Chapter 2

The band was loudly playing music as the limo pulls up. Happy and smiling teenagers holding up signs that read "Welcome!" and things along that line. Everything that can be seen is a bright color. Mostly blues and yellows. Birds are chirping and flying around, dragonflies darting between members of the marching band. The limo comes to a stop in front of the school. Fairy Godmother stands in front of the school. Fairy Godmother stands in front of the band, Ben and Audrey being directly behind her. As the driver opens the door, Jay and Carlos fall out wrestling over a blue piece of fabric that looks like a towel. Jay and already grabbed a set of expensive headphones and a laptop, now he was trying to get the towel. "Why do you even want whatever this is? You have all that other stuff!" Carlos says as he tries to get the towel from Jay. The older teen stepping on him to keep the higher ground.

"Because you want it!" Jay says simply, not caring that it is making it harder for Mal and Evie to get out of the dark limo.

"Boys! We have an audience," Mal reminds her two friends. Rolling her eyes as Jay lets go of the towel and pulls Carlos to his feet.

"Just cleaning up," Jay says innocently. Planning on keeping the stuff he took from the limo, even though a bunch of people see him taking it.

"Leave it like you found it," Fairy Godmother sing songs as Jay holds things from the limo. These kids are going to be more of a handful than they thought. "And by that, I mean just leave it," the good fairy states, motioning to the limo as Hadley was climbing out. Jay quickly throws the laptop and headphones back into the limo, Carlos throwing the towel in as well.

All of the items tossed landed on top of the girl climbing out. "Watch it!" she calls out as the towel that lands on top of her head and catches fire. Hadley's blue hair having briefly turned into blue flames. She quickly gets out of the limo and throws the now flaming towel onto the asphalt. Stomping out the flames with her black boot, not minding the white ashes now on the bottom of the roughed-up shoes. Once the fire was out, Hadley situates herself next to Evie at the end of the line.

"Welcome to Auradon Prep! I am Fairy Godmother, headmistress," the blue-clad fairy states as she curtsies at the teenagers. She wasn't quite sure how well the teens will fit in with the other kids. Like Ben, she believes that there is good in the hearts of the children. She just knows that she should expect trouble.

"Fairy Godmother? As in bippity boppity boo?" Hadley asks as she mimes waving around a wand. Mal glances over at the younger child of Hades, she thought her half-sister was unaware of the plan. Hadley was not known for being curious. Although, the sisters never shared classes before so Mal can't be sure if Hadley is a naturally curious person. She just heard from Carlos that Hadley tends to day dream in class or sleep.

"Bippity boppity you know it," Fairy Godmother smiles sweetly at the young teenager at the end of the line. In the perspective of the good fairy, the two youngest appear to be the most harmless.

"I always wondered what it must have been like for Cinderella. For you to show up with that sparkling wand and warm smile… and that sparkling wand," Mal says, complimenting the fairy in the hopes that she can find out more about what they were told to steal.

"Well you know what they say, focus on the past and you'll miss the future," the headmistress states as she dramatically waves her hands in front of her face.

Ben and Audrey step out from behind Fairy Godmother so they can introduce themselves to the newcomers. "Welcome to Auradon! I'm Ben…" the prince starts to say until he is oh so rudely interrupted.

"Prince Benjamin, soon to be king," Audrey states proudly, as if she were the reason for him becoming king of the United States of Auradon.

"You had me at prince. My mom is a queen, which makes me a princess," Evie says with a curtsy, acting far more lady-like than the princess in pink. The Evil Queen would be proud, just got into Auradon and already having the chance to woo the crown prince.

"The Evil Queen has no royal status here, and neither do you," Audrey says, fake sweetness filling her voice. To most of the student body, none of the villains have a royal status. The only VK who could possibly be considered a royal by blood would be the daughter of Hades. Her father is king of the Underworld after all. The grown heroes may see the villains who once held a royal status as royals, but the teenagers refuse to listen to their teachings. "The only one of you with any status is Hades' daughter," she adds, glancing at the youngest girl who is preoccupied with hiding her eyes from the sun.

Evie quickly hides her feeling of rage and disappointment. If she ever shows those emotions, she will never find a prince. She is easily distracted from these feelings by Fairy Godmother speaking again. "The doors to wisdom are never shut! But the library hours are from 8 to 11 and I do have a thing about curfews," the middle-aged fairy states as the band packs up and leaves. The fairy walks to the end of the line of VKs, directly to the blue-haired 14-year-old with lightly flickering hair. "Did Yen Sid tell you the plan?" the fairy asks as she takes the demi-goddess' arm and guides her to the school. After Belle and Beast insisted on bringing over Hadley, they started discussing with Fairy Godmother and Yen Sid about the best course of action. It had been decided that Hadley should take most of her classes virtually while she receives treatment for the infection in her heart. Only taking Remedial Goodness 101 in person. At least she can stay in dorms like a normal student.

"I take my classes virtually until I am cleared by my doctor. Should my condition get worse by living around other students, I will be relocated to Castle Beast where I can be kept in isolation," Hadley recites as they walk towards what appears to be a staff parking lot. A black SUV is parked almost on the sidewalk. Still turned on as the back passenger side door opens and King Adam steps out. Golden crown glittering in the sunlight and complimenting the gold accents on his blue suit.

"Welcome to Auradon, Hadley. I am King Adam, Queen Belle is waiting for us at the hospital so we can make sure that you can see a doctor right away," the king states as he holds the door open for the teenager. Once the girl is in the car, Adam climbs in on the other side and the driver heads off towards the hospital.

The tour of the school was far shorter than the four remaining VKs expected. Perhaps it was because of Audrey just wanting Ben all to herself. "If you have any questions, you can feel free to ask…" Ben starts to say before Audrey rudely cuts him off again. How ladylike.

"Ask Doug," the princess in pink states as she goes to pull Ben away from the new students. She wants to get as far away from the four villain kids as she possibly can.

" Wait! Why didn't Hadley have to do the tour with us? She's also supposed to attend school here," Mal asks before Audrey succeeds in pulling Ben away. To the others, it just looks like curiosity. Mal and Hadley rarely get along. Ever since Hadley set Mal's bag on fire when they were in kindergarten and second grade. In reality, they rarely get along because of Mal's resentment towards Hadley. The resentment of knowing that Hades didn't want Mal, but kept her little half-sister. He kept the more destructive child and kept her hidden away from months on end.

"Hadley will only be attending one class here. Her roommate will give her a tour of Auradon Prep once Hadley returns in a few hours," Ben quicky lies. Hoping that the four villain children would fall for it. The prince has no way of knowing if they know of Hadley's condition. From Yen Sid's letters, seems like the only people aware of it are Hadley's family and the magical professor himself. He made sure that the daughter of Elsa that Hadley will be living with is aware of the basics of it. That Hadley is sick, not contagious, but could grow weaker over the next few months.

Mal just nods at the explanation, quickly figuring out that it was a lie almost instantly. Malice had let it slip to her the month before that Hadley is dying. The child having overheard Hades and Melione discussing possible ways to save Hadley. At least now Mal knows that the prince is aware of something. She will have to keep an eye on him and the princess in pink. If they knew, who else knows? She follows the others over to Doug to get their schedules and room assignments.

Doug was placed in charge of showing the new students the dorms and where the classrooms are. As Mal looks over his shoulder at the schedules, he nervously reads out the schedules for all but Hadley. She happens to be in a different grade than most of the others. She and Carlos share some classes. "You all were placed in the required classes. English, Science, History, Safety of the Internet, and Remedial Goodness 101. Carlos and Hadley have different classes because of their grades," Doug says before gulping as Mal grabs the schedules from the shaking dwarf. Passing them out to the others and keeping Hadley's. Planning on giving it to her little sister later on.

"I'm guessing that last one is brand new," Mal says as she holds Hadley's schedule away from Doug as he tries to snatch it back from the half-fae. He was supposed to give it to Elsa and Merida's eldest daughter, a sophomore named Elyse. Her younger sister, Morag, happens to be a freshman who already has a roommate assigned. "I'll give Hadley her schedule later. She and I need to have a chat anyways," the purple-haired girl states before dropping an empty chocolate wrapper on the floor next to him. "Come on guys, let's go find our dorms," she smirks before climbing up the nearest staircase, her friends not far behind her.

As Evie passes by Doug, he stares after her, his heart beating fast in his chest at the sight of the blue-haired beauty. When the VKs were half-way up the staircase, he woke up from his trance and quickly says, "Uh guys, your dorms are that way." Pointing to the other grand staircase in the entrance hall. The VKs turn around and walk past him to the correct staircase, Evie winking at him as she passes.

A/N: Some events will be slightly different from the movie, but the main plot remains the same. I'm not quite sure how many chapters this will be yet, I'll just figure that out later on. See y'all in two weeks!
