Q. Why are you finishing it?
A. I have gotten nothing but love from this community, and I want to give you an ending after you've been so patient with me.
Q. Why did it take so long?
A. I've been in a writing slump for nearly 10 years, and I've battled with my mental health. Last year my appendix burst and I almost died. That made me reevaluate things. Then I joined a d group this past fall that has helped me feel confident in my storytelling. I also want to begin posting more stories, but I don't want this story to loom, unfinished, over me.
Q. Do you still watch the show? Are you caught up?
A. No. I haven't watched this show even since the last time I updated this story. A big reason I couldn't finish this story is that I felt very confused with how to blend it with canon. So full disclosure: Chapter 10 is the end of me following canon, and any canon referenced in future chapters will only have come from season 1. I will also not be converting events from episodes into the story anymore, and will only be focusing on the plot I have planned. I'm sorry if this ruins the fic for you, but I won't be able to write it any other way.
Q. When will you be posting?
A. I can't give you an exact date, because I don't want to miss a deadline. When I do finish the story, I will be uploading all chapters at once so you can read them at your leisure. I want to have the story done by the end of summer, and ready by fall. If I get lucky, I'll post sooner. I will also be posting other stories I have written between then and now, but I promise my focus is this one.
Thank you to everyone who has read and enjoyed this story. Your love and support means so much to me. I hope you'll stay with me on this storytelling journey. I want to be a published author someday, and it is the love and support you've all shown me that gives me hope that I could maybe achieve that dream.
I feel like this story is almost more yours than mine at this point. At one point I even thought about offering it up for someone else to finish it... While I have a plot in mind, if you have ideas I'm open to hearing them. My messages are open, and I'll try to build some social media that I could be reached on as well.
