It took a few hours to stitch up Robin, tie up the dead bear to the three horses, create a makeshift toboggan to move Robin without making his injuries worse, and came to know the family. The gang sure was shocked to find out that Robin's wife is Marian, and that their young son is Tod, all humanized.
Whispered conversations between the group has provided a theory that many, if not all Disney animals are humanized, and decided to see if that's true once they arrive to Sherwood Hollow. Like Marian has said, it took a hour to get back to town, and when the group saw it from the vantage point, it resembled small town Americana style, having about 500 people.
When they came down, the group was shocked when they studied several people closely once met properly. The mayor is King Richard Lionheart, tanned, bright brown eyes, chin-length dusty brown hair with sideburns and a beard, wearing a blue formal shirt, gray trousers, chocolate brown boots, and a dark red cape with a gold buckle at the top.
Instead of Marian being his adopted niece, she's actually his daughter. Turns out Marian resembles her mother who passed away when she was just five. Then, there's Sir Hiss, but his name here in this world is Adder Queen. Weird, but fitting for him as he's the manager of the bank here in Sherwood Hollow. He is pale-faired, dark blue eyes, curly dark brown hair with a bit of a goatee, wearing a light olive green formal shirt under a dark green coat, a bright blue bowtie at his neck, cream-grayish trousers, black formal shoes.
And then there's Little John aka Johnny Matheson, Robin's best friend. He has a brother, Baloo who lives in the region of Andalasia. Johnny's the sheriff of Sherwood Hollow, pale tanned, dark brown eyes, scruffy medium brown hair, wearing a dark gray Sheriff's hat with a dark green belt around it, holding into the Sheriff's gold emblem star, a casual teal shirt under a gray overcoat, blue pants with a black belt, dark brown boots, having muscles while a bit of a chubby frame about him.
And then there's Johnny's deputy, Lady Cluck or rather Crissy Dingwall, a distant cousin of the Dingwall clan over in Nalto. She's pale-tanned, dark brown eyes, blonde hair in a braid, wearing a pinkish-red cape over her sleeved medium-blue shirt, brown belt, and dark blue trousers, and dark brown boots.
And then there's Friar Tuck or rather Tucker Brown. He's the priest of the church, of course. He's tanned, dark brown eyes, silver-gray hair with a beard, wearing a dark brown cape over his pale brown sleeved shirt, red sash, medium brown trousers, and dark brown shoes.
There's also Otto Dougal, the blacksmith of the town. He's tanned, light brown eyes, dark brown hair with a beard, wearing a dark blue cape over his brown sleeved shirt, light brown belt, dark gray trousers, and dark brown shoes.
Then there's the kids. Skippy Hopps, a distant cousin of Judy Hopps up north in the region of Narnia. He's pale-tanned, gray eyes, blonde hair, wearing a red cape over his medium-blue tunic, brown belt, dark green trousers, cream-gray shoes. He and his sister are orphans as their mother passed last winter from a fatal illness.
Sissy Hopps, twin sister of Skippy, pale-tanned, gray eyes, blonde hair in a ponytail, wearing a rose pink cape over her pink sleeved shirt, rose pink belt, pink skirt, medium pink leggings, dark brown boots.
And then there's Copper Slade, best friend of Tod and son of Cash and Dixie. He's pale-tanned, light brown eyes, very dark brown hair, wearing a dark brown cape over his medium blue sleeved tunic, medium brown belt, medium-darkish brown trousers, and dark gray shoes.
Cash Slade, he's the lead singer (troubadour) of the town band, being dark tanned, chocolate brown eyes, very dark brown hair, wearing a dark red cape over his brown sleeved tunic, medium brown belt, teal trousers, and dark brown shoes.
Dixie Slade nee Opry, she's the co-singer of the town band, being pale-tanned, light brown eyes, and light red hair way past the shoulders, wearing a dark gray cape over her medium purple sleeved shirt, black belt, medium purple skirt, light purple leggings, black shoes.
And then there's the Stray brothers, identical twins; Waylon and Floyd. They're in the drummer and the lute positions of the band. They both have dark brown hair, medium brown eyes, tanned skin. The way to tell them different is their outfits. Waylon prefers to wear red while Floyd likes to wear green.
Soon after knowing them, prices was bartered for the fur, meat, claws of the bear between the group and some villagers, and so, that night after acquiring a few rooms at the town inn, they came to have dinner at a tavern with a stage.
The group then witnessed the band singing one of their very favorite songs, 'We're in Harmony', and they weren't disappointed at all as the band truly sounded like angels, perfect in sync. It was incredible, indeed, and the crowd loved it, thanks to the tremendous applause.
Naturally, like modern times, the band called out for volunteers to try out their vocals themselves, and of course, Emma was persuaded quite vocally by her friends, and the band invited her up, along with Logan taking up the lute as it similarly works like a guitar. Having worked together a few times on talent nights back in the military, they knew what to do, and so they went for one of Emma's favorite songs with a bit of change in there.
[Verse 1]
I am a question to the world
Not an answer to be heard
Or a moment that's held in your arms
And what do you think you'd ever say?
I won't listen anyway
You don't know me
And I'll never be what you want me to be
[Verse 2]
And what do you think you'd understand?
I'm a girl—no, I'm a woman
You can't take me and throw me away
And how can you learn what's never shown?
Yeah, you stand here on your own
They don't know me 'cause I'm not here
[Chorus]
And I want a moment to be real
Wanna touch things I don't feel
Wanna hold on and feel I belong
And how can the world want me to change?
They're the ones that stay the same
They don't know me 'cause I'm not here
[Verse 3]
And you see the things they never see
All you wanted, I could be
Now you know me, and I'm not afraid
And I want to tell you who I am
Can you help me be a woman?
They can't break me, as long as I know who I am
[Chorus]
And I want a moment to be real
Wanna touch things I don't feel
Wanna hold on, and feel I belong
And how can the world want me to change?
They're the ones that stay the same
They can't see me but I'm still here
[Bridge]
They can't tell me who to be
'Cause I'm not what they see
Yeah, the world is still sleepin'
While I keep on dreamin' for me
And their words are just whispers
And lies that I'll never believe
[Chorus]
And I want a moment to be real
Want to touch things I don't feel
Wanna hold on, and feel I belong
And how can you say I'll never change?
They're the ones that stay the same
I'm the one now 'cause I'm still here
[Outro]
I'm the one, 'cause I'm still here
I'm still here
I'm still here
I'm still here
The turnout applause was way louder than anyone would've expected, shaking the rafters, and echoing through corners and shadows, and Emma became the most popular person in that tavern, compliments and smiles all around. Why, the band wanted to recruit her and Logan, but the group regretfully told them that they wouldn't stay for long as rumors have been heard, and they wanted to help somehow while on the road.
But to their delight, the group said that they will visit the town as much as they could with the war, knowing that hope is necessary as it has been proven tonight that Emma's song has driven hope into many hearts.
Neither way, they've decided to stay for a week, planning to scrounge up all gossip, rumors, even whispered hints while figuring out the proper way to do their journey, and of course, checking on Robin every day to make sure that infection or a fever didn't intrude into his immune system.
Having seen proof that this world isn't the world/universe they canonically knew, they have the suspicion that this is far bigger than themselves, and they aren't going to back away when there's a war, knowing that they wouldn't dare leave those innocent people like that, even if they were honorably discharged soldiers.
