Thank you everyone who showed so much love for this fic! I think you will be happy with a couple of developments in this chapter. Thank you for riding with me. We have one more chapter after this one to go…

Disclaimer: I don't own the characters, just the plot.

Three days drifted by, and Damon spent most of his time trying to get in touch with his mother. She hadn't returned any of his calls or texts and when he stopped at the house, she wasn't home. Stefan claimed he had no idea where she was, but Damon had his doubts. He knew exactly why his mother decided to distance herself from him. She was disappointed and disgusted by his actions and he had no other option but to wait it out—and wait it out he did, until he received a text from his mother on the third day to meet her at her house for lunch.

So when he parked his car in the driveway on that third day, he noticed his mother standing on the steps in front of the house staring back at him and his stomach did indeed flip.

He parked his car, said a prayer and walked towards her, "Good Afternoon Mother," he met her on the stairs and kissed her softly on the cheek, "I called you a couple of times."

She looked into his eyes, "I noticed, come in…we can eat lunch."

Damon followed her towards the patio feeling like a man going to the gallows. She had sandwiches set up in the middle of the table, along with lemonade, "Take a seat," she replied.

Damon sat searching his mother's face for any indication of her current feelings for him and he began to speak, "I want to apologize again for what happened with Ms. Reynolds…"

Lily snorted, "Really Damon? You are going to continue to call her Ms. Reynolds?" she raised an eyebrow.

Damon gritted his teeth, "Either way I'm sorry."

Lily nodded as she removed a document from under her plate and handed it to him. Damon examined it, "This is a bill for a manicure…a very expensive manicure," his eyes went wide.

Lily glanced at her hands, her nails were perfectly polished and not one of them looked broken, "Yes, you owe me a manicure and Sally was very happy to bill you for the work she had to do to repair my nails after I visited Sabine in New York."

Damon's eyes raised to make eye contact with his mother, "What happened?"

"Sabine and I had a discussion and then we stopped talking with our mouths and we may have started speaking with our hands."

Damon sighed rubbing his eyes with the heels of hands, "I didn't want this to happen. I was an adult when I began seeing Sabine. I have some responsibility here."

Lily focused on Damon across the table, "You are my son. She was my best friend. She knew you since you were a small boy and it repulses me to even think about what she could have thought over the years before you two…"Lily's lips curled in disgust, "she manipulated you and she was almost the reason that I lost you. I could not and I would not just sweep it under the Persian rug, Damon. So she understands that she is never to contact you again."

"Soo…I have to settle your manicure bill as punishment?" Damon raised an eyebrow.

"Well…if you were Sabine's son, you would have to pay a bill for plastic surgery to heal an unfortunate deep scratch to her cheek."

Damon's eyes widened, "Mother! She could call the police or she could sue you."

"She won't do any of that. Sabine cares more about her reputation than anything else. If she wants this to stay between us, she will keep her mouth shut…but then again, she really has no other option anyway," Lily shrugged.

"Ok, I will pay the manicure bill," Damon stated quietly.

"Thank you, son," Lily smiled, "and one more thing…" she poured lemonade into his glass, "you will come to lunch here, you and Bonnie together. I want to formally meet the woman who was so quick on her feet and who my son looked at with such love in his eyes."

Damon nodded.

"Has Stefan said anything about what happened when he went out with Bianca and Elena after the reopening?" Bonnie looked over at Damon, who stood in front of his full-size wine refrigerator selecting a bottle later that evening.

He read the labels on the Merlot and Pinot Noir in his hand, before turning to face her while she chopped the mushrooms to throw in the pan with the steaks, "What do you mean? They went to a bar not far from Revel, had a couple of shots and went home," Damon shrugged choosing the Merlot, "why do you ask?"

Bonnie pursed her lips while checking on the roasted potatoes in the oven, "I don't know, something seems off. Not so much with Stefan or Bianca, but with Elena. She's been quiet and working a lot and she hasn't stayed at Matt's in days."

"Maybe she's having a fight with Matt?" Damon suggested pouring Bonnie a glass of Merlot as she added butter to the sizzling steaks and a sprig of rosemary.

"Maybe," Bonnie sipped her wine, "but she also won't talk to me. Do you think she and Stefan hooked up or something?"

Damon blinked. Stefan had been tight lipped about the events following the reopening—just confirming that they went out drinking and that was it, "No, I'm sure that Elena would have told you."

"Not if she feels guilty, she has a boyfriend and if your brother touched my housemate on that night, I will kill him," Bonnie pointed a fork at him.

Holding up his hands in defense, Damon cracked a smile, "Hey, I am not responsible for my brother."

"You are your brother's keeper, Damon."

"Not when it comes to you murdering him," he answered.

Bonnie turned the steaks in the pan, "So how did your visit with your mother go? You told me that you would fill me in during dinner tonight."

Damon removed the plates from the cabinet and placed them on the counter next to the stove, "Well she gave me a bill for her manicure," he stated.

Bonnie looked up with wide eyes while removing his steak from the pan and placing it on his plate, "What?"

"I can only assume what happened, but from what she told me—she and Sabine had a discussion, but my mother communicated with her hands and broke a few nails."

Bonnie gasped.

"And Sabine more than likely had to see a plastic surgeon."

Bonnie blinked a few times, "Wow."

"Exactly Wow," Damon echoed while he watched Bonnie remove her steak and place it on the other dining plate, "so she told me that I have to pay her manicure bill and she wants to have lunch with us."

Bonnie continued placing potatoes and string beans on their plates, "She wants to have lunch with us?"

"She wants to get to know you officially," Damon stated with a shrug, "she knows that you're important to me and she wants to get to know you."

"Should I be afraid?" Bonnie asked.

Damon smiled, "At this point, I think she likes you more than she likes me."

"Ok, I'm free on Thursday for lunch."

"I will give her a call and we can plan to meet then," Damon smiled, "and thank you for agreeing so easily, I had an entire night planned to convince you to agree."

Bonnie cocked up her eyebrow, "Oh really? So do I get to see what you had planned?"
Damon looked across the kitchen island with hooded, stormy blue eyes and grinned, "Definitely."

The next afternoon, Damon entered the new lounge and headed straight to Stefan's office behind the bar. Flinging the door open, he stormed in and closed the door, "What did you do to Bonnie's housemate?" Damon narrowed his eyes at his younger brother who looked up from his MacBook.

Stefan raised an eyebrow leaning back in his chair, "What makes you think I did anything to Bonnie's housemate?"

Damon cracked a smile, "I have a very, very, very perceptive girlfriend and she knows that something is going on with Elena and she thinks that it has something to do with whatever happened after the reopening."

Stefan chuckled, "Nothing happened."

"You're lying," Damon countered.

Stefan shrugged.

Relenting Damon took a seat across from Stefan's mahogany desk, "Well I'm warning you that Bonnie senses something is off, and she may ask you…don't say anything stupid."

Stefan laughed, "I won't do anything to mess up your honeymoon period with Bonnie."

"You better not."

Stefan shook his head, "Did you get a chance to read the contracts I sent over this morning for the new acquisition?"

"I did. I have a meeting at 3 today to discuss the logistics with our new partner," Damon smiled, "he is very excited about this and it's only the beginning."

"Only you would think of something like this as our next move, you can never just do things on a small scale."

Damon winked.

"So can we expect our next opening to be calmer than the last one?" Stefan asked.

"Look, everything is out in the open now. There will be no more angry sons coming to avenge their mothers. This opening will go smoothly, I promise you," Damon stated with finality.

"It better."

"Besides, I have lunch with Mother and Bonnie tomorrow."

Stefan grimaced, "Have you prepped Mother?"

"You mean making sure that she doesn't mention marriage or grandchildren during the lunch? Yes. She knows, but you know my stock with her is not very high."

"You know Leslie Brant saw Sabine in New York a couple of days ago…"

Damon raised an eyebrow, "You're not still talking to your old girlfriend Leslie, are you? We may have an incident of our own if you are…"

"No, it was just light conversation…or rather gossip, she said that Sabine was sporting a rather large bandage on her cheek. The official story is that she tripped and fell, hit her cheek on her dresser but there is an unsubstantiated rumor that she slept with someone's son in the circle and she's being ostracized. She's actually leaving to spend a few days at some retreat in Arizona."

"Our mother ran her out of town," Damon blew out air.

Stefan nodded, "Our mother ran her out of town," he agreed.

"So, when do we get to meet this Damon formerly?" Grams asked during the Family video call while Bonnie searched her closet for the heels she planned to wear to lunch with Damon and his mother the following afternoon.

"When you can promise that you will be on your best behavior," Bonnie retrieved a pair of nude heels from the top shelf of her closet.

"Yes, Mother…you have to agree to be on your best behavior, Bianca says that Bonnie really likes this one," Abby chimed in.

"She does more than like him Mom and Grams, you should see the way she looks at him," Bianca spoke up.

"Not sure I want to know anything about this," Rudy groaned.

"Oh Rudolph, you really have to get over this. Your daughters are young women, and they have men that will want to…"

"Ok, Grams!" Bonnie cut in, "I think that's enough," Bonnie called towards her tablet, "and trust me, you will meet Damon soon."

"Can't wait," Grams grinned.

"And now I'm scared," Bonnie frowned.

"You should be," Bianca sung.

BDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBD

Over the past year, Bonnie became aware on some level how wealthy Damon's family was. She knew that the Salvatores owned many of the corporate office buildings in downtown Mystic Falls. She also knew that they owned some luxury apartment buildings, but seeing the house that Lily Salvatore lived in right outside of Mystic Falls caused her to have a slight intake of breath. Damon pulled into the rather large driveway and parked his car, "Are you nervous?" he asked her with a smile on his face.

"What…of course not," Bonnie answered quickly.

"Come here," he touched her cheek, "trust me, my mother likes you much more than me right now, you have no reason to be nervous—trust me," he kissed her softly on the lips.

"That's impossible, she sent another woman to a plastic surgeon over you," Bonnie met his eyes.

"Trust me Bonnie, you are a hero in her eyes," Damon replied, "so shall we go inside."

Bonnie nodded.

When they entered the large foyer of the Salvatore mansion, Lily met them and smiled warmly at Bonnie first bringing her into a hug, "Bonnie, it's so wonderful to formally meet you, please come…I have lunch set up in the dining room," Lily touched Bonnie's back leading her down the hallway.

"Hey Mother, I'm here too!" Damon waved.

"Oh Damon, hurry so you can pull out our chairs," Lily called over her shoulder as Bonnie giggled.

Thirty minutes later, Damon sat between his mother and Bonnie as they conversed about Bonnie's thought process behind the portraits at Revel, "I thought it was ingenious that they each have a background story and the portraits, they're so lifelike…almost like they were about to step off of the canvas," Lily sipped her lemonade.

"The artist specializes in realism; I have to say he did a fantastic job. I would be happy to give you his name, if you ever want to commission something," Bonnie smiled.

"Well thank you Bonnie," Lily looked over at Damon, "she really is a PR expert."

Damon reached over and slowly rubbed Bonnie's back, "I tell no lies."

Bonnie looked over at him with a warm smile as Lily drew Bonnie's attention back to her with questions of her life in Philadelphia. Damon watched the two women have light conversation and he couldn't help the smile that spread across his face.

He could count on one hand how many women he introduced to his mother post-high school and college. It wasn't that Lily wasn't friendly—it was the fact that meeting his mother meant something. Allowing his mother to meet a woman that he was dating meant that it was serious, and he hesitated to declare most of his relationships serious; however, what he built with Bonnie since that moment he walked into Cup of Life and noticed her sitting at that table alone, he knew she was special. The cheeky smile she gave him when she suggested that disgusting coffee drink to him—he should have known that he would be a goner for the foreseeable future.

"Damon are you listening…" Lily cut into his thoughts causing him to look over at Bonnie and Lily staring back at him.

"Of course I am, I'm just caught up in the beauty of my two favorite women getting along so well," he gave them a broad smile as Lily rolled her eyes.

"My son is quite a charmer," Lily leaned closer to Bonnie.

Bonnie turned to him and raised an eyebrow, "Oh I know," she answered.

That Friday evening, Bonnie opened the door to the new lounge stepping inside and looked around at the party producers setting up. Surprisingly, the guest list for the grand opening was slightly smaller than the reopening of Revel. There would be multiple soft openings over the next couple of days, so they wanted to keep this guest smaller and more intimate despite the larger capacity that this lounge could hold. Elena had to work a double at the hospital and Bianca had charity events to attend to in Detroit, so they would sit this one out.

"Wow, you look amazing," Stefan walked up beside her as they stood on the dance floor.

Bonnie did a little twirl in the strapless black A-line mini dress she wore, "Why thank you. Funny, I haven't seen you all week, where have you been hiding?" she bumped him with her shoulder.

"Well I had to make sure that everything is running smoothly at Revel and now that we have the new place…"

"Hmm…" Bonnie raised an eyebrow, "for a moment, I thought you were avoiding me."

"Avoiding you?" Stefan wrinkled his brows he looked down at her, "why would I do that?"

"Elena acting really weird and I was just curious if something happened after the reopening of Revel, that's all."

Stefan looked at the DJ setting up on the corner and shook his head slowly, "Nooo, just shots of tequila and dancing at the place down the street from Revel."

Bonnie raised an eyebrow, "I see."

Stefan laughed looking down at his brother's petite girlfriend and suddenly realized why Damon always seemed to be a little afraid of her, "What do you think happened? Do you think me and Elena hooked up after the reopening or something?"

"Or something," Bonnie drawled out slowly with suspicious eyes trained on Stefan, "but you're consenting adults, so whatever happened is your business—just as long as my sister wasn't involved," she narrowed her eyes at him before walking over to Jane and Raj on the deck.

Stefan stared over at Bonnie shaking his head before heading over to the bar with Anna to get a shot.

"When Damon announces the name of the lounge, we need to make sure that the curtain above the bar comes down to reveal the name," Bonnie looked down at her tablet, "that will happen at 8:35."

"Got it," Raj answered looking down at his own tablet, "I will have Veronica standing by."

"Good."

"Are we expecting any more…performances tonight?" Jane asked apprehensively looking around.

"Absolutely not," Damon entered the deck causing Jane to jump slightly.

Bonnie smiled, "No, we should have a normal opening tonight. There will be no more punches thrown and if security sees anything that appears to be weird, they will make sure to stop it this time before it causes a spectacle."

Jane nodded along with Raj.

"So Jane, can you go check with the caterer and make sure they understand the timing of the food," Bonnie turned to the short blond woman who nodded and turned to head inside, "Raj, please go over the night with the DJ, so he knows the music to play and when to lower it so the guests can hear each other."

Raj nodded and turned to head inside.

"So I can already feel like this night will be easier," Damon replied coming closer to Bonnie.

"Grand Openings are easier than reopenings because people are already excited to see what the new place is like, so the anticipation is there. With reopenings you have to go a little further to wow people because they already expect certain aspects of the place to be the same."

"Well, I think you and your team delivered on both of these occasions," Damon looked around at the various bartenders setting up around the deck, the purple and silver balloons adorning the inside of the lounge along with purple, white and silver drapery around the walls. The servers dressed all in white were receiving their instructions from Jane.

"Well this was a labor of love in many ways," she looked over at him.

"That it was," he turned to her, "and I know that you told me that we have to keep our hands off of each other during these events, but you have no idea how much I want to kiss you right now."

Bonnie licked her lips, "I think I have an idea."

"This place is lit!" a familiar voice called from the entrance to the deck causing Bonnie to move her eyes from Damon to the person standing in the doorway.

"Barry? What are you doing here so early!" she gasped looking at her favorite Barista standing in the doorway dressed head to toe in a black perfectly tailored suit looking like he just walked over off a runway.

"Well Bonnie, I was very grateful to receive an invitation to this event…but I received another awhile ago," Barry looked over at Damon.

Bonnie's gaze went from Barry to Damon, who looked over at Barry with a smile, "I guess we should tell her," Damon grinned looking over at Barry.

"I think we should since she's a major part of the new development," Barry agreed.

Bonnie raised an eyebrow at the two men standing in front of her wearing wide smiles, "What's going on?"

"Well Bonnie, the Salvatore brothers decided that since we've conquered nightlife in Mystic Falls, we thought we should expand our portfolio a little…" Damon began.

"Oook," Bonnie looked between the two.

"So I got with Barry here and we decided that it was time to…should I say expand Cup of Life around the city," Damon replied.

"What?" Bonnie asked looking over at Barry.

Barry began to explain, "The owner was thinking about selling it a couple of months ago and I was thinking about making an offer with a few of my friends, but Damon approached me some time ago and asked me if I would consider becoming a partner with he and Stefan…so of course, I agreed and then a couple of weeks ago, Damon came back and asked me what I would think about opening up another Cup of Life not far from here and I was sold."

"You're getting into the coffee business?" Bonnie asked, "and Barry you're going to be an owner?" she grinned.

"Yes I am, I don't know if I will be able to totally walk away from making drinks but I am definitely going to run things!" Barry beamed.

"I'm so happy for you!" Bonnie reached out and hugged Barry tightly.

"Now where's your brother, I need to give him the signed contracts," Barry removed a folder from the bag he had slung over his shoulder.

"In his office, Anna can show you," Damon gestured to the bar.

Barry nodded before winking and heading inside.

Bonnie looked at Damon with a grin on her face, "How did you keep this from me?" she playfully hit his chest.

"Emails, text messages and meetings while you're at work," he held her hand.

"You bought the coffee shop where we met," she looked up at him in awe.

"Walking into that coffee shop changed my life, do you think I would let someone sell it and turn it into something else?" Damon looked down at her, "and Barry, well…he stopped at nothing to get us together, how could I not let him be part of it?"

Bonnie felt her eyes water—walking into that coffee shop changed her life too and the fact that Damon was willing to preserve that part of them, their story, made her fall in love with him deeper than she thought possible.

She loved his smile, his intelligence, the way he could make her laugh, how he could take any situation and turn it around—she loved him. He made her legs weak. She couldn't imagine not having him in her life, "Forget the rules," she said quietly looking up into his eyes, "kiss me."

Damon didn't need to hear it twice as he placed his hands on her cheeks and kissed her softly on the lips.

BDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBD

From the moment the doors opened, the guests were in awe of the new Salvatore lounge on the pier overlooking the water and the city lights. Bonnie surveyed the crowd from her place on the upper level and noticed that people were exploring the deck, the dance floor and taking pictures. She smiled. She had pulled it off with her team. The chance she'd waited for since her career began at Jay & Jones had come and she had a meeting with the partners on Monday to discuss the next steps in her career at the firm.

Everything she worked hard for was coming together and it overwhelmed her at times. Her life had changed so much in a little over a year that she really had to pinch herself sometimes to believe it was all real.

"Taking it all in?" Barry joined her on the upper level holding a glass of brown liquor.

"I am," Bonnie smiled, "and congratulations again."

He beamed, "Thank you, I was surprised when Damon approached me about becoming a partner with him and Stefan. I guess you suggesting that terrible coffee drink changed both of our lives."

Bonnie wrapped her arm around Barry's waist pulling him closer to her watching as Jane walked over to Stefan and Damon giving them the signal that it was time for the announcement. She watched with Barry as Jane handed Damon the microphone as the music lowered, "Hello!" Damon called out as the crowd lowered their voices, "first, I want to thank you all for coming out tonight. My brother and I are grateful that you decided to come and be a part of a very special night for us. We opened Revel about 4 years ago and it was meant to be a bonding experience for us…a way to reconnect after years of living in separate cities. Tonight, we open our second lounge…much older…much wiser…and much closer as brothers. I know that everyone's had the same question, what exactly is the name of this lounge you are standing in right now?" Damon looked around and then his eyes landed on Bonnie for a few moments as she smiled at him warmly, "well…without further ado, I want to welcome you to Adore!"

The curtain dropped over the bar revealing the name Adore in large script font as purple, silver and white balloons descended from the ceiling as the crowd clapped and oohed and aahed and the DJ queued up Adore by Prince as the guests began to dance on the floor. Barry took Bonnie's hand as they danced on the upper level while Damon and Stefan patted each other on the backs with wide smiles on their faces.

As the song continued, Damon caught sight of Bonnie dancing slowly with Barry laughing hysterically and his thoughts drifted back…

"Hello…umm…not sure what I want here?" he stated in a confused tone looking up at the expansive menu overhead while the male barista stared back at him with wide eyes, "I don't usually drink the fancy stuff, umm…hmm…"

He took a quick look around the coffee shop. He didn't trust the barista just that moment to suggest anything, so he surveyed the customers and his eyes landed on a petite brown skinned woman sitting by the window looking down at a tablet, "Hey," he lifted his chin toward her, "do you have any suggestions?"

She focused on him and then looked down at Sandy next to him. The woman was gorgeous, and she looked as if she was in deep thought following his question and then her perfect little mouth turned into a slight smirk as the barista also looked over at her waiting for an answer. Cocking her head to the side, she spoke, "Ristretto."

Damon should have known when the mahogany skinned barista raised an eyebrow that he was being set up, but the gorgeous woman wouldn't steer him wrong—she didn't even know him.

Turning back to the barista, he smiled, "A Ristretto, sounds good…one Ristretto for me and a bowl of water for Sandy," he stated bending down and rubbing the dog's head.

He heard the woman chuckle as she went back to a magazine, and he should have known from that moment that something wasn't right. When he turned back to the counter, he peered down at a cup with literally a splash of coffee inside of it. "Wait…is that the entire drink?" he asked incredulously.

"Yup…that's a Ristretto," the barista stated amused.

"That," Damon stated in a measured voice, "is a splash of coffee."

The barista grinned showing all of his pearly white teeth, "Yes, it's a short shot of espresso."

The tawny skinned minx giggled behind her magazine.

Damon smirked raising an eyebrow, "Oh really? Can I just get a cup of coffee, black…full…to the top?"

"Sure can…it's on the house!" the barista stated.

"Great," Damon deadpanned as he picked up the bowl of water. He turned to see the woman with her face buried in her magazine and he took four long strides over to her, "really funny," he commented.

She glanced over her magazine, "I have no idea what you are talking about?" she said innocently batting her catlike green eyes at him.

"You have no idea about the splash of coffee you just had me order for $4.50?" he stared down at her. His mouth was set in a straight line, but he was amused. She glanced down at Sandy lapping up her water happily.

"Well Sandy's happy," she shrugged.

He narrowed his eyes at her, "Smart ass," he mumbled, but he was oddly turned on.

"But you haven't seen my ass," she fluttered her eyelashes at him.

He blinked. He hadn't expected that and he was definitely turned on at that moment, if he didn't get out of her presence—she would be able to tell, "Oh really?" he found himself answering.

She smiled.

"Large Black Coffee filled to the top!" the barista announced.

Not taking his eyes off of the woman who had caught his attention so quickly, he spoke, "Well I guess that's me."

"Yup…regular black coffee," she answered teasingly.

Yeah, he had to get away from her, "Well…I guess it's time for me and Sandy to take that run."

She shrugged with a smile as he turned on his heels, dropped a few ones in the tip jar and called Sandy over. "Next time, I will get a better drink and when I ask for a suggestion…I hope you do a little better," he called over his shoulder as the door closed with a final bang and the bells jingled.

From that moment, Damon knew that Bonnie Bennett could lead him anywhere and he would follow…and back then, he didn't even know her name. When she caught his gaze from the upper level with Barry, she gave him a smile that made his heart flutter…yup, he would follow her anywhere.

BDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBDBD

After the party ended and the guests were long gone, Damon and Bonnie sat on the deck with her curled up in his arms listening to the sounds of the water below the deck, "Another Bonnie Bennett success," Damon laced his fingers through hers.

"Another Salvatore Brothers success you mean," she corrected him.

Damon kissed the top of her head before moving her from his embrace causing her to sit up, "You know last week, when I gave you that necklace and after everything that happened with Tanner, your sister declared that I needed to make sure you had all of the good things in life, starting with jewelry," he reached inside his jacket pocket and for a moment—Bonnie was sure she stopped breathing and Damon quickly touched her arm to calm her down, "whoa…whoa…it's not that, we're not doing that right now…" he held up his hand as he took out a small teal box.

Bonnie laughed and took a deep breath as Damon opened the box to reveal matching 18k rose gold with pave diamonds link earrings to match the necklace he had gifted her the previous week.

"Damon…you didn't have to," she looked up at him.

He smiled looking into her eyes, "I just want you to promise me one thing…"

"What?" Bonnie asked quietly gazing down at the earrings.

"In the near future after you have agreed to marry me…" he pulled her closer to him and she breathed deeply, "and you're walking down the aisle towards me, you will wear these earrings."

Bonnie looked into Damon's eyes which were filled with sincerity that made her breathless, "I will," she whispered as she crashed her lips into his.

Well Lily had a little conversation with Sabine that went a little left, but Sabine more than likely got the message. No matter how old Damon was when the relationship started, Damon is her son and Sabine was in his life since he was a child—Lily was definitely disgusted and let it be known. Then the fact that Sabine led Damon to her apartment and he almost died…Lily wasn't about to let any of it go.

Stefan, Bianca and Elena…that will remain a secret between the three for awhile (and maybe forever). But it would be interesting to know exactly what happened that night…maybe one day. LOL!

Barry, Damon and Stefan going into business—much deserved. Without Barry, Bonnie and Damon probably would have circled around each other forever. Also, there was no way Damon would allow his and Bonnie's coffee shop to be sold.

Lastly, Bamon…the last scene is one of my favorites for them. They love each other and in case, you haven't guessed it…Damon is definitely the groom. So the next chapter we move back to the present and will always get a glimpse into the future.
