Consumed

Monique had no clue what she was doing. She knew she had to catch up with the others and tell them what had happened with Hirotaka. That wasn't something she was looking forward too. Worriedly she looked at Yori, who had lapsed into total silence. "Yori, you okay?" she worriedly asked. Yori shook her head and Monique bit her tongue. Right. Stupid question. Like, really, really stupid. They rounded a bend and Monique gasped in relief. There were the others! Uh oh. Monkey Fist was talking to Amelia. She felt Yori stiffen and started, looking quickly over. Right. The chip was still on Yori's neck! "Y-Yori..." she began. Yori suddenly broke away. "Yori!" she shouted, reaching after her.

The others started, looking quickly their way with eyes wide. Amelia and Monkey Fist, immediately realizing how this looked, gaspe in alarm. Amelia screamed as Yori attacked, delivering a violent kick to her stomach and sending her flying back. Amelia screamed in pain, sliding across the ground. "Amelia!" Kim exclaimed.

Yori lunged swiftly with a scowl, tessan ready to kill. Monkey Fist suddenly leapt in front of her and seized her wrists, holding her fast. "Enough of this!" he ordered sharply.

"She cannot have you!" Yori screamed in tears. She tried to fight passed.

"Of for goodness sakes, I'm not in love with her Yori!" Monkey Fist insisted, holding her back determinedly.

Monique caught up with the others, gasping a bit. Amy shot her a slightly nervous look. "Oh, uh, chipless," Monique reassured with an awkward grin. Amy relaxed and smiled a bit.

"Let go!" Yori insisted, thrashing a bit. He scowled, tightening his grip until she let out a soft cry of pain, dropping her tessan. Immediately he released her wrists and she collapsed to her knees breaking down.

"Yori! Yori, wh-what's wrong?" Ron asked immediately, deeply concerned.

"It-it's Hirotaka. Something's wrong. His chip, it's different somehow. Like it got supercharged or scrambled or something and became worse! He... he hit her..." Monique said.

"What?!" Kim exclaimed in shock. "Hirotaka? There's no way!"

"He's struck her before," Monkey Fist replied grimly. The others looked quickly at him. He grimaced and sighed. "We came across him collapsed on the ground. Yori ran to check on him. He saw her with me and let's just say big brother didn't approve of little sister's crush."

"What happened to his chip?" Drakken demanded.

Shego winced. "Ooh... Uh, that might have been me? He wasn't letting it go! He kept pursuing me and I was focused on getting Killigan and Hirotaka was in the way, so I... kind of sort of maybe ducked his head in the duck trough and lit up the plasma just to make sure he wouldn't be coming up again?"

"Shego!" Kim said.

"What? He was asking for it! I mean, we kind of all were but, y'know, crime of opportunity," Shego said.

Yori sniffed, a hand covering her face. Amelia watched her in open concern. "Y-Yori?" she uncertainly asked, reaching out. Yori shied away and Amelia winced, withdrawing her hand.

"The rest of you take Amelia and go. I ensure Yori doesn't follow," Monkey Fist said. "Fill Monique in too how about. Where is Fukushima?" Monique's eyes filled with devastation and Monkey Fist bristled, eyes widening a little. "Where is Fukushima?" he asked darkly a second time.

"He stayed to try and talk down Hirotaka," Monique replied. "But the way things were going, it looked like they were headin' for a fight real quick."

Monkey Fist was silent. "Go," he finally said. "Keep an eye out for them why don't you? If anything is going wrong, let me know."

"Aye," Killigan agreed.

Kim went over to Amelia and offered her hand in concern. Amelia took is and Kim pulled her to her feet. "Come on. Let's get out of here." Amelia nodded, eyes worriedly on Yori.

KP

Yori, breathing speeding up, suddenly shot to her feet and tried to go after Amelia again. Monkey Fist caught her a second time, scowling. "Stop," she said, struggling against him. "Let me go! She cannot take you from me! I will not let her!"

Scoffing, Monkey Fist turned her sharply around to face him and held her upper arms firmly but not tightly. "Yori, listen to me! Look at me!" She sniffed, gazing angrily up at him. "This isn't you. It isn't any of us!"

"Let go!" Yori screamed, trying to pull away from him. He scowled. She was breaking away so he quickly spun her around, pinning her front-first against a wall. She tensed up, eyes wide and somewhat fearful. Annoyed, Monkey Fist brushed aside her chip and searched the back of her neck for the chip. He started. It was starting to sputter. Why? Oh who cared. The point was it looked about ready to let go.

Yori shivered in Monkey Fist's grasp, pinned against the wall. His body was pressed so close to hers... She could feel every motion down to the steady rise and fall of his chest as he breathed. Oh gods, the Moodulator was driving her insane and all she wanted to do was throw herself into his arms! The way he had her pinned, though, ensured no such nonesense happened. The part of her still grasping for control was glad for that, but was far more overwhelmed by the part of her still under the Moodulator's control. She sobbed, unsure of why she was suddenly so afraid yet so desperate for his embrace. Monkey Fist grimaced. Monkey Fist harrumphed and took hold of the sputtering chip, pulling at it, but it refused to be removed from her skin. Damn Bortel. Sighing in annoyance, he turned her gently around to face him. "Do you realize you aren't in control of your own desires right now?" he asked.

She gazed up into his eyes silently. "Yes," she finally said. Oh how well she knew it, because she certainly could never feel anything akin to this for an enemy… Could she...? She quickly banished the thought.

"Good, then keep fighting to regain that control. I simply cannot be bothered dealing with you losing your head at every other woman I deign to speak to and chasing me around like some lovesick puppy. I get enough of that from DNAmy. At least with her I have the willpower to continuously deny the advances." He stiffened, eyes widening upon realizing what he'd just said. "Wait! That didn't come out right." She stared at him with wide eyes looking surprised. All at once she leapt onto him, wrapping her legs around his waist and taking his lips passionately. His arms automatically went around her body, his eyes wide. He could hardly believe what she'd just done! He could hardly believe part of him actually enjoyed it. Curse the blasted Moodulator's and their lingering effects! Just then he heard a sputtering zap. The chip on the back of her neck was giving out! Quickly he reached back there, seizing the device and pulling it off her. He pushed her away as soon as he did so and for a moment they just stayed there staring at one another. It took him a little too long to realize her legs were still wrapped around his waist and that he was in fact looking up at her. Once he did, he started and paled.

With as much grace and dignity as she could recover, she climbed off him blushing furiously. He stood stock still trying to wrap his head around what had just happened. "Right then," he finally said, closing his fist around the chip and crushing it. "Now that that's over we can..."

"Forgive me," she cut off, hanging her head ashamedly and closing her eyes. "My actions were misguided and unintentional."

"We've all been there tonight," he replied, turning away from her.

All at once he felt a crushing kick being delivered to his chest! He cried out in pain, flying back and sliding across the ground. He had definitely heard something crack, he realized. He shook his head and sat up straight, gasping as his chest screamed in protest.

"Monkey Fist!" Yori exclaimed in alarm, looking after him.

Monkey Fist shook his head and looked up at his attacker with a gasp. "Hirotaka!" he exclaimed in shock. Why were the ninja boy's eyes so devoid of emotion?!

"You will not touch my sister," Hirotaka growled lowly. Monkey Fist and Yori caught their breath. Ooh, this could be bad.

Elsewhere

"This remote seems to be behaving rather oddly," Senor Senior said, examining the device that was apparently controlling these 'Moodulators' Sensei had filled he and Maim in on. To say they had been horrified was an understatement. "There may be something wrong with one of the chips that is causing the Moodulator controller to behave in this manner," Senior said.

"You know science?" Maim asked, surprised.

"Not a great deal, Senora, but enough to get by and be somewhat formidable with it. Why, I once rigged Kim Possible's friend, Wade Lode's, Cupid Ray invention up to the speakers at a very large concert in an attempt to control the minds of thousands," Senior answered. It was a bit of a boast, yes, but he was entitled to it. Rufus whimpered, seeing the control screen switching rapidly between the various emotions.

"Do not worry, Rufus-san. Everything will be alright," Sensei said. It was more to convince himself than anyone else, though. His worried and stressed expression was enough to give that much away at least. The old man looked up. "There is the fair. We must hurry."

Abandoned Fair

Fukushima, racing around trying to find Hirotaka, was getting increasingly more anxious. "Hirotaka! Hirotaka! Coward, stop hiding! Hirotaka!"

"Fukushima?!" he heard Kim's familiar voice call. He gasped, looking quickly back. He saw the others running towards him in a group.

"You're okay!" Monique exclaimed, throwing herself into his arms. He hugged her briefly before pushing her back. "Where is Hirotaka? Has anyone seen him? He threw down a smoke pellet and disappeared and just... He is on the hunt, I know he is. If he is on the hunt then this is not good."

"Should Ah be worried?" Killigan uncertainly asked.

"Very!" Fukushima replied. "Hope that it is not you he is hunting. No crowd will save you then. Not if he has gone full Shinobi."

"Oh wonderful," Killigan sarcastically replied, rolling his eyes hopelessly.

"It seems things have gotten very bad," a new voice suddenly said from behind. They all gasped, turning quickly.

"Sensei!" Ron exclaimed, eyes widening. "Wait. Nanny Maim too? And Senor Senior?! What's going on?!"

"Where is Hirotaka?" Sensei demanded.

"No one knows," Monique fearfully replied. "Sensei, bad things are happening. Real bad."

"Tell me everything," Sensei urgently said. As quickly as they could they filled him in on the situation, Sensei's eyes widening a bit in horror and his jaw dropping a bit. It was the most emotion they had ever seen on the man's face to date.

"Yori. He has gone after Yori!" Sensei said.

"Wh-what? Why?" Wade asked.

Sensei looked quickly at him, silently judging his age and determining how to say whatever it was he needed to say without scarring him.

"The moodulator chip on Hirotaka's neck is beyond our control. The remote has no effect on it. If anything, it is now dictating what the remote shows. Judging by Hirotaka's actions, I fear he may be stuck in an emotional abyss. A state devoid of any human feeling at all. If emotion comes at all, it comes with ferocity. This makes him extremely dangerous and volatile. He has gone after Yori for her perceived infatuation with Monkey Fist. It is very likely he hunts Monkey Fist as well. He does not approve of the match, and so he will do whatever he must to stop it from taking place."

"Honor killing. You're talking honor killing," Wade numbly said, eyes wide. Sensei looked at him in surprise. "I'm not totally naive you know! I know what those are!"

"Good heavens," Nanny Maim said, sounding a bit faint and wavering unsteadily. Senior, worried now, steadied her gently.

"No," Amelia gasped, putting a hand to her head in shock.

"Yori, Hirotaka!" Fukushima shouted, taking off in a dash to try and find them again.

"Fukushima!" Monique cried after him, reaching out.

"Do not follow!" Sensei quickly said as the others prepared to pursue the ninja.

"But if Fukushima gets in the way..." Ron began. He trailed off.

Sensei nodded solemnly. "I know. He, Yori, and Monkey Fist together, though, might make a stand," the old man said. "If there is no one else they must worry about."

"We can't just stand here doing nothing, Master!" Kim protested.

"If the Moodulator has consumed his mind, he has spiralled out of control into a sociopathic state. No remorse, no regret, nothing. Nothing will frighten him, death will not be his enemy, he will kill without qualm... He has become like a trapped animal with nothing left to lose, and there will be no casualty too great if it means obtaining his goal. The emotions he feels, if he feels them at all, will be dark ones. Extremes in every sense of the word. Maddening jealousy, out-of-control rage, obsessive love, insatiable lust..."

"And all of it directed towards Yori and Monkey Fist!" Kim exclaimed in dismay.

"Oh gods!" Monique exclaimed, holding her head in her hands and suddenly feeling extremely stressed.

"He won't hurt her! He can't!" Ron blurted. "Not Yori! Not for anything!"

"Oh yes he can," Shego grimly said, lighting up the plasma. This was very, very bad now. This had stopped being humorous at this point. Now it was downright dark. Hana began to wail and scream so loudly they could have almost believed she understood the fate that might befall her siblings.

"You say that perhaps Fukushima, Yori, and Monkey Fist can take him on as one. Together. How skilled and dangerous is this young man? Truly?" Senior asked.

"I do not know what the moodulator has made him capable of. His skill without it, though, is unparalleled in the history of Yamanouchi. Not even by Yori or Fukushima," Sensei said.

"He winded me in a fight that lasted only a few seconds," Kim said numbly in realization. "He's a ninjitsu and martial arts master! How are we supposed to stop him without driving him into some kind of suicide rush and causing him to hurt the others?!"

Sensei, expression torn, hung his head miserably. They saw tears threatening the old man's eyes... "No," Amelia breathed, her own widening in fear.

"Why, you cannot possibly mean... Execution?" Maim asked in horror, skin ashen.

Sensei looked miserably up. "If Yori, Fukushima, and Monkey Fist fail, Hirotaka is beyond the point of return. Yes... I-I allude to death."

"No!" Amelia screamed, suddenly bolting.

"Amelia!" Monique cried.

"Let her go," Sensei said, watching after the young woman. Even the villains looked disturbed and torn. This was getting rough even for them at this point.

Meanwhile

"Hirotaka, you do not understand. The Moodulator is gone, it is all right, brother, we…" Yori began, moving to her brother and putting a hand on his shoulder. Suddenly he whirled and struck her violently. She cried out in pain, covering her cheek in shock. She swiftly looked back up, meeting her brother's eyes with horror plain in her own.

Monkey Fist gasped. Had he really just seen what he thought he'd seen? Had… had the boy actually struck his own sister for a third time?! "What are you doing? What's gotten into you?" Monkey Fist demanded, scrambling to his feet. He knew, of course, what the answer was, but it was probably best not to point out the moodulator to the young man right now. It would give him a sense of what to guard.

"H-Hirotaka…" Yori said in shock, looking into her sibling's eyes. Why could she find no emotion there? Why were they so dead? Surely not even a corrupted Moodulator could do this to him! "Brother, what has happened to you?" she breathed. She screamed in pain as his whole demeanor darkened and he struck her even harder, knocking her to the ground. She sobbed and looked up at him in terror.

"Enough!" Monkey Fist snapped, seizing Hirotaka's shoulder and spinning him around. Hirotaka shrugged off the hand and backed away in a fighting stance. Monkey Fist gasped. Why did he suddenly feel an overwhelming sense of dread while looking at the ninja? He backed off ever so slightly. "You will not strike your sister again," he said in a calmer tone.

"You have dishonored my family's name," Hirotaka replied. Turning to Yori, who looked up at him from the ground in shock, he added, eyes like ice, "As has she."

"Brother... Brother, I have done nothing wrong! Please…!" Yori pled. Hirotaka lunged at her. She screamed, preparing to fight back, but Monkey Fist quickly moved into her brother's path and forced him away from her, quickly and roughly. Yori quickly scrambled to her feet.

"The only one of you showing any dishonor to your family is you, boy!" Monkey Fist spat at Hirotaka, his every muscle poised for battle as adrenaline dulled the pain in what was very likely a cracked or broken rib.

Hirotaka scowled then suddenly let out the darkest and most menacing laugh Monkey Fist had ever heard. The British Lord's eyes widened and Yori dropped into a reluctant fighting stance. "What has the chip done to him?" she fearfully asked Monkey Fist.

"I don't know," Monkey Fist replied, but he was ready to pull out the the Mystical Monkey Powers if he had to.

Except he didn't get the chance...

All at once Hirotaka was attacking him violently with skill unlike any Monkey Fist ever recalled the boy having! Clearly he'd been holding back. Both Monkey Fist and Yori were kept busy dodging Hirotaka's blows and throwing in their own attacks wherever they could. "Hirotaka, you do not know what you are doing!" Yori insisted.

She screamed as he seized her arm and spun her around, slamming her against a wall and pressing himself flush against her body. "Sister, I know what I am doing," he growled lowly at her in a tone that made her shudder. Panic overcame her when her brother suddenly dropped a lingering kiss upon the back of her neck. She let out a scream. His kiss was not the way a brother should kiss!

"No!" she screamed. All at once Hirotaka was yanked viciously away from her. Monkey Fist! Yori spun around, eyes wide in horror. The British Lord threw the young man to the ground and leapt on top of him, viciously attacking. His eyes blazed, Monkey Hands and feet pinning Hirotaka so firmly that the young man could hardly even move to try and fight back. "Stop, you will kill him!" Yori cried, lunging and pulling Monkey Fist away from her brother and getting in between them.

"Yori, listen to me! If your brother cannot be stopped he'll end up dead either way!" Monkey Fist shouted. Yori looked like she'd been struck and glanced quickly back at her scowling brother. All at once Hirotaka lunged with a shout! Yori gasped, catching the attack and doing her best to fight him off! "Yori!" Monkey Fist exclaimed. Hirotaka threw her down onto the ground and brother and sister began rolling across the floor, tearing into one another. Monkey Fist stared, mouth agape, then shook his head, snapping out of it, and threw himself into the fray with a shout so it became a two-on-one.

For a moment they held their ground, even getting Hirotaka to give up some of his own, but suddenly Hirotaka managed to get a good hold on Monkey Fist and threw him to the side before spinning around in time to catch the man's recovery strike. Hirotaka ducked, dodging between Monkey Fist's legs. Monkey Fist gasped, spinning around in preparation for another attack. "Kunai!" Yori screamed. The simian lord realized just a fraction too late what she meant...

KP

Before Monkey Fist could even react, he felt a searing pain rip through him and let out an agonized monkey shriek! He looked down in shock. Hirotaka had drawn two kunai and lunged at him, driving them into his body until he could go no deeper. With a shout, Hirotaka lifted Monkey Fist into the air with the weapons and threw the noble back over his head before spinning and driving the two kunai into him again, carving through his flesh. Monkey Fist screamed again in agony, another monkey-like sound.

Yori gaped in horror, eyes wide. "No!" she screamed, lunging at her brother and tearing him off Monkey Fist. She recovered quickly, unfurling her two tessan just in time to block Hirotaka's kunai.

"Witch," Hirotaka spat.

"Hirotaka, brother, come back to me, please! Please come back! Come back!" Yori begged. For a moment, just a moment, she thought she saw a brief flicker of her brother again, a hint of hesitance, but it faded as quickly as it had come! Hirotaka, fight, I beg you! Fight! Can you even see what you are doing?!" she pled through tears as she fought her brother. Hirotaka suddenly ducked, tripping her. She cried out as she hit the ground and he seized her from it again, throwing her violently towards Monkey Fist. She landed on top of the gravely wounded Monkey Master. He cried out again in agony. Yori looked back down at him in fear, feeling his blood soaking through her shozoku. "No! No, please no," she begged, seeing the man's eyes starting to dull and his skin turning ashen. "Do not close your eyes, my lord. Do not close your eyes!"

Breathing rapidly and painfully, Monkey Fist clenched his teeth in agony. Oh, he was trying his very best not to. "Sister, if you care so deeply for the fate of this man, then join him in it," Hirotaka icily said, approaching them purposefully. She looked numbly back at her brother in horror. He lunged at her, murder in his eyes, and she gripped her tessan, preparing to either finish this or fight back. It would depend on how well she had it timed and how accurately Hirotaka predicted her next move.

Only move... He would be ready for it.

"Hirotaka, stay your blades!" a voice suddenly shouted. Yori gasped as Fukushima suddenly dove between Hirotaka and her and Monkey Fist, blocking her brother's kunai with his sais.

"Fukushima!" Yori exclaimed in relief. Fukushima shot her and Monkey Fist a panicked glance before quickly focusing on Hirotaka again and shoving his friend back. Quickly Fukushima stood up straight and prepared for whatever came next.

KP

Fukushima gazed, mouth agape, at his best friend. Hirotaka, recovering his balance, looked directly into his eyes. The younger ninja paled at what he saw what was in them. Nothing. No emotion, no empathy, no recognition, no mercy, n anything. They were almost blank. He sensed fury and hatred unlike anything he'd ever felt before radiating off Hirotaka's body. Shivers ran up and down his spine. "Oh gods… Brother, what has happened to you?" he asked. He knew he must be repeating the same question Yori must have asked many times already.

"You dare to stand in my way as well, Fukushima?" Hirotaka lowly asked.

"You do not know what you are doing," Fukushima replied. With a battle shout, Hirotaka lunged. Fukushima gasped and began blocking the blows and throwing in his own. "My brother, listen to me, you would have killed your sister!"

"She has dishonored our family!" Hirotaka replied.

"In what way?!" Fukushima demanded.

"By loving him," Hirotaka replied, casting a scathing look at the steadily weakening Monkey Fist who Yori was now trying desperately to save, staunching the flow of blood.

"Hirotaka, the Moodulator is gone. She is not in love with him any longer," Fukushima insisted. "Whatever they did, whatever you saw, it was not her! Just as this is not you!" Hirotaka spun around, throwing an attack at Fukushima. Fukushima cried out in pain as the blades slashed him. He staggered back and narrowly managed to avoid being impaled. He delivered a vicious kick to Hirotaka's abdomen, and each moment he dreaded more and more that Hirotaka would instigate Destined Sacrifice, his finishing move.

Fukushima had been one of the top students in Yamanouchi. So had Yori. Hirotaka, though, had bested them both, and they both had known it. Hirotaka went on the attack again, every move like poetry. Fukushima knew he was running out of options. Soon he would have no choice but to use his own signature move, Deceitful Motive! Sure enough, Hirotaka lunged and Fukushima had had enough. The younger ninja dodged the attack and spun around behind his friend. Swiftly he lunged with his Sais. Hirotaka spun to block, and Fukushima dropped low, abandoning the attack and tripping him. Hirotaka fell and Fukushima seized his friend from the ground, spinning then re-pinning Hirotaka upon the cement, this time on his stomach. He pressed one of his sais against the back of Hirotaka's neck where the chip was.

KP

Hirotaka froze immediately, feeling the point of the sais pressing against his skin. Panting, Fukushima waited until Hirotaka stopped struggling. He knew that when he got off, Hirotaka would not refrain from renewing the fight, but he couldn't kill his friend, he just couldn't! Perhaps if he put Hirotaka to sleep instead…? His hesitation, however, cost him. Suddenly, Hirotaka bucked his hips and rolled over, throwing Fukushima off him. Fukushima shouted out then leapt quickly up, moving himself between Hirotaka and Yori, who was still trying to keep Monkey Fist alive. Hirotaka looked ready to kill, twirling his kunai in his hands.

"Enough! Hirotaka, enough. I do not want to fight you," Fukushima pled.

"I will finish them, Fukushima. Even if I must kill you to do so," Hirotaka warned evenly.

"He isn't going to just finish her!" Monkey Fist blurted before coughing blood.

"Stop! Stop," Yori pled. "Do not speak." She looked towards Fukushima. "Fukushima, he needs your healing skill!" Fukushima gasped, looking quickly back. That was his mistake. Hirotaka leapt on the opportunity, lunging and stabbing Fukushima in the side! Fukushima screamed in pain, collapsing to the ground and clutching the wound. Viciously he cursed Hirotaka in Japanese. He had been a prime target for a kill, though, and Hirotaka had refrained! Surely that was a good sign, right? A hint that there was still something of his friend left? Hirotaka went at Yori once more. Yori gasped and was forced to abandon Monkey Fist. Quickly she leapt up, catching her brother's attack and locking them in a spar.

"Monty!" a frantic voice cried. Nanny Maim! The others had come!

KP

"Monty!" Maim screamed again, trying to run to her son. Senior held her back, pale. It wasn't hard to tell that the puddle beneath Monkey Fist wasn't water, and Fukushima was clutching his side. They noticed drops falling from between his fingers and realized what had happened.

"Fukushima!" Monique exclaimed, racing towards him.

All the while, Hirotaka and Yori danced around tearing into each other viciously. Thank the gods Wade had stayed behind to watch Hana. Sensei had refused to allow the young boy to accompany them. Apparently he had been right to do so.

"Fukushima!" Monique cried, racing to him.

"Monty!" Killigan exclaimed, pale. Quickly he and Drakken ran to the English Lord's side.

Maim broke free of Senior and raced to her child as well. "Son!" she cried, dropping next to him and gently lifting her boy's head before gasping and holding him tightly to her chest with a sob of grief and fear.

She could feel her child dying in her arms...

Fervently Drakken worked to save him. DNAmy raced over to help. She had more medical knowledge than her colleague did.

"Tha's et. The ninja laddie es goin' down!" Killigan furiously ranted, scowling and looking towards Hirotaka.

"Fukushima!" Monique said, quickly taking his arms.

"I am fine!" he insisted, binding a sash around his injury. "Stay out of the way!" Immediately he raced towards Hirotaka and Yori again. This time, though, Kim, Ron, and Sensei were in tow. Monique looked frantically around. Where was Amelia, she worriedly wondered.

Killigan went to join the heroes, but Amy grabbed his arm quickly. "Duff, no! You won't stand a chance!" she insisted.

"Do no' worry about me, lassie," Killigan reassured, squeezing her hand before pulling away.

"Be careful!" she blurted desperately as he raced off. He waved back without turning around and Amy turned her attention worriedly to Monkey Fist once more. It was strange. For some reason she felt more worried about Killigan than Monty this time...

KP

Hirotaka at last managed to stagger Yori and spin her around before pulling her flush against his body and placing a kunai against her throat. He turned to face the attackers approaching them with a vicious scowl. They slid to a stop, gasping all at once. "H-Hiro, dude, chill," Ron said.

Hirotaka laughed a dark and wicked laugh, and they felt chills running down their spines. "I am, as you say, 'chill,'" he replied.

"So not chill," Monique squeaked.

"Hirotaka, stop! Please. This isn't you! Look at what you're becoming!" Kim insisted.

"My child, do you realize that your very life hangs in the balance?" Sensei questioned gently.

Hirotaka was silent, staring at him, and again there was a moment of hesitation, a spark of light that showed he was attempting to fight, but once more it faded as quickly as it had come. Nonetheless, he shifted a bit uncomfortably.

"His life es already forfeit ef Ah catch him afore ye," Killigan darkly growled, scowling at the young man.

That, of course, only seemed to trigger the darkness again. Wickedly Hirotaka smirked, relishing the challenge, and as if to taunt them bent and pressed another lingering kiss to his sister's neck. Again, it was not the sort of kiss a brother should give to his sister. The others shuddered at the sight.

"It is not your sister who will have dishonored your family if you go through with this," Fukushima reasoned carefully.

"Honor is only an excuse," Hirotaka replied with a smirk, backing away with Yori as his hostage. Yori sobbed in fear, sensing her brother's intent. The Moodulator was doing this to her loved one, and she could do nothing about it. Suddenly Hirotaka whipped out a smoke pellet and threw it down! Yori screamed as her brother dragged her roughly away from the others.

"After them!" Sensei ordered immediately. Rufus gasped and jumped down to the ground, darting ahead. The smoke cleared and they looked around for any sign of Hirotaka. There was none. Suddenly they heard Rufus squeaking and chattering and spotted him waving them over. Immediately they raced to follow the naked mole rat.
