Chapter Two
Davis finds Serena banging her head on her locker after school the next day and he sighs, " I'll help you with your homework after we get back from Digiworld, okay, Serena. "
Serena stops banging her head and gets all of her books that she needed, making sure to avoid hitting Viximon with her books, then heads for the computer lab. Koromon had decided to chill in the computer lab, and Serena had made sure to leave him food. Davis and Serena were the first ones to the lab so they settle in and Davis starts to help her with her homework. Viximon jumps out of the bag and warns them that the others are coming. With Viximon's help everyone was able to get into the Digital World. In another dimension Tai is forced to distract Sensei Fujiyama so the others can go.
It was Renamon whom saved Davis from Drimogemon's sneak attack, Davis grabs his Digivice and calls out, " Digi Armor Energize! "
" Veemon armor digivolve to… Flamedramon, the fires of courage. "
Flamedramon deals with the Mojyamon that had just showed up while Gatomon tries to deal with Snimon, " Renamon, get to work. " Serena calls out, dodging a Twin Sickle attack. The twelve year old blonde then goes to distract Drimogemon, " Go find that damn tower. " Serena calls out, her years of dance and martial arts training coming into play. She lands a solid kick on the dark ring and it shatters while Flamedramon deals with the dark ring on Mojyamon and Renamon destroys the one on Snimon. That was when Cody and Yolei's digivices picked up on some signals.
" Davis, Flamedramon, Renamon, and myself will go find that damn tower, you guys deal with that, okay. " Serena says.
" You heard her, move it. " Davis says and the four race off, hunting for the Control Spire.
" Well, either one of those two would make an excellent leader for you new kids. " Tai says.
" Very true, they've realized that taking down the spires is the single most important thing that they can do, plus, once it comes down our digimon can digivolve. " Izzy states.
Davis and Serena both dive aside as a Tuskmon comes after them, " Digi Armor Energize! " Serena calls it out even as she rolls back to her feet, Davis mirroring her.
" Renamon armor digivolve to…Juéxīnmon, the determined warrior. "
" You two go on ahead, Flamedramon and I got this. " Davis orders.
Serena nods and manages to pull up a map on her digivice showing her exactly where the Control Spire happened to be. She smirks at this and decides that she was going to start going through her digivice and figuring out the different functions, she knew they could track other digivice signals and the Digi eggs too. Now this map feature was pretty sweet, it meant she could target those areas. She was also pretty sure that this model of digivice opened up the gate to the Digital World. " Juéxīnmon, the tower should be coming into view soon, let's demolish the damn thing. "
" I like the way you think, Serena. " Juéxīnmon says and smirks when she sees the tower, " Meteor Kick! "
The tower shatters from such a devastating blow, then the pair race back to Davis and Flamedramon. " Nice timing, ladies. " Davis says as Flamedramon removes the dark ring carefully so Izzy could analyze it.
" Hey, Dai, our digivices have a map of where the control spires are. " Serena says.
" Plus, we're both pretty sure they open up the gate to the Digital World. If we could get in after we got home we could take down even more towers. " Davis says.
" Exactly what I was thinking, we need to keep this Digimon Emperor on his toes, but I feel as though he's not our real enemy. He's a digidestined like us, someone has to be controlling him. "
" Meaning we need to find the puppet master behind all of this and act accordingly. " Davis states.
" Precisely, now I think we better go find the others. " Serena says.
They use the tracking function to locate the rest of the digidestined and then Biyomon decides to go back while Tentomon decides to act as their eyes and ears while they were gone. Like the others save for Patamon and Gatomon Biyomon ended up taking her in-training form of Yokomon. Cody's partner Armadillomon turned into Upamon, Yolei's partner Hawkmon turned into Poromon. Serena once again loads up Koromon and Viximon, then she and Davis head out. Serena pulling out her cell phone and calling Matt, " What's up, Serena? "
" I'm heading to Davis' to work on my homework and so help me those groceries had better be bought and put away by the time I get home or I destroy every hair care product you own. " Serena says.
She can hear him yelp and call something out to his bandmates, good, he was taking her threat seriously then. Davis chuckles as he can hear Matt say he was getting the groceries now. " Serena, I think you're doing those two bachelors some good. "
" If not for me the apartment would be in even worse shape. Plus, there would be no edible food in the house ever. " Serena says, rolling her eyes.
" Gotta admit take out is good. " Davis says.
" Yeah, but not every damn night. Plus, Matt can actually cook, whom do you think packs my lunch every day? " Serena retorts.
Davis had to admit she had a point. " You know, I'm thinking that we should train with our digimon, work on getting them and ourselves stronger. "
" Makes sense, plus, tomorrow evening I have my dance lessons, so I may not be able to go to Digiworld with you. If you absolutely need help then message me on the D-Terminal, okay. "
" Got it, Serena. " Davis says, they'd lucked out with her martial arts lessons, her instructor had given them two weeks off so all Serena had to do was go through her katas every day, which she did every evening before she went to bed. This also helped out with her dance routines as she made up her own katas of them as well.
They reach the Motomiya apartment at this time and Selena gives Jun Motomiya her patented screw me with and I will make you suffer look. This look made even Matt, the original lone wolf back down. Jun keeps her mouth shut as she knew Serena could and would bitch slap her if she said anything to upset Davis. " I'm going to be helping Serena with her homework, she's already called her older brother to let him know, we'll be in the kitchen, so do try to keep the noise down as you know Serena has ADHD. "
Jun nods mutely and Davis leads his friend into the kitchen where he sets to work doing his own homework and guiding Serena through hers as well. The digimon stayed in the book bags, making sure to stay out of sight. An hour later Davis is going over Serena's homework to make sure she didn't mess anything up when his parents come home. Three pairs of shoes near the door alerted them to the fact that young Miss Ishida was over again, plus the fact that Jun was actually silent.
Chikana Motomiya heads into the kitchen to start making dinner and she places a glass of chocolate milk and one of normal milk in front of the studying pair. Most people didn't realize exactly how smart Davis was because he didn't act like your typical nerd, he acted more like a jock. The fact that he would take the time to help Serena out with her homework would never even cross some people's minds, " Serena, will you be staying for dinner? "
" Depends on what you're making and what will be served at home. " is the blonde's answer.
Just then her phone rings and Serena answers it, " Groceries have been gotten and put away. Dad's home and we're having Thai take out. " Matt says without preamble.
" I'll be eating at the Motomiyas, okay. " Serena says and promptly hangs up.
Davis and his mother are both looking at her, " What, I hate Thai food, and that's what the takeout is tonight. "
Chikana chuckles, " Well, I'm making spaghetti with meatballs, along with mozzarella covered garlic bread with strawberry cheesecake for dessert. "
" Thank you whatever deity up there is looking out for me. " Serena says earnestly making the mother and son duo laugh.
While Davis is pointing out where she went wrong at certain intervals Mrs. Motomiya is working on dinner. Daiki Motomiya observes his son and the blonde realizing that odds were likely that he would have the blonde as his daughter-in-law. Davis was the only one whom Serena didn't mind touching her in the least and Davis was a very physically affectionate person. Plus, it was through her that he had gotten interested in martial arts and was now taking lessons at a different dojo, though during school he only had lessons every Sunday morning. During the summer was a different story entirely.
