Chapter 2
Harry fell through darkness, holding onto his wife and friends when suddenly they landed hard onto a floor. Harry rolled with the fall, pulling out his wand as he came up, ready to cast whatever spell might be needed. Out of the corner of his eyes, he could see Ginny, Alicia, and Jason doing the same thing. Jason and Alicia put large shields around them, leaving Harry and Ginny free to go on the offense if needed.
Harry looked around and saw they were in the basement of Grimmauld Place, but Grimmauld Place as Harry remembered it when he had just moved in with Sirius, when it had still been an abandoned trash heap of a home.
While the building was confusing enough, that was nothing compared to the group of people that were surrounding them.
"We stole some people's children!" a woman who looked like Molly Weasley moaned. "I knew this was a bad idea."
Around her were many other familiar faces like Sirius Black, Remus and Dora Lupin, and Arthur Weasley. He could see Charlie, Bill, Fred, George, Kingsley, Minerva, and Dedalus Diggle among others he didn't recognize. However, the greatest shocks were seeing the faces of those who had died like Mad-Eye Moody and none other than Albus Dumbledore. Harry felt a blow in the pit of his stomach as he saw two people who greatly resembled the pictures of his parents that he'd seen.
"If you think disguising yourself as the faces of our friends, family, and fallen comrades will save you from retribution, you've figured wrong," Jason growled at the group. "Who are you? Why did you bring us here?"
"Calm down, my boy," the fake Albus said, attempting to be soothing. "My name is Albus Dumbledore."
"Albus Dumbledore is dead," Alicia snapped. "Try again, imposter."
"Watch your tone," fake Mad-Eye growled.
"Don't you dare threaten us while wearing Mad-Eye's face," Ginny said frostily. "He was a great friend and a great mentor. Now, where are we and what do you want with us?"
"If you think you'll use us as hostages, you'll be sadly mistaken," Jason said coldly. "We're well prepared to blast our way through each and every one of you, familiar faces or not, and we've faced far worse odds. Artemis!"
Harry was expecting the phoenix to flash in, likely with Izzy, but it didn't happen, which was cause for concern. He could tell it shook Jason and Alicia to their cores.
"Now, let's all just calm down," fake Tonks said. "This is a huge mistake. We didn't intend to bring you here. Our spell must have gone wrong. It was only supposed to bring one person, not four."
Jason frowned, lowering his wand slightly. "The spell was only supposed to bring him," Jason said pointing at Harry, but keeping his eyes on the unknown people. "The rest of us grabbed on and joined rather than let him be dragged alone."
"It still has to be a mistake," fake Sirius said with an eye roll. "We were trying to summon a warrior capable of killing You-Know-Who, not some kids with an attitude problem."
"But Volde-" Alicia began.
"NOOO!" yelled nearly all the other members in the room.
"You can't say the name, "fake Bill Weasley said. "Maybe he's dead in your world, but not in ours."
"Y-your world?" Ginny asked faintly.
"You summoned us to another universe?" Jason asked his voice a mixture of shock and anger, catching on quicker than Harry had.
"Not on purpose," Mad-Eye said. "We expected someone capable of killing You-Know-Who."
"It doesn't matter what you expected," Jason snarled back angrier than Harry had seen him in a very long time. "How dare you steal someone else to solve your bloody problems!"
"Besides, you got what you asked for then," Harry said angrily, Jason, Alicia, and Ginny shot him sympathetic looks, "but I'm not going to be anybody's puppet."
"What do you mean?" Arthur Weasley said, looking confused.
Albus Dumbledore was giving Harry knowing looks.
"In my world, I'm the one who killed the snake faced bastard," Harry said with a bite in his tone. "Technically you got more than you bargained for. Jason beat him in a duel once himself and Alicia and Ginny are just as capable of the feat."
"But, you're just children!" Mrs. Weasley protested. "There's no way you're all capable of beating him in duels and killing him."
"War doesn't care about age," Harry said with a sigh, trying to get his emotions under control. "It was either kill Death Eaters and You-Know-Who or let him kill everyone else. Trust me, at least one of us has beat nearly every person in this room at one point, or at least the people we recognize, and that includes Albus Dumbledore, and we've all killed a great many people."
People shot him disbelieving or shocked looks at that statement.
"Besides, like my husband said, it doesn't matter whether he killed the son of a bitch or not, or whether we're capable of the same feat or not," Ginny said flatly, her eyes hard and cold. "You have no right to pluck up someone from their universe to solve your own problems. We lost a lot of good people during that war, and you can't force us to go through that again. Now, how do we get back to our world?"
Ginny's words seemed to have caused many in the room to look a little sheepish and embarrassed.
"You can't," Dumbledore said softly. "The ritual constitutes a binding of the warrior to this universe until he or she completes the task we have need of him or her for."
"So, you just plucked up a person, and basically enslaved them to your will in order to accomplish your goals?" Jason said, a hard edge in his frosty tone. "How does that make you any better than the Death Eaters?"
Some looked embarrassed while others looked outraged at the statement.
"We are nothing like those filth," Moody said, giving Jason a look of dislike.
"No, you just enslave someone to accomplish what you couldn't," Alicia growled back. "Whether that person had a family or any reason to live back home didn't even matter to you. If we don't make it back, our families will just have to accept that they'll never see us again or even know what happened to us."
"Alastor, that's enough," Dumbledore said quietly. "They're right, but we had no choice."
"We just can't kill him," Kingsley said uncomfortably, "or at least not permanently, and he's been in control for so long, there's just very little we can accomplish. We lose members every other day, and he owns the whole world. There hasn't been a muggleborn brought into the magical world in over ten years, muggles are dying daily and are being hunted or enslaved. It's getting closer and closer to the muggle world possibly finding out about us, though not like it would matter anymore."
"The whole world?" Harry asked, frowning.
"This world is obviously quite a bit different from ours," Jason said with a frown, his frosty tone thawing slightly in his interest, but not much.
"I know we don't have any right to ask anything, but will you please help us?" Lily asked, and she seemed to be glancing at Harry's face in particular, drinking it in. Harry suspected she knew who he was.
Harry looked at her, unable to separate from the fact that this was his mother, even if it was her from another universe, and his anger abandoned him. He looked at his wife, and Ginny's eyes softened, and she nodded slowly. He looked at Jason and Alicia who glanced at each other having a silent communication before sighing and nodding at him.
"Alright," Harry finally said lowering his wand with a sigh. "We'll help you, though not like we have another choice. My name is -"
"We know. You're James Potter," Moody said irritably.
"No," Harry said flatly. "My name is Harry Potter."
Lily's eyes shined in confirmation, while Sirius, Remus, and James looked like they'd been punched in the stomach.
People throughout the room gasped.
"My name is Jason Witcher," Jason introduced, trying to move along.
"I'm his better half, Alicia Witcher nee Spinnet," Alicia said.
"And I'm Harry's better half, Ginny Potter nee Weasley," Ginny introduced herself looking at the Weasley's in the room who gaped at her.
"G-Ginny?" Molly gasped, while the others stared at her.
"Something I need to know," Harry said avoiding his parental/family counterparts. "Was a prophecy made in this universe?"
Lily's face became a mask of pain as James Potter came up and pulled her close, which answered his question.
"Yes," Dumbledore said sadly. "A prophecy was made that could have applied to two children."
"Neville Longbottom and Harry Potter," Jason said.
Dumbledore nodded slowly, giving them piercing looks.
"What happened to your Harry?" Ginny asked softly.
"W-we were under a Fidelius Charm in hiding," James said softly. "Our friend Peter was our Secret Keeper."
"He betrayed you," Harry said softly, and they nodded.
"You-Know-Who came to our home with some of his Death Eaters. They captured Lils and I a-and You-Know-Who, h-he k-killed our boy," James finished with a hollow voice.
"Dumbledore, Mad-Eye, Remus, and I arrived and managed to save them, b-but not my Godson," Sirius said, his voice cracking.
"I'm sorry," Jason said quietly. "What about the Longbottoms?"
"They were attacked a couple days later," Remus said. "None survived. In fact, very few children born that year or the immediate surrounding years have survived."
Jason, Harry, Alicia, and Ginny exchanged startled looks.
"What do you mean?" Jason asked sharply.
"It wasn't even two years after Harry's and Neville's deaths that You-Know-Who took control of Britain," Kingsley said quietly. "His first act was to round up nearly every child born the same year as Neville and Harry, a-and have them executed. The only ones spared were his faithful Death Eaters, which only convinced more people to join him and sell others out, since they didn't know at first it was only children born that year they were rounding up."
The dimension hoppers eyes widened in horror.
That meant Ron was dead in this world, no muggleborns meant Hermione was either dead or still living as a muggle. No Seamus, Dean, Lavender, Parvati. . . Based on Molly's reaction and her glances, Harry suspected the Ginny of this universe was gone as well.
"Although it's possible some escaped," Remus said bitterly, "it's not extremely likely. Over the years they've hunted those who tried to run, and as You-Know-Who conquered the rest of the world slowly, he killed all those born in that year in those countries too, save for those who joined him, and even many of those met grisly ends that make people think they were set up to die."
"Unfortunately, you can only hide so long before slipping up," Sirius said bitterly. "Nearly everyone's been captured at least once or had some sort of run in, not including the amount of people who joined up or sold others out to make sure they would be okay. Kids just didn't stand a chance, especially when the Death Eaters were killing any kids around that age if they found them as well, not even bothering to check ages sometimes."
"When we say You-Know-Who controls the world," Mad-Eye said quietly, "we mean it. There are pockets in the United States that still are free of his rule, as well as a few countries around the world in South America, and Asia . . . well China mostly, and Africa, but not much. I think South America has the strongest defense since rumor is there is some sort of Alliance between several nations there that have banded together. Most of his army is in the United States, China, Russia, or fighting in South American countries, but he still has plenty to man other places."
"He started by taking over wizarding Britain," Kingsley said. "but it didn't take long for him to grow his army enough that he was soon taking over Ministries all across the world, especially since he had plenty of supporters in those countries as well, plus a large amount of people would rather just bend to his will rather than fight him. Right now, he's the self-proclaimed, but barely contested, Lord of the World."
"That egotistical bastard always did like his stupid titles," Jason said with a bitter snort, causing many to look at him in shock at his flippant insults of the megalomaniac.
"At this point, there are resistances to the regime in nearly every country across the world, but most are small and barely able to do much. Even if you managed to retake a country and put up the national magical borders, they'd only hold so long before You-Know-Who's forces retook it. The best hope we have is killing You-Know-Who, but even that seems impossible," Bill said. "He's obviously extremely powerful, knowledgeable, and skilled making it hard for nearly anyone to kill him in the first place, and since he has large numbers at his control, we can't even try to overwhelm him. Throw in the fact that his body has been destroyed twice now, but he just comes back. It's believed that he has to be killed by a child of the prophecy to many, which means many believe he's immortal. A ritual that could bring someone able to kill him was really our only hope."
"Who's managed to kill him temporarily so far?" Jason asked.
"Albus got him once," Lily said, "as did Kingsley. He didn't stay dead for long either time."
"Well, he's got horcruxes, so that tends to happen," Jason muttered.
"Did you say horcruxes. . . as in plural?" Dumbledore said aghast.
Jason nodded, as nearly everyone else in the room looked confused. The only other one who seemed to recognize the term was Mad-Eye and even he looked a little nauseated at the thought of plural ones.
"I suspected he might have created one," Dumbledore admitted, "but there was no proof, and I certainly had no way of knowing he had created more than one. There's just only so many ways of trying to achieve immortality."
"Um, what's a horcrux?" George (Weasley) asked.
"An object that one hides part of his soul in," Alicia summarized. "As long as the soul remains bound to this plane, the person cannot die. Creating one of the vile objects is horrifying enough, but this bastard is on a level on his own. Assuming yours is like ours, then he created six horcruxes, making a seven-part soul."
Muttering broke out as people began to understand, and many looked nauseated at Voldemort's crimes against nature.
"Until we destroy all the horcruxes, there is little point in trying to kill You-Know-Who," Ginny said. "I'm assuming you don't say his name because he put a stupid Taboo on his name?"
The summoners all nodded.
Jason and Alicia sighed. "Same stupid tricks."
"He did the same thing in your world?" McGonagall asked, and they nodded.
"We'll deal with it here in the same way we did back home," Jason said with a vicious scowl, that caused some in the room to shudder, wondering how they'd dealt with it back home.
"You said people believe that a child of Prophecy has to kill him," Alicia said. "Does that mean he made the prophecy public?"
Dumbledore nodded. "He made it public about five years after he took control, gloating in the fact that he'd killed all these children to make himself invincible. It only made people more eager to join him since they now thought he was invincible, and unfortunately, Kingsley and I killing him only for him to come back helped his claim of invincibility. While there are many people that would like to fight him, so many think it's a waste of time and are far more likely to turn you in to gain favor or privileges."
"Well, telling us about the horcruxes is a huge help, but how do we know you four are as capable as you seem to think you are?" Mad-Eye asked skeptically. "Just because one of you is James and Lily's kid doesn't mean squat."
The dimension travelers rolled their eyes. Mad-Eye was apparently the same no matter which dimension you found yourself in.
"Does anyone have a pensieve?" Harry asked.
Dumbledore nodded.
"While we can tell you a bit about ourselves it'll be better if we show you some of our memories and experiences so you know we can help and hopefully you'll be willing to let us take the reins on this war," Jason said. "We'd also like to see some of your memories for those who might be willing to share, and we're going to need to find out as much about differences between your world and ours as soon as possible."
"Let you take the reins. . ." McGonagall said in surprise.
"We'll also need as much intel as you have on You-Know-Who, his whereabouts and activities, and his forces, bases, supplies, sources of income, etc.," Alicia said, ignoring her. "We'll want that for here and for each country he controls in the world."
"We also need to know what resources, numbers, and bases of operations you and any freedom fighter groups you are in contact with have, here and across the world," Harry finished said.
Some people started looking a little more hopeful, while others still looked defeated, obviously not believing the dimension travelers would be able to do what no one else had been able to.
"Perhaps we should do this tomorrow after we've all gotten some rest, and you will have some time to settle in and decide what you will show us?" Dumbledore suggested.
Harry, Ginny, Alicia, and Jason looked at each other before they all nodded in agreement.
"Y-you can stay with us," Lily offered hesitantly, her eyes still on Harry, though glancing at Ginny every now and then. James nodded eagerly, though Sirius and Remus threw them cautious looks. "We have room for all four of you."
Some of the Weasley's looked like they were going to offer as well, many giving Ginny appraising looks.
Harry looked at Ginny who nodded with a smile, before he turned to Alicia and Jason, both of whom nodded their agreement.
"We'd love to," he said. "Thank you for the offer."
"Of course," Lily said, with a beaming smile.
**HP**
The dimension travelers were apparated by James and Lily to nice little cottage out in the countryside.
Lily was looking excited, glancing at Harry.
"We have one spare bedroom, and the couch pulls out into a bed, so you can all discuss who gets what," James said.
Jason looked at Alicia who nodded. "If you don't mind, Alicia and I have a wizarding tent that we can set up in your front yard?" Jason half stated, half asked. "That will keep your sitting area open and make your home a little less crowded."
"Sure, if that's what you'd like to do, we have no problem with it," Lily said. "Just make sure you come in for meals. I don't want you starving yourselves out there."
Jason and Alicia smiled, as did Ginny and Harry.
"I'm rather surprised you have something like that just on you," James said. "Do you always carry one with you wherever you go?"
Jason and Alicia nodded and wry smile. "We pretty much carry almost everything we own on us when we travel, since we don't really have a permanent home anywhere," Alicia said. "We'd actually just gotten back to England for Harry's party when we got pulled here."
"Why isn't this place under a Fidelius Charm?" Jason asked, looking curious.
"Well, no one knows where this place is and it's well off the beaten track, plus unplottable, so we don't have to worry about anyone finding us unless someone sells us out or someone grabs onto us while apparating," James said with a shrug. "Plus, the only people who we'd trust to hide us generally have other things they need to hide, so they are unable to be our Secret Keeper at the present."
"I'll start getting dinner prepared," Lily said cutting in. "You all can freshened up if you'd like or explore the area, though I'm sure it's probably familiar to you, Harry, and probably you Ginny. It's been in the Potter family for generations."
Lily frowned slightly, seeing the slightly sad and surprised look that appeared on Harry's face, but he nodded, putting his focus back on Lily and James. "That sounds great."
The two older Potter's went into the house, so Harry turned to the two Witchers.
"Making the bunker?" he asked
They both smiled at him. "You know it," Jason replied.
"Give us a hand?" Alicia asked.
Harry and Ginny chuckled and nodded, pulling out their wands. It took them ten minutes but they'd created a nice little bunker just like they'd done during the war, to house Jason and Alicia's tent and create a small common area outside of the tent, even if it was only the one tent in the bunker, instead of two.
"This the same tent we had during the war?" Harry asked with interest.
"No, it's one Jace and I got for our backpacking trip through Europe for our honeymoon," Alicia responded. "Though, we do actually have the tent we used during the war with us, and we even have Perkin's old tent as well."
"Why do you have all those tents?" Ginny asked in surprise.
"Well, Hermione didn't want Perkin's tent, and neither did Perkins, himself, so we just decided to take it so that we had an extra tent, similar to why we had the extra tent during the war, especially since we spend a fair amount of time in the field with our jobs. We decided to grab the bigger tent after that insurrection in Congo, when we really could have used more tents for a mobile base, and Izzy didn't need it for her Curse Breaking job, though I think she did go out and get herself a small tent like this one."
"There's a solid possibility we'll need a mobile base here," Harry said, "so it's actually extremely fortunate you have all those tents. What's the tent you got for your honeymoon like?"
"Kitchen, living room, library/office, potions lab, dueling chamber and home gym, and two bedrooms, and two bathrooms," Alicia answered. "So, obviously a gym added to the dueling chamber is different, and we have a dedicated room that is an office and library rather than just the living room, and obviously we have less bedrooms."
"I'm kind of surprised you added two bedrooms to this tent," Ginny said.
"Well, we wanted a room for if any of you visited us on our travels while we were in tents instead of hotel rooms, or if we decided to do a camping trip like we've talked about doing," Alicia said, "though with us supposed to be starting up that mentorship, we were considering adding some bunks to that room for whatever hitwizards or aurors join us for their apprenticeship."
"Not a bad idea," Harry said. "Just change out whether bunks or a queen size bed are in there depending on who's staying."
"Exactly," Jason said with a smile.
A half hour later, they all were in the Potter's dining area at the table.
"I hope you guys don't mind stew," Lily said, serving them all plates.
"Not at all. This looks great," Jason said with a smile. Alicia and Ginny nodded in agreement.
Harry was looking down at the plate in front of him with a hard to read expression before he slowly used a spoon to take a bite of the meal, his eyes closing as he savored his mother's cooking.
He opened his eyes to see Lily looking at him with a curious expression.
"It's very good. Thank you very much," he told her.
"I'm glad you enjoy it. You've probably had it enough though, so maybe you're tired of it," Lily said apologetically.
Harry sighed before giving her a sad smile. "I've never had it, nor have I ever been to this cottage, though it's possible I own it my world and just didn't realize it. You and dad died in my world when I was very young," he told her softly. "It seems that's the one major switch that caused the differences between your world and mine," he told her and James who were looking at him with sorrow.
"You never knew us?" Lily asked sadly and Harry shook his head slowly.
"You guys were killed in the attack on our home by You-Know-Who while I survived," Harry said.
"W-who did you grow up with?" James asked. "Moony and Padfoot?"
Harry grimaced while Ginny got an angry glint in her eye. "No, Wormtail betrayed us just like he did here, however when he ran immediately afterwards, Sirius tracked him down, and Wormtail set up a situation to fake his own death and frame Sirius for his murder, your deaths, and the murders of nearly thirteen other people who died in the explosion he used to cover his escape."
James and Lily's eyes widened in surprise, and Lily gasped.
"Sirius was thrown in Azkaban without a trial. I didn't meet him until I was thirteen years old, which was when I met Remus. He wasn't allowed to see me, being a werewolf," Harry said, and James paled. "I grew up with the Dursleys."
"P-Petunia?" Lily said in surprise. "But she hates magic!"
"There were. . . special circumstances," Harry said.
"What about Marlene though?" Lily asked. "Surely she was able to get Sirius out of Azkaban?"
"Marlene?" Harry said confused.
"Yes, Marlene Black nee McKinnon. Sirius's wife, and my best friend," Lily said.
"Wow, Sirius is married here," Ginny said in surprise.
"Marlene died a bit before the attack on us in our world," Harry told her. "I never knew her, and neither Sirius nor Remus has ever mentioned her much, though I'm beginning to think there was a reason for that now."
"Marls gone," James said morosely. "Sirius arrested, and Remus unable to see you. That's terrible."
"I-it wasn't great," Harry admitted, "but things got better once I went to Hogwarts."
"I'm sorry," Lily said quietly.
"It's alright," he said giving them a soft smile.
There was a slightly awkward silence before James said, "So what do you guys all do back in your universe?"
"I'm a Chaser for the Holyhead Harpies," Ginny said.
James brightened considerably. "A professional Quidditch player! That's brilliant!"
Ginny smiled. "I certainly enjoy it. I keep trying to talk Harry into joining me in the league, but he likes his job too much. I'll admit I like to use his training department, so there are plenty of benefits."
"You're good enough to play professionally as well?" Lily asked with interest at Harry.
"Yeah, I'm a fair seeker," Harry replied and glared when Alicia, Jason, and Ginny all snorted.
"Youngest player on a Hogwarts House team in a century, playing as a first year," Jason said. "Gryffindor never lost a Quidditch Cup while he was on the team, and he only lost one match and that wasn't his fault."
"Really!" James said eagerly. "That's brilliant. Oh, I wish we still had Quidditch here," he said fondly. "I always considered trying to play professionally."
"You don't have the Quidditch leagues anymore?" Alicia asked.
James's excitement faded somewhat. "Technically no. The purebloods that work for You-Know-Who have their own league that they can play in, but it's a private enterprise and you have to work for You-Know-Who to play or watch. Lils and I are wanted criminals, so we could never go see a match."
"That's depressing," Ginny said with a frown, and James nodded in agreement.
"Okay, so we have one professional Quidditch player. What about the rest of you?"
"I'm an auror," Harry said. "It's what I wanted to do and I'm quite good at it."
"He's brilliant at it," Ginny said proudly.
"Wow," James said impressed. "And you two?"
"I was an auror for the first couple years after the war," Jason said.
"And I worked as a mediwitch for St. Mungos for the same amount of time," Alicia said.
"Now, we are kind of freelance Aurors as our primary jobs," Jason said.
"We travel the world, taking contracts from other Ministries to deal with their dark witches and wizards or organized crime networks, kind of like what we'll be doing for you guys," Alicia said. "In between jobs, we'll usually take teaching jobs in countries that don't have permanent institutions like Hogwarts, or we'll temporarily help out in hospitals like St. Mungo's."
"Hell, we even helped out my sister on one of her curse breaking sites, for a short time," Jason said with a smile.
"That was a lot of fun," Alicia said with a smile.
"That sounds fascinating," Lily said intrigued. "That seems to be a very unique lifestyle. How did you start down that path?"
"We both love to travel," Alicia said, "and we both love to learn new things, so this was a way to travel the world, learning different cultures and different types of magic, while earning a living, and fighting the dark arts."
"Because of the war, the British Ministry was more than happy to help put us into contact with Ministries having issues with the dark arts. It only took helping a couple countries before we gained a pretty solid reputation, and we've been fine ever since," Jason finished.
"Don't let their ages fool you," Ginny said with a smile. "Those two are some of the most knowledgeable and educated people in the world, and both have a Mastery in pretty much every subject you can get a Mastery in, and nearly everyone you can't."
James and Lily's eyebrows raised at that.
"Wow," Lily said impressed.
"Ginny and Harry aren't too far behind, themselves, and that's only because they haven't tried to learn all the same things we have," Alicia said. "Our entire group of friends that helped us take down You-Know-Who all achieved Mastery level in many subjects. We pushed hard in educating ourselves to prepare for fighting him and his Death Eaters. We knew we were outmatched in the education and experience department, so we had to make up as much ground as we could, and quickly."
"That's still incredible," James said. "Sounds like you guys are just the people to get us out of this mess, even if we're not the greatest for getting you into in the first place," he finished a little apologetically.
"I'm not going to pretend to be happy about it, but what's done is done, and we just have to move on," Harry said quietly.
"Well, this shouldn't take too long," James said with a smile. "You guys already know where everything is, and what to do."
"It won't be the same," Jason said. "I'm sure most of the items and locations are the same, and some of those should be fairly easy, but it's possible at least one item is different, and it could be more, and with this world so much more firmly under Death Eater control, that'll introduce other issues into obtaining certain horcruxes and how we took You-Know-Who down last time."
"Oh," James said looking a little disheartened.
"Truthfully, I'm hoping my sister manages to figure out a way to follow us here, or at least contacts us," Jason said.
"Do you think it's possible?" Lily asked.
"If there's anyone who's smart enough to figure out how to get here without your spell, it'll be my sister," Jason said, "and probably our friend Hermione. Those two are brilliant, and if they can figure out how to get here, we can get some reinforcements."
"Reinforcements," Lily said slowly.
"Some, not much," Jason clarified, "but having another person that I know is capable of taking on someone of You-Know-Who's or Dumbledore's caliber and skill, and I fully trust to have my back, would be nice."
"And your sister can do that?" James asked.
"Yes," Jason said, with Ginny, Alicia, and Harry nodding in agreement.
"Well, then I hope she makes it through," Lily said simply.
"We should all try and get some rest," James said to the group. "I'm sure tomorrow is going to be a long day."
