Worried voices, and hasty footsteps filled the halls Louise and Izaneus attempted to traverse. Countless students and teachers bustled to get themselves to safety, discover the source of the commotion, or other ideas that would occur after such an event took place.

A small crowd of brave and inquisitive students formed around what *appeared* to be a doorway into a vault of sorts. With teachers trying to pry them away from the site to no avail. Behind the lot of them sat the Headmaster, and the distraught visage of Professor Colbert

Grabbing Izaneus by the Crimson vest he wore, Louise dragged her familiar forward, barging through the pack of curious students and pushing past the teacher, blocking the doorway, and causing the already frightened Colbert more distress, as he came into eye contact with Louise's Familiar.

Inside was the strikingly elaborate stone and metalwork, with gold abound, a few gems here or there. Why weren't they stolen?

It was here Izaneus caught sight of the elderly man inspecting the damage, pure white hair and wrinkled skin roughly showed age. As the man turned to face the wizard. Iza felt a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions race by and through him all at once. His eyes showed delicate experiences and trials, with a wisdom and grace that only those who'd suffered much, and hard, could hold.

Iza knew, His mother often held the same eyes.

"Ah… Sir Phortea. I'd seen you chase after the Culprit of all this damage. Has she been apprehended?" The worried teacher questioned hastily, causing a bit of a scoff from Louise's familiar..

"Had she been, she'd be here before us." Replied the Wizard, who sighed, as he leaned against the wall, admiring the destruction the mage he'd chased, caused with that golem of hers.

"I feared as much… Did the Chevalier Tabitha, and her Rhyme Dragon share in your luck?" He questioned in another capacity. Truly hoping someone had managed to capture the thief. However, the title with which he referred to Tabitha as gave the Pink haired noble besides them a fair bit of shock.

"Since when had Tabitha been given the title of Chevalier? This is rather large news for me not to hear about it."

"Chevalier?" Izaneus replied with a question of his own, unaware of the world's cultures and customs. From the look both the professor, and his summoner gave him, he sensed this was… rather an inadequate message.

"Ah, pay me no mind, I'm still in shock." He bluffed, attempting to save some face. Not only about his situation, but his public appearance. It would do no good if people thought him a plebian uneducated in the matters of the world. Thus he resigned his question to the library. Where he'd have to pay a visit later.

"Ahem, in any case, was Tabitha successful? Or not?" The headmaster chimed, a hint of concern mixed within his tone of voice.

With a soft cough to clear his throat, Izaneus spoke once more.

"Unfortunately not, the Culprit in question escaped, after wounding, and sending Tabitha and her dragon spiraling to the ground."

The news devastated the professor in front of Louise and Iza, a slight shake in his hand grabbed at his receptacles, and gingerly wiped them. Before a small stutter in his voice caused Izaneus to anticipate, and, with a glance to Louise, answer his question

"Both are fine, after my 'Master' and I healed them, Tabitha and Her Draconic companion are both in recovery."

The initial relief that Colbert took was indescribable. His eyes showing exhaustion, and frustration both in equal measure.

"What was the cause of this entire ordeal in any case? Do we know that? And correct me if I'm mistaken, but wasn't it fouquet who fled?" Louise inquired, somewhat frantically, mildly frustrated that they could all keep a straight face during all of this.

Iza raised an eyebrow. Was it a known criminal? He pondered this as the Headmaster spoke once more.

"A Staff, of great import, and no. You aren't mistaken. It was Fouquet the Crumbling Earth indeed" The elderly mage sighed out his words, frustrated beyond belief.

"Indeed; in the wrong hands that staff is a force to be reckoned with… and that thief is most certainly the wrong hands…"

Izaneus couldn't hold his curiosity, and allowed his thoughts out into the open,"Pardon my questioning, but… What kind of staff?".

The two men stared at each other for a moment. Before the Headmaster spoke.

"Swear to retrieve the staff, and I will disclose all I know on the matter. Whether you believe it to be true or not."

Izaneus pondered for a moment. While Louise looked at him apprehensively, what if he accepted? The last time they attempted to pursue the villain, they'd been thrown to the cloudy depths above, and nearly died. Was that a risk he was willing to take?

"I accept." the familiar sounded at once.

Of course it was. Louise thought as she sighed indignantly.

As Izaneus spoke, he felt a sudden pressure envelop the room. before it all at once used him as the focal point. He felt akin to being slammed against the ground. if the Earth were trying desperately to crush him.

Then all at once it ceased.

A small smirk appeared on the Headmaster face, quickly replaced by a friendly smile. " Lovely! Now, come with me. Oh! But first. Introductions. I am the headmaster of this school, you may call me Osmond. Oh! But no need to disclose your identity, I've heard quite a bit about you."

This caused Izaneus to furrow his brow, standing straight as he began to act a fair bit cautious.

"Oh please! No need for any wariness, its all pleasant I assure you, now come with me to my office, we've much to discuss."

Izaneus sat idly, deep in thought as the wind whipped past him and his pink haired master on the earthen transportation the former had conjured. The sun bore down gently upon them, giving their complexion a much warmer tone. Despite the clear paleness of Izaneus.
"So... how do we plan on taking Fouquet down?" Louise asked, nervous anxiety laden in her voice. Her eyes spoke of those who'd never seen combat. Which Izaneus only knew through his father. Never seeing a fight himself, Izaneus thought this a blessing.
Until it became a curse.
He opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by a shadow passing above the two on their earthen surfboard, looking up, it was...
Sylphid? Was Tabitha up already? The wound still hadn't closed fully on the dragons wing, not that it proved for anything but a lack of speed, which they still had plenty of. But going into battle injured surely wasn't a good idea?
Izaneus willed he and Louise to speed up, racing faster on the platform of stone they rode.
The new plan was take down a powerful mage, who was also an experienced thief, who also wielded a staff to make her more powerful. How could it end badly?
