Chapter 3: 2013 part 3
The Himmel system was a binary one, the two stars orbited each other at one lighthours, the larger G0 star had 4 planets, three rocky and one gas giant, and the smaller G4 star has only two, wheroff Himmel was one of them.
Six mercinary Hatak class ships was moving in. Leading the assault was the Goa'Uld Khofru. Like many surving Goa'Uld he chose to server the Tau*Ri when his former Jaffa and the Tok'Ra came for him. A choice made easy since a) he was one of the few who knew Ba'al's location (or that to one of his clones, but who knew which Ba'al was the real one and which Ba'al was the clone) and b) the lack of Sarcophagus for a full year did wonders for his and his host's mental health. Granted there were more than a few Goa'Uld trying to raise armies to reconquer their glory, but they had too little wealth to pay for any willing soldiers, so in the end it was just saberrattling so the Tau'Ri and the Tok'Ra just ignore it. A more emmidiate concern for both Goa'Uld and the Tok'Ra was the lack of Queens.
Due to that the Goa'Uld used egg-laying Queens inorder to repreduce similar to certain insects on Earth or like the Wraith in the Pegasus, Queens was invalulable to the Goa'Uld but alas no Goa'Uld Queen survived the Jaffa upprising, except for feral ones found on the Goa'Uld homeworld of P3X-888 or Xaos in the Goa'Uld language, and neither the remaining Goa'Uld or the Tok'Ra was willing to use them. In the end both of them decided speperattly to allow the births of Harcesises in order for their respective cultures to survive.
"Range to target?" asked Khofru the Jaffa that was his second in command.
"We just went past the gravitional tide between the two stars. so six hour more flight." said Jian'Shi. The Jaffa had started as an Ashtak (Ninja) Jaffa under Anubis long before his return, and then briefly as a soldier for Ba'al before joining the Tau'Ri as an mercinary.
"Good. any ships in the area?"
"A few fusion drive powered, no artificial gravity fields. Magnetic railgus as weapons with no shields for a screen"
"Military?" asked Khofru.
"It seems a three military vessels for every two civilian ones." came the reply from Jian'Shi as his console alerted him of something. "Two ships have seen us, they are sending a message."
"Put it up."
"Hail Nirrti we offer fifty tons of Naquadah as an offering for you." came the voice in very broken Goa'Uld.
"Nirrti? but she died years ago." said Khofru. "And why do they want to send offerings to her?"
"This system was part of Nirrti's territory before her exile and later death." said Jian'Shi "It seems that the Axis knew enough to attempt please her and leave them be."
"You know this how?"
"During her exile, Nirrti approached Anubis with her research in order to get som Ancient Genetic technology."
"Allright, let send these nutjobs our reply. Open a channel."
"Channel open."
"Listen up, this is General Khofru, on the grounds of the Yalta agreement between the USA, Great Brittain and the Soviet Republic. You are ordered to stand down and surrender unconditionally." said Khofru in German.
"Allies here? in Goa'Uld ships?" came the response from the two Axis ships, and a few shots from their railguns.
"Ehm, are they suicidal?" asked Khofru his second officer as the enemies fire was being stopped by the shields.
"Not really." said Jian'Shi. "My guess is that they are just doing it out of pure fear."
"Well then, you may return fire."
Khofru's lead ship fired its guns at the two Axis ships, after one clean hit on each of their engines and both ships blew up at all hands.
"Did they send any transmissions back to Himmel?" asked Khofru.
"No General." came the Jian'Shi's reply. "We are in the clear."
"Good, Send the Zarabbabel our time table."
"Done. Lunch?"
"Why not, im starving," came the reply Khofru's host, who had been silent for the past few days. "I think that Persephone is doing her Falafel."
"Come on, you get so gassy its gets unconformable to be inside you." said Khofru.
"And you ask me why I like to eat it despite knowing my every thought."
"I find it amusing listening to you to talk to one another." said Jian'Shi.
"Shut up." said both Khofru and his host.
Six hours later Khofru and Jian'Shi was inspecting the troops that was onboard their ship. They had captured thrity remaining enemy military and remaining twenty civilian and killed frour millitary and one cvililan ship, while en route to Himmel.
Himmel Colony's Spacecommand was wondering where everyone were, slowly the officers there started to have a cold chill down thier collective spine about the silence from their comrades in space.
The typical Jaffa armament had been replaced new designs since turning mercinary for the Tau'Ri. The staffweapon had been replaced with the Sodan design and helmets had been remade to look to be similar to Ancient Greek helmets or those worn by Jaffa serving for the Goa'Uld pretending to be the Greek gods. Their armour was a Tau'Ri Ballisticvest with ceremic plates inserted for increase effectiveness against the plasmabolts used by Staffweapons. Their gear included entrenching tools, medpacks and survival gear. Their ranks included not just Jaffa, but Humans, Unas, Goa'Uld, Tlak'kahn and other races from the protectorates. In addition each wore a flagpatch belonging to one Earth nation chosen at random.
"You have gotten your orders." said Khofru. "As soon as our ships's weapon fire abates. You shall descend and take key areas and await local rebel forces."
"Once you have linked up with then you are going to assault Axis military compounds, govermental offices and prison camps." joined Jian'Shi in. "While we have been given the local rebel forces weapons, we must be their shield as they take back controll of their planet."
"Questions?" asked Khorfru.
"Sir." said a Tlak'kahn. "What is going to happen ot the Axis colonists?"
"Good question, soldier. Outside of holders of goverment office, military officers and collaborators, nothing. They are considered as part of the population by Himmel natives."
"Sir." said a Goa'Uld. "After our assault what are we going to call the system, since Himmel is an Earther term of it."
"According Zarubbel we are still going to call it Himmel, the planetary natives name for themselves, of which they share with thier planet, is Keres however. Himmel is more neutral term despite the Axis origin."
"Anything else?" asked Jian'Shi. "Good we start to our orbital strike to soften them up in ten minutes."
Down on the surface Lt. Schulz was settling down at his post while his colleges was scurrying about the lost ships in space. He however could have made a good guess considering what was coming for them. He turned around towards the entrance of Spacecommand's control room, coming out of it, he saw the Governor Hans Schreck. The Governor was furious about the news of missing ships, and then he walked towards Lt. Schulz and with a roar he shouted.
"Do you have any rotten idea what have happened to our ships in space?"
"No Governor Schreck." lied Lt. Schulz. "Not a faintest idea."
"You are sure?" shouted Governor Schreck.
And as Lt. Schulz started to answer the furious Governor, a massive driving sound was heard from outside as a plasmabolt from an orbiting Hatak hit the carpark outside the Spacecommand.
Governor Schreck turned around and the blood in his face vanished, as it dawned to him (or at least of what he knew), the Goa'Uld had returned to Himmel with the intent to wrestle control of the planet from the "rightful" rulers of the galaxy,
"Governor with me and I take you to the command bunker." said Lt. Schulz.
"Yes Lieutenant, thank you. From there I will lead our troops to victory." said Governor Schreck, despite the knowing that the young Lieutenant should not know the way to the bunker.
As the Lt. Schulz led Governor and his bodyguards to the tunnels that led to the command bunker. As they made a turn, they saw Zarubbel and a few rebel warriors.
"At long last you are in mine... Our grasp Zarubbabel." said Governor Schreck.
"No Governor, you are in ours." said Lt. Schulz as he pulled out a Zatgun given to him earlier that day by Zarubbabel and their Tau'Ri allies, and stunned Governor Schreck and his bodyguards.-
"Here, Zarubbabel." said Lt. Schulz and started to hand over the Zatgun.
"Keep it Heinrich. You earned it." said the rebel leader.
"Thank you. How is the invasion going?"
"Better than expected, we have fewer losses than predicted and completed our main objectives faster aswell."
"Thats wonderful sir."
"Yes it is." said Zarubbabel
As they finished securing Governor Schreck and his bodyguards, two more RRFC members arrived with a message.
"Sir, we have a message from your father, Field Marshall von Blücher, that he is willing to surrender." said one of the messengers.
"Good, take me to him." said Zarubbabel. Thanking the gods that he had said the truth to his followers a few years earlier about his connection to the Field Marshall. The RRFC had even used it in both propaganda purposes and in thier beneft, in few nonofficial backroom talks between the RRFC an the Axis goverment.
An hour later Field Marshall Heinrich von Blücher stood before his son and his allies.
"Son." said the Field Marshall to his son.
"Father." was the reply from the RRFC leader.
"I can't speak for any of the special forces, such as the SS, but the General Colonial Forces of Himmel are surrendering, without conditions and immediatly."
"As the leader of the Resistance, Rebels and Fifth Coloumnist, I accept this surrender." said Zarubbabel. "Warriors, take my father to the detention area."
"Yes sir." spoke the lead warrior. "Come with me Field Marshall."
"Sir I have General Khofru on radio." said another warrior.
"Put him through." ordered Zarubbabel. "General, any news?"
"The Itallians and the Japanese special forces have surrendered, the SS is being a bit tougher." said the Khofru
"And the Bulgarian, Hungerian, Romanian and Thai special forces?"
"They got captured by our opening landing."
"How?" asked Zarubbabel.
"One legion from one of our Hatak ships accidentially captured them, while the enemy was doing some wargames between eachother. It was easy to do when your are outnumbered ten to one."
"Good, and give your superiors ny thanks."
"You are welcome. And the Governor?"
"Captured an hour ago."
"So, now, what about my superior's question?" asked Khofru.
"I will sign the IOA document of becoming a protectorate of them."
"I send them your thanks and the news of your signing on."
Four hours later, Khofru was standing on his ship's bridge, looking down towards Himmel. His solemn contemplation was broken when the duty officer called him over.
"Sir, the Sun Tzu is entering orbit." said the officer.
The Sun Tzu was rendevouing with Khofru's fleet so her Captain could return to command her. Aswell, Genera O'Neill was onboard.
"Good, contact Colonel Sung, theat her ship has arrived and beam us onboard." ordered Khofru.
"Yes, sir." replied the duty officer, and a minute later a bright light filled the bridge as Khofru and Colonel Sung was beamed abourd the Sun Tzu.
"Permission to come abourd, Colonel?" asked Khofru.
"Permission granted." replied Colonel Sung. "Lieutenant, escort General Khofru to General O'Neill."
"Yes, Colonel." said a young looking Lieutenant. "This way General."
"Thank you Lieutenant...?" asked Khofru.
"Xue, sir. Xue Hua."
"Well then. Thank you Lieutenant Xue."
"Thank you sir."
After a minute walk they had arrived to a conference room onboard the Sun Tzu. At the head of the table General O'Niell was going through his paperwork on a laptop.
"General O'Neill sir, General Khofru is here." announce the Lt. Xue.
"Thank you Lieutenant," said General O'Neill. "Please be seeted Khofru."
"Thank you General." said Khofru, who was bit puzzled every time everyone outside of his command had put the prefix General, despite the lack of clear orginazaion among the mercinaries under Tau'Ri employ.
"How are the negotiations down there?" asked General O'Neill.
"SLow, the former planetary governor isn't liking that he and other high ranking officials will be put on trial, nor that the Axis had lost back in your WWII." said Khofru.
"If i can stomach working with the Goa'Uld, then he can stomach that."
"I appriciate that you are open with your feelings about my people, honest. I may not the first nor do I suspect that I will be lasts, but the Jaffa and slaves of the our empire had very good reasons to rise up."
"What do Schreck want?"
"Basically everything that he and his fellows not only go scott free but also will be put back on top of the anthill. Lya usually takes an fifteen minute break every hour or so, just to clear her head from Schreck's bile."
"And Zarubbabel?"
"Accomedationg to a fault toward us. His sole demand from us is that we make him hereditary ruler of the planet, within the confines of our constitiution and laws."
"I will tell the IOA about it, but I don't see any problems with that." said General O'Neill as a knock on the door to the conference room was heard. "Come in."
"Generals." saluted Colonel Sung. "We have a situation down on the planet."
"What is it." asked General O'Neill.
"Former governor Schreck has taken Lya as a hostage." was the answer.
Down on the planet inside a similar conference room inside Himmel's Colonial Palace of Joint Authority in Neuberlin. Scheck had taken pulled out a hidden pistol and grabbed Lya and pointed the gun towards her head.
Without access to her people's technology she couldn't fade neither her nor the gun pointed towards her head.
"Stall him." asked King Mihai Lucescu from Ascension, as started to weave a spell in silince, to King Kuai'Kuei IV from Westeros.
The Wight king subtly nodded in agreement.
"What do you want, Governor Schreck?" asked the Wight King,
"What I want!" shouted Schreck. "I want all of you to surrender to us, intern all Jews and Romani across the galaxy so they can be wiped out!"
"Anything else?" said the Wight King.
"That is it!".
"Ok." said the Wight King as his collegue from Asension had finished weawing his spell. And a strange angelic looking creature appeared behind Schreck through a dim sulfur smelling pillar of light and disarmed him, before returning in a similar way.
"What?" asked a stunned Schreck as King Gustavus Adolphus hit him with a right hook.
"Here my lady." said King Gustavus Adolphus to Lya as he helped her up. "What was that creature you summoned, Mihai?"
"Somewhere within Omega or Hell or whatever you may call it." answered King Mihai. "The spell only tells the spirit summoned to do one specific thing before being forced to return back from whatever dimension it came from. Or it will do terrible things in the material world."
"Why not from the Heavens." asked Ser Davos Seaworth from Westeros.
"Good, question, Ser Davos. I only know how to summon thing from Omega, and if I knew how to summon spirits from Alpha the endresult would be the same, albeit with maybe a stern waring before hand."
"So Heaven and Hell is two sides of the same coin?" said King Gustavus Adophus. "Sounds like the Fabulist David Eddings stories. One side is preferable but it is a tossup in the end."
"That is my experience back home on Ascension." answered King Mihai. "You seem to be familiar with mr. Edding's body of work?"
"A bit, my daughter has read them and pestered me to do the same. A question, King Mihai, is it worth fighting for one side to come up heads?"
"Always."
On the ground, Schreck started to moan.
"Now, mr. Schreck." said Ser Davos. "Are you willing to listen to reason and accept defeat?"
As Schreck was about to answer Sun Tzu beeamed down marines to defuse the now already defused situation.
"I accept." said Schreck with as much bile and defiance he could muster.
