" said Mineta.

"By making my acid more gooey and attaching it to walls, it came come in handy as a defensive techniques."

"Black AnkH!" cried TOkoyami.

"Easier to say and cooler looking!" said Midoriya, as Tokoyami used his ultimate move to swipe someone.

""This is not the same class A we saw at the Sports Festival," said the sneer guy. "They've come so far in that time already. All right." He cracked his fingers. Uh oh.

"Get away! Those guys have a solid defense. I'll split it! Maximum power! Terming Earth!"

The entire area around us broke into pieces that blew off in every other direction. It was chaos - falling - exploding -

I stood up and found myself near Asui, Shoji and - lying on the ground - Jirou!

"Yaomomo!" She jumped and ran to me. She sat up easily. "I'm ok," I smiled. "Are you?"

"Yeah." Asui and Shoji sat up and joined us.

"Guess we've been split up."

"Should we try and regroup?"

"Ther'es no time," I told them. "We're probably better off looking for people to take out. Our time is limited, after all."

Jirou nodded. So we headed out, ready to find somehing.

"Given the situation," I told them "It will probably be best to get inside and take a look from one of these buildings. We'll be able to scout out our classmates."

Over the loudspeaker a voice called, "Currently, 56 people have passed. Don't panic, but please hurry and do your best."

We'd made it to the top floor and Shoji took a look through the window. Jirou used her jacks to scout out the rest of the building.

"Shoji, how's it look?"

"It's no use. I don't see anyone from our class," he answered.

"Maybe they're in a different area."

"Most likely."

"Yaoyorozu, you heard the broadcast, right?" said Shoji. "The number who've passed is already past the halfway mark."

"We should probably give up on finding everyone else, and start fighting ourselves, don't you think?" said Tsu.

"Yes, you're right," I told them.

"Shh"! Jirou told us . "I hear footsteps from four people on the stairs. About ten floors below. They're coming up!"

"Are they after us?" cried Tsu.

"It bothers me that there are only four coming."

"All the schools should be moving in bigger teams than that."

"Maybe their companions were defeated and they're running away to hide here," said Tsu.

"No, that's not what it sounds like. They're still climbing up," I told her.

"There must be more of them," I thought, is this a distraction? Or worse?

JIrou screamed! I ran to her and held her up as she collapsed. "Jirou!"

Shoji put his ear to the wall "There's music playing. I'm fine…but hearing it suddenly must have been tough on Jirou"

"So they know KYoka's quirk and are interfering with it on purpose," said Tsu.

"They must be after us, then."

"This is bad."

"Now we can't tel lwehre our opponents are," I murmured.

CRASH!

The windows broke. One by one.

"Attacks from outside?" Jirou gasped, hiding behind a safe space.

"Yes," said Shoji. Are they trying to keep me from using my eyes too?"

The first thing they did was seal off Jiro and Shoji's quirks, I thought. Which are good for finding the enemy. Our opponents know exactly who we are, and more importantly what we can do.

"Yaoyorozu, what is our opponent after?" said Shoji.

"They're probably trying to keep us rooted here.

"And then they'll surroudn us, huh?" said Tsu.

"Yes. We should probably assume that they're already close by."

"Then we need to fight!" Jirou stood up, ready to move.

"Wait!" I shouted. "We can't move carelessly."

"Heartbeat Dist-"

Something - shot through her amp!

"Are you hurt?" I called

"They got my amp! And my left ear!"

They knew what she'd do? If theywere able to predict our actions so accurately after seeing only one attack in the beginning of the exam, then their plan is well thought out. There must be someone extremely intelligent among our opponents, a student with an eye for strategy...

"Does it feel a little colder to you?" said Shoji.

"Actually, yes..."

We looked up.

"There's cold air coming from the vents."

The windows shuttered suddenly.

"They've shut us in."

"The temperature's also decreasing steadily," I called.

"I-it's too cold!" Jirou stammered out. As we spoke, TSu collapsed.

"As, what's wrong?" said Shoji.

"Could it be that since the temperature dropped all at once, she's started getting ready for hibernation?"

"Fire, make a lighter!" said Shoji.

"I can't. The sprinklers will turn on making her body even colder," I told him.

"Then what about an electric heater?" Jirou asked.

"Our opponents have control of the air conditioner," I reminded her. "They probably turned the electricity as well." I started a creation. A blanket came out of my back. "Here's a blanket for now."

The door blazed with sparks. Someone was sealing us in.

"They're welding the door shut!" I cried.

"So they're trying to keep us from escaping," said Shoji, holding Asui to keep her warm.

"The door over there is the only one left," I thoguht. "Should we force our way through?"

"Our opponents are definitely waiting for us there."

"They keep being one step ahead of us."

"What should we do?" Jirou asked me.

"If we holed up here, we'd have to do something about the temperature," said Shoji. "Or else we'll be done in by the cold."

"Yaomomo, what if you made a bomb and blew up the door to the emergency exit: Jirou asked.

"That might cause a phreatic explosion," I replied. "They probably knew we'd think of it. That's why they sealed off the observation room and lowered the temperature."

" No way!" Jirou cried.

Think, Momo. You have to. Figure out a solution.
