Chapter Three

Davis blinks when Matt shows up with TK at the computer lab, " Hey, where's Serena? " TK asks.

" Dance lessons, if we need her then I'll send her a message on the D-Terminal. " Davis answers, Koromon was sitting on Izzy's lap currently while the others were getting ready to go.

" I forgot about those. " Matt admits.

" Matt, are you really that afraid of losing all your hair care products? " Davis asks him.

" Dammit, Davis, why did you ask that, right here and now? " Matt snaps.

TK looks at his brother and then at Davis, " What did sis threaten him with and why? "

Davis answers TK's questions and Izzy fights down a smile. Apparently Serena knew exactly where to aim when it came to her older brother. Kari smirks and looks at Davis, " Make sure to tell Tai this, okay. "

Matt stares at the Child of Light in horror, " Kari, you are so evil. Tai will never stop razzing me if he finds out. "

" I know, I figure you have razzed him enough over the years that he deserves a fair shot at razzing you back. " Kari states, it was two days later and she and TK had officially joined the second team of digidestined the day before after finding their Armor Digi Eggs.

Matt groans at this and starts banging his head on the door he was still near. TK smirks, " Hey, if you would just get the groceries when you're supposed to then you wouldn't have to deal with this. "

Matt glares at his brother and then they head into the Digital World. Elsewhere Serena is going through her warm up dance katas and making sure to keep an eye on Takaharo Yamaguchi, the class player. She'd already bent his arm painfully behind his back once for trying to corner her after class the one day. The blonde takes her place as class starts but makes sure to stay aware of the class bastard.

She races out after class is done and heads for her apartment, she'd shower there, and change. Forty-five minutes later she grabs Viximon and heads for the Digital World. " Digi Armor Energize! "

Once Juéxīnmon stands ready Serena fills her in on her plan and the vulpine warrior nods before heading off to destroy the tower while Serena goes to help the others. When all the Veggiemon that have captured the others are freed of their black rings Matt blinks, " What the hell just happened? "

" I did, Matt. Juéxīnmon is taking care of the Control Spire as we speak. " Serena states, " Now, how the hell did you end up in this mess anyhow? "

" Matt had us sneak in and then we got caught as we gave up the ruse too quickly. I wanted to go for an aerial assault that would have taken down the spire but no one wanted to hear my idea. " Davis says.

Serena rounds on her brother, the older one, " What, did you think just because you're a vet that you know better than anyone else. Did anyone even ask Davis is he had an idea? "

Everyone winces at this as the spire falls, " I'll take that as a no. Davis is our leader which means you actually listen to him, not just have him be a figure head. " Serena snaps, her words resonating deep in her soul and a brief flash of an image is seen, nine girls, two cats, and a young man all sitting in a room but the shortest blonde, while reading manga is hiding her flinches as seven of them speak harshly about her. Serena shows no outward reaction to that memory flash but what bugged her was the fact that in the memory she had seemed older even though she was short. Though that hair style had been awful, she much preferred her braid.

Juéxīnmon joins them just then and Serena checks out the spire situation, she smirks, " Since I'm here I figure I might as well destroy a few more spires and then my tutor will be helping me again. "

Davis nods subtly to show he understood and Matt sighs, that was her way of telling him that she would be going to Davis' or he'd be coming to their place. Matt blinks, " Davis, do you have an older sister? "

Serena grimaces, " Yes, he does and she is a spiteful girl. I have to glare at her with the one I use on you to get her to behave when I'm over there. "

Matt winces, he hated that particular glare, not even he could glare like that. If Jun was worthy of that glare then she wasn't a very good big sister. Matt got that glare if he even tried to go near Serena's chocolate stash for any of his dates. She got vicious when it came to protecting her chocolate.

Juuban:

Hino Rei snarls viciously at the Great Fire as she tries to find her bitch of a princess. If Galaxia hadn't interfered then the bitch would already be dead. Now they had to find her and kill her. Thankfully Mercury had a sample of her DNA and Pluto was even now impregnated with Small Lady. Why couldn't she find her damn princess, then again Galaxia was the one to hide her away. Still, the hime had to be found and soon, they needed the Crystal for Crystal Tokyo.

Odaiba, Ishida Apartment:

Serena and Davis both come out at her place, though Davis had nipped back to the computer lab to get his stuff first. Matt comes home to find them fully engrossed in their work, though Davis had called his mom to let her know what was going on. Matt set to work in the kitchen and makes brownies first, knowing his sister would appreciate a snack. Once they're in the oven he sets about making bacon cheeseburgers, shredded hash browns with cheddar cheese melted on them, and he makes a mini salad bar as he knew his sister hated onions and tomatoes, plus this way it would be easier to make a quick salad. He also makes some fresh lemonade too, knowing how much Serena loved it.

The pair finish their homework and start to go through their katas before they begin to spar. Matt had grabbed Koromon and brought him home along with Tsunomon. Thankfully their dad didn't have any problem with the digimon being there and a good point had been raised, if the real world was attacked while the second generation team was in Digiworld then it would be up to the others to fight back. Matt watches the pair spar briefly before turning his attention back to the meal he was making. Serena smirks when she gets three points on Davis first and he groans, " Hey, you're doing better, Davis and you started later than I did. " Serena says, going through her cool down exercises.

Davis does the same thing, " Yeah, but it's still annoying that I can't get that third hit on you. "

" I'm a dancer, remember. "

" I know and I'm still in pain from that one routine you taught me but the pain is receding the more I do it. Plus, it really is helping my game. " Davis admits.

" I know that, I run track too. Speaking of that I'm going to have to start my morning jogs again which means I have to get up damn early again, ugh. "

" What distance do you normally jog for? "

" At first I start off with half a mile round trip and then I add a half a mile every other day until I'm up to fifteen round trip, I'll probably up that to sixteen this year though. Pretty boy should join me on my jogs too. "

Davis thinks this over, that was actually a good thing to do, maybe he'd start doing that in the mornings as well. Plus, they needed to train their digimon too. They needed to make sure that they were in tip top shape as their enemy would most likely be strong. As they sit down to dinner, the digimon having bowls of food and water set up for them, Serena reflects on her memory flash while holding up her end of the conversation. She knew that whatever happened involved that young man and those eight other girls.
