Q-Branch:
Q: Benedict 'Q' Holmes, a.k.a. the hacker Ghost. While a Holmes and the Adjunct-Director under Mycroft, Benedict was content to remain a lowly if gifted programmer under MI6 until the attack by Raoul Silva killed all his superiors. Duty called, and he took control of everything electronic, software, mechanical, etc. for the agency, making himself the de facto Q; the Quartermaster. Later Spectre orchestrated his firing, as while unaware of his true identity, it was his unexpected genius which kept things from being worse, and would have been prevented if M listened to him. Readjusted a private security company he owns so that all of his former personnel, and the entirety of MI6, would have employment, and could be easily slotted back into government work after Spectre's defeat. Has an unfortunate habit of overworking himself by going non-stop for days at a time, requiring long periods of sleep or even sedation.
R: Kimberlee Tanner. Wife to Bill Tanner. Q's second-in-command, handling the hardware side of things more. Q trusts her to keep an eye out on him, to ensure he does not go rogue, while he does the same for her.
IT-Department:
Ophelia Warner: 1 of the 2 Heads of the IT-department: Got promoted and trained by Q because she always took charge during his absence. Has a love for 1930's-1950's era clothing.
George Sadler: 1 of 2 people brought in to relieve some of the pressure on Q and R. Former MI5 IT-department head he was rather green with only a disastrous Management course and very little experience under his belt. After a rocky start he, to his own surprise, managed to keep his job and after being trained by Q is managing the IT-department very well.
Neil Talbot: A mole for Spectre. Started working in the Q-branch IT-department at the same time as George Sadler. Transferred from Scotland Yard. He organised for Rose Horn to take the fall for him by having her husband and son kidnapped. He also organised for Justin Remar to be beaten up on his way home to prevent him from finding any more evidence of his activities.
Jordan Bruskin. Originally just another hacker and programmer on the dayshift. Circumstances forced him to take accelerated field agent training with 001. He proved competent enough to gain junior agent status after a week. He continued training with the double-0's and graduated into a full agent, gaining A-status immediately. Experience with high stress now makes him MI6's best hacker after Q. Currently undercover at Nine Eyes. Jordan is a lover of all things Harry Potter and Star Wars.
Iris McLaughlin: Programmer on the dayshift. Has a fiery personality. Fiercely loyal to her country and her colleagues. Sought out Jordan Bruskin when she, Justin Remar and Andy Wong discovered the fake account used by the mole to access information on the server. She learned that Jordan is an agent and has been helping him keep his cover when she encountered him while he was undercover.
Justin Remar: Programmer on the dayshift. Punker who's mohawk changes colour every once in a while. His Asperger's Syndrome makes it easy to spot irregularities which caused him to discover the fake account on the server the mole was using to discover information.
Andy Wong: Programmer on the dayshift. He loves metal and is addicted to energy drinks. Is one of three people who discovered the mole in Q-branch.
Rose Horn: Programmer on the Nightshift. Has a husband and son who got kidnapped by spectre to make her take the fall for the mole.
Darnell: Programmer on the nightshift. Quiet personality, doesn't really like to talk, though he doesn't mind listening.
Bruce Grimmesey: programmer on the nightshift
Jason Whidden: Hacker who worked on the dark side for a while. Did some work for the mafia before he decided to try and clean up his life. Being hired by Q to work on the handler teams has given him a second chance.
Zachery Steinberg: Hacker hired by Q to work on the handler teams. Friends with Matthew Willis and has worked with him in the past. Strictly a whitehat.
Matthias Willis: Hacker hired by Q to work on the handler teams. Friends with Zachery Steinberg and has worked with him in the past. Strictly a whitehat.
Mandi Parker: Hacker and Highschool student. Her completion rate of the gauntlet was fairly high which drew Q's attention. He arranged a scholarship for her and for her to come to Q-branch to get acquainted in the hope of getting her interested in joining the branch in the future. Friends with Iris and Ophelia.
Other James Bond Characters:
M (former). Olivia Mansfield. Previous head of MI6. While remembered fondly by 007, the majority remember her for being bullheaded, burning a 00, and negligence in preventing the disaster said burned 00, Raoul Silva, caused. Killed stopping Silva. Feuded with Mycroft and Q, as aware of the corruption of their uncle, and believed them the same.
M (current). Gareth Malory. Current head of MI6, and loyal to Mycroft. Served in the SAS. He got captured by the IRA, injuries of which left him unable to resume his service. Spent some time working for Mycroft, working his way up the ranks before he became head of the Intelligence and Security committee. Was in the perfect position to take over from Olivia Mansfield when she died.
Bill Tanner. MI6's Chief of Staff, reporting directly to M. Husband to R. Not suited for field work beyond the basics, but well informed of the inner workings and politics of MI6 and what they have to deal with.
Raoul Silva. A former 00 who was burned by the M of the time, and handed over to another government. Returned to kill her and destroy her life's work, hiring a world-class hacker and various remnants of Jim Moriarty's gang.
Dr. Madeleine Swann. Daughter of the Pale King Mr. White. Appears at first glance to reject her fathers ways, but is in fact trying to pull a honeypot on 007. Q's intervention made Bond aware of that fact however.
Ernst Blofeld. 007's foster brother who resented the outsider inserting himself into his life, so faked his death and murdered his father. Returned as a psychopathic manipulator, heading Spectre, which is a conglomeration of the remnants of Quantum and Moriarty's organisation. Has apparently turned the entire syndicate into destroying 007.
Max Denbigh. Dubbed 'C' by 007. One of Jim Moriarty's body doubles, now working for Spectre. Has risen out of nowhere to shut down MI5 and MI6 through legal channels, and now heads the Director-General of the Joint Security Service, pushing through Nine Eyes, which would link together the databases of the nine largest national based intelligence agencies. Also orchestrated the firing of Q.
Sherlock Characters:
Mycroft Holmes, a.k.a. the Director. Head of the Holmes family, and manages the British Government as per ancient tradition. The post lost a lot of power because of the antics of his predecessor Rudy Holmes and the successful efforts of the former M Olivia Mansfield to keep them out of her agency until Benedict Ormond Holmes became Quartermaster. Loyal and brilliant, while also still dealing with the corruption of his predecessor on a personal and professional level. Has a dead wife who is dearly missed. Has been greatly affected by the abuse of power by uncle Rudy Holmes, his predecessors and mentor. He built his iceman persona to keep his uncle from finding out he knew about it. Now works very hard to undo all the damage the man did.
Bill Wiggins. Former 00 candidate who was let go after being declared mentally unfit for action in a faulty mental evaluation. Now runs a house where drug addicts can safely use. He met Sherlock when he was still using and is now part of the homeless network. The house is used by Sherlock as a stashpoint and the second basement by Q and R for basically the same reasons.
Arabella. The Assistant to Mycroft Holmes, an ancient position to help the current head of the Holmes family run MI5 or its equivalent. Always on her phone to manage his various contacts, and as deadly as any 00.
John Watson. Friend of Sherlock Holmes. Generally known as a retired combat medic, but was really part of the Special Forces, though which part is not yet revealed. Known as 'Three Continents' Watson for keeping unruly soldiers across three continents in line. Believes Sherlock is dead, and occasionally assists Mycroft with minor things because he is highly trusted though their relationship has become difficult. Old friend of 006, and indirectly aiding Q. Currently sent out of London, at his own request, to join the Special Forces Selection as their medic, to prevent him from going on a killing spree against Max Denbigh and his associates. Can and will beat up a 00 agent because he is THREE CONTINENTS WATSON BABY!
John Watson's special forces teammates
Mathew 'Holly' Hale: Lieutenant, formally in the Royal Marines currently Special Forces Operator. Got his nickname because he loved watching Holly Oaks with his girlfriend. Married to Marleen and has Children. Mathew is one of John Watson's close friends but they lost touch when John got discharged. He's John's current confidant and helps him deal with his Denbigh issues.
Lucas 'Bucky' Buchanan: Special Forces Operator, part of the team that are running the special forces selection. Loves to bully the new recruits with beastings into quitting.
Bastian 'Pan' Panagopoulous: Special Forces Operator, part of the team that are running the special forces selection.
Palmer 'Finney' Fin: Special Forces Operator, part of the team that are running the special forces selection.
Greg Lestrade: Detective Inspector for Scotland Yard. Made liaison to MI6 by Q without his knowledge and consent. A former associate of the 'dead' Sherlock Holmes, and friend to John Watson. Knows enough about Mycroft that he wants nothing to do with the man, even if it means forcing himself to break certain laws to his disgust; albeit at John's advice.
Rudy Holmes: The previous Director, and head of the Holmes family. Grossly abused his position, despite already having considerable wealth and power. Theorised to be doing it because he could. Money laundering, blackmail, bribery, all the way up to kidnapping and murder. You name it, he's done it. Died when Benedict Ormond Holmes was 15 from a heart attack. Q only recently learnt about it, while a lot of Mycroft's public Iceman persona stems from having to fool his uncle and mentor, and refuses to be anything like him.
Jim Moriarty. Deceased criminal consultant with a worldwide enterprise. A Holmes-level genius, he turned his entire crime syndicate into a failed attempt to kill Sherlock Holmes. While Sherlock has been dismantling much of it, key remnants have been picked up by other members of Britain's enemies.
The Queen. Hereditary monarch of Great Britain, and to whom Q and Mycroft owe their ultimate loyalty. Unaware of the corruption of the previous Holmes, but Q urging that she learns.
Sherlock Holmes. Rejecting his family's legacy of government service, Sherlock became a private detective. After his clash with Jim Moriarty, he faked his death and is currently outside of the country dismantling what he believes to be the last of Moriarty's organisation. His brothers are actively keeping him from realising the true remnants are part of Spectre, acting in London, and a threat to John Watson, lest their brother return on a horrifying killing spree which may require they put him down.
