A few days after Catherine had been sick, she was back up on her feet and playing again and was the normal peppy little girl she was. The three-year old toddler was now running around the house doing the things she loved such as painting, coloring, playing with her Barbie dolls, spending time with her siblings, her parents, and helping her mommy in the kitchen. She loved being the taste tester when she her mommy was making something new.
"Yummy." Catherine licked her lips as her mom had her taste some chocolate cupcake mix she was doing at the moment for dessert after dinner.
Bless giggled hearing her daughter squeak out the word yummy. "Is that good sweetheart?" She asked her.
The little girl nodded. "Yummy in tummy."
"You have a little chocolate on the side of your mouth sweetie, let's clean that up." Bless smiled as she went to get a paper towel before returning to Cat who sat on the counter wiping her mouth.
"There we go." The young mother then went to go throw away the napkin in the garbage and resumed back to her baking while Catherine watched her mother intently at her work.
"Sprinkles later mama?" Catherine asked her if there were going to be sprinkles on the cupcakes.
"It's up to you what you want to put in yours baby girl." Bless didn't mind that Catherine put either sprinkles or frosting on the cake since she knew either were her favorites.
Drew walked in a few minutes later with Isabella in tow as she was sucking on her pacifier. "Hey, what are my two favorite girls up to?" The Scot asked his wife and daughter.
Catherine smiled seeing her dad and baby sister. "Hi daddy. Making cake with mama." Drew kissed her on top of the head. "Mmmm…those are going to look so good." He mentioned with a smile.
"They will be once they're done." Bless let him know while she was putting all the ingredients together.
"Mmmmmm….cake!" The little one squeaked happily watching her mom put everything together before getting the cupcake pans out.
Bless giggled at how cute her daughter was. "We'll have them after dinner."
"Honey, why don't you go with daddy while I finish these up and have dinner started soon?" Bless suggested to her little girl.
Drew walked over and scooped up the little girl on his hip while he had Isabella in the other arm. "Come on munchkin. Let's let mummy work and we can go spend some time together, how does that sound?"
"Okay daddy." Catherine agreed with a smile.
"Thank you babe." Bless mentioned to Drew.
"No problem love, Super dad is here." He chuckled bringing both kids to the living room.
Walking to the living room, he put Catherine down first before putting Isabella down in her chair swing. "There you go little lassie." He smiled softly at the little one putting a blanket on her before turning on the button to let it swing automatically.
While Cat sat in her little table area, she grabbed her crayons and coloring book while the tv was playing "Little Mermaid" which was her favorite cartoon.
A few minutes later Drew heard Alex off the baby monitor and turned to his young baby girl. "Lass, can you be a good sister and watch Bella for me while I go get your baby brother?"
"Yes daddy, I'll watch Issie." She obeyed her dad with a bright smile letting him know she'd watch over her baby sister while she was doing her own thing when she heard her baby brother cry on the monitor.
"Thank you sweetheart." He felt grateful for Catherine being such a good big sister and he could always relay on her helping Bless when he wasn't home when he was on the road that she was the big sister in charge. He had no problems with her by far and for that he was thankful she was very behaved and cooperative. He could tell where she got the good behavior from and that was from Stu and she had mostly his traits.
The chosen one decided to go grab Alex since he knew either Alex had a wet diaper or just needed feeding when he woke up.
Walking in the room, he saw Alex was up. "Hey little man, you hungry huh?" He knew Alex needed a bottle.
"Yeah you're just hungry. Come on champ, let's get you a bottle." Alex wrapped his arms around Drew who scooped him up and rubbed his back.
"Shhhhh….it's okay lad." His dad comforted him with a kiss on top of his head and rubbed his back.
Once downstairs, The Scot walked in the kitchen where Bless was making them dinner and she smiled when she saw her two favorite boys.
"Hey, wrong with my baby, why are you crying?" She walked over to her son kissing his head. "He's just hungry, right champ?" His father smiled at the little boy that sniffled.
Drew warmed up the bottle before testing it on his arm before giving it to Alex who took it and started to suck on his bottle. "Hungry little lad." The young wrestler chuckled watching his son eat.
"Take it easy little man. You wouldn't want to hurt your tummy."
Alex looked up at his dad as if he understood him sipping his milk slowly.
"Good boy. You wouldn't want a tummy ache little man."
After Alex drank some of his bottle, he started patting his back to burp him.
"Good burp little man." Drew chuckled hearing Alex. "Mama." Alex babbled looking around for his mom.
"Your mum is in the kitchen. We're going to join her soon as soon as she finishes up cooking." Drew let his little boy know.
"You want to go check on your mum little guy?" Drew asked Alex if he wanted to go with his son to go check on Bless.
The two boys walked in the kitchen to see Bless at work and she looked very relaxed as she was putting things together.
"Hey mummy. Someone wanted to see you." Drew told his wife who turned around and seen her son and hubby.
"Hey big boy. Ooooo...come here to mama." Bless opened her arms up for Alex as her hubby passed him on to her as she laid a kiss on Alex's head.
"You just wanted to stay here with mama and watch me cook didn't you, handsome?" Bless tickled him making Alex giggle out loud which was music to her ears.
Drew went to check on the two girls and saw Catherine still quietly coloring and was watching her cartoons while Isabella was sleeping soundly in her chair swing.
While the girls were content, he checked on some stuff he needed to do before dinner was ready and make sure he had his flight itineraries were e-mailed to him before he was needed back out on the road soon.
Once dinner was finished, the family all joined together and enjoyed each other's company.
When dinner was over, Bless and Drew put the kids down to bed and the young couple had a blissful night to themselves.
