Chapter Six

Serena curses the one whom had the idea to come to this damn mechanical city, " Juéxīnmon, go take out that damn tower, it's the only fucking way we'll even be able to begin to make any fucking head way here. " Serena calls to her partner even as she shatters another black ring. She was thanking her father for paying for those martial arts lessons.

Just then a retreat is ordered, but not by Davis, everyone except her, Kari, and their partners make it through because the TV in that area was destroyed.. Serena was immediately on her D-Terminal to Davis, wanting to know why the fuck a retreat had been ordered to begin with.

Real World:

TK pales when he realizes his sister and Kari didn't make it back, Tai and Matt were going to go ballistic. Not to mention Davis was already looking murderous as he hadn't wanted to retreat to begin with, not to mention he didn't want to go through until the rest of his team was through. Yeah, he and the others were all in deep shit any way you looked at it. TK calls Matt while Davis calls Tai and Izzy to inform them of the situation. Davis was not going to leave the older genius out of the loop, that would just be insulting.

Tai, Izzy, and Matt all reach the computer lab at the same time, " Who's idea was it to retreat? " Matt asks.

" Mine, Yolei, and Cody's, there were too many Guardromon to deal with. " TK says.

" Juéxīnmon was already taking out the control spires in that city, TZ. Did you see your older sister running from that fight, hell, she's probably still fighting off the Guardromon, as they probably won't be able to get out of that city until the manage to take out all the spires. Serena knew what I wanted done. Once again my opinion wasn't respected, the going got tough and you three just quit. We'll never win if you keep that kind of attitude. " Davis snaps.

TK flinches at this, that had been directed straight at him as the Child of Hope he should know that there is always hope, even when things seem their bleakest. Hell, it was down to him, Angemon, and Kari there for a while against Piedmon, the last of the Dark Masters. Tai had damn near killed himself to fight Piedmon and buy time for Matt to get his head out of his ass and help them. He hadn't let Izzy or Kari help him in that fight either.

Juuban:

Naru puts an impassive look on her face behind the counter of Osa-P Jewelry as one Aino Minako approaches her. " Hello, how may I be of service to you today? " Naru greets her just like any other customer.

Naru sees the evil glint in Minako's eyes, " Need I remind you, Aino-san, that the security cameras are on, and I will call the police if you threaten me in any way. "

Minako curses this, Naru was not one to take lightly. She would respond to threats with legal action and the senshi were already in enough trouble as all of Japan loved Sailor Moon. How that footage got out none of them could figure out. Datamon is watching over everything very carefully, he would not allow any harm to befall his partner. " I'd like to look at your orange topaz selections, please. "

The manager of Crown Game Center had banned the senshi and Kamen from his establishment, he too had worked out their identities and was pissed at what they had done to his in all but blood little sister. He had nearly torn off Mamoru's head for what he had done with Uranus, running her through, that was deplorable on so many levels it wasn't comprehensible. Sailor Moon had saved all their asses more than once and how was she repaid, betrayal!

Digital World:

Serena keeps destroying the black rings while Kari and Gatomon just hide. The child of Determination just rolls her eyes at this, she was not going to sit around and wait for a rescue, dammit. She was no fucking damsel in distress! At that thought several flashes of Sailor moon being saved by a man wearing a tuxedo, in a top hat, throwing roses, and giving corny speeches goes through her mind, thankfully this didn't stop her from fighting. Well, that just about confirmed that she had been Sailor Moon, now all she needed to know was why she had lost her memories and what had happened to make her younger than she should be.

" Serena, are you insane, retreat. " Kari cries out.

Serena smirks and leaps onto a Guardromon, " Like hell I will, Kamiya. I will not run from this fight. I will not wait around for the others to rescue me. Be fucking proactive for once! "

Kari blinks at this as Juéxīnmon levels another tower in the city, the duo of Determination weren't just sitting on their laurels, they were acting. Kari had always been protected whenever she came to the Digital World, she didn't know how to take the reins herself and chart her own course.

Real World:

Davis is just barely managing to keep his temper in check while Izzy looks for the Digi Port closest to Serena and Kari. He was really going to have to lay down the law with his team. " Davis, was the situation hopeless? " Tai asks.

Davis snorts at this question, " Fuck no, especially when you take into consideration that for every one ring Halsemon, Digmon, Nefertimon, and Pegasusmon took out Serena and Flamedramon were taking out ten. Juéxīnmon had the job of destroying the spires, then certain individuals got scared, and turned tail and ran. I can definitely see why I inherited the Crest of Courage. Sure, I was scared but I didn't want to freaking run from the battle. Tai will be coming with me, the rest of you need to reflect on the fact that I am the damn leader and Serena is my second. If I do have a third it would be Cody. Yolei, you're last in the chain of command and even then command will go through the older kids before it reaches you. "

Yolei flinches, that there told her how much Davis trusted her to lead if he couldn't. " I've found the port, if Serena has her crest active then digivolution will be possible even near the spires according to Joe. " Izzy says.

Even as Davis, Tai, and their partners head in Serena's crest has started to glow purple, a brilliant amethyst in comparison to Izzy's crest which was a regular purple glow. Serena's determination to keep fighting was giving her and her partner strength. Even as she hears the explosion further away she keeps fighting while Kari gets captured by Andromon. Serena curses and blitzes over there, removing the black ring even as Tai, Greymon, Davis, and Flamedramon arrive.

With Andromon and all the digimon working together all of the spires were taken down relatively easily. " I'll make sure the Emperor can never control us again. "

After they've said their good byes they head for home. Serena and Viximon collapse upon re-entry to the real world. Matt chuckles, " Care to help me get her home, Davis, I already called your mom and told her you were going to be over anyhow. "

Davis nods and gathers up the in-trainings and his and Serena's stuff. Today had been a long damn day, all he wanted to do was sleep.
