Zombie Apocalypse. Woo.

I am Hikigaya Hachiman of Class 2F and I am bored. Bored out of my mind. Sitting here, in this classroom, listening to Hiratsuka-sensei and waiting for her to finish her lecture so that we can finally move on to lunch break. Though even then I wouldn't have anything to do as I pretty much lost all opportunity to make any friends considering the accident I had in my first year which caused me to miss school for a few weeks.

Well, it is what it is. I suppose admiring nature while having some Melon-pan at my secret spot is pretty nice too.

There should be about 20 or so minutes left before I'm finally free of this hell known as school for a while. Still, everyday I hope for something interesting to happen. Something that changes things, maybe a pandemic that causes schools to shut down for a year or two? Now THAT sounds interesting. Imagining yourself being in a room for a year straight and knowing nobody will blame or judge you for it? Just the thought itself makes me drool.

On the thought of pandemics, wonder what would happen if the world went through a zombie apoc–

"–and that's all for today, remember to check up on the topics I taught today on the internet as they will help you in your test next week. Class Dismissed."

20 minutes sure did pass by pretty fast, was I that engrossed in my thoughts? Not that I'm complaining. I should probably get up before the cafeteria becomes too crowded.

Nothing hits better than sitting in nice sunlight and having Melon-pan alongside some cold MAX Coffee. Have I ever talked about the greatness that is MAX Coffee? Seriously, it's a drink passed down from the age of gods. Every day I thank the being that blessed humanity with–

"SOMEBODY HELP ME! PLEASE SOMEONE HE–"

My thoughts were interrupted by multiple cries of help and bone chilling screams. Like many other students I ran towards the screams in order to figure out what the hell was going on.

I didn't have to go straight towards the main entrance as I looked through one of the windows on the side of the corridors.

All I saw… were corpses. Many corpses. Students and school employees lay dead at the entrance as I see walking corpses rip apart their flesh with their teeth. The sickening sight was enough to bring me to my knees, having to hold myself back from puking with my hands.

I started shaking uncontrollably as I heard the groaning of the walking corpses increasing. The absurdity of the situation made me think it was a dream. I would've just stayed there stunned if not for the pair of rotten legs I saw at the end of the corridor.

'This… this isn't a fucking dream. I… I need to survive. I need to make sure my family is alright! I can't die here no matter what!', I thought as I got back up on my feet and ran desperately towards the opposite way.

I needed to get away from the school first thing and find safety no matter what. It seemed like the school was swarmed with a horde, and if the zombies here are anything like the ones in movies then the people that were bitten are probably infected too. Soon enough this school would be filled with hundreds of zombies.

As I ran through the corridor and turned left I saw a few more zombies that way. I was surrounded and the only way for me to go was the science laboratory to the right of me which I knew was safe because the door was open and I could see nobody inside. Alongside with the fact that the laboratory had windows that led outside made it my best bet to stay safe.

Before I could enter the science laboratory I heard the noise of someone falling. Looking behind me I saw a girl with waist length black hair with two ribbons above each shoulder on the floor with a zombie holding her leg. She tried kicking the zombie but the undead's grip held strong. Knowing she couldn't do anything she turned her tearful eyes towards me. She didn't say anything but her piecing blue eyes screamed at me for help, to save her life.

I should leave her and watch out for myself, my brain said. I agreed. Why should I risk myself for a complete stranger when I could die trying to rescue her. I'm not a saint. I'm not a knight. There is no reason for me to do anything except going inside the laboratory.

And yet for some reason, I ran towards her.

I don't know where I'm going with this honestly. I just wanted to write.

Though I'd still appreciate criticism =)

(also apologies for slow and filler-ey start)
