It was a Friday night, it had been a busy week. Erica Roe was adjusting to life living with her aunt. Rafael was obsessed with filing charges against Larry, Holland, and Olivia was thriving. She and her team had put 3 rapists away this week, and Olivia had the time to attend an Al-anon meeting. Now, Olivia walked into her apartment building, happy that most of her weekend would be spent with Rafael and Noah. She just had to spend a few hours tomorrow helping Katelyn get settled into her new apartment. As Olivia approached her front door, she was surprised to see Lucia Barba standing there. "Is everything OK?" She asked, rushing over to Rafael's mother.
"Yes is fine. Noah asked if he could spend the weekend with me, and 'm caught up on my work. Do you trust me?"
Olivia smiled, "Yes, I trust you."
Lucia raised an eyebrow. "And you trust my son?"
"With my life." Olivia said without hesitation. "I trust him with my life, I trust him with my son, with everything." She said, feeling tears in her eyes,
"Don't cry, hija. He loves you so much. You're the perfect daughter-in-law."
"Lucia, Rafael and I, we're not married." She spoke to the older woman like she was delivering a piece of shocking news. Lucia smiled, and Olivia unlocked the door, and walked inside. Lucia walked in behind her. "Noah! " Olivia called. "Did you call Lucia?"
"Yes!" Noah called back.
"She's here to pick you up for a sleepover!" Noah ran into the living area, bag in hand. Olivia smiled. How long have you been planning this?"
"I knew you would say yes!" The boy answered.
"You did?" Olivia said with a laugh. "Where's your Uncle Rafa?"
"I'm right here, mi amor." Rafael called from the apartment's tiny kitchen. Olivia blushed at his words, Lucia was standing right there. Olivia watched as the love of her life rushed out of the kitchen. He stood in front of her, and placed his hands on her shoulders. "I'm right here." He whispered to her. Olivia smiled, the sound of his voice in any tone made her weak in the knees. She had to hide it, his mother was here, her son was here.
"Come on, Noah, let's get outta here." Lucia said.
"I love you." Olivia said. Rafael released her shoulders, knowing she needed to stay in mommy mode for a little bit. Olivia turned to her son, and spoke. "Do you have homework this weekend?"
"No."
"Did you have a book to read?"
"Yes, but not the one I'm reading with uncle Rafa. I packed my vocabulary cards. Lucia is gonna quiz me."
"Good, sweet boy, have fun!" Olivia kissed the top of his head, and hugged him.
After a full minute passed, Lucia spoke. "I'll take good care of him, Olivia." At the older woman's words, Olivia let go, allowing her son to walk to the woman he considered his grandmother.
Right before they left Rafael and Olivia alone, Noah called over his shoulder. "I love you, mommy."
A minute later, Olivia was wrapped securely in Rafael's arms. "You're so good to me." She whispered to him.
Rafael, lifted his hand, and with one finger, he wiped away a tear that escaped her eye. "Te amo. Everyday I endeavor to treat you better than the day before. You deserve that Olivia, you deserve everything wonderful this world has to offer, and I will work everyday to give you that."
"I'm here for you, Rafa, I need you to know that."
"Olivia, I know that with everything in me."
"I just need... I just want... She stopped talking. She began to turn her face away from him.
With a finger, he lifted her chin, and her eyes met his. "What do you need, Olivia? What do you want? I need to give you everything you deserve."
"I just need and want you and Noah."
"You have us, Olivia." You deserve more, Rafael thought to himself, but didn't say out loud, he vowed to give her more.
"You're my family, Rafael." She choked out.
"Yes, I am Mi vida, and you are my family. He wiped away another tear, and gave her a smile that made her toes curl in a good way. He took her hand, and led her to the dining table. I'll be right back." He said when she was comfortably seated. He went into the kitchen, and came back quickly with his honey glazed salmon. "I made your favorite salmon dish." Olivia did not respond. "I made your favorite salmon dish", he repeated. "Liv, are you OK?" She didn't say a word. Instead, she slowly rose from her chair, and moved to the door, kicking off her shoes. She turned, and watched him staring at her as she walked back to him. She stood in front of him, placed her hands on his face, leaned in slowly, and brought her lips to his. The kiss was gentle and filled with longing.
Olivia broke the kiss. and spoke softly. "Rafael Barba,, you are the most unique, and amazing man there is. You're my best friend, the best friend I have ever had. You help me heal, I'm ready, and I want you. You are my partner in life, and I want to be with you in every way." Rafael was speechless, quickly his lips collided with hers, this kiss held all the passion he tried for so long to hold back. They kissed until both were breathless. He pulled back, and just gazed at her for a long moment, she forced herself not to look away, self consciously. She stared back with equal desire. She was shocked to feel herself being lifted into his arms, they were strong, powerful, and they reassured her.
He laughed, at the wonder evident on her face. "I surprised you?" He asked, kissing her again, and carrying her to her bedroom. Slowly, he placed her on the floor as though she was his most precious possession. Why didn't he carry her to the bed?
"What?" He asked, reading the confusion on her face.
"I expected you to carry me to bed."
He smirked at her. "One night I will, but not tonight."
"What are you up to Barba?" She asked.
"Do you trust me?"
"Yes."
"I promise you'll enjoy it." She watched as he tilted his head, and her brown eyes closed, their lips met again dancing together in perfect time, suddenly his lips were gone, and she sighed in protest, feeling a loss. She wanted more contact. She opened her eyes, and just watched him. He smiled at her, quickly taking off his tie. He turned his back to her, and moved to the drawer Olivia had reserved for him. He opened it, and carefully placed the tie inside. Slowly, he started to unbutton his white shirt, Moments later, he turned his face to her, Olivia's eyes drank him in like a fine red wine. She took a soft breath as Rafael's shirt slipped down his shoulders. He smiled at her reaction. He took the shirt carefully in his hands, folded it, and placed it in the drawer. He closed the drawer slowly, and walked to an awe-struck Olivia. He kissed her again. quickly. He tasted like honey."Olivia, if I do anything that starts to make you uncomfortable, you need to let me know." Olivia nodded in agreement. "I need your words."
"I promise if something you do starts to get uncomfortable I will tell you, Rafael."
"Good. If you desire anything let me know, if I can do something to make you more comfortable, let me know."
"I will. I need to change my clothes."
"If that makes you more comfortable, go ahead."
Olivia strode quickly to her closet. "Don't look at what I choose," Olivia said from the closet.
"I will turn my back." He answered as he did so. Olivia exited the bedroom, and ran to the bathroom. She showered quickly, applied perfume, and dressed. She fixed her head, and took a deep breath. She was so nervous, but why? She was with Rafael, and she had sex before. She put her hand on the bathroom door knob. She opened the door, taking another deep breath as she walked out into the hall. When she walked back into the bedroom, she found Rafael on the bed, sitting up with 3 pillows supporting his back. She watched him silently drink her in. She wore a black empire waist dress with butterfly sleeves. The dress traveled way past her knees, her hair was down, and fell to her shoulders. "Come here." He beckoned her, his tender, alluring voice making her shiver. Slowly she walked to him.
"I want you to feel completely comfortable, and completely in control. I won't get on top of you tonight. If you want me to do that at some point we'll work on it another time." He said.
"I trust you, Rafa." She said, sitting down beside him, she twisted her body, so that she could look at him, and he could look at her. She just gazed at him for a moment before scooting closer to him, leaning in, and finding his lips. The kiss started very slowly, and soon became heated. Her hands found his shoulders, his warmth comforted her, and relaxed her whole body in the best way, she felt like she was floating. A grunt escaped him, giving her body a thrill. Soon she found herself on top of him. He smelled incredibly as only he could. His scent was a perfect mixture of masculinity, subtle cologne, with a little spice, and something that was just Rafael Barba, His lips left hers, and she whimpered.
"Let me worship you," He whispered, reverently, seconds later his lips were trailing down her neck. She closed her eyes, and focused on the feel of him, underneath her, his lips sucking at her neck. "Look at me." Her eyes obeyed his command. "Can I place my hand under here?" He motioned to her long dress.
"Yes, please." She replied in a whisper. With her permission his hand traveled under the dress, but not where she expected. She felt firm hands touch her lower stomach, He rubbed it in a circular motion, and then press down on just the right spot. Ahh, Ahh, Ahh,. Rafa... please don't stop.", Keeping his hand on her belly, he kissed her lips, and then his lips returned to her neck. She was almost panting.
"Do you want me to keep doing this?" He asked when his mouth left her neck?"
Raf... Rafa... She answered. "Please, keep going." She begged., as her hands found his bare chest.
"With pleasure, Mi Vida. I can listen to you all night."

Olivia felt like the most selfish woman who ever lived. It was Saturday at 6PM. she had been in Katelyn's new apartment, in the living room, for the past hour, and all she could think of was Rafael, and their steamy make out session, it was the most erotic experience she had ever had, and they didn't even have sex! She was still waiting. When she asked him about it, he said he wanted to learn her body before they went all the way. All she knew was she had never felt safer, and more turned on. Olivia understood that last night was a test, Rafael needed to feel that she truly felt safe with him. Last night she didn't tense once, there were no thoughts of anyone or anything in the past. It was just them, Olivia and Rafael. She found it impossible to focus on Katelyn. She unpacked each box she was given in a daze.
"Thank-you for your help, Olivia." Katelyn said. "Olivia?"
"Yes?"
"I said, Thank-you for your help."
"No, problem. I hope you're happy here, Katelyn. Healing Homes has a great counseling program." Remember to attend at least 3 counseling sessions a week. Healing Homes will also help you get and stay employed."
"I know, I will. Will you move in with me?"
"Katelyn, no. You don't need me to do that."
"But I want you to, Olivia. Please, things will be easier for me with you around. You can still keep your job, you can help other people the way you helped me."
"Katelyn, my family needs me."
"I need you!" Katelyn said, taking a vase out of a box.
"You can call me, Katelyn, but you don't need me like you think you do."
"You have kids? They have that nice ADA!" What's his name?" Katelyn screamed, throwing the vase down on the floor. She then ran down a small hallway, and to the bathroom. She quickly slammed the door.
Olivia went after her, knocking softly on the door. "Katelyn, we can talk about this. I'll go to a counseling session with you right now."
"I don't have anyone, Olivia! No one cares about me!"
"Katelyn, I promise you, that's not true."
Katelyn opened the door, and stepped out of the bathroom. "Do you care about me?" She asked, standing in front of Olivia.
"Yes, Katelyn. I care. You have to learn to care about yourself, and you will. You're strong, you're going to be more than OK." You're going to thrive."
"Thank-you." Katelyn choked out, thank-you so much. I need to clean up the vase. It was my grandmother's."
"I'm so sorry." Olivia replied. "I'll clean it up for you., just sit, and relax." Katelyn nodded, in agreement, and moved away from Olivia. Olivia watched her walk to the kitchen. "Katelyn, what are you doing?' Katelyn walked out of the kitchen to Olivia.
"Here" Katelyn responded, handing Olivia a dustpan.
"Thank-you." Olivia said, calmly "Go sit down."
"It's stuffy in this place." Katelyn said, sprinting to the front door, and opening it.
"Katelyn, shut the door, this is New York City. I'll open a window a little bit." Olivia said.
"Please, clean up my grandmother's crystal vase."
"I will." Olivia answered. "Just come sit down. I'll clean it up. I'll open a window, I'll lock the door. Relax, sit down, and we'll talk."
"OK." Katelyn agreed, sitting down on her new white sofa. "Olivia, will you take me to a counseling session today?"
"Yes, one starts in a half an hour. Why don't I take you there, and after I'll clean the vase up."
"That's a good idea." Katelyn replied.
Olivia moved to the front door.. "Come on." She said in a motherly tone. She watched Katelyn rise from the sofa. She followed Olivia, and Olivia pulled the door open. Suddenly her blood ran cold. "Hello"",Craig said. A gun was now in her face.
Olivia's voice came out steady."Craig, you're making a big mistake being here. Don't hurt Katelyn. Let me bring you in."Craig stamped on Olivia's foot, hard, and pushed his way past her. "I'm not here to hurt Katelyn." I'm here to spend time with my dream girl, Olivia! "Are you armed?"
"No." Olivia said. I'm off duty."
"Katelyn!" Craig said. "Get over here!" Olivia watched Katelyn move to her husband.
"Yes, baby." Katelyn said.
"You're going to make sure, my dream girl. isn't armed."Craig instructed his wife.
"Olivia, turn around and face me, please. My husband has a gun. No matter what he says he will hurt me." Katelyn responded. Olivia turned and let Katelyn search her. Olivia's skin crawled.
"No baby, she isn't armed." Katelyn said when she was finished searching.
"Good,"Craig said."Olivia, did my wife ask you to live with her?"
"No, she didn't", Olivia's voice was calm.
"You're lying, Olivia. Here's what you're going to do. You're going to call your lover, the DA."
"I don't have a lover." Olivia said.
"You're going to call the DA. You're going to tell him., you are mine now, forever. You're going to tell him you are going to live with Katelyn. If you don't do what I tell you, I'm taking you to him right now, I'll kill him, and your family right in front of you. Take out your cell phone, I know you have one. I'll kill him, Olivia!" I'll kill him, slowly!"
Olivia fished her phone quickly out of her pocket, and dialed, making sure Craig didn't see the numbers. She put the phone on speaker.
Liv? Are you on your way home to Mi Vida?" Rafael asked.
"Mark, I'm going to live with Katelyn, and Craig now. I love
Craig. I belong to him, forever. Olivia said, purposely not using Rafael's name. "Tell David and Jenifer I love them. Did you hear what I said, Mark?"
"Yes I did. You love Craig. and you're living in Katelyn's apartment." Rafael said, trying to stay calm.
"She's mine!" Craig shouted. "Mine not yours, and the charges against me will be dropped!"
Rafael hung up the phone, his fingers flew across the numbers on his phone.
"Fin , Rafael yelled into the phone before Fin could say a word. "Craig and his wife Katelyn have Olivia! I'm going to get her now!"
