Chapter 8
Not knowing what Mal wanted to talk to Elyse about was driving the younger daughter of Hades and Maleficent insane. Until finding out about the short timeline Hadley has, Mal never cared. Bright blue flames lick down her arms as she struggles with the zipper on Elyse's ice blue suitcase. "Stupid Mal should just mind her own damn business. She never cared then and I lasted this long," Hadley grumbles as she finally gets the suitcase open.
The oak door creaks open as Elyse walks in. Closing the door quietly behind her. "What Mal said doesn't matter. We have this handled, our plan will work," Elyse says quietly as she stands behind her roommate. Placing a hand on Hadley's shoulder to calm her. "The rock trolls can help you. I'll help you pack. We'll only need the one suitcase," she says as she takes the suitcase from Hadley.
"Are your parents fine with me going with you? I'm a villain. I'm no good," Hadley says as she goes to their shared closet to pull out a few dark blue shirts.
"Well how bad can Isle kids be? You're just kids like the rest of us. Only more… misunderstood," Elyse comments as she takes the shirts from Hadley. Making sure their hands brush. Before meeting the VK, she never felt so… whole around someone. Butterflies fill her stomach whenever they touch. Sparks fly and she feels warm.
With a sly grin, Hadley turns to Elyse and stalks over to her. Pushing the blonde back until the back of her legs hit the bed, making her collapse down. Hadley leans over Elyse with a wink and begins to sing.
I've got a smile like cyanide
My insides are cold and bitter
I'm no good at regret, proud to be such a mess
I wear it on me like a scarlet letter
With a smirk, Hadley leans closer to Elyse, their lips only millimeters apart. Only pulling away after feeling Elyse's pulse begin to race.
You feel like the perfect crime
Now my pain will be your problem
I told you that I'm no good, you think I'm misunderstood
Now heaven isn't ready, let's raise hell
Heaven isn't ready, let's raise hell
She trails her hand down Elyse's cheek, her eyes flashing gold as she feels sparks.
Danger
You'll never make it out alive
You know I'm so dramatic
And it's quite the habit
You know I won't let go
Danger (danger)
You know you'll never stand a chance
I tried to warn you
Like the ones before you
You know I won't let go
As their skin touches, the dark veins in Hadley's skin begins to disappear. A lightbulb goes off in Elyse's head as a flash of fear appears in the blue-haired girl's eyes.
I've been burned here once or twice
Revenge always makes it better
I'm bored and you're just a fix
A heart to throw in the ditch
With all the hearts I've stolen before
This is just entertainment
With a mind so sick and twisted
Depraved sadistic torture
It's like you'll never even see this coming
Heaven isn't ready, let's raise hell (let's raise hell)
Hadley pulls away in entirety. Her knees getting weaker the further she gets. With a little smirk, she sits on the second bed and crosses her legs. Throwing Elyse a wink and a kiss.
Danger
You'll never make it out alive
You know I'm so dramatic
And it's quite the habit
You know I won't let go
Danger (danger)
You know you'll never stand a chance
I tried to warn you
Like the ones before you
You know I won't let go
As Elyse tries to sit up from where Hadley had her pinned, Hadley begins to shake her finger at er friend. Hadley gets back up and walks to Elyse. Putting a hand on her chest and pushing her back down. Leaning close enough that they were almost kissing.
You know I won't let go
I will creep behind you while you sleep
And before the blood drips off the sheets
I'll wake you up so I can hear you scream
I wanna hear you scream
Hadley smirks and kisses Elyse's cheek before whispering in her ear.
Don't say I didn't warn you
With another kiss to the side of Elyse's head, Hadley pulls away again.
Danger
You'll never make it out alive
You know I'm so dramatic
And it's quite the habit
You know I won't let go
Danger (danger)
You know you'll never stand a chance
I tried to warn you
Like the ones before you
You know I won't let go
You know I can't let go
You know I can't
With a little smirk, Hadley walks over to the opposite bed and sits down crossing her legs. "Still don't believe that I'm bad news?"
Elyse sits up and leans towards her friend with a sweet smile. When Hadley kissed her cheek, she felt sparks. Warmth. "You are trouble. You never had a choice. Hadley, you can still be your troublesome self without being a villain. Luckily enough for you, I find trouble sexy," the platinum haired teen says as she walks over to Hadley so they can finish packing. She reaches out and strokes Hadley's cheek before packing a weekends worth of clothes for the two of them. Zipping the blue suitcase with ease. "The car will be here before the sun rises. Let's get to sleep," Elyse smiles before kissing Hadley's forehead and getting ready for bed.
