Neal didn't break out of prison, finished his four years, and was released on time. Several months later Peter Burke helps out the mob unit and accidentally finds out what happened to the man he chased for three years. Absolutely unashamed Neal whump.

When Neal can't keep up his deal due to medical trouble, he runs to stay out of prison. Peter and Elizabeth bring him home. Mostly parental Peter and Elizabeth with a bit of Neal/Sara.
