Maribel, Antonio, and his animal friends were hanging out when all of a sudden a white rat came into the room. He went up to Antonio and started to squeak into sentences.

Antonio: Oh, is he….. (squeaking) Oh, he does, that's nice, I wonder if she'll be our new Tia!

Maribel: What?

Antonio: Oh, he said that Tio Bruno is looking for us, and he also said that he has a huge crush on the new girl.

Maribel: Oh, is that what you got from those uh, squeaks?

Antonio: Yep.

Then the rat started to squeak again.

Antonio: He says he hears footsteps coming from the stairs.

Then after a few seconds, the door to Antonio's room opened to reveal Bruno and the new girl.

Bruno: There you guys are we've been looking for you.

Antonio: Why Tio Bruno?

Bruno: My friend has a problem.

Melissa: Ya'r uncle told meh ya can help meh with mah hedgehog.

Antonio: Hedgehog? What's a hedgehog?

Then Melissa sat down next to Antonio, and Maribel. She then took her tiny pet pouch off and opened it, to reveal a spiked ball.

Antonio: Wow, it's very spiky. Does it hurt?

Melissa: It does at first, but within time ya get used ta it.

Then within a few moments, it shook and rolled until a little face reviled itself from its spikes.

Antonio: What's his name?

Melissa: Hans, Hans prickle pants.

Antonio: Oh, ok… what seems to be the problem other than the name.

Melissa: Ah'm don't know why, but Ah'I feel like he hates meh, or doesn't trust meh. What should Ah'I do?

Then he turned to the hedgehog.

Antonio: Hey, do you hate her for some reason?

Then he started squeaking.

Antonio: Uh-huh, yes, ok I'll tell her. He said that he doesn't trust humans because all humans kill animals just because, and they took my mommy and daddy.

He ducked his head down as he started to tear up.

Melissa: Listen Ah'm so sorry about ya'r family, for the record ah'I wasn't the one who killed ya'r parents and took ya to the pet store.

Then everyone went silent, then more squeaking.

Antonio: He said no but you did have someone rudely woke me up from my nap so you can purchase me.

Melissa: No, yes ah'I did, but ah'I can't control how they pick ya up ah'I wasn't paying attention ta what happen that day…. Ah'm sorry ok for everything, that includes the time ah'I wake ya up early. It was because mah Mother would always say that ya was actin' weird or not normal, so Ah'I would check on ya were alright. Ah'I might not say it all the time but ah'I do care for ya fluffer nut. But ah'I get it mah mother is a bit over bearin'.

Then he started squeaking again.

Antonio: He said I know.

Melissa: That's why ah'I moved out here for ya, ok Ah'I left because of ya…..

Then everyone was quiet even Hans. Melissa picked Hans up from Antonio and put him back in his pouch. Melissa patted Antonio's hands gently.

Melissa: Thank ya so much for this Antonio.

Antonio: You're welcome ti-I mean senorita, Melissa.

As Melissa was tearing up, as she started heading out of Antonio's room, Bruno stopped her.

Bruno: Hey wait, we were getting on to something here!

Then Antonio, Melissa, and Burno heard screaming and animal noises and scratching outside the door. Then Antonio opened the door to reveal all two cats, two dogs, and one confused Pepa through the door.

Pepa: You seem to be very popular today Corazon.

Then the dogs started barking mad.

Antonio: They said the tent has been ransacked.

Dog1: This kid can understand us?!

Antonio: Yes, I can understand you.

Dog2: Oh, great now I need to watch my mouth.

Antonio: Yeah, that's probably for the best.

Then they all rushed out of Antonio, except Pepa and Antonio.
