Chapter 15

The next day Davis, Serena, Kari, and Cody could be found at the Ishida apartment, Serena had the port set up and ready while the others kept their D-Terminals in easy grabbing distance. They knew they could be called upon at any moment and hoped to hell that Ken hadn't come up with any new tricks. Serena was more than ready to support them with her Crest. She might even be able to work through TK's crest though she hadn't tried that yet. Hopefully now wasn't the time to experiment on that either.

" You think they'll be all right? " Cody asks.

" As long as they're in a spire free zone they'll be fine, but we had to mix it up. We cannot afford to be predictable. " Davis states.

" Davis is right, Ken is way too smart to not notice a discernible pattern, that's why goggle-heads like Davis and my bother are so valuable, they don't think in conventional ways. " Kari states.

" Which is how people like Ken think. That would be the main reason Tai named Davis leader then, because he knows that Davis can and will get the job done. " Cody states.

" Damn straight, little dude. I am not about to sit by idly while Ken is doing who knows what to the Digital World. If we could find his base then we could take the fight to the coward and get him on our side where he belongs. " Davis says, currently doing push-ups. He and Serena were constantly training in order to stay in shape.

Serena was doing sit ups at the moment, before she goes into a walkover and starts to go through one of her dance katas. Her dance and self-defense instructors had both been very understanding about her guidance counselor incident and were letting her study on her own, besides she was due to go up a level with her martial art anyhow. Her sensei would test her alone. Mostly since she would have to come on a day he held beginners classes for her testing.

" Maybe I should start taking self-defense lessons. " Kari muses out loud.

" Would your parents actually allow you to? Do they want you to be a traditional Japanese female whom relies on a male for everything, including her own defense? " Davis asks her.

Kari mutters something very un-lady like under her breath, Kari was beginning to see that being a damsel was not as glamorous as her mother had made it out to be. If it had been left up to her then she would have just hidden in the machine city, instead Serena had been there and they had fought to free themselves. " I'll deal with my parents and if not then you two could teach me the basics, right? "

" I can teach you some dance routines as dancing and karate are both very similar in movement and nature and not that prissy ballet dance either. " Serena tells Kari.

" Very true, her dance instructor is also a black belt so she created her dance class to slyly teach kids how to defend themselves, or to supplement the training others were already getting. It had to be hard for her to do, but she knew that there were parents like yours that still raise traditional Japanese girls and that times are changing, these girls need to be able to defend themselves other than just aiming below the belt. " Davis says.

Digital World:

Matt, Joe, Gabumon, and Gomamon all moan when they see where they are. " Why is this place still in existence? " Joe asks.

" Hey, this is that diner that DemiDevimon nearly kept you trapped at for perpetuity. " Tai says, finally recognizing the place, it was also the first time WereGarurumon had been seen, due to Joe selflessly sacrificing his own well-being for that of TK's.

" Aw man, I was nearly Veggiemon paste that last time we were here. " TK says.

" When was this? " Mimi asks, as Sora had been following Tai, TK, Agumon, and Patamon at the time.

" Just before Tai and I came to get you, and Matt and TK went after Izzy. " Joe says, " I was working for Digitamamon for months of Digiworld time after we all separated. "

" Oh, I guess that makes sense. We did all have adventures that the others wouldn't know about during that time. " Mimi says.

Izzy shudders, he'd nearly given up his curiosity for good, would have if not for Pabumon, Tentomon's fresh form. Vademon had nearly tricked him into giving up what made him, him. Not to mention he'd nearly thrown away his crest, tag, and digivice for good. That had not been a good time for him. DemiDevimon had really worked a number on Sora as well. They enter the diner, reluctantly for the friendship and reliability duos, and make their orders. Michael had never had to deal with anything like the original seven Odaiba Digidestined had to. He and Betamon decide to take a wait and see approach. TK's D3 had picked up on a Digi Egg, so they were going to eat and then hunt for said egg.

Thankfully they could use Digi Dollars this time and then they set to work on hunting for the egg. The map in TK's D3 said that this area was spire free, so their partners could digivolve if necessary and Serena was one text away as well. They were all hoping that this egg wouldn't be for Yolei; as she was nowhere near ready for it. That was when Gorillamon showed up, a different one than the one that had gone after Serena at that. Betamon digivolves to Seadramon and Palmon digivolves to Togemon to handle that problem, then they find the egg. Mimi is stunned when her digivice glows the color of her crest and then turns into a D3, it had red grips and a green body.

" Welcome to the club, Mimi. " TK says.

" Palmon, you can armor digivolve now, question is, what will your armor form be? " Mimi says, she was excited, now she could open the ports whenever she wanted to. She wouldn't be dependent upon Kari or one of the others coming to get her.

" I think we're going to find out, Ken's here. Digi Armor… Energize! " TK calls out.

Mimi whips around, her body language turning hard and unforgiving. Davis had been right when he called this a war. Sure, Ken was being used, but she couldn't think of that right now, they had a job to do, " Digi Armor… Energize! "

" Patamon armor digivolve to… Pegasusmon! Flying hope. "

" Palmon armor digivolve to… Argowomon, the Sincere leafy warrior. "

Ishida Apartment:

Serena freezes suddenly, " They're in trouble, though they don't know how much, I can only tell because one of the things I stand for is hope, I can sense things through TK. Didn't think it would be possible but, I really should know better by now. "

" How bad will it be? " Davis asks her.

" It's a combination of what I can sense through TK and the gift of precognition I received from Reianna in my last life. "

" In other words, you don't know, only that it will be bad. " Davis says.

Serena nods at his summation of her explanation, " Keep an eye on things through TK, if need be we'll head in and start cracking some heads. " Davis says finally.

" Makes sense, Sailor Mars has always been known for having psychic powers. " Cody says and then he freezes, " Wait, how did I know that? "

" You must have been a part of the Silver Millennium and pretty high up too, or were friends with someone high… " Serena trails off as new pathways in her Silver Millennium memories open up, " I am going to kill Queen Serenity IV again when I finally see her! "

" What did she do, Ren? " Davis asks.

" Gaea. " is all Serena says to him. Those three words were enough for Davis though.

" Scheiße, she just had to try and make things go the way she wanted them to, huh? Why the hell is that bastard in possession of my Crystal? " Davis asks, gold flashing in his eyes.

" I don't know, but she stopped my call from reaching my true prince. No way in hell would 'Nity contact him to find my Crystal. " Serena says.

A green and purple glow surrounds her just then and the spirit forms of Jupiter and Saturn could be seen, " We remember now too. The fact that she was able to pull something like this doesn't bode well at all, Usagi-chan. " Jupiter says.

" Agreed, Usa-mama, you all must be extra careful now. If she even catches one hint of Davis remembering his Silver Millennium past then things will heat up and Sailor Moon will have to make a comeback. " Saturn adds.

Serena curses, " Well, I did free my broach of all of the spells for control she had placed upon it. Sailor Moon doesn't work for the crown, she works for the people. It just so happened that the high princess and Sailor Moon happen to be one and the same this time. That was part of the problem the others had with me. I put the people of Juuban first, as it should be. I fight for the people, nothing more, nothing less. "

" Of course, Sailor Moon always fought for the people and was never answerable to the royal family because she was to protect everyone from the royal family if it came down to that. " Saturn says.

" That actually makes a lot of sense as the Moon ruled over every planet save Earth. " Cody admits.

" Hey, I would have joined the Earth with the Silver Millennium as I was damn well going to marry Ren, but something or someone interfered, I just can't remember what. I do know that I'll be taking my crystal back from Endymion soon. Gaea chose me as the Crowned Prince of Earth not my horn dog of a brother. " Davis snaps, oh he was coiled tightly right now.

Ken would not want to get anywhere near his worthy adversary at the moment, as Davis was likely to go off on whomever got in his way. Not that he could be blamed, what with what he had just discovered. One thing was certain Endymion would be meeting a very nasty demise just as soon as Davis could get his Terran powers trained up again.

Digital World:

" Wind Mane! " Pegasusmon says, launching his attack.

" Imprisonment! " Argowomon calls out.

Ken had brought along a BlueMeramon this time and it was making things very hard on the two armor digimon to put him down. Argowomon did not want to delete BlueMeramon if she didn't have to. " Shooting Stars! " Pegasusmon launches off another attack.

" It's just no good, " Tai murmurs, " Sora, send a message that we need Serena here, now. Her crest can give us the edge. "

Before Sora can do so TK starts to glow yellow, the color of his crest and the older kids digivices are reacting again, " Gabumon digivolve to… Garurumon! Garurumon digivolve to… WereGarurumon! "

" Agumon digivolve to… Greymon! Greymon digivolve to… MetalGreymon! "

" Biyomon digivolve to… Birdramon! Birdramon digivolve to… Garudamon! "

" Tentomon digivolve to… Kabuterimon! Kabuterimon digivolve to… MegaKabuterimon! "

" Gomamon digivolve to… Ikkakumon! Ikkakumon digivolve to… Zudomon! "

" Betamon digivolve to… Seadramon! "

" Vulcan Hammer! " Zudomon calls out.

" Wing Blade! " Garudamon's attack sails in right after Zudomon's.

" Giga Blaster! " MetalGreymon was quick to follow that attack up as well.

" Electro Shocker! " MegaKabuterimon fires off immediately after MetalGreymon.

" Wolf Claw! " WereGarurumon sends his attack on the heels of MegaKabuterimon's.

BlueMeramon goes sailing back from the onslaught of all of these attacks. Tai smirks, they were the original team for a reason and now TK could bypass the Dark Digivice. This was turning out to be a very good day, " Izzy, opponent's level? "

" Ultimate, explains the spiral on his arm. BlueMeramon is an Ultimate level data and virus hybrid mix Nightmare soldier flame type digimon. His flames are so cold they burn as all of his attacks are cold related. " Izzy recites from his laptop. He loved that Digimon Analyzer that Gennai had given him, plus he'd upgraded it so he could accept information from D3's as well.

Tai groans, great, " Matt, we need you to you know what. "

Matt's eyes light up, " WereGarurumon! "

" Got it. " WereGarurumon calls out and reverts back to Gabumon.

Ken blinks, what were they doing? Why go back to rookie level anyhow? It just didn't make any sense. Matt's digivice starts to whine and vibrate at a faster rate while glowing blue and silver, " Gabumon warp digivolve to… MetalGarurumon! "

Ken's eyes widen in comprehension, that Gabumon could reach the Mega level which was why he had reverted, so he could go to his highest level. The first goggle-head was actually a brilliant tactician. He'd said something innocuous to get across what his plan was so he wouldn't be able to interpret what the plan was. This older goggle-head was a danger to his plans as well. " Metal Wolf Snout! "

BlueMeramon gets blasted back and gets up on to one knee, counter-attacking, " Ice Phantom! "

" Metal Wolf Claw! "

At that BlueMeramon bursts into particles of data and Ken stares in shock, he had never suspected that they had mega level digimon at their disposal nor had he suspected that any crest power could bypass his Dark Digivice's signal blocker. This fight just got that much more difficult. He had no way of knowing if any of the others had a mega form or not that they could access.
