Chapter 14: Saving Thace(Marinette's POV)

She made it, onboard the galra ship. So far no sentries have noticed her. Which is just fine with Marinette. Although the way the lighting is on this ship, makes it look like she's in a world where the a dim purple veils every color, or that could just because every to her looks purple in the ship.

Focus Marinette, you can't let yourself get distracted. To the engine room. Only one more straight corridor left after this turn.

But she can't remember which way to go. Was it left or right, she knew she should have kept her mouth shut at the Princess, and kept memorizing, but Allura infuriated her sometimes.

Calm yourself down Marinette, you can do this. Just remember when Kolivan was pointing the route out ..."AHHHHHHHH!" Marinette turns her head quickly to the right, that was a scream. Anything about urgentency fades as she rushes to where the sound came from. Another scream sounds off and she follows her instincts.

She bursts through the door as she hears another scream, coming from behind it.

And the setup she finds makes her seethe with rage. In a blind flash she knocks out the strange Galrans standing over a battered and bruised one, who hanged on a table with his feet and arms chained to the table. It's tilted up, and she can clearly see that they were about to totrure him some more, or kill him.

She presses a button on a table near the table holding the Galran down. The chains unlock and she quickly rushes to him before he falls face first into the ground.

Who is this guy? Why would the Galra...Unless he's Thace, the guy Kolivan told us who went MIA sometime, and that they couldn't contact him for the mission.

"Why'd you come?" Thace rasps, like he is tired from all the pain the other Galrans inflicted on him.

"Because I heard you being in pain. And it's just in my nature to help people."

"Well thank you."

"Also you wouldn't happen to know where the engine room is?"

Thace gives her a confused look, "Of course I know where….Oh. You're a part of team Voltron! Then that must mean that I, I forced you to do what I have to do in order for the plan to work! I shouldn't have gone after that chip."

He scowls, "I was careless, leaving the chip there and going to get it back. I should have known someone would have noticed it."

" Well, everyone makes mistakes. Even Voltorn," Marinette says in a flustered response.

"I mean, how else would they have become the great heroes that they are?"

Thace gives her a lopsided smile, because of the injuries the Galra inflicted on his face.

Which kind of reassures her that she made the right choice. Coming here. She lets Thace guide her to the engine room. It has a railway leading to some sort of desk or control thing. The room is circular and if you fall off the railway, well she doesn't know if she would hit solid ground or fly into the vacuum of space.

Thace gets to work and she keeps watch. After the ruckus she made some soldiers must be coming after them now, or at least they should. Or are they getting reinforcements?

As soon as she thought that, Galra soldiers burst in and start to shoot. She grabs her bayard and it transforms into a red yo-yo. She quickly, and fluidly spins the yo-yo to create a shield for her and Thace.

And then Thace says to her, "Jump! I can take care of the shields by myself."

"I'm not leaving you!"

"Yes you are!" Marinette feels Thace push her off the bridge and watches as a bright light engulfs the entire room. Terror engulfs her, as she thinks that Thace sacrificed himself for the good of the mission.

Gabriel's POV

He suppresses a smile. His interview with Keith was lovely. Keith didn't talk back, only told him the truth. That his mother left him, and that made him think that he didn't deserve love. And that only one person, his dad, made him feel loved.

But then his dad died when he was only seven and he went deeper into despair and despising himself.

Then three years later he met a man who he considers to be his brother(not biological of course). And that helped him put away his anger until his brother is considered dead by everyone. So he left to find himself, and eventually found Paris, but with little cash and luggage, he eventually forced onto the street until he met Adrien.

A sad story, but if he could resolve the anger, and control his emotions, then he would be the perfect hatchling for Duusu. After all, the kwami had explained that it's best holders were people who are good at controlling their emotions, allowing them more control over their amoks.

But the boy should be a last resort.

Adrien is terribly fond of him, and he wouldn't want to be responsible for taking away someone else Adrien loves.

But Keith is inspiring him to rebel more, which Gabriel hates, but can't do anything about because Adrien seems so happy. He rubs his temples, his emotions regarding Keith are confusing, but one thing is for sure, is that he will wait to make Keith hold the Peacock miraculous unless he is in dire need of the assistance that it can provide him.

Authors Note: So the reason I did the Point of Views in this chapter form Earth and Space is because I wanted to reinforce the fact that everything is taking place at the same time. Also the next chapters will focus only on what is happening up in space because I have done a lot of chapters on what is happening on Earth and not in Space. Also there will be more chapters focusing just on Team Voltrons dynamic, as Season Three is really short, and I can't have lots of chapters focusing on Earth and not in Space during this Intro arc as that isn't fair to the one concept. So enjoy the next few chapters that will be solely focusing on what is happening to Voltron without Keith.
