Not wanting to give Kraven any time to adjust his aim, and attack Bigman again, Izuku ran at him at max speed, zooming over to him so fast that Black Cat and Bigman literally couldn't see him, and even Kraven could only see him as a green blur traveling towards him.

Izuku stopped a few feet behind Kraven, and quickly turned around, shooting webs at his feet.

While Kraven wouldn't have had time to react to this, he had predicted what Izuku would do as soon as he got on the roof, and so he was able to roll out of the way.

Izuku ran forward to kick Kraven while he was rolling, but Kraven laid down on the ground, letting Izuku's foot go over him, before grabbing Izuku's leg and throwing Izuku off the roof.

In response, Izuku flipped around, shot two web lines to the top of the building, and pulled himself towards the side of the building, landing and sticking to it.

Izuku then jumped up, rocketing back towards the top of the roof, and he felt his Spider-Sense go off.

As Izuku flew up past the rooftop, Kraven was there standing on the edge and attempted to impale Izuku while he was rising.

Thanks to his Spider-Sense, Izuku anticipated this and grabbed the spear while Kraven was thrusting it, yanking it out of his hands, and bringing it up with him.

Izuku then, while in the air, threw the spear away, tossing it as far away as possible.

With that gone, Izuku fell back down onto the rooftop and turned to look and Kraven, who was smiling at him.

"Your senses are sharp. Too sharp. Tell me, how did you predict my attack?" Kraven asked as he took out two knives.

"Well while I was down there, I took out my crystal ball real quick," Izuku answered sarcastically. People are getting way too close to figuring out I have a spider sense.

Kraven charged at him with his knives and tried to slash at him but Izuku caught his hand, stopping his blade, only for Kraven to thrust his other knife at him, but Izuku shot a web at that knife, taking it out of Kraven's hand, and sticking it to the ground.

Izuku then threw Kraven off the roof, before quickly following by running off the roof and onto the side of the building.

Kraven stuck his knife into the side of the building, slowing, and then stopping his fall. He's adapting far faster than I expected. It seems I'll have to retreat, for now, I can't beat him in this position.

As Izuku was running down the side of the building towards Kraven, suddenly the villain was engulfed in light and disappeared.

Darn it. How does he keep doing that!? Izuku wondered. He must have some kind of accomplice with a warping quirk. That actually makes things much harder. I'll have to report this to Nezu. Speaking of things I have to report to Nezu…time gets back to the cat.

Izuku landed back on the rooftop, to see Black Cat and Bigman right where he'd left them.

"That was fast." Black Cat remarked.

"He got away," Izuku told her. "He pulled his little teleportation trick again."

"That's annoying." Black Cat sighed. "Well, let's get tuby over here some protection before he gets killed."

"Yes! Please do that!" Bigman begged desperately.

Izuku sighed. "Fine. I'm calling Nezu now."

XXXXXXXXXX

Nezu was ecstatic about the news. Getting someone like Bigman to provide testimony, and evidence would be the last thing they needed to finally finish building their case against Kingpin.

Bigman was put under very heavy protection, and Nezu handpicked the people guarding him, and the people who knew his location. Making sure none of the Kingpin's men on the inside could touch him, and even if they could, they'd get found out before they could even try an assassination attempt.

Already they had interrogated the man extensively. Learning about locations, associates, and other things that would help prove Kingpin's misdeeds, and the police were sent all over the place to investigate

And now that all of that was taken care of, it was time for Izuku and Black Cat to have a little talk.

"You tricked me." Izuku snarled at her, the two once again meeting on a rooftop at night. "You tricked me into putting a man's life in danger!"

"Oh please." Black Cat rolled her eyes while shaking her head. "Look Spidy, as fun as this whole Kingpin takedown is, the longer it goes on, the more likely Kingpin is to eventually figure out a way to either learn our identities or straight up kill us. So the faster we take him down, the better. Now we, thanks to me, we finally have our smoking gun."

"I get WHY you did it, but I don't care!" Izuku shouted at her, getting closer to her than Izuku would normally feel comfortable with, his anger allowing him to ignore his usual feelings of embarrassment. "I could have gotten someone killed!"

"Unlikely, given that precognition of yours." She retorted. "And think about it this way. You say that I endangered a man's life, but how many people do you think I just saved?"

"What?" Izuku asked, confused as to what she was getting at.

"Let me rephrase that. How many people do you think Kingpin kills in a weak?" Black Cat asked him. "Answer, a lot. Next question how many low-life criminals who kill a baby for 100 yen, are the police arresting right now because of the Bigman's info? The Answer. A lot. So, how many people did I just save, with this little gambit? Which may I remind you, was me putting the life of a man who has committed numerous murders and acts of sexual assault, in danger, so that way we could break a crime empire to pieces. The answer. A lot. So in reality, you could say I tricked you into putting a man's life in danger, and you could also say I helped you save thousands of lives by speeding up the process. So, you're welcome."

"I…you…mmm," Izuku growled. He hated how much a point she had. The longer it took them to stop Kingpin, the more people would suffer. That was a definite. Now, fewer people were going to die, more villains were being arrested, and the Bigman had ended up mostly unharmed.

"I'll be honest with you Spidy I'm not against killing shitheads." She admitted, her expression turning into something less mocking and condescending and more… genuine. Looking him in the eyes, with an indifferent frown on her face. "But I'm not fond of it either. I don't like the idea of me being a murderer. So believe me when I say, I did this because I thought it was necessary."

Once again, she had a point. But despite that, Izuku still definitely didn't like this. He didn't like putting someone's life in danger, and he definitely didn't like being tricked like that.

"The only reason I'm not going to take you to the police is because I might still need you if Kingpin somehow worms his way out of this," Izuku warned her. "And if you, ever. Ever. Do anything like this again, I'm gonna wrap you head to toe in a cocoon that's more durable than steel, and leave you tied up in front of a hero agency. Understand me?"

"Oh? Is that the only reason? I thought it was because I knew about your identity. Or even because I know about that hidden precognition quirk you have." Black Cat smirked at him. "Wouldn't want to go talking to the police about either of those, would you?"

Izuku paused. Damn it!

"Speaking of you're little precog. How does that work?" She asked curiously. "It doesn't let you just see the future directly, otherwise you would have known about my little trick here. So I'm guessing it's an in-the-moment kind of thing. Do you see a few seconds into the future? Actually, no if you did that you might freeze up for a second."

"I can't see the future." Izuku sighed. "My Spider-Sense warns me when people are going to be attacked, and how they're going to be attacked. That's it. It's pretty minor when it comes to precog quirks, but it's very useful. And it's something, I can NOT allow to get out."

"Oh trust me I understand that." She told him. "It must hilarious whenever the heroes try to sneak attack you or set up a trap. Not knowing that that's completely ineffective. I'd hide that just for the amusement value. But also, Spider-Sense? Nice branding."

"Look, we said everything we're going to say. You better keep quiet about my identity and my Spider-Sense, otherwise, I WILL find you, and you're going right to prison." Izuku warned her.

"As if I would throw away my shield." Black Cat told him, as she turned to leave. "Don't worry Spider. Your secrets are safe with me."

With that, she jumped off the roof, disappearing into the night.

"Ugh." Izuku pinched his temples. "I hate that woman.

SLAM!

"How! How could you have failed!" Kingpin smashed his desk in anger, his fist breaking it in two causing Electro, who had been standing in front of him, to flinch. Although Kraven was unphased.

The three of them were standing in Kingpin's office, and the man himself was NOT happy. He had an expression of pure rage on his face.

"I understand having a difficult time killing Spider-Man, but Ijo Saizu should have been child's play!" Kingpin roared. "Now that bastard is going to spill his guts out to the authorities! And there's nothing I can do to stop him!"

"But boss, don't you have people on the inside?" Electro asked fearfully. "Can they do anything? Or at least tell you where he is so you can send someone else to kill him?"

"I already tried that. But either Spider-Man or Black Cat, or both of them, must be working with someone powerful because none of my men have any clues on where Saizu is being hidden." Kingpin explained angrily. "And even if I could get to him, it's already too late. I'm going to have to flee the country until I can find a way to get this to die down. Damn it, how could you two be so useless, that you couldn't kill Saizu!?"

"I tried boss I really did! I shot a bolt of lightning right at him when Spider-Man's back was turned, but he knew I was there somehow and got them all out of the way!" Electro explained.

"I believe Spider-Man has some kind of, precognitive ability," Kraven explained. "Spider-Man is talented, but not experienced, nor extremely skilled. And yet, he can predict my attacks like someone who had experienced a thousand battles. And when I tried to take out Saizu with my sniper rifle from many buildings away, he knew when, and where I was going to shoot."

"Are you telling me, that Spider-Man can see the future?" Kingpin asked him.

"To some extent," Kraven answered. "Things can still take him by surprise, and his ability to predict attacks does still seem to need him to be able to react to those attacks. If had to take a guess as to how it worked. I would say that anytime someone attempts to attack him or someone he is protecting, the moment they begin their attack, Spider-Man will become aware of it. As soon as Electro started to power up his attack, Spider-Man became aware of it and moved his allies out of the way. The moment I started to pull the trigger, he became aware of the bullet soon to be hitting Saizu, and moved him out of the way."

"So in other words, sneak attacks and traps are completely ineffective." Kingpin growled. That certainly removed a LOT of his options in how he could deal with this threat.

"Not, all traps." Kraven corrected. "Only traps that have a directly harmful effect. I believe I know a way to trap him, and finally, seal his fate."

"Well, my options are limited." Kingpin sighed. "So tell me. What do you have in mind?"

XXXXXXXXXXXXX

Izuku was eating alone today, on the U.A. rooftop.

He felt like he needed to be away from the loudness of the cafeteria today. He had something to think about.

Mainly, for all his outrage about Black Cat using him to put Bigman's life in danger, what would he have done if she had been honest with him, and told him the plan?

If he went against it, Kingpin and those villains the police were arrested, would have more time to hurt and kill people.

But he'd have to put someone's life in danger. The only way to get Bigman to cooperate like this was to make it so his life literally depended on it.

And just couldn't get behind that. Well…it's not that he couldn't. It's just that he really, really didn't want to.

Killing. It was something Izuku didn't like to pay much mind to. Something he willfully ignored.

Ultimately, if he absolutely had to in order to save an innocent person, he would kill a villain. As much as the thought disgusted him. It just felt wrong.

"Was I wrong to yell at her like that? Was I wrong to not take her to prison? If I did that she'd reveal who I was but…she also said she'd be willing to kill people." Izuku sighed.

And then the door to the roof opened, and out came Tsu.

"So this is where you were." She said, closing the door behind her, as she walked over to him.

"A-Asui?" Izuku stuttered, a bit confused as to what she was doing here.

"I told you to call me Tsu." She reminded him, before taking a seat next to him. "We noticed you didn't come to the cafeteria so we were worried you were getting beat up again."

"O-Oh." Izuku's face turned red. Both slightly touched at the idea of them being that concerned for him, and because he was embarrassed that that was their first assumption. However, his eyes soon widened, as he came to a realization. "Wait!? Are Iida and Uraraka out there looking for me right now!? Y-You guys should all be eating lunch!"

"We'll be fine, I text them that I found you so they can go back," Tsu said, taking out her phone, and quickly sending a message to the other two. "You, on the other hand, are not looking fine. What's wrong?"

"N-Nothing. I'm fine." Izuku said, turning his head away from her.

"Midoriya, you have to know you're bad at lying," Tsu told him.

Izuku sighed. "I admit, I'm really not good a keeping secrets."

It was a miracle that the heroes hadn't found out he was Spider-Man yet.

"It's…it's complicated." Izuku sighed. "I'd rather not talk about it."

"Ok then. But just so you know, I'm not leaving until either lunch is over or you talk. And I haven't eaten anything yet." Tsu said.

"Huh!? W-wa-wait! You can't do that!" Izuku exclaimed. "You need to eat! Don't you have heroics after this?"

"And don't you have something you need to get off your chest?" Tsu countered. "Midoriya, you're a kind person, sometimes too kind. I know you don't want to trouble me with your problems, but making me, and Ochaco, and Iida, worry about you isn't better. And before you ask, the solution isn't for us to stop caring. I know you're not used to having friends, but friends don't let friends bottle things up. So either you're going to tell me what's wrong, or I'm going to have to do physically exhaustive training while hungry. Your choice."

It really wasn't. As if Izuku was ever gonna let Tsu go hungry because of him.

But still, not wanting to trouble her was only half the reason he didn't wanna talk about this. The other reason was, how was he going to talk about this, without revealing his identity?

But still, he didn't have a choice, so after a minute or two of thought, Izuku spoke. "Alright. So…I love heroes. Like, a lot. When I was younger, I wanted to be just like All Might. But then…I was diagnosed as quirkless."

"And you gave up trying to be a hero?" Tsu asked.

"I…not at first," Izuku admitted. "But…people didn't take the idea of a quirkless hero seriously. Not even my mom supported it. And eventually I just…had to give it up."

"I think you could have done it. Become a hero that is." Tsu said, causing Izuku to turn his head to look at her with wide eyes, full of shock and confusion. "I don't think you could have become number 1, or get anywhere close to the top 10, or get into U.A., but I think it's possible for someone to be a hero even if they're quirkless. Although they could probably help people in more effective ways."

Well, that was…something. Never before had someone said that he could be a hero while he was quirkless, and even though he was no longer quirkless, and even though she did say that quite a bit of his dream was unobtainable, it was still more validation than Izuku had ever received before, and her honesty made it feel completely genuine?

"Thank you. Really, thank you." Izuku gave her a small, but a real smile. "That means a lot to me."

"That I said you could be a hero, or that I didn't give you a bunch of empty platitudes?" Tsu asked.

"Both. I really do appreciate you're honesty A-Tsu." Izuku corrected himself. "But um…back to what I was saying. Heroes mean a lot to me. But…I read a news article, about a situation that happened a while ago. About the H.P.S.C., tricking some heroes into an operation where they used a villain as an unknowing decoy, and put his life in danger so they could more swiftly catch a group of villains, that were likely going to hurt more people very soon if they hadn't been stopped as quickly as they did. But I've been wondering, did the H.P.S.C. have the right to put that man's life in danger? I know he was a villain but still…and did they have the right to keep the heroes in the dark about it? And if they didn't what would the heroes have done? What should they have done? Is it right to put a villain's life in danger like that if it'll probably save more lives? Or should we try and find a better way? A-And then I wonder…what would I have done in that situation? I know that I should probably focus more on saving the innocents who are going to get hurt if they don't get caught as quickly as possible…but putting someone's life in danger like that…it just feels wrong."

There was a long pause after Izuku finished talking. The two sat in silence, the only noise between them being the wind blowing through the air.

"I'm not sure how to answer that." Tsu eventually admitted after several minutes of thinking. "I don't really trust the H.P.S.C.'s judgment anymore. Not after what happened at the U.S.J. I definitely don't agree with them keeping the heroes in the dark…but. If the only way to stop innocent people from being hurt, is to risk killing or kill a villain…then I think that's what should be done."

"R-Really?" Izuku was a little surprised to hear that from her. Not because it didn't make sense but because she was so…kind.

"I don't blame you for feeling like that's wrong. I feel like that too." Tsu continued. "I think you're supposed to feel like that. I think taking a life, or risking taking a life, SHOULD feel wrong. The only time anyone should even think about that, is if they absolutely have to. If someone else, or themselves is in danger, and they have no other options."

"You think heroes should take lives if THEY are in danger?" Izuku asked her, feeling a bit more unsure about that.

"Yes," Tsu answered. "If you have to choose between a person who's going to save lives and a person who is going to take them, then I think the former is an obvious choice. Which is also why I think heroes should be VERY well trained before they have to try and fight actual villains. Which is another reason why I have a problem with the H.P.S.C. throwing us into an ambush. And vigilantes like Spider-Man."

Izuku couldn't help but flinch.

"A life should only be taken when you've run out of options, and when you don't have the training, you have fewer options," Tsu explained. "Meaning vigilantes are more likely to take a life than a trained hero would. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Spider-Man is a bad person by any means…he almost sacrificed himself back at the U.S.J. for us, I just don't understand why he wouldn't go to U.A. and get training first."

"Yeah…that would have been better." Izuku lamented, feeling a stab of guilt, sadness, and remorse, dig into him.

"Although, there is an argument that things are better with Spider-Man being a vigilante," Tsu added, causing Izuku to look at her once again with wide, shocked eyes. "It's undeniable that there are people who would be dead right now if Spider-Man had stayed training in the hero course instead of being out on the streets patrolling."

"That's…true," Izuku responded hesitantly. It did help soften the blow a bit, of having to be a vigilante, knowing that he was saving people. What he did mattered. He was helping. He was being a hero, to some people.

"But I just dread what could happen, if Spider-Man faces a villain he has no choice but to kill, that he wouldn't have if he had training." Tsu continued. "But then again, you could make the argument that Spider-Man would save way more people than there are villains he would ever have to even consider killing. And I did just say you should focus on saving the innocents even if it means killing a villain so…I guess I'm being pretty hypocritical. Maybe it really is better that he's out there instead of in here."

"I don't think you're wrong," Izuku told her, looking down at his feet. "I get concerned about Spider-Man too. I really wish he could have come to U.A. and gotten actual training instead of learning as he goes. I-I…I keep worrying that one day, he's going to mess up. He'll accidentally hurt a civilian, or cause a lot of property damage or…or that one day he might lose control of his strength, and kill someone by accident."

"I don't think you should worry about that," Tsu reassured him, causing Izuku to look back at her. "Spider-Man may not be trained, but he's skilled and talented too, and very, very careful. I may think he shouldn't have become a vigilante, and that he should get real training…but credit where credit's due, he's amazing a hero work. Not a single death because of him, even when dealing hostages, he's taken down A-rank villains with no collateral damage, he has the power to destroy a building with a single punch, but he fights, the villains never have more than a few broken bones at worst. He's always paying attention even when it looks like he's not, and he can even fight villains stronger and faster than him, without letting anyone get hurt, even if they're right next to him. Honestly, even though I don't really like vigilantes, and don't like the message this might send to people, I hope one day he can become an official hero somehow because he's amazing at what he does."

Meanwhile, Izuku was looking down at his knees, trying not to reveal the massive blush he had on his face. Amazing!? She called me amazing!? I-I-I-iI-I-I uh gh I…Tsu isn't the kind of person to lie. And even if she was why would she lie here!? She really thinks I'm amazing.

Next to him, Asui was thinking about something else. I need to be as a good as a hero as him. If not better. I have to get on his level if I want to be the next symbol of peace.

She looked over to Izuku. I guess I should start by saving the people in front of me.

"Midoriya," Tsu said, getting his attention. "Me and some other members of my class are going to go help clean up Dagobah Beach on the weekend, and then we're going to go out to eat afterward. You should come. It'll be hard work but I think you'd like it, and you can get to know some of my classmates better. They're good people…most of them anyway."

Dagobah. I'll have to tell Nikku to make her hideout seem abandoned so no one finds out about it. Izuku thought, before giving his answer. "Of course! I'd love to help out! But um…is it ok if I keep the scrap metal? I want to use it to practice making support items. I can only practice so much at U.A. and metal can get expensive."

"I don't see why not." Tsu shrugged. "Not like anyone else was using it."

If only you knew. Izuku thought.

RING RING! RING RING!

Suddenly, Izuku's phone went off, and quickly Izuku took it out of his pocket and looked at the caller I.D., Nezu.

"Um…sorry I have to take this," Izuku said, as he quickly got up, walked a few feet away from Tsu, and answered it. "Hello?"

"Midoriya where are you?" Nezu asked, his tone rather urgent.

"I'm on the roof eating lunch with Asui," Izuku answered, getting a bit worried at Nezu's tone. "Why, is something wrong?"

"Yes, and no. I need you in my office immediately." Nezu told him. "Get here as fast as you can, without giving yourself way of course."

"Right, I'll be there soon," Izuku said, before hanging up, and quickly pocketing his phone.

Izuku quickly turned to Tsu. "I'm sorry but I need to go! Principal Nezu needs me for something."

"It's fine, you definitely don't want to keep him waiting," Tsu told him.

"Right, thanks for letting me get that off my chest A-Tsu." Izuku said as he ran for the door. "You really helped me out."

"Anytime Midoriya," Tsu said, as she watched him leave.

Alright, we are moving into the end of the Kingpin/Kraven arc.

As you can see, the second fight with Kraven went much better for Izuku than the first one did. But now that Kraven knows he can't go head to head with him anymore, how will he react? Well, he's a hunter, and while a man can't fight a Lion, he can certainly kill one.

Anyway, please review, and have a nice day.
