Lovegood Residence July 1990:
Over the past few years Harry had acquired many more friends. He was friends with Cedric Diggory, Susan Bones, Marcus Flint (who was stuck up, a bit slow but loyal), Blaise Zabini, Cho Chang, Su Li and of course dear Luna. Luna was here seated with her friends Harry and Neville while Severus was working hard to undue the curse that would have killed Pandora if Severus, one of the best curse breakers out there had not been in the area. The children were huddled together while they waited and in the room the curse had taken place Severus was hard at work.
Moving Pandora right away would have proven fatal and that is what would have killed her had Severus not come on the scene. He left her laying where she was and quickly made a circle in chalk around her. Then he placed small mounds of soil in even spots on the circle. He placed a goblet with a potion of purity he carried with him inside the circle. Pandora very weak as she was took the goblet and drank it. Then she laid very still watching Severus work.
"It was foolish of you do work on this alone." Severus said, "that is why charms masters work as teams."
"I know, but I got excited, you are going to chew me out for sometime aren't you?" Pandora laughed, "I know better."
"That you do." Severus said, "now stay still, I have a bit more work to do, dunderheaded move on your part."
He spent the next hour working carefully and slowly and finally he felt the curse lift. Pandora was able to sit up and took the next few potions with no fuss. She knew they would taste terrible but that was the price to pay for her foolishness. That and she could not work on charms for the next six months. At least she was alive and whole. Xeno came in and gave Severus a hug, Severus was not one for such contact even with a good upbringing and he stiffened. Xeno stepped back and slapped him on the back.
"Good job that!" He said, "you save Pandora's life!"
"It's my job to do that, I cannot tell you how may dunderheads I have saved." Severus said.
"It's rare to have one person a potions master and curse breaker, lucky you are here." Xeno said.
"It is not as rare as you think, a curse breaker needs to know potions and to become one, one must have at least one mastery first." Severus replied.
"Which you got in Hogwarts." Xeno said.
"Lots of people do." Severus said.
"Oh you are one that cannot take a compliment, still we owe you Severus of house Snape." Xeno said.
"Dinner would do it." Severus replied.
Pandora went to take a bath and change and Xeno went to the kitchen to cook. It was a testament to what would have happened to him if Pandora had died, his mind would shatter and things he had loved to do would fall apart. He cooked a wonderful meal and served it up to all here. Pandora came down her long blond hair flowing down her back clad in a gown of blue straight out of the middle ages. The children thought she looked like a queen.
"Will mummy be okay?" Luna asked.
"Yes, good thing I was around." Severus replied.
"Yes it was." Harry said, "it's always good to have you around."
"Agreed." Neville said.
"Well, let us eat." Pandora said. "Thank you Severus, for saving my life."
Everyone gathered around to eat and enjoyed the food. Harry had a great time with his friends. Luna was great and the Weasleys would have been here but they were celebrating Bill becoming a master curse breaker himself and so soon after starting work with the goblins! The Weasleys were rising fast and they deserved it, after all they had lost so much in the war as had everyone and they deserve the best. Harry had seen Ginny looking at his cousin Dudley and showing interest in being his friend. She was happy to learn he could make potions and Harry wondered how Mr. Weasley would handle if his daughter did perhaps marry what amounted to a squib.

Hogwarts July 29, 1990:
Dumbledore sat at his desk thinking about his life and how it had gone. He had done so much and lived a very good and long life and he felt he did not deserve any of it. He had helped create Grindlewald and got his dear sister killed, oh she had forgiven him as had Aberforth but Dumbledore could not forgive himself. He took one of the special made lemon drops from a special plate the house elves had made him. A certain plant was not illegal in the magical world as it was used in many potions most of the healing kind. He had two containers, one the ones he gave to those who came into his office and the other well, that was for him. He looked at the small frog on his desk that showed Severus along with the heads of houses were outside his door.
"Come in Minerva, Filius, Pomona, Andromeda and Severus." Dumbledore said.
"Good afternoon headmaster." McGonagall said.
"Good afternoon." The other heads of houses replied.
"Why am I here?" Severus asked.
"You belong here even if you are an ill mannered little boy." McGonagall said.
"You know you love me." Severus replied.
"Far too cheeky! I am a married woman I will have you know!" McGonagall said. "I have you to thank for that."
"All I did was give him the antidote to the plant." Severus said, "and warded that area a bit better."
"Still can't take a compliment." Flitwick said.
"No but that is what makes him so enduring." Sprout said.
"True that." Andromeda said.
A few years back Severus had once more been in the right place at the right time and Elphinstone "Phin" Urquart had nearly died. This after he had wed McGonagall, he now lived in the castle and he had taken on a secretary role as for some reason he had grown to like doing paperwork. Everyone thought it was more for him to be closer to McGonagall as he took nearly dying away from her as a sign he needed to live with her. So he did and right now he probably was having a pint with Argus Flitch as they had become friends. Yet now there was something that had to be done, something had had not been done for at least fifty years.
"As you know we can take children ten and up at Hogwarts." Dumbledore said, "most children's magic settles around eleven but there are many that do so around ten. There are a few that should come to Hogwarts this year. Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, Hermione Granger, and Ronald Weasley, he has such magic and would do well a year early."
"You are hoping he can be a good influence on the twin terrors." Severus said.
"They are not that bad." Sprout said, "such dears around me."
"Yes they do study hard." Flitwick added.
"They can be a handful." McGonagall said, "but I do agree to let those four come this year, and about time, we have not had enough tens around here."
Severus would be the one to break the news to the Dursley family. Petunia was going to hit him with something, but he was sure she would let Harry come. After all he was powerful and a child of prophecy. The scar on his forehead showed that, even if no-one knew fully what had happened that night, that was a rumor that was going around.

Crawley July 31, 1990:
Petunia had indeed hit Severus with something, the broom she was holding as she cleaned up a mess she had made. She had a maid to clean now but she did make the boys clean up their messes and followed her own advice. So she had hit Severus with the broom when he told her Harry could come to Hogwarts at ten. Then she agreed but made him promise to look after him. Harry came down dressed early and found Remus and Severus there with his mum and dad.
"So er it's decided you go to Hogwarts this year." Vernon said stiffly. "You already finished year six as it is."
"Okay, but I am only ten?" Harry said.
"And tens can come to Hogwarts if their magic stabilizes in fact we have had up to twelve year olds that had not stabilized yet." Severus replied.
"You will not go alone, Hermione will be there as will Neville and Ron." Remus said, "it will be good for you."
"I made Severus promise to look out for you." Petunia said, "so yes you may go this year."
Harry grinned and realized this was the best birthday ever! He looked over at Dudley and felt bad, he would have one more year of infant school and be without Harry. Dudley only smiled, he wanted Harry to be happy as he was a great little brother, and yes Harry was fully part of this Dursley family. What kindness and support could do for a family.
"So you not upset I get to go a year early?" Harry asked.
"Harry you were not going to be at school with me this year anyway!" Dudley said, "you finished year six."
"Oh right, well yes, still! I don't get to see you most of the year." Harry said.
"Oh but you can." Remus said taking out a package, "open it Harry."
"Mirrors?" Harry asked.
"Tuned to you and Dudley, this way you can talk to each other." Remus replied.
"Brilliant!" Dudley said.
"Wicked!" Harry added.
The rest of the day was spent celebrating not only Harry's birthday but Neville as they celebrated their birthdays together. They went to an amusement park then came home and had cake. Hermione was there as the Weasleys were still on vacation. Susan and Cedric stopped by and Marcus sent his gift in the mail. Harry had a great birthday and what was more he was going to Hogwarts a year early! Well uncle Severus, wait he could not call him that at school!
So uncle Sev what would happen if I forgot to call you professor?" Harry asked innocently.
"Detention, with Filch, he is a good friend, he might hang you by your thumbs in the dungeon for the weekend." Severus replied.
"Really?" Harry asked.
"Yes, really."
"Sounds like he knows how to keep people in line." Vernon said with a smirk.
"I am sure he does not do that." Petunia said, "I am all for discipline but that goes too far."
"He has you help clean, what ever he can find." Severus said, "even the toilets."
"Right, I will not forget." Harry said. "I think I am going to try for Slytherin, shake up that house."
"Please do." Severus replied.
Harry grinned, it would be interesting if he could get to Slytherin, he would still be friends with everyone of course. Marcus would be in that house so he would be protected that way. Besides, he was more concerned with making friends no matter the house and really, a house was just that to him. A house, Hogwarts herself was a home for all. He was so excited, he was really going to Hogwarts this very year! He would need to get his supplies, most were in the Potter family trunk, most of the books he would need along with his mothers wand, which he had touched just this year and found to bond to him. He would not even need a new wand and could use his mothers! Hogwarts was going to be so much fun.

By now you should now cannon is not going to be followed at all. The small changes have lead to bigger ones. I did not want Harry to be super-powered because he goes to Hogwarts a year early, here this is a normal thing and yes, Ron is powerful here and has a lot to live up to. The Weasley are not poor here either and that should help. Ginny is not going to end up with Harry either.
