Chapter 8

"So, what's today's lesson?" Becca asked excitedly, and Harry glanced up from his breakfast in amusement.

"You're going to get some practical experience with construction charms today," Ginny said, smiling.

"Construction charms?" Madelyn asked in confusion.

"You know the bunker that houses our tent?" Jason asked, and the three girls nodded. "We're going to make a giant version of that to create a temporary hospital or living space. It will be much more complicated, and this will be good for you girls to practice some spells that you could use if you ever need to go on the run."

"Alright," the three girls said in agreement, looking interested.

Harry grinned and then stood up. "Let's get to it. I'll have to leave at noon for a bit, and I want to try and get as much done as possible."

They all trooped outside and then Harry, Ginny, and Jason assisted apparating the three girls to the spot they had picked out. It was one of the sites that they had camped in while on the horcrux hunt back in their own world. A remote place out in the middle of nowhere far in the north. Nobody would stumble upon it on accident, especially hidden in a forest as it was.

Gabrielle, Madelyn, and Rebecca looked around curiously, finally turning to the dimension travelers.

"How'd you find this place?" Maddy asked.

"When we were on the run in our own world during the war, we found a lot of weird out of the way places," Ginny explained. "This is a good place to set up a base that people would be hard pressed to find."

"So, how does this work?" Gabby asked.

Jason stepped in and started explaining all the different spells they would use to siphon out and vanish dirt, creating a large enough area to use. He then talked about the conjuration, reinforcement, and concealment charms that they'd use to build the structure. They then got to work. It took a lot of time, seeing as they were making a bunker that would hold a dozen tents, as well as have an open area to house others, should it be needed.

When noon approached, Harry and Ginny left the group still at work and apparated to the meet up point, where they waited patiently for Snape to appear. They didn't have to wait long before the man apparated into the area.

"Severus," Harry greeted politely.

"Potter," Snape responded. "You have been busy," he added dryly. "I don't think I've ever seen the Dark Lord in such a rage before. The Dark Lord was . . . agitated after Malfoy Manor was destroyed, and he disappeared for a day before he returned, angry . . . but more focused."

Harry and Ginny gained satisfied smiles.

"I must admit, even I was . . . impressed with those traps you placed at the Vampire's headquarters," Snape said. "I don't know how you managed to destroy vampires so that they're shadows were imprinted in the walls, but it sent a clear message, considering nearly thirty vampires fell for the continuous trap you set which burned them to death, and vampires have started leaving the Dark Lord's forces in droves."

Harry smiled at Ginny triumphantly. "That's brilliant."

Snape nodded. "I'm not sure all will leave his forces, but word has spread through their own network, and emergency reports have come in reporting desertion from many vampires. Fifty vampires have been ordered to return as have thirty giants. Snyde, who has taken over the Department of Magical Transportation, is working on the very arduous task of importing 5,000 dementors. Nearly a thousand Death Eaters or supporters have also been ordered to return. You have caught the Dark Lord's attention, and he is determined to crush this new resistance."

Harry frowned. "How quickly before any of those reinforcements get here?"

"It'll be nearly a month before the giants can return, and likely around the same time for the dementors. They can't fly over the channel or ocean, so they have to travel by boat or plane, neither of which are easy to do. As for Death Eaters? They'll trickle in over the next two or so weeks, a couple hundred each day. The Vampires will arrive this week. He's also trying to bring in roughly a thousand trolls to augment defenses and the new Reactionary Forces."

Harry and Ginny exchanged looks. It was just as Jason and Alicia had predicted.

"What are Tom's plans to counter our actions?" Ginny asked.

"The Dark Lord has nearly emptied Azkaban of the dementors and have dispersed them over multiple locations. There are roughly five hundred at Azkaban, three hundred or so in Hogwarts, and then roughly seven hundred at the Ministry, in Diagon Alley, in Hogsmeade, and in four locations acting as a quick reaction force to any attacks. Each reaction force has one hundred dementors and thirty Death Eaters or supporters. Every major magical location, business, at village has been reinforced with Death Eaters, and every important Ministry official has been given extra guards."

"Who's the new Minister?" Harry asked.

"Russel Avery Sr." Snape responded with a sneer. "More of a thug, but with this resistance, the Dark Lord wants a decisive person who will lead with an iron fist."

Harry nodded thoughtfully. "Alright, do you have the locations for the reaction forces? Also, can you try and get a list of the locations that giants, vampires, trolls, dementors, and Death Eaters will be pulled from?"

Snape nodded, already pulling out several pieces of paper from his robes. "All the information you requested is here, as well as updated numbers for all locations, though I can't be completely confident in the increases of number of guards at Ministry homes."

Harry gave Snape an impressed look, and Snape gained a superior look. "Is there anything else you wish me to accomplish?"

Harry and Ginny exchanged looks.

"If you can, I would like you to retrieve an item from within the castle," Harry said.

Snape frowned. "You wish for me to get the diadem?"

Harry was surprised that Snape knew that much, but he guessed the Order hadn't hidden anything from him.

"I would," Harry confirmed. "You should be able to retrieve it without alerting Tom to your loyalties, so you will be able to continue to act as our spy and will hopefully still have an opening to kill Nagini if needed."

Snape nodded. "Very well. It will take a bit, but I should be able to get it done."

Harry and Ginny nodded. "Take your time. There's no immediate hurry," Ginny said.

Snape gave a curt nod, and then disapparated away.

"Well, that went even better than I had hoped," Harry said, and Ginny nodded.

"Let's get back to the others," Ginny said. "We can finish up the tent hospital, and then plan for tonight's operation."

**HP**

It took another hour to complete the very large bunker, but when it was done, they all felt a sense of accomplishment. The dimension travelers treated the three girls to lunch in a muggle village before returning to the Potter cottage to analyze the new information from Snape.

"I want to hit the brothels, but I'd love for tonight to be an absolutely devastating hit for Tom's forces," Jason muttered.

"It might be too overzealous," Alicia said back, and Harry glanced at the two of them.

"What might be too overzealous?" Ginny asked with a smile. "We can't read your minds, you two . . . well not if you don't let us."

Jason smirked. "I was thinking that we hit the four reaction forces and then hit the brothels."

Harry paused at that thought. "Tom would lose over a quarter of his remaining Dementors in country, and he'd lose over a hundred and eighty Death Eaters between all the sites. Possibly quite a bit more if many of the patrons at the brothels are off duty Death Eaters. Very ambitious."

"Each reaction force has nearly a hundred dementors and thirty wands though," Ginny said. "We'd be hard pressed to ambush them without a major fight occurring."

"It wouldn't be easy," Jason admitted, "but it would be a huge blow against Tom's forces and his operations. We can't only hit soft targets, we'll never win. Especially now that Tom is dividing up all his Death Eaters and Supporters making it so that there are no really soft targets anymore.

"True," Harry said with a sigh. "I think we go for it. We can get a vote from the Order, but I think we have to go for it. It would put Tom's troops and operations here into disarray, and then we'd be able to leave England and cause some problems elsewhere, leaving the fight to the Order for a bit."

"Yes, I say we go for it," Ginny said determinedly. "What's the saying? Fortune favors the bold. It's time to be bold."

Jason and Alicia nodded grimly.

**HP**

Jason walked into the room where the Order had gathered, Harry, Ginny, and Alicia right behind him. Albus was waiting in the center of the room, with those that were the leaders of the various factions of the Order. Albus was the overall leader, but it had become obvious that the Order was fragmented into several groups, each of which had its own leader that they would back, should Albus die.

There were those that were in the Order because of Albus or because of his cause and had no split loyalties like Mad-Eye and Minerva. Then there was James Potter's fraction, though all of them backed Albus loyally. Next was the Weasley/Prewett clan which seemed to defer to Bill Weasley on most matters and all backed Albus. There were those like Oliver Wood and Katie Bell who seemed not to care who was in charge, as long as the Order continued to fight. The last two major factions were led by Amelia Bones and Barty Crouch. Amelia's group had her family and about half of the former Aurors or Hitwizards. Good people, but less deferential to Albus. Crouch's group consisted of the rest of the former Ministry employees and those that were most eager for bloodshed and revenge.

"James was telling me that you would like to alter the plans for tonight's raid, is that correct?" Albus asked curiously.

Harry nodded, taking the lead for their group.

"We want to add to the mission. Severus gave us new intel this morning, and we wish to capitalize on some of what he reported before reinforcements start coming into the country," Harry explained.

"What reinforcements?" Barty Crouch asked gruffly.

"Tom has ordered fifty vampires, thirty trolls, five thousand Dementors, one thousand trolls, and one thousand wands to return to reinforce his position here in England," Ginny briefed succinctly.

All of the Order members except for James and Albus, blanched at the information.

"When will they get here?" Amelia asked quickly.

"The wands and vampires will likely all arrive within the next week or two, some trickling in each day. The Dementors, giants, and trolls are a month away, according to Severus," Harry said grimly.

"It'll be damn near impossible to get anything done with that many active Death Eaters hunting us," Bill groaned.

"That's why we need to strike hard before they get here," Harry cautioned, "which brings us to tonight. Tom has set up four reactionary forces designed to counter us. We would like to hit all four groups and then hit the brothels, as originally planned."

"What are the numbers we'd be facing?" Amelia asked shrewdly.

"One hundred dementors and thirty wands at each site, and then twenty or so wands at each brothel," Harry replied.

"I'm not sure we'd be able to pull that off," Albus cautioned. "That's a very bold outcome you are trying to achieve."

"I like it," Crouch said eagerly. "This will show those vermin who they are messing with. It will a sign of our strength! A sign of our power!"

"We care more about taxing Tom's forces than shows of power," Alicia said flatly. "He has roughly eleven hundred Death Eaters in Britain. Nearly half of those are set to guard certain locations at one time, and the rest are rotating between those guard positions, the Ministry, and resting. If we can pull this off, his Dementors population in country will be miniscule, and he won't be able to use them to target the muggles without weakening Azkaban, Hogwarts, and the Ministry, and he won't be able to run reactionary forces until his reinforcements arrive, and we plan to try and divert, ambush, or stall as much of his reinforcements as we can."

Albus looked around at the other Order members. "What do you think?"

"It's risky, and I fear the cost may be great," Amelia began before sighing, "but I think it is the right thing to do. We need to keep up the pressure."

"This is a chance to strike fear in the hearts of the Death Eaters!" Crouch said. "We must do it!"

"I feel the outcome is worth the risk," James said, and Bill nodded.

"Very well," Albus said, nodding gravely, and then he looked at Harry. "We will proceed as you have planned."

Harry nodded and then looked at Jason and Alicia.

"We'll split into two teams," Jason said. "We'll each take two sites, and one brothel before we'll consolidate our forces on the last brothel. Whichever group gets there first starts the attack, and the other will provide support. Harry and Ginny will lead one team, and Alicia and I will take another. Harry, Ginny, Alicia, and I will get eyes on both sites first before sending patroni to signal the rest of you to come in force."

"It will be as you say," Albus said calmly. "We will be ready to go, when you give the signal."

Jason and Alicia gave terse smiles to Harry and Ginny, and then melted into the shadows.

They appeared nearly a mile away from the site of the first reaction force. It was far enough away that nobody would Sense, hear, or observe them. Alicia and Jason both quickly transformed into their Animagus forms. Alicia's falcon form soared into the air, while Jason started running across the ground in his wolf form. In their animal forms, covering the distance to approach the enemy was fairly quick, and in their animal forms, the dementors would have a lesser effect on them.

Jason did the same from the ground, looking for openings in which to strike. He was pleased to see that the Death Eaters seemed rather nervous, despite their numbers. The Order's attacks must have actually gotten to the Death Eaters. The cold bite of the Dementors sapped at his strength, from where they flew, just above him, but he reinforced his occlumency shields, and held the despair at bay. He could see Alicia flying high, observing where all the witches and wizards were positioned, where the Dementors were, and where the gaps in their sight or security seemed most lax.

Jason howled, signaling Alicia, so she flew down to where he was waiting, and quickly transformed back into her normal form, before wandlessly casting a charm to help conceal her presence in case anyone was able to Sense their presence. Jason ran off to the other location that he'd decided to attack from, transformed and concealed his presence. He shot off a quick patronus to Alicia, letting him know he was in position, before they both sent Patoni back to the Order.

It only took a couple minutes, but soon the rest of the Order started apparating into Jason and Alicia's positions. Jason observed the Death Eaters, hoping they wouldn't notice, when a loud crack rang through the air as one of the Order apparated in far too loudly.

Fuck.

"Ventus turbinis vasti ignis!" Jason yelled, and a jet of flame flew from his wand as the wind started picking up forming a mini tornado wreathed in flame, that continued to grow as it spread towards the Death Eaters.

There were yells of shock, and screams of pain as the wind blew some back, and sucked others in. Those sucked in didn't suffer long as they flew into the tornado and immediately were engulfed in fire. He could see the flash of a chain lighting spell occur from the other side. Jason quickly placed an anti-apparation ward over the area, stopping the Death Eaters from fleeing, and he felt someone, likely Alicia, emplace an anti-portkey ward over his ward, stopping all escape from the area.

The Order started launching curses down on the Death Eaters from two sides, catching them by surprise. Unfortunately, the surprise didn't give them enough of an edge. The Death Eaters started returning fire, and soon the ordered line had collapsed, and the area was full of duels as the Death Eaters did their best to engage the Order. Jason Shadow Traveled forward, pulling his blade out as he appeared behind a group of three Death Eaters who had conjured a half wall and were accurately returning spells into the Order members on Alicia's side. Jason rushed forward, hitting one of them with a piercing curse to the throat, dropping the Death Eater and causing the others to stumble up in shock. Their reactions were their end as Jason slashed his sword, decapitating one, and then he spun to the right, avoiding a spell before he lunged forward and stabbed his blade through the remaining Death Eater's chest. The man gurgled out blood as he fell to his knees, and Jason removed his blade. He looked around and saw that the battle was going well, but it wasn't over yet.

Jason Shadow Traveled over to where the Order seemed to be needing the most help, and quickly used his blade to intercept a blasting curse while he conjured a block to take a killing curse intended for Savage. He quickly retaliated with a blasting curse of his own, dropping a Death Eater who had been focusing on an injured Dorcas Medows.

He looked up as the Dementors came down towards them.

"Destructo patronum!" Jason growled, and his phoenix patronus came from his wand, black as night, and quickly started passing through Dementors igniting them on fire as it connected. Their death screams echoing through the night.

He could tell the battle was almost over. He could Sense less active magic being thrown around, and he could Sense a great deal less people on the field of battle

Jason strode forward quickly, letting his patronus do it work, intercepting two cutting curses with his blade, casting destructive hexes when Alicia Shadow Traveled in behind the small group of remaining Death Eaters and started launching explosive curses into their backs. They tried to fight both groups, but it was too late, and they quickly fell.

Jason looked around the carnage of the battlefield, noting that most of the Order was still standing, but he knew that all of his group wasn't still mobile. Jason blasted away his anti-disapparation ward.

"Bring me the wounded or send up red sparks!" Alicia called, already striding forward towards Dorcas, casting diagnostic charms as she moved.

Jason looked around and Shadow Traveled when he saw red sparks, appearing near where Gideon Prewett was standing over a fallen Gawain Robards. Jason started performing diagnostic charms, and then started treating the man for his open abdominal wound and fractured sternum. It took a bit of time, but Jason was confident the man would survive. He blasted away the anti-portkey ward before turning Robards's shirt into a portkey and sending the man back to Grimmauld Place where Poppy would care for him. Jason moved with Gideon and Fabian over to where the rest of the Order was gathered. He noticed that other than Gawain and Dorcas, Kabir Patil, Aurora Diggory, and Sturgis Podmore were also missing. He looked at Alicia and mentally asked her about them.

"Aurora didn't make it. Sturgis and Kabir were port keyed back to Grimmauld. They'll survive," Alicia replied grimly.

Jason glanced at Amos Diggory sadly. The man was stone-faced and radiating pain and anger. Jason could tell that he could not be relied on for the coming missions. He'd rush off to kill as many Death Eaters as he could, his comrades be damned. Jason wondered if he'd survive the night.

"We've lost five in this skirmish," Albus said quietly. "Do we continue?"

"That'll be up to a vote," Jason said. "We all knew the risks, and with five less, it makes the next raid even harder, but I say we continue."

"I agree," Alicia said.

"Of course we continue," Amos snapped, looking livid. "We will continue this mission.

"Does anyone wish to not continue?" Albus asked.

Nobody spoke up. Jason and Alicia nodded at them and then disapparated away to the next location, going through the same process of scouting out the location in their animagi forms before settling down. Jason looked at the Death Eaters, knowing this would be a harder raid, with five less Order members in the fight.

Jason sent off his patronus to alert the Order, and then gathered elemental energy before pointing his wand down at the Death Eaters. The Order started apparating in, and true to Jason's prediction, Amos Diggory immediately started firing off curses, not even waiting for his comrades to appear or get their bearing, but Jason was ready.

"Catena fulgur!" Jason yelled, and a chain of lighting sprang from his wand, striking one Death Eater before it sprang to the next, blasting through six Death Eaters before fizzling out, all six dropping dead.

The skirmish commenced, but perhaps it was because the Order seemed more vicious this time after the losses from the last fight, or maybe it was that the Death Eaters had no crack of apparation to alert them this time, but the battle seemed to go by easier than the last one, and by the end of it, they'd only suffered two casualties, neither of which had been fatal. Molly Weasley and Fabian Prewett were both sent back to Grimmauld Place with several broken bones, but both would likely be fine within the next day or two.

"Do we continue mission?" Jason asked, once the Order had regathered after the second attack.

"Yes," Diggory growled out. "We're seeing this through to the end.

Despite the weariness in the Order's eyes and bearing, no one spoke up in disagreement, so Jason and Alicia nodded. Jason conjured a map of the first brothel they were hitting, and its surrounding area.

"We're going to apparate here, and here," Jason said, pointing to the north and west side of the building. "Severus's intel reports that there are ten guards that patrol around the building, though four are generally at the entrance at all times," Jason said, pointing to the entrance of the establishment. "The other ten will be in the building. Reportedly, seven are on the main floor, and three are in the basement. Albus, you'll take Minerva, Mad-Eye, Bill, Fleur, Filius, and Aberforth to the north. Arthur, you, Fred, and George will apparate to the rear of the building," Jason indicated, "and make sure nobody makes it out the back to either escape or to try and get around us. Barty, you'll take the rest to the west."

The three Weasley's nodded in understanding.

"Alicia and I will go for the entrance, take out the four Death Eaters there, and then breach the building. We'll seal off all the rooms, after letting any combatants out so that we can take care of them there, and then we'll take out all the enemy combatants in the building. The rest of you will take out the remaining guards outside, and then when we give the signal, will enter the building and start removing the prisoners. Though, be cautious that some people in the rooms might be unfriendly," Jason continued. "We'll clear out the basement and burn the building to the ground. When we appear outside, that'll be the signal for you all to head to the second location and start the assault. We'll join you after we've burned the first brothel down."

"This mission has three key tasks," Alicia said. "Kill or incapacitate all of the Death Eaters, remove all of the prisoners to the field hospital, and then burn the building to the ground. Any questions?"

Nobody said anything, so they all took a moment to get their bearings before disapparating to the set locations. Jason and Alicia appeared together at the front of the building. Jason took aim at the four guards who were slow to react. He put an explosion curse in between them, sending them all to the ground before he and Alicia finished them off with heart explosion curses. Alicia put up an anti-disapparation ward while Jason put up an anti-portkey ward.

Jason could sense the Order engaging the other Death Eaters that were patrolling around the building. He and Alicia rushed into the building, seeing seven Death Eaters that were heading their way bunched up, looking nervous, and they balked at the sight of them entering.

'Catenas fulgur!' Jason thought and once again a powerful yellow bolt of lightning left his wand striking the lead Death Eater before jumping to the next, finally ending after it went through all seven, and they dropped dead.

"This building is massive," Alicia said angrily, and she was right.

The main floor had nearly fifty rooms, and six hallways. Thankfully, they didn't have to search all the rooms for enemies, as people started opening the doors, likely wondering what was going on only to see the downed Death Eaters. The ones who looked scared and immediately shut the door in panic weren't likely to be Death Eaters. It made Jason and Alicia's job easy when six of the nearly fifteen doors down this main hallway had Death Eaters as their occupants, since the four men and two women immediately tried to curse the pair.

Jason and Alicia quickly blew through them, sealing off rooms as they went, so that Death Eaters couldn't enter or leave if they were inside. It took them five minutes or so, but they cleared the first floor, killing another five clients who tried to fight back.

As they sealed the last door on the main floor, Order members started entering the building, and started unsealing rooms one at a time to deal with the clients if need be and to start gathering the victims. Jason and Alicia cautiously proceeded down the stairs to the basement, where they knew they would find another twenty rooms. It was good they went cautiously because they soon found themselves fighting the three remaining Death Eater guards as well as another seven clients. While the odds were stacked against Jason and Alicia, they had no intentions of letting any of the Death Eaters live, so they decided to use some of their more advanced tricks.

Alicia shadow traveled, and Jason used his ethereal charm and nearly all of the enemy spells passed through him, striking the stairs, crushing them under the power of the ten different spells. Jason rematerialized and countered with an explosive curse which ripped into the lead client, who was surprised that Jason wasn't dead. His body was blasted back, causing another client and a Death Eater to stumble under the weight. At nearly the same time, Alicia had reappeared behind the Death Eaters and client, and launched a powerful jet of flames into the backs of their enemies, engulfing four of them. Of the remaining five enemies alive, two were still rising to their feet, and two of the three standing turned to try and fight Alicia.

Now, their enemy was caught in a crossfire, and they didn't stand a chance.

'Expulso maxima!' Jason thought, just as Alicia launched another blast of fire, and the five remaining enemies were engulfed in the explosion and flames. The walls of the hallway were cracked, and bowed in. The ceiling was showing signs of collapsing, so Jason quickly hit it with a stabilizing charm. It wouldn't hold forever, but it would buy them some time. He noticed Alicia doing the same to the walls.

The basement was just as much a labyrinth as the main floor. They were in a hallway that had eight doors in it, but about a quarter way down the hallway to the left, was an opening that Jason knew was another hallway, and about three quarters down the hallway, was an opening on the right that opened into a large open room that had another four doors in it. The hallway on the left would have two more hallways that branched off it further down as well.

Jason and Alicia quickly cleared the rest of the basement, sealing off all the rooms as they went before they made it back to the entryway.

"We need to get this done and get out of here in the next five minutes," Jason said anxiously.

"I know. We've been on site for too long," Alicia muttered.

The longer they stayed on site, the more likely someone might come along, notice what was going on and escape to alert the Ministry. They needed to clear the building and move on. They pulled off their Shadow Robes hoods, not wanting to frighten any of the victims.

Alicia unsealed the first room, and threw the door open with a spell, while Jason loosely covered the hallway, and watched her back. Alicia entered quickly, and Jason ducked into the room behind her.

"Gods . . . " Alicia's voice came horrified, and Jason glanced over before anger and horror surged through him.

Tied up to the bed was a teenage boy. He couldn't be much older than twelve or thirteen. His face was bloodied, and there were bruises and scars running up and down his naked body. His eyes were glazed over, and unseeing. He was beyond their help.

"Let's keep moving," Jason said softly, and Alicia turned away from the boy quickly and they moved on, desperately wanting to forget what they had just seen.

They started clearing through the rooms. The next four rooms had young women, late teens to early twenties. Two of them were definitely muggles. Jason and Alicia put them into an enchanted sleep and then used specialized portkeys to send them to the field hospital.

They continued on, finding both men and women. By the time they had cleared three quarters of the rooms, they'd rescued seven young women and four young men. The other three rooms occupants, a teenaged girl, a young man, and a young woman had already passed away. They ended up stunning three more clients who had tried to hold up in their rooms and offered no resistance. As much as they desperately wanted to kill the two men and the one woman, they wouldn't' do that to noncombatants.

They couldn't help the middle aged women in the next two rooms either and their window for when they wanted to be gone by was fast approaching. Jason moved rapidly to the eighteenth room, unsealing it. He busted through the door, Sensing two people in the room, a curse on his lips, but it died immediately when he glimpsed the occupants of the room. His wand arm dropped in shock as he glimpsed a horror he'd hoped he'd never see.

"Jace?" Alicia called in concern before she stepped into the room and gasped in shock.

Jason was looking at his wife and his sister in law, tied up over each other, Jamie on top, her head above the other Alicia's hips. Jamie's back was stripped, likely from a whip. Both girls were sobbing quietly, their body's shaking slightly. Jason could see blood dripping down from where the ropes had rubbed the two girl's wrists raw.

"P-please," Jamie sobbed. "W-we can't take anymore. N-no more . . . L-let my sister go!"

"We're getting you out of here," Alicia said softly, and Jason and she quickly cut the bindings on the two girls. They conjured some loose robes to wrap the girls in, and then put numbing charms on their injuries.

"I'm going to kill them all," Jason muttered darkly.

"W-what's going on?" this dimension's Alicia muttered, glancing at Jason's Alicia with hollow eyes.

"Alicia?" Jamie asked confusedly.

"We'll explain later," Alicia promised softly, and then she cast the charm, putting both girls under an enchanted sleep.

Jason stared at the two girls sadly, before he turned their robes into special portkeys and sent them to the field hospital. Jason's grip on his wand tightened, unable to get the unmistakable signs of rape on his wife's body out of his head.

"Come on, love," Alicia said quietly, grabbing his arm softly. "We'll get our revenge later," she finished, an unmistakable bite in her tone.

They quickly cleared the last two rooms, finding a middle aged man and woman that they portkeyed out before they Shadow Traveled out to the entrance of the brothel. The last of the Order members saw them appear and then quickly apparated away, knowing their appearance was the signal.

While Jason had intended to spare the few clients that hadn't fought back, removing them from the building before they destroyed it, finding this dimension's Jamie and Alicia had changed his mind. He had no intentions of letting anyone involved with this vile place survive. They would all pay.

"Maledicti ignis!" Jason spat out, and the fiendfyre sprung from his wand, and started engulfing the building.

"Let's go," Alicia said solemnly, and they both pulled up their Shadow Robes hoods, concealing their faces once again.

They disapparated, and appeared in the middle of a battle, both of them having to dive out of the way of curses that were sent their way. Jason glanced around, taking stock of the situation as quickly as he could. Someone must have tipped off the Ministry and the Death Eaters about the first brothel being hit because there were a lot of Death Eaters here, striking at the Order, who was scattering in the face of the ambush.

Jason felt anti-disapparation charms fall into place just as he heard a high cold laugh. He looked towards the direction of the sound only to watch in horror as Juliana's form was engulfed in green, and she dropped dead.

She might not be Jason's Juliana, but that didn't mean Jason didn't find it very hard to watch a woman that was like an older sister to him drop dead.

Albus strode forward to engage Voldemort, while most of the Order tried to retreat. Amos Diggory, Aran Chang, and Barty Crouch were among the few that seemed to be pushing the fight, but the rest were trying to pull back. Jason glanced to see the one's that had killed Juliana were a masked pair of Death Eaters. Jason and Alicia rushed to engage the pair, since Albus was dealing with Voldemort.

Jason figured he and Alicia would quickly handle the pair before they could help Albus and the Order escape, but as a chain lightning came his way, he realized he might have been a little too overconfident.

'Defendo!' Jason thought rapidly creating his strongest shield that took the spell and shattered, dispelling the lightning and Jason's shield. 'They're powerful,' Jason thought as he had to dive out of the way of a heart crushing curse.

Jason responded with two conjured arrows, and a bolt of cursed fire, but Jason's opponent simply spun out of the way of the two arrows and conjured a water shield to take the cursed fire. The resulting steam was flung towards Jason, transfiguring into acid as it came his way.

Jason's eyes narrowed, and he couldn't help the grudging respect that rose up. He transfigured the acid into water, and had it swirl around him and sent it back at his opponent, turning it into glass shards as it returned. The Death Eater raised a shield, disintegrating the glass shards before he launched back a vicious cutting curse at Jason's throat. Jason spun out of the way, and countered with a black bolt of energy. The Death Eater raised a shield, and absorbed the bolt.

Jason swore, and he glanced over to see that Alicia was in much the same case that he was. She was making no ground against her opponent. Whoever these Death Eaters were, they were very, very good, and taking care of them would take too much time.

Jason diverted and moved closer to Alicia, and noticing what he was doing, she hastened to mimic his motions. These Death Eaters might be very skilled, but dueling with a partner was a different situation, and there were few pairs that could match him and Alicia together.

They started coordinating their attacks, enhancing each other's spells, using any and every trick they could . . . but the pair they were fighting was just as well matched. Jason would launch conjured oil that Alicia would ignite, but one of the Death Eaters would conjure a water shield that the other would enhance.

All around them the Order was being pushed back under the numbers that the Death Eaters had brought forward. Albus was holding himself well against Voldemort, but Jason could tell the old man's age was catching up with him. Prolonged duels would not do him any favors. Unless they wanted this world's Dumbledore to die tonight, something needed to happen.

Three Death Eaters suddenly dropped as Ginny and Harry appeared on the field, casting quick cutting curses. Harry blasted apart the anti-disapparation charm over the area before he rushed to help Dumbledore. Ginny meanwhile unleased a volley of spells on several Death Eaters, giving the Order members time to disappear before she set her eyes on Jason and Alicia's opponent.

Two explosion curses ripped past Jason and Alicia towards their opponents. Deciding to capitalize on Ginny's help, Jason launched a jet of wind that Alicia enhanced. The wind blasted the two Death Eaters back, ripping off their masks in the process. Jason aimed to finish the pair off when he faltered. Looking back at him with hateful, almost manic eyes, was his sister, Isabelle, and himself.

"Jason! Leave!" Harry's voice cut through Jason's loss of concentration, and Alicia tackled him to the ground avoiding a killing curse that had come their way.

Alicia Shadow Traveled, bringing Jason with her, as they traveled away from the fight, but towards a now much more uncertain future.
