Chapter 22

Ishida Apartment:

Serena rolls her shoulders as she heads for the shower after her jog. Matt watches her go and sighs, something was bugging his sister, he just wished he knew what. Viximon looks at him, " Don't worry so much, Matt, she'll talk when she's ready. She trusts you. "

" I know that, Viximon, it's just we can both see that something is bugging her. " It's been a week since the Myotismon revelation. Though it was time for the camping trip they had decided upon. Hiroaki was thankfully able to take them camping and Davis had left a note in his mom's purse, even now Davis was getting everything he needed gathered up and the kids would take turns coming back at the campgrounds to make the story more believable. Mimi was being covered for by Michael and Sam as the American kids were also going camping at the same time, Sam's dad being the one to go with them.

They knew finding Ken's base and then saving Ken had to be a priority. They may have to do this without Yolei but, they knew they could. Plus, Matt and Tai would both be at the Campgrounds so they would have more Mega back up if need be. Once Serena has her shower taken and is packed up for camping the girl lays back on the couch, Viximon jumping up on her stomach. Serena absentmindedly pets her partner mulling over her current problem. She was getting weaker and she didn't know why. Only her Crest of Determination was sustaining her so far.

Saturn and Jupiter were both frowning heavily, what was happening to their hime anyhow? Why was she getting weaker? None of them had any answers though when the Kamiyas and Davis arrived the Light child and Miracle child both curse under their breath. Tai blinks at this, " What's wrong? "

" It seems someone has made it so Serena can't survive on Earth without… "

" Without what? " Matt asks, still drying his hair after his shower.

" Without a direct connection to the Earth's power. Dammit, I am going to kill that damn bitch again. Either it was her or Endymion cut her off. I don't dare connect like that until I have my power fully mastered, I could do more harm than good. " Davis answers.

" Wait, is anyone here full Terran, this life and last? " Tai asks.

" No, Matt's part Venusian, explains the vanity, you're not either Tai. Kari's Lunarian as well but she's third in line for the throne so this isn't an issue for her. " Davis explains.

" Is there a Sailor Earth? "

Davis sighs at this question from Matt, even thinking about his twin sister was painful. Kari winces at the question as well, " There was a Sailor Earth, yes, but she went a different route and became Sailor Dream after Damacles' murder. Endymion found her and… "

Davis whips around, " What did that bastard do to her, Dike? "

Kari flinches, Damacles had been truly protective of two people, his princess and his twin. Had Damacles still been alive he would have rended Endymion limb from limb for what he had done to their sister, " He and then his generals used her, Davis. "

Davis' fury got Serena over to his side in mere seconds, " Damacles, you can take your due from him later, calm down or he will know you're back. "

Davis has to forcefully wrench his power back under his control along with his temper, internally Damacles was fuming but he knew Serena was right. " May I just say that I want to bathe in his blood before I'm done with him. " Davis mutters.

Serena rolls her eyes at this, " Prince Damacles Jason Aurum Terrantan III, that is more than enough. "

Davis flinches at this as does his inner prince, " Sorry, Ren. I'll be good. "

Kari goggles, " That was Damacles' full name back then? "

Serena giggles at this, " Yes, it was, he swore Serenity to silence not Usagi or Serena. "

- You are truly evil, Serenity.- Damacles tells her.

Matt and Tai laugh at Serena's explanation, " Loop holes, gotta love them. "

" Do not. " Davis mutters, " There was a reason why I made sure I was only called Damacles, not even her mother knew my full name. "

" You knew better than to trust that conniving bitch with your full name. Names have power. " Serena retorts.

" Well, we better get ready to head out. " Matt says.

Serena groans, " Damnable man-whore Earth prince. Make sure I get a good hit in, Damacles. "

Davis smirks, " As my princess wishes. "

Serena's eyes narrow and she tackles the younger Earth prince before proceeding in trying to strangle him. Davis is laughing even as he fends her off, sending some of his power directly in to her. It may not be perfect but it would hold her for now. Serena blinks, " You sneaky bastard, you did that deliberately. "

Davis grins unrepentantly at her, " Hey, had to find some way to get my power into you that wouldn't have you glaring at me for thinking you couldn't handle things. I spent plenty of time around you and the other senshi, I am not an idiot. Dike alone could hold her own with me, Senshi Moon on the other hand could almost hand my ass to me on a silver platter complete with trimmings. "

Serena blinks, " Senshi Moon? "

Kari curses, " That damnable bitch, Serena, you were the High Lunar Princess and the High Lunar Senshi. "

Serena blinks and Saturn materializes, " Hime, focus inward, is there anything locked away from you? "

Curses start flying at an alarming rate as Serena blasts open the hidden section to her memories. Persian, Lunarian, Japanese, Croatian, Russian, and Coptic by the time she was done. Matt and Tai were both impressed with her swearing rant in Japanese, Hiroaki walked in on the tail end of it, " What set her off anyhow? "

" Oh, just realizing that she was the High Lunar Senshi and High Lunar Princess in her last life, she knew it for this one already, and then finding those memories and then most likely blasting down the barrier separating her from them. " Davis answers casually, " Bitchenity, nice name for her by the way, Kari, did not want her eldest daughter capable of independent thought or action. "

Kari just smirks, the name suited her relative, she wasn't quite sure what the relationship between her and Serenity the IV had been, just that they had in fact been related, hence her having been third in line for the throne.

" That's all? " Hiroaki says incredulously.

" Well, my bastard reincarnated older brother may have also stopped sustaining her, thus causing her to weaken, that may be a part of this as well. " Davis admits.

Hiroaki sighs at this, " How is it I actually find something like this normal? "

Matt grins, " Because your sons went to a different world to save it and this one. "

" Right, forgot about that. " Hiroaki mutters.

" I guess we need to get going, right? " Tai says.

" Yeah, we do. Good thing Mimi's meeting them there and Joe will be along just as soon as he can, that way we can get in if necessary. Ken only knows about me, Kari, and Joe having Megas. You're still our ace in the hole, Tai. " Matt states calmly.

Tai smirks, " I really wish I could have a D3. "

Serena smiles, " Ask and you may receive, Tai-nii. "

" Damn straight, if she doesn't grant you a D3 I will. " Davis states.

" You have more power to work with at the moment, Dai. " Serena reminds him.

At that moment Takaishi Nancy arrives with TK and her goddaughter, Katou Jeri, whom Nancy felt needed to get away from her father and step-mother. " Hiroaki, would it be too much trouble for my goddaughter Jeri to join you? "

Jeri is a young girl with brown eyes and shoulder length brown hair which is worn with a pony tail on the left side and a green hair clip. She is currently wearing a yellow shirt under a green dress, yellow socks, and white and cerulean sneakers. She has a yellow dog sock puppet with a red mouth, pink ears, black nose, and dark brown eyes on her right hand. " Not a problem, Nancy, the more the merrier, right kids? " Hiroaki asks.

" Of course, Dad. " Serena and Matt chorus.

Nancy steps forward, " So, you're the adopted daughter. "

" You're the mother that seemed to think TK wasn't capable of handling the Digital World on his own. " Serena says in reply.

Matt groans, " Serena, chill. "

Hiroaki sighs, Nancy didn't know that Serena Ishida had once been Tsukino Usagi and had numerous parent issues. Thankfully she was working through those issues but it couldn't be forced. Tai and Davis had actually been huge stabilizing influences at a time she needed such influences. To this day they were the only ones whom could calm her down from any kind of emotional melt down. Most likely because they were both children of courage. They knew they had nothing to fear from her. They took the hits she dished out knowing she needed to vent and they gladly let her vent out her emotional storms on them.

Nancy sighs, she knew Serena had issues, Hiroaki had told her she was still working through them and to not push her. Whatever happened to Serena in the past must have been very traumatic indeed.

Emperor's Base:

Ken frowns, why had they been quiet for so long, it made no sense after the amount of destruction they had wreaked for weeks on end. What the hell were they playing at? His worthy adversary was making him nervous, not to mention the older goggle head and the Determined girl. This quiet was maddening. He couldn't even fully focus on his new project, Kimeramon. It was slowly making him paranoid, when would they strike and from where?

Wish Dimension:

MaloMyotismon frowns as his pet starts to lose it. Then again, those damn digidestines not doing anything for so long was maddening, he could understand why paranoia was setting in. If he talked to his pet now he could completely unhinge him. MaloMyotismon couldn't afford for that to happen with his pet Digidestined after all. What the evil vampire didn't realize was that they already suspected his involvement and were making plans even now to deal with him.

Campgrounds:

TK, Cody, and Mimi went straight to the Digital World with their partners while Kari, Davis, and Serena made their camping trip more believable. Nancy left shortly after meeting Serena for the first time leaving Jeri and her camping gear with them. Tai fills her in on what was going on while TK heads into Digiworld to meet up with Cody and Mimi. It was time to find Ken's base. Serena could be found leaning against a tree relaxing while Davis meditated. Jeri sighs, " Damacles, you will never get up to speed like that. "

Davis' eyes snap open at those words, " Dori? "

" It's Dorris, Dama-chan. "

" Screw you, Dori. " Davis fires back, " Did Endymion and his generals really…? "

" Yes, they did. You want me to… " Jeri asks.

" Please, Dori, you know how much she means… "

Tai, Matt, and Izzy were all fishing with Hiroaki while Kari was going through a dance kata that Serena had taught her. Kari knew she had to get back into fighting form just as soon as possible. Of course, this was hampered by both of her parents seeming to think that she needed to be coddled and protected.

Digiworld:

It was Cody whom spotted the base and sent the alert. Though Mimi and Palmon were going to scout it out first before they did anything else. Plus, someone needed to keep an eye on the base and make sure it didn't move and if it did then notify the others, that was TK's job. Cody had gone to the campsite and Davis had come in to see everything first hand. Next to Serena he was the best at making plans.
