Chapter 19

After school that Monday, fortune shined upon them as Mimi was able to meet them in Digiworld and Serena had taken her Martial Arts as high as she could take it. She'd only have to go back for some sparring and to teach the occasional class of beginners. Not every twelve year old managed to earn the highest rank black belt out there, but Serena had done it, not easily but she had. Her dance class had been canceled for two weeks because the instructor was going to be attending her sister's wedding. The spot they ended up in this time looked like it hailed from the Edo period in Japan. While Mimi and Palmon deal with Ninjamon Serena spirits off to deal with the Control Spire with Amiciziamon, the defender of Friendship while Davis, TK, Kari, and Cody deal with ShogunGeckomon until the tower can come down.

All in all that had been a nice break from their tower destroying sprees. Serena is startled when Davis pulls her up onto Raidramon and then checks out the map on his D3, " Amiciziamon, we're heading off to liberate another badly controlled area. "

" Coming, Davis. " Amiciziamon calls back to him and her partner.

" Guys, let's check the map out and see what area is close by we can liberate, all right? " Mimi suggests.

Odaiba Middle School:

Izzy shakes his head when he notices Davis and Serena heading off to another bad off area and messages Matt to come. The gate was still open, once Gennai realized that they were going to be going in and out all the time he kept the gate open on Izzy's home computer, the Ishida home computer, and the one they had first used to return to the Digital World. Izzy just needed to enter the final coordinates. Matt shows up with Tsunomon seventeen minutes later, " Sending me in to help out Davis and my little sister. "

" Yeah, I really want to keep Tai and WarGreymon in reserve. Plus, Serena will have her crest active while in that bad of an area. Ready to go, Matt. "

" Oh, I am all right. " Matt says and holds his digivice up while holding on to Tsunomon. Once in the proper sector Matt has Gabumon immediately Warp Digivolve up to MetalGarurumon No sense in beating around the bush and he starts taking out the rings just as fast as he can aim his digivice. He and his partner start fighting their way towards where all the commotion was coming from though MetalGarurumon did take out any spire that came into his sight.

Matt dodges an errant fire ball even as he continues to take out the black rings. Izzy discovering that they were the same composition as the gears had been truly fortuitous. That meant that the older kids could actually help out, though they always left some behind just in case of an attack in their world. Serena still didn't know where she intersected with Digiworld, because they all had at some point. It had probably been when she was Usagi, but the information was there, just waiting to be found by her.

Emperor's Base:

" Dammit, I must find a way to nullify these damn crests, thing is my own Determination to stop the crests is only powering that damnable female blonde. " Ken rants.

Wormmon sighs and starts praying that Davis and Serena can save his master, his partner before it was too late.

Different Digiworld Sector:

Argowomon, MagnaAngemon, Digmon, and Angewomon all set to work while Mimi, TK, and Kari start to destroy the rings. Cody made sure to find somewhere outside of the line of fire, both friendly and non, since his D3 hadn't been the previous model, like the others had been. " I'm kinda enjoying this. This is a good way to relieve stress. " TK says.

" Davis and Serena certainly use spire destruction for that. " Kari ripostes, snorting.

" Well, Davis does have powers from a previous life to re-master. " Mimi points out to the Child of Light.

" I know, and believe me, pissing off him was never a good idea. Pissing them both off at the same time is tantamount to suicide. " Kari states.

Cody sends her a deadpan look, " No, that's when you prepare for Armageddon. "

Kari rolls her eyes at this, though the Inheritor of Knowledge had a point with that comment.

Friendship, Miracles, and Determination's Sector:

Serena grins widely as she leaps from digimon to digimon destroying the rings, she was also mastering her new trick with her crest power at the same time. She could also feel Friendship covering the area and knew that Matt had been sent in as back up. That was a very good call on Izzy's part. Davis was following her lead on that, as their partners were off destroying spires again. By coordinating their efforts they were taking the spires down faster than Kenny-boy could put them back up. Then there was the fact that she and Davis generally took the worse areas and left the other areas to their not as fighting inclined friends.

" Hey, Ren, free tonight? "

" Well, you did manage to help me get my homework done in school today, you don't have practice or a game. I shouldn't have a problem, why? " Serena asks.

" I need you to help me out with my other training. " Davis admits.

Serena smirks, " Love to, Dai. "

The girl with her blonde hair back in a braid leap frogs across the battlefield, destroying rings as she went until she lands on MetalGarurumon, " Hey, bro, Dai wants my help with his special training tonight, any conflicts that you know of? "

Matt shakes his head at her antics, " Not that I know of. I'll let dad know, as he is up to date with what is going on. "

" All right, guess I better get back to Dai now. Stay frosty, bro. " Serena replies and makes her way back across the battlefield even as Matt and his partner continue to destroy spires and the rings. She takes a different path and destroys even more rings on her way back, " Dai, I'm free tonight. "

" Matt was sent as our back up, huh? Cool, now, let's free this sector! " Davis calls out.

Ishida Apartment, Midnight:

Davis winces and is just glad he had left note saying he would be training with Serena and may end up staying at the Ishida apartment with the doorman, only to be given to his mom or dad. Jun would have torn it up without a thought to get him in trouble. Serena rolls her shoulders and doesn't quite manage to suppress her wince. Davis goes to get the Capzasin cream to rub into her shoulders. Serena needed heat for her sore muscles while he needed cold. The different topical creams were kept well stocked in the Motomiya, Ishida, and Kamiya apartments as Tai, Davis, and Serena spent a lot of time at all three places.

Once they've seen to their aches and pains they rustle up a sandwich a piece, plus some fresh cut pineapple so they could get some food. Once that was done they ended up curled up together on the couch where Hiroaki found them twenty-five minutes later as he comes home from work. With a sigh he covers them both up with an afghan before making himself a snack and heading to bed.
