I would like to try something I saw in some fanfictions. Let me know if it helps when reading. Thanks. Also sorry for the longer wait, there is a lot going on in my family and I am there to help them.
Chapter 6
→ Way to E-Rantel / blue roses ←
The way to E-Rantel proved to be a combination of nerve wracking and interesting. While the dullahan proved to have quite the knowledge on magic and abilities, he didn't know that much about the rest. They taught him some parts about martial arts, but didnt know how well he would be at also seemed to blue roses as if Litzelot was like a child with new toys. That was also nerve wracking since he didn't understand that he nearly killed some lumberjacks by fear alone. Sir Litzelot also didn't know his Limits and therefore his true strength. The evening before they would enter, blue roses and Litzelot agreed to a spar.
That is where we find our group now.
Sir Litzelot stood there beside his bicorn, his head looking out of a pouch while Litzelot carried a large and black kite shield in his left hand and a black adamantine bastardsword in his right. He also wore his usual armor, less polished now but afterwards he would polish it.
Blue roses positioned themselves. The front was taken by Gagaran, her left covered by Lakyus. Tia and Tina covered the flanks of Evileye, which stood a little back. When both sides were ready, Sir Litzelot counted down and at "go!" The spar had started
Blue roses wanted to test Litzelot little by little. They agreed to first test him in melee and then Evileye would test him in magic. When it went too easy for Litzelot he would spar with the whole of blue roses. Therefore Lakyus and Gagaran closed the distance. Gagaran opened with a heavy attack to her right, which was blocked by Litzelot. He retaliated by swinging his sword at Gagarans left, which was blocked by Lakyus. When his sword was blocked Lakyus wanted to keep the swords locked. It took her too much effort and the pressure by the strength of the dullahan left her no choice. She had to fall back and let the sword go free again. Gagaran had used the heavy blows at that time and also had to fall back a bit.
Litzelot didn't let them rethink a new strategy. He used his shield to bash forward. His shield collided with the shaft of Gagarans weapon, blocking it. Gagaran now tried to push back, in vain.. Litzelot used his sword to attack Lakyus. Lakyus, having many difficulties to keep blocking the attacks, prepared to use an attack to the top of Litzelots head."Ad Profundis" was called out by Litzelot. Lakyus and Gagaran didn't know what happened. They were seemingly thrown over the shield of Litzelot and landed on their back. Litzelot towering over them. Both gave up this round and walked out of the way.
Evileye started with Acid Splash", while Litzelot used "Bulwark" to reinforce his shield. The Shield took the damage with no problems. Tia and Tina used the cover of the shield to Litzelots disadvantage, as they moved away from Evileye and prepared to attack Litzelots flanks. "Vermin Bane" Evileye used to cover Tia and Tina's advance. "Foggy Presence" Litzelot simply used to cover his move. Litzelot positioned himself a little closer to Evileye. When saw the fog getting thicker and thicker she tried to warn Tia and Tina, who didn't hear her in the fog. Storming out of the Fog was Litzelot. "Crystal Dagger" Evileye shouted in surprise. "Bulwark" Litzelot used as a counter again. Then he followed up with " Hoofed Nightmare '' and Evileye fell to the ground. While Undeads were immune to mind control and didn't need to sleep, Litzelot found out that instead of attacking the mind, the spell attacked the motor functions of the body by blocking the signals of the nerves. This proved quite useful to him now, and nightmarish to all he could use it on. Evileye lying on the floor was unable to move her body and could only wait and be slightly depressed about her loss.
The now clearing Tia and Tina were able to see Evileye collapsing. They tried to throw ranged knives. This didn't work on Litzelot, even at the weak points, so they slowly closed in. When they were closer, Litzelot used "Teleportation" and reappeared right behind Tia. with a fast chop, Tia was knocked out. Tina tried to help but was stopped by a "Hoofed Nightmare".
After the battle, and collecting his head, Litzelot dispelled his spells and Tia and Evileye were able to move again. Their eyes are still a little scared. Before they would fight the third round, the group came together.
"Are you alright Tia and Evileye? Can you describe what happened when you were under the spell?" Lakyus asked, interested but scared to the core by the spell.
"I am also right. It was like I had no control over my body. I could do nothing. I personally don't want to be under that spell again." Evileye spoke.
"I am an alright, evil boss but I have a slight headache. But all the cries and the clapping of heavy hooves was nerve wracking to me", Tia answered.
"I didn't hear any cries and hooves" Evileye remarks.
"must be because I am an undead, but that I could ask the caster. Maybe he can even teach me the spell. It could be useful in the next job and even after that, as it even affects undeads" were the secret thoughts of Evileye.
After a short while Lakyus walked over to Litzelot. She wanted to know what martial arts he had used on her and Gagaran.
"What happened with Gagaran and me when you used your martial art and what was the other one with the shield?" asked a curious Lakyus.
""Ad Profundis" is a technique with which I can throw the enemy over and have an opening for an attack. If I get attacked while performing it, the attacker also gets thrown."Bulwark" lets me reinforce my defense drastically and it can heal me when the damage I receive is lower than a threshold.. I could probably withstand tier six spells without a scratch." Litzelot explained. Lakyus, hearing it, was shocked. Tier three magic was no childsplay and here sits a being that can tank it away like a fortress.
"Could you teach me?" Lakyus asked, seeing potential in the techniques.
"Not right now. While I give you a chance, I don't know you that much. I only trust you because of the small one. And even trusting her is more due to a similarity we share. It is kinda naive of me. But maybe after I learn the group better" Litzelot spoke and smiled lightly at Lakyus.
Evileye saw Lakyus talking with Litzelot and waited. When Lakyus walked away, she seated herself across from him.
"What was the spell you used? Could I potentially learn it? Could you teach me the spell?" Evileye asked.
"It is an ability of my species. So I don't know if you could learn it. I wouldn't even know if I should teach it to you. How about a trade. I learn "Vermin Bane" and I am trying to teach you "Hoofed Nightmare". But I can't guarantee you are actually learning the spell." Litzelot answered.
"Is the other spell you used, "Foggy Presence" also from your species or is it a spell learned?" Evileye asked.
"It is learned," Litzelot answered, getting where she wants to go with the conversation.
" How about If I can't learn the "Hoofed Nightmare" you teach me "Foggy Presence". I could teach you "Vermin Bane" like I agreed before." Evileye sked, so she had a safe profit from the trade.
"Agreed. we could use the time till the tournament in roughly three weeks." Litzelot spoke calmly.
After the deal was made Evileye walked back to her group. Once there with her happy aura, Gagaran spoke
"Why are you so happy shorty?"
"I made an agreement between me and Litzelot. I teach him a spell and he teaches me. Though I guess he does it merely to learn something. But we will use the three weeks until the royal tournament." Evileye spoke happily, even forgetting the nickname she despised.
"Why only until then? Hadn't he agreed to help us with Renners request?" Gagaran asked
"He wants to participate in the royal tournament. I don't know why, but hey. we already need to go back to Re-Estice when we talked with E-Rantel´s Guildmaster." Evileye answered.
"Then I want to participate in the tournament as well. He is tough. And fighting in spars against people like him can only bring positive side effects." Gagaran decided, while Tia, Tina and Evileye sweatdropped.
"While I understand him by only teaching you, I don't like it" pouted Lakyus.
"He didn't decide to teach you? What did you ask and what did he answer?" Evileye asked curiously.
" I asked about his martial arts, and if he could teach me them. He declined, obviously." Lakyus continued to pout.
"Maybe we need to earn more of his trust. But you could have made him a trade offer" Evileye stated calmly. Lakyus still pouted, but less this time.

Sir Litzelot learned quite a bit today.
First was that martial arts were what he referred to as techniques. This was good since martial arts were a big puzzle to him since his arrival.
Second was that he could take down stronger individuals alone. This was reassuring, since he was not an easy prey. But It also was terrible, since he could easily be seen as a threat, heck he was seen as one since the small group of adamantites was sent after him.
Third was that he got more and more used to seeing his body move without its head. It was like a 3rd-person-shooter.
Fourth was that the techniques he used, which were tier 3, were seemingly rare around here. Otherwise Lakyus, the nice blond, wouldn't have asked him about it.
His trade with Evileye was perfect, once Litzelot thought about it though afterwards. He would gain a seemingly good cover, even when his fog was better. But he could also use this to test the group. It also gave him the opportunity to look if he could teach his spells, that he got with his racelevels, to others.
Sir Litzelot prepared for his next spar. He decided to stick with the same arsenal and look how far he could go in the next battle.

When Sir Litzelot positioned himself, blue roses decided to use the same group formation with slight tweaks. Evileye would be closer to Gagaran and Lakyus. Blue roses decided to let the assassins move to flank Litzelot after Evileyes opening. Gagaran and Lakyus would now be more less aggressive, and be the envil to the hammer.
When Litzelot counted down the group became slightly nervous, but was still determined enough. At the signal, the spar began. Evileye casted "Fly" and "Vermin Bane", while Lakyus and Gagaran retreated. Thanks to "Fly" Lakyus and Gagaran were not hit by "Vermin Bane" as the gas was sent over their heads onto Litzelot. Tia and Tina began to sprint to their respective flanks and waited. Litzelot appeared in front of Gagaran and Lakyus, both didn't see him until he sprinted out of the gas, slashed, and thrashed at him.
"Teleport" was heard as Litzelot appeared behind Evileye in the sky.
"Cadit" was heard by Lakyus and Gagaran. the Evileye fell to the ground and lost her consciousness, as she did hit the ground with her head. Tia and Tina had used "Shadow Clones", while Litzelot fell to the ground, and sent those clones at Litzelot. Meanwhile Tina and Tia moved over the flanks to Litzelots back.
"Tace Cor Tuum" was heardand when Tia and Tina looked they saw the last bits of their clones dispel. Lakyus and Gagaran now close the distance between them, seeing as the initial plan had thus far not gone well. Tia and Tina further moved into their preferred positions.
Gagaran made a wide swing while Lakyus decided to block the sword from Litzelot. Tia and Tina now attacked. The sword from Litzelot was blocked and he switched into a defensive position. When Tia and Tina closed in he used "Ad Profundis" and all were thrown over.
With this the spar was over as Litzelot stood over them.

Litzelot was more than happy about the spar. It again felt more natural with his head than before. It was also funny that blue roses thought that he did look with his torso. He was able to see everything from the place of his head, the saddle pouch on the bicorn, thus partially negating the cover from Evileye. He also decided not to give up that little piece of information for now.
After the spar, blue roses and their company prepared the camp for the night. While Evileye and Litzelot decided to take the nightshift, Litzelot stated himself as undead while Evileye simply stated the danger of Litzelot.
Litzelot used two hour of the night to sort his inventory and found a chessboard. When he found it he took it out and explained the ground rules to Evileye. They played the rest of the night. It was therefore a relaxing night for Litzelots nervous mind.
But all nights have an end and therefore the sun started to rise the next morning. Once the sun started blue roses started to get awake. They packed their things and traveled to E-Rantel. At the outskirts of the city, Litzelot prepared his head on his shoulders. He has gotten scarier and scarier.

It was a good sleep for them, except Evileye, which had a good night playing that game she learned. The rest of the way was relaxed and with happy chat. Lakyus then thought about how to explain the chain of events. It was clear that it would be quite hard to explain. But that was part of her job and she would do it.
Once near the city Litzelot was kind, or clever enough, to hide his head by putting it under a closed helmet. This would at least make movement into the city much easier.
Now they stood in front of the gates. a triumphant look on blue roses and a big chunk of scare in Sir Litzelots heart.
