Two Years Later…
Years have passed since Albert Wesker's demise in Kijuju. His attempt unleash Uroboros all over the world was thwarted. Excella Gionne; the regional director for TRICELL was partners with Wesker. However he eventually betrayed her injecting Excella with the virus that caused her to mutate. This would lead her to her demise as well. That would've been the case if Excella herself had been there.
The person that was with Albert Wesker following the events of his betrayal was not Excella but her doppelganger. While her clone was in Africa, Excella was in a cryogenic pod. She remained inside for a while until she was awakened by her new partner, Dr. Alexander Roland Isaacs.
Dr. Isaacs was a scientist for the Umbrella Corporation. Who had remained loyal to company for years until its decline all thanks to Albert Wesker. The same man that betrayed "Excella" had also done the same to Umbrella. He downloaded all of the company's archives wiping out all of the data from the computer. Wesker then made a deal with the court and provided excerpts of Umbrella's archives resulting in the company declaring bankruptcy.
It was Dr. Isaacs who informed Excella about Wesker and his history of being a traitor. Who uses people and cares no one but himself. With him gone, both Excella and Dr. Isaacs decide to run the black market instead of establishing another company.
Dr. Isaacs and Excella are in the control center of their new headquarters. They are both watching several screens each one showing the news about bio-terrorist attacks. The one screen on the lower right corner is showing a broadcast of the UN. The evil clones of Zatanna, Conner, and Wally would show up in their civvies.
Wally let out a low whistle "will you take a look at that."
"So much chaos" Zatanna added.
"Indeed" said Dr. Isaacs. "In just a matter of two years, Excella and I are running the black market selling good products to any wants to buy."
"And at reasonable prices" Excella adds.
"Not to mention restarting the clone production" said Conner. "And let's not forget about Plant 50 being reborn again" Wally added.
"A more portal version" Zatanna corrects Wally.
"You can also include stealing from Star Labs" said Excella.
"With the gear you have provided us and a glamour spell" added Conner as Zatanna bows. "Stealing from there was a piece of cake."
"And now the restoration pods will work much faster" said Dr. Isaacs.
"Something's been on my mind" said Zatanna glancing at Dr. Isaacs who in return looks right back at her. She continues "you were a scientist for the Umbrella Corporation. So you must know about the outbreak in Raccoon City."
"Yeah I'm kind of curious myself" as Wally does a thinking gesture. "Was that Wesker's doing?"
"You would think so, but no. The viral outbreak and the destruction of Raccoon City were caused by Dr. William Birkin" Dr. Isaacs explains.
"Was he another traitor" asked Conner.
"Yes. In 1988, William Birkin took over the research of the T-Virus after complications of paranoia amongst co-founders. In that same year, he discovered the G-Virus" Dr. Isaacs answered.
"How did he betray Umbrella" Zatanna asks Dr. Isaacs.
"The company was suspicious of him and they were right. He had contacted the U.S. military in attempt to sell the virus" he responds.
"Then what" asked Wally.
"The company sent Alpha Team to retrieve the virus from Birkin" Dr. Isaacs answered. Letting out a sigh he would add "but at a cost…"

Twenty Years Ago…
William Birkin is his laboratory putting the vials of the virus into a duralumin case. He looks at the vial of bright purple-colored liquid. "Ten years, my life's work completed" he says. Suddenly the sound of footsteps marching as Alpha Team led by HUNK enters the room. Birkin sees them quickly grabs the case holding onto it tight.
"I see the company sent their dogs" said William.
"You know why we're here. You need to come with us" HUNK demands as Alpha Team aim their submachine guns at Birkin.
William puts his hand in his lab coat glaring at them "this is my life's work. And I'm not handing over anything."
"We have our orders" HUNK tells Birkin. "So I'll ask you one more time…"
That is when Birkin takes out a handgun but one member of Alpha Team would shoot at the scientist hit with a barrage of bullets. "Hold your fire" HUNK shouts. Another of member would approach the fallen doctor. He checks for a pulse to be disappointed unable getting one.
HUNK glares at the Alpha Team member who shot at Birkin. "What the hell are you thinking? Our orders were to bring him in alive" as he berates his subordinate for the actions. Frustrated, HUNK turns his back for a second putting his finger up listening to something coming from his comm.
"We're in sir, but we ran into a problem. Birkin resisted, we had to take him out" said HUNK. There's brief pause as he waits for what's next. He would then receive orders from the other end. "Roger that, just the samples then" HUNK says. The Alpha Team member picks up the case containing the virus.
"Let's move" as HUNK gives the orders to Alpha Team. They leave the laboratory leaving Dr. William Birkin dead lying on the floor.
However that was the case as Birkin wasn't dead. He's alive but mortally wounded as he holding the last G-Virus sample. He coughs "my life's work…I'll make them pay…"
He injects himself with the last remaining G sample throwing the syringe away. He struggles to get up and at the same time his wife Annette shows up. She sees the blood on the floor and the syringe that contained the G-Virus.
Looking on in horror she asks "William; what have you done?" He stands up as if he's fully healed shouting "G is my creation. They won't get away…" He feels the effects of the virus as body slowly twitches as he begins to leave. Annette sees the pistol on the floor picking it up. She aims the gun on her husband who is leaving the room. She can't find herself to pull trigger, her love for him prevented her from killing him. William had left the lab as the virus continues to mutate him…
Alpha Team made their way into the sewers escaping the laboratory with the G-Virus. HUNK takes the lead with the rest follow behind. The one Alpha Team member who is carrying the case stops when he hears a roaring sound. The other member also hears it stops as well. HUNK and the other Alpha Team member stop when they hear roaring sound and a machine gun being fired.
"What was that" HUNK asks.
"It came from over" he responds pointing down.
The member of Alpha Team who is holding the case walking back while the other is shoots at an unseen monster. But the bullets do no effect as it gets closer. Then screams can be heard that gets HUNK and the other member their attention.
"Hurry" HUNK says.
The member of Alpha Team gets slammed down showing claw marks on his chest. The monster steps on the vials of the T-Virus. It then consumes the vials containing the G-Virus. They would arrive at the scene witnessing the two dead members of Alpha Team and the monster who turns around. HUNK immediately recognizes the monster. It's William Birkin who has completely mutated.
"What the hell?"
"Fire, fire" as HUNK and the other Alpha Team member begin shooting at the mutated William Birkin.
Birkin charges up to the two going for the kill. HUNK does an evasive maneuver but the other team member gets slashed in the chest. With one member left the mutated Birkin approaches HUNK. He walks back to where the open case is at. He looks down to see the last G-Virus sample. He takes the last sample showing it to Birkin who stops.
"Is this what you want" as HUNK taunts Birkin showing the last G-Virus sample.
Birkin slowly walks up to HUNK who secretly takes out a grenade. The minute Birkin gets close, HUNK throws the grenade on the ground that emits a bright light. HUNK runs pass a temporary blinded Birkin with the sample in hand. Being the only member of Alpha Team left, HUNK manages to escape the mutated William Birkin. Armed with his machine gun, he gets further into the sewers. Elsewhere as large shadow figure walks pass the case that contained the samples as the rats consume the T-Virus.

"So the rats were the carriers of the virus" said Zatanna.
"The infected rats made their way into the outskirts of the city, where they swam in the main reservoir" said Dr. Isaacs.
"That contaminated the drinking water infected thousands" Wally says.
"In a matter of days, the city was swarming with zombies. It became untenable and the President authorized the bombing of the city. Over one hundred-thousand people dead" Dr. Isaacs explains.
"And that would begin the collapse of Umbrella" said Zatanna as she shook her head.
Excella; who doesn't seem to be paying attention is more focused on the broadcast on the UN. Wally notices this asks "hey you okay?"
"I'm perfectly fine" Excella answered. "I'm just watching this meta-human summit." She uses the remote to zoom in to the broadcast.
"Ah yes, several members of the Justice League had to resign because of the regulations" said Dr. Isaacs.
"So much has happened" said Conner. "And I thought bioterrorism was pandemic. There's another pandemic going around" Wally added.
"The meta human trafficking" said Excella.
"I don't know much about it" Zatanna says. She then glances at Wally, Conner, and Dr. Isaacs "do you guys know?"
"Your guess is as good as mine" Wally answered. "Someone must know about it" said Dr. Isaacs.
"I know someone" said Excella. She uses the remote to pause the broadcast that shows Secretary-General Lex Luthor.
