Chapter 3: Welcome to Paris, The City of Love(Keith's POV)

Keith opens his eyes, and sees someone in a cat costume with blonde hair and green eyes staring at him.

He sits up quickly and pushes himself away from the cat person. "Who are you?"

The cat person replies, "That's my line! My name is Chat Noir, and I am one of the heroes of Paris!"

"I'm Keith Kogane, and I am an ordinary person."

The hero, anyway, eyed him suspiciously. Oh right, the clothes! He had to put on a purple jumpsuit in order to fight the Blade of Marmora for the blade he has. Which is conveniently lying beside him. How the hell would he be able to come up with a good enough excuse to warrant his outfit and the wounds? Well this hero fights against crime, but it wouldn't explain the jumpsuit. He could just say that this is a jogging outfit and tripped…

"Why are you wearing a jumpsuit and where did those injuries come from?"

"I was jogging and I tripped." Keith says all too bluntly. Like that it was obvious he was in a jogging suit and just happened to trip. Anyway, why is the cat hero here? Shouldn't he have hero stuff to do instead tend to an injured person like him.

"So you didn't see Ladybug?"

Who the hell is Ladybug? And what kind of superhero name is that? It's just the animal. At least the cat hero had the decency to add his color to make his name sound cooler instead of just Chat. Which is the French term for cat…. Is he in France? How did he get here all the way from the space base of the Blades to here? That shouldn't be possible! And he can even understand what Chat Noir is saying. Which should also be impossible. But whatever, he's here now and with no way home better make the best of it.

"No, I didn't see your partner! After I tripped I rolled onto my side for a breather. I did hear a fight going though. Nothing else."

"Well then I saw a friend of mine close to here. I'll have him take care of you, as I have to find Ladybug."

With that the hero got up and walked away from him. Finally, now he can collect his thoughts without having to answer any of the hero's questions. Keith picks up the knife beside him. It was his mother's, and he had to fight for it. But that fight was cut short because he arrived in Paris somehow. Could the Ladybug person be connected to it all? Chat said that he hadn't seen her so? And how could he speak and understand French all of a sudden? Damm! His brain is failing to connect anything. All he knows is that Ladybug disappeared, he somehow got to France, and that there are heroes here.

Keith growls as he tries to rack his brain. This is what he gets for becoming a pilot and not continuing his education at a school.

School! He looks about high-school age, which means he'll probably have to attend a highschool here. His knowledge would be very limited. He isn't as smart as Hunk, Pidge or Shiro. Crap!

"Hey, are you the guy Chat wants me to take home?" asks a boy in his teens. He also has blonde hair, green eyes, but he is wearing a normal outfit. A white jacket with a black shirt with three stripes that are yellow, green and purple, he wears blue jeans and orange sneakers to complete the look.

"Yes."

"Okay, do you need help getting.."

"I'm fine! I can do it myself."

He gets up and dusts the dirt off of his jumpsuit.

"Keith Kogane." Keith says to the boy curtly. He doesn't want to be rude, but if he goes back home he can't afford to have attachments here. Though he shouldn't be rude. Guess that's a habit of when he was a kid, always pushing people away from him. Back then it was because his mom left him with his dad, now it's because he wants to go home to the Castle of Lions.

"Adrien Agreste!" The boy chirps clearly not noticing his earlier rude tone. Which stuns Keith completely. How did this boy ignore a social cue that every other kid Keith has been around has picked up?

"So, ah, Adrien. How do you know Chat Noir?"

"He's saved me a couple of times during akuma attacks and we've been friends since."

That's an odd reason to be friends, but Keith guesses it's no weirder to be forced to pilot a lion of Voltron with four people you barely know, except one and a ten thousand year old princess and her butler. So yes in terms of weirdness his friendship with the other paladins, minus Shiro, Allura and Coran is more weird than Adrien's friendship with Chat Noir.

"What's your story?"

"I am not going to open up to you just cause you're the second person I've engaged in an actual conversation with in this city!"

Adrien still smiles, "Well then we'll get to know each other! Looks like someone stole your wallet from what Chat Noir said about you. So you're going to be stuck in Paris for a while. Bad place to trip and lie down for a nap. I'll get my dad's secretary to enroll you in my school so we can be friends!"

"Wow, you really want to be friends."

Keith inwardly sighed. Why did Chat Noir have to stick him with this ball of sunshine? He didn't want to make attachments, yet he already had someone begging to be his friend. First person to do so since Shiro. Which is odd, but considering his peer beside him doesn't know anything about him except what little he told Chat Noir.

Someone who actually doesn't hate him when they first meet. A miracle, considering all he's done to the majority of people is piss them off.

"Of course! I want more close friends than just Nino, Alya and Marinette. You'll be my fourth!"

Is Adrien seriously counting how many close friends he has like a literal child? Did he just come from homeschooling or something? Was he in an egg? Of course he wasn't in a literal egg, but still. It's like he's just cracked out of an egg shell!

"Well then Adrien you'll be my first close friend."

Shiro doesn't count because he considers him as his older brother and not a friend at all. And the others are just friends at this point, maybe family. Still too early to tell, but after everything they've been through probably more like family than friends.

"You've never had a close fri"

"Adrien, what are you doing?! You were expected home a few minutes ago!"

"Lady I don't know who you are, but Adrien being home a few minutes late shouldn't be a big deal. If he didn't text you that he would be home like an hour late then you have reason to worry!"

Keith glares at the lady with blue hair and one streak of red. She's wearing a business suit and that must mean she must be the father's secretary.

He is glad Adrien has caring parents but this was too far. He wished he still had parent's but if his parents were going to go overboard he would do the same thing he did to the secretary. Adrien should be able to live his life without doting parents that make that life more complicated. The parents should be worrying, but not to this extent.

"Um, Adrien, who is this?"

"He's someone who needs to be enrolled into my school and made a permanent guest here. I'm lonely and you and my father are always busy. He's my age. He lost his wallet and he might need fake records. Natalie please don't make him go away. I promise that he will be a good influence on me. In fact if he gives his permission Keith can do my lessons with me."

How did he get dragged into this? Well he does need a place to stay and going to school and doing Adrien's lessons doesn't seem like a bad trade off.

"Sure, I don't mind doing lessons with you. And if the master of the house wants me to do anything else I'll do it in order to stay here."

" Mr. Agreste won't like it. But I see that you made up your mind, and he's willing to do your lessons with you. Maybe we could also have him model. He's handsome enough. He'll just need to train before he officially model's for our brand. And he is willing to put up with whatever your father does. I suppose he can stay as long as he upholds his promise. I shall report this to your father while you get this young man presentable."

Adrien smiles and leads him through the front gate. The house is almost as big as the Castle of Lions. And as white as it too. But why would the secretary.. He understands now, this is just his theory, but he thinks that the secretary actually cares for Adrien's happiness. And is willing to go through minimal amounts of making Adrien happy.

She's like a distant mother, though how should he know cause he never had a mother around.

When he steps into Adrien's room he's astounded at the size of it. He knew mansions are pretty big, but this room defies all logic. It's basically like this the only place Adrien is allowed in the house as tons of things for entertainment are in the room. And there's a T.V.

All he had growing up was a shack, the orphanage, and the room at the Galaxy Garrison Shiro provided him with. Never something as fancy as this.

"Also before you meet my father we'll have to cut off your mullet, as I don't think that'll make you respectable to him or make you look like a good influence."

Keith touches his hair underneath his neck. Cut his hair? Thai is the style it's always been, it's a part of him. But if he has to cut it, so be it.

"Fine." It comes out more strained than he wanted. But Adrien takes no notice as he grabs scissors.

"Alright come to the bathroom."

Keith reluctantly floors Adrien into the fancy bathroom. He sits down rigidly and takes a deep breath. Adrien smiles at him and holds some of Keith's raven hair in his hand. He watches as the hair falls off when Adrien cuts it, and as he shaves the back of his neck.

When Adrien is done his big poofy front is still there but there's no hair sticking out behind his ears, though the back is still poofy so a much shorter version of Adrien's haircut in a sense. He is surprised that Adrien actually did a good job cutting his hair. He then wonders what would Shiro think of it?
