-In the meadow; mid-afternoon, about two hours before dusk-
There's traces of the melting snow around the scattered group of people, the warmth of the sun beaming though crevices and corners of numerous branches above them, and there's the faint sound of birds chirping, the wind blowing through the trees, little critters making their way in the bordering bushes as they busied themselves with finding food, water, shelter, companionship through a few is curious of the humans out in the open.
Having never seen a human before, a recently-born chipmunk has the courage to scurry closer to one of the humans, the strange dark colored one, and he sniffed, tilting his little head as he investigated on and on, and touched a finger, the slight whiskers on his nose tickled the sensitive skin of the human, causing her to stir and wake up slowly, startling the little chipmunk into a run and hide into a nearby bush.
She groaned lightly, "What hit me?", raising her hand to rub at her eyes, blinking before gasping out loud when she saw the condition or rather, the dimension of her hand, and she shot up into a half laying, half sitting position, looking over herself.
She sighed in relief as there's nothing injured or broken, and at the sound of a murmur, she looked over, and in her shock, she saw a animated man nearby, but as she took a closer look, she gasped, "Jason?!". The man in question groaned lightly in his sleep, "Five more minutes, Zuri.".
Zuri rolled her eyes, realizing in a instant, seeing that's truly Jason. From the animated dimension on his body, he looked like a mixed brown-haired, blue-eyed version of John Rolfe and Prince Adam, Disney style. Zuri, Jason, and the rest of the group has been Disney fans, prone to a weekender movie marathon of their picks from the earliest made ones to the 2010 made ones.
Zuri pursued her lips thoughtfully as she looked around further more, and saw Logan a bit further on, recognizing his trademark scruffy hair. Judging from the dimension of his body, Logan looks like a mixed brown-eyed, black-haired version of Hercules and Aladdin, through his muscles aren't that buff or that skinny.
She smiled smugly as she saw Logan sniffing some grass, and attempting to eat them, probably dreaming of chocolate, and decided to spare him the embarrassment by tricking him slightly, "Logan, man, you're eating Emma's hat!". He shot up, "Not me!", blinking awake, and making sense of his little situation, he spat out the remains of the grass, and glared sharply at Zuri.
"That's not fair!...Zuri? Is that you?", asked Logan in surprise. Zuri nodded with a raised eyebrow, "In the flesh, Logan. You should look at yourself.". Logan blinked slowly in confusion, and looked over himself as Zuri looked at the others.
Haku looks like a mix of Milo and Shang, through the Japanese features are more prominent, while his muscles seemed to be slimmer than Shang's yet a bit thicker than Milo's, and of course, there's no glasses either.
Zuri then heard Logan comment, "You remind me of Tiana and Dr. Sweet, Zuri.". Zuri looked back at him, "Really?". Logan nodded, "Yeah. Your hair and eyes are different from Tiana's, through, and your muscles are slimmer than Dr. Sweet. Of course, he's a man, bigger than you in frame and height, but still...".
Zuri nodded in understanding, and looked at the last two people in the group. Pippa sorta resembles a mixed version of Ariel and Cinderella, through the brown hair would differentiate her in that, along with her accent, and the slight addition of muscles as well.
And as for Emma, she would be mistaken as a twin sister of Helga, through her gray eyes and skin tone is different, and Zuri detects a hint of Tinkerbell in the facial features as well. Zuri then looked back to see Logan waking Jason up by way of holding his nose, and causing him to yell out in force as he came forward, and sure enough, the yell was loud enough to wake Haku and Pippa.
Like her and Logan, the three reacted similarly when they saw themselves, and Zuri then prodded Emma, "Emma, wake up!". Emma blinked her eyes open, "I didn't call for a nap...Zuri?".
Zuri nodded silently with a tilt of her head, and Emma groaned, "Okay, who drove us in the ditch?!". Haku commented, "We're not in a ditch. Looks like we're in a meadow with trees bordering...Where are we?".
Jason huffed lightly after recovering from Logan's wake-up method, "More like how did we get here? I remember that glowing door thing.". Haku nodded, "I remember that too. The GMC's not here...Do you think we got taken for ransom?".
Emma shook her head as she checked herself, "If that was the situation, we would have been tied up to chairs, chained up from neck to feet.". Pippa nodded, "That sounds right, and we aren't. We're stranded off in nowhere, still wearing clothes, through it's really cooler! I would use a coat about right now.".
Logan commented, "It's winter, look at the trees and snow. Barely a week or two into December if the leaves are already gone like this.".
Zuri blinked, "That's impossible! We couldn't have been out that long otherwise we'd be starving and weak!". Emma shook her head, "And it ain't Florida either. Look at the surroundings around us. I'd have to say we are somewhere north if those are birch and oak trees.".
Haku glanced around, "And the sun's somehow late into the afternoon, perhaps a hour or two before sunset. I definitely remember that it was nearing noon back there in the GMC.".
Jason sighed heavily, "Great, just great. We're stranded in a forest, no specific time, and I don't even have my phone! At least, I got my hidden military knife.", revealing his holster under his pant sleeve on the right leg. The others heard his comment, and checked themselves again, and to their horror yet relief, they have no phones yet they have their annual holstered military knives, which is Bowie for the boys and Drop Point for the girls.
Pippa looked at her comrades, "Right, who's doing the wood and fire?". Emma sighed lightly, "Logan, you go with Pippa to search for water and berries that way. Jason, you stay here with Zuri to work on the fire. I got Haku, we'll head another way. We could find a high point and determine how far civilization is from here.".
Logan nodded, "Alright, I will shred pieces of my shirt to trace I and Pippa's path. I will be fine, walking will keep me warm.". Emma chuckled, "Fair enough. Haku?".
Haku nodded, "I will do the same. It's lucky that our clothes are different in colors.". Jason smiled, "We'll be fine here. There's plenty of wood around. You better hurry up before the sun sets completely.". Nods of agreement came, and the teams of two went off to do their assignments in various directions, knowing that the meadow is their home base for the time being.
After about a half hour later, Logan and Pippa returned with talk of discovering a stream, and hand-grabbing 3 fish. About 10 minutes later, Emma and Haku returned with a surprise of two crates, one containing 12 British Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mark 1 rifles, and the other containing WW2 Swedish Wool coats and WW2 RAF Bomber jackets.
Emma grinned lightly, "There's more crates; full of ammo, other guns, backpacks, boots. We will come for them in the morning. I do not want to be lost in the dark out there.". Jason nodded, "Sounds good to me, and thanks for the clothes! Pippa sure looks happy in her coat.".
Pippa laughed softly, "I think I am more than happy, Jas. This is so comfortable.", sighing contently with a bellyful of fish in her, the fire making her drowsy. Logan yawned lightly, "Good thing you got the rifles, Em. Better to be safe than nothing in a strange forest.".
Haku nodded lightly, "I will keep first shift, my friends. I shall wake you in turns.", making himself comfortable while sitting against a log. Zuri nodded, "Great, wake me in a couple of hours. Night, guys.", resting against a rolled bundle of jacket with the coat covering her.
"Well, you heard the woman, we better catch some sleep before our turns.", Jason went to sleep almost quickly, and Logan smirked softly, "First time I ever saw him fall sleep that fast. Night, girls.", before heading to sleep himself.
Pippa and Emma glanced at each other, nodded silently with a smile, and went to sleep, with Haku smiling and whispering, "Oyasumi, my dear friends. Let your dreams be peaceful tonight.", turning into alert mode with his rifle on his lap. Sounds of hooting, whistling, crackling filled the night as the stars came into sight, especially two stars, one very bright and twinkling.
