(Present times)
Mirajane started to fly with Chente who was in pain. She wanted to yell at her friend who was a massive idiot when it came down. Still? She wasn't that mad. Her friend was stubborn and had asked if she wanted to battle him. She had chosen to battle him. She had made the choice rather than simply started to think of what to best battle.
'Chente did grow from long ago. Years ago? He would have just tried to fight me without asking. He's still stubborn when it comes to going and getting healed.' Mirajane thought as she flew towards the guild.
Then again? There were a few reasons besides stubbornness that could explain that. She didn't want to point fingers at her old friend who had just come back into her life. It wasn't fair… Yet.
"Janey…" Chente stated while he cleared his throat to speak. "I'm sorry I had to screw up like that. I should have listened to my better judgment," Chente added with a grown while he started to clear his throat.
Mirajane sighed to herself while she started to set down. She wanted to talk to her friend who was now cradled in his arms. She wanted nothing more than to be done when it came down to it.
"It was my fault for saying it was fine to battle while you were hurt," Mirajane stated while she slowly set Chente down. "Can you walk for a bit? I'm well aware you're in a lot of pain." Mirajane added to which her friend was silent.
He said nothing while he started to be slowly set down. Chente was well aware of the fact that he was still prideful at times. Chente managed to compose himself for long enough to give a nod before he slowly sat up.
"If I wasn't? I'd be dead at the moment." Chente stated before he slowly started to follow the woman. "I will have to be honest, though. I am going to pass out any moment considering this damn wound is killing me." Chente added before he cleared his throat.
He said nothing while he closed his eyes and started to shake his head. There was nothing he could say to justify it when it came down to it. His injury was a result of his flaws. He didn't want to argue with his friend anyway. He hadn't come back to argue with his best friend. It annoyed him more than he noted.
She frowned to herself as she shook her head. She was well aware of what to do next. He was well aware of what came next when it came down to it.
He sighed while he grunted and leaned on the wall as he flashed back to memory within his mind. One which almost made him laugh when it came down to it. He said nothing while he frowned. He felt more pain start to flood into his body at the moment while he tried to push it down and out. The more he focused away from it? The less he was able to relax at the moment.
He cleared his throat before he shook his head and started to think of what best to do.
(Years ago)
Mirajane slid backward while she almost tripped to the ground before she cleared her throat. She was well aware of what to do next.
Still? She watched as her friend tossed himself forward towards her. He was well aware of what to do next when it came down to it. She was rather happy to greet Chente who dodged one of her strikes to his ribs before he threw her back.
"Sorry, Janey," Chente stated while he cleared his throat. "This was a fun fight. I'm starting to get annoyed that it's all I seem to care about." Chente added as he shook his head.
He placed a hand to his temples before he raised an eyebrow in her direction. Chente flexed his wings before he sighed and charged forward towards her.
"What else is new?" Mirajane asked before she smirked and locked fingers with the man. "It's not as much of a fight when you think about it," Mirajane stated while she kicked him back.
Chente grunted as his ribs felt enflamed. Janey was well aware of how powerful she was. She was a warrior and so was he. He needed to fight her even harder than anything.
He shook his head looked into the sky and hummed before he flexed his wings towards her. This fight got better with each second that went by. It was something he cherished.
'No. I like hanging out with Janey.' Chente said mentally as he flipped over her wings to land on her back.
"I'm not holding back, Janey," Chente stated with a smirk as he grabbed at her wings. "There are plenty of brawls and we both know that either of us can take a big hit," Chente added while he tried to grab her wings with another hit.
He was interested in what this woman did next. He was rather happy with this. He was rather hopeful that their friendship started to grow.
It did grow and he was rather happy to see it. He glared at her as he was thrown back with a shrug of her wings. He landed in a crouch and cursed to himself before he sighed to himself.
"There have been plenty of battles we've had since then and none of them were as fun as this," Mirajane stated while she clenched her fingers. "Secondly? That's pretty crap attempting to grab my wings so openly. Remember what happened last time you tried that?" Mirajane asked before she rolled her eyes at her friend.
He simply forced himself to his feet and looked at her with an amused smirk on his face. There was a spark of energy in between them as both seemed to contemplate the idea of backing down.
It wasn't an idea either seemed to give any thought. She was not going to be interested in backing down at all and it showed which meant they'd simply keep fighting to the bitter end. It didn't bother him at the end of the day.
He clenched his claws as they started to circle each other with bared fangs and energy present in each step at the moment. She had a lot on her mind and it seemed as if it wasn't to change anytime soon. If they were, to be honest with one another? They needed to not hide anything.
Chente lunged forward with his claws raised to slice at her only for her to flip to the side and try to grab him. The attempt wasn't at all something they wished to handle at the time and it showed.
Her claws almost ripped into his side as he rolled his eyes and leaned away from her grip as she did so. He flapped his wings and flew into the air as it came down to it. Chente was far more eager to engage her in combat than he appeared. The sooner that was done? The more he enjoyed it.
Still? They weren't yet done as he considered it. The fun wasn't yet done and he wasn't one to waste a chance to do something amusing when the day ended.
He spun around and seemed to dance away from her claws as he did so. The amusement was written clearly on his face as he did so.
Yes, it was honestly more amused than anything he had on hand. Still? He didn't at all enjoy battling her when it came down to it. he was honestly not once to deal with politics when it came down to it.
Mirajane smirked before she prepared to handle him. He wasn't a lot to do when it came down to it. the more topics on his mind? The less he had to prepare for.
He smiled and flexed his claws towards her with interest. This was a fine day for a battle and a fine battle to the death if he was honest with himself. All he needed was a few seconds to collect himself before anything properly really happened.
Honestly? It seemed more than likely that he was to suffer from this. Suffer a lot more than was needed and in a way that he didn't need to. It seemed as if he had a lot more on his plate. A fate he didn't entirely need and one that entirely bother her when it came down to it.
Yet she didn't want it to bother her. She didn't want it to come between them and their conflict. This was fun, and it was all that had mattered when it came down to it.
Mirajane glanced at him which made him raise an eyebrow. it was clear she wanted this battle as much as he did, a lot clearer and more sliced than anyone else. It had become a lot more interesting when it came down to it. Not as interesting as it appeared. She was ready for this battle to continue and it seemed as if she was to have a lot more time when it came down to it.
She growled and threw herself forward and into the battle with him. He scraped his claws towards her which forced him to leap to the side as she threw herself at him. Chente leaped to the side as her wings extended and almost ripped into him as he flipped into the air and away from her. It made him far more amused to see that she was trying so hard to battle her properly.
It made him smile as well, his chapped lips seeming to rip open further and further as he glanced around with annoyance. It was clear on his face that she hadn't the ability to handle problems when it came down to it. Both of them seemed rather interested in how this ended.
"Getting slow, Janey," Chente said while he pointed a tipped claw at her. "Not challenging as you usually are. Anything wrong? It's weird seeing someone who isn't exactly slow or challenging. A lot more to do at the moment and a lot more fn to be had if I'm being honest." Chente added while he tapped a finger in her direction.
She glanced at him with a raised eyebrow while he seemed to stare at her. A lot weirder if he was honest. It seemed a lot more as if they weren't to be ending today. Perhaps she had a lot harder problem on her plate.
He decided to change it. there was a lot more to be done when it comes down to it. He had been a lot more distracted anyway and he didn't wish to be so easily done with this battle if her head wasn't in the game. This battle wasn't exactly fn if he defeated her with no real effort on his part.
Still, she hadn't the ability to face her in combat. She was a lot odder when it came down to it. She raised her claws towards him only for him to smile and lower his arms to the side as he did so.
He glanced at her with a small smile written across his face as he slowly sat down to her level and sat next to her a second later. He stared at her and seemed to slowly sit next to her as he brushed off his coat and sighed.
"Janey?" Chente questioned with a raised eyebrow. "Sorry. I didn't mean that. I'm honestly really sorry. I don't want to be rude." Chente stated before he brushed off his coat once more.
She raised an eyebrow at him as he frowned and seemed almost annoyed at what he said. He wasn't one to bother her nor did he wish to start as of now.
It came a lot down to how well they had known each other for a while. He wasn't going to be one giant idiot to her when it came to their tactics and encounters when he considered it. A far grander topic. She seemed to raise an eyebrow at him
She raised it higher and higher into the air as if she was bemused by his attempt to comfort her. He said nothing more than what he wished to comment. She didn't need his annoyance when it came to this.
"Always an idiot," Mirajane stated to which Chente smiled at her. "Always. Why am I not surprised?" Mirajane questioned before she seemed to glance around.
"Maybe, but it's fun when your around, Janey," Chente stated in response and stared at her with a smirk that seemed to grow with each second, he stared at her.
She rolled her eyes at him before he became bored of her. it was clear that neither had lost a step at the moment nor did it seem to slow them down at the time. A lot more to handle as of now. Both seem rather bored of this yet said nothing at the second.
'She's almost as bored-looking as she had been 20 minutes ago when we weren't battling to the death. Then again? Maybe I'm simply seeing things. She still wants to battle me despite all the stupid things I do. Honestly? I think I need a better friend if she's this willing to handle my garbage. Maybe if I don't say anything, she'll not say anything and bother me about what I screwed up. I need to stop trying to bother her with these damn fights.' Chente mentally added before he sighed to himself.
Still? There were a few smiles between them as he slowly tapped at her with his wing. He stared at her with a smile that beamed as bright as the sky. He hadn't bothered her and it seemed as if he had a lot more to do at the moment.
Mirajane rolled her eyes and slugged him in the arm before he seemed to run an arm across the brise as he seemed to roll his eyes. He smiled at her with interest before he seemed to point at something with his tail.
"If I'm a doofus?" Chente stated before he crossed his arms towards her. "Then you're a bigger doofus," Chente stated before he smiled to himself with a lot more amusement written across his features.
She only questioned what he was going to be doing if it came down to their tactics. She was honestly curious about what to do at the moment. He was going to be interested in what to do next. He was going to be curious about what she did next considering how powerful she was and how much he wanted to rip into her. This was going to be fun; it was going to be exciting for him.
Still? There were more problems when it came down to it. There were more questions on the battlefield that neither wanted to answer at the second while he seemed to surge forward. He was going to be interested in what to do next. There was a lot more hope in their fight that he'd be curious.
He lashed out at her with his claws as he growled and watched as she brought up an arm to block his strike as he growled to himself. He leaped to the side and seemed to be curious while he circled her as he and he started to think of what to do next. He growled as he scrapped his claws along the ground and glanced at her, his wings spreading out as he surged after her.
She flipped backward as he slammed his claws into the ground, looking at her with an intense glare that told her that she wasn't done yet with this fight. He flapped his wings and slowly started to fly into the sky before he glanced around more when it came down to what this contest would do.
Good, neither was she. He didn't at all wish to be given so little attention in a real fight if they were both giving their all. It had been fun for them both, it got their blood boiling, and it made them want to cut into the other like a piece of raw meat.
It was honestly driving them crazy that they hadn't been trying to battle more often. This was going to be interesting when it came down to it. There was going to be coming to down to. He was going to be interesting as they battled one another. There was going to be a lot more between them.
It was going to be too soon when they crashed into each. They slammed into each other like bulldozers, bringing their bulk smashing into one another. It was honestly a lot happier than it came down to it. There was going to be happier at the second.
They clashed at one or another when it came down to it. They clashed their claws once more before he was going to be interested in what came down to it.
He growled before she tilted his head before he tilted his head and cracked his fingers at her. He looked around before it seemed to be ready to question what to do next.
"There will be more plans when it came down to it," Mirajane stated before she tilted her head.
