Man I'm really feeling the urge to write… know what, yeah let's do this!

"Alright… where do I begin?" Gredora muttered as she and Rekka sat down in the corner. "It was about a year or so prior. I was still serving as one of their enforcers, and I still had Zoa… and was using her sister's body."

Rekka though, just listened intently, and when she showed no sign of interrupting, the other continued.

"What caused it was a discovery, out of all of us, Dumjd was the first to show regret over their prior actions although that might probably be due to his host."

"Flare Trooper Dumjd huh? The Kagero Sentinel?" Aria nodded to her question. "I see, continue."

"Dumjd went AWOL, and under the threat of their family, Shindou Chrono was sent to stop him… however."

"Shindou-kun." A man with white hair began, he had yellow eyes and a red polo and what seems to be cream colored pants. "You need to let me do this."

"Kazumi…" He began. "I was the one told to do so."

"I was the one they assigned to make sure that the mission was a success." Gredora told Rekka.

"And if you do and succeed, remember which of your friends is close to his host." Was the reply. "Let me be the one to do it, unlike you, I don't have much connection to them, and I won't mind being resented at if that were the case."

"I… I understand." Was the reply.

"If you two are done talking, I suggest you get moving then."

"I know." He replied as he looked at who had told them such, which was Gredora herself. "Let's just do this." His tone fully implying that he did not want any to do with this.

At present time, the diffrider then looked at the girl.

"Do you have any questions so far?"

"Yeah, what caused him to finally go AWOL?" Rekka asked.

"It was a mission to stop the heir of Fides from reclaiming the sword, Shindou Chrono was sent to stop the heir, their best friend, but failed to do so."

"More like he threw it. Shindou Chrono, Akemi's father?"

"Yes." Was the confirmation. "As punishment, he was told to basically execute one of their own friends who were coerced like him."

"And Saya?"

"She was already captured, and brainwashed. Dumjd initially protested the execution under the grounds that cannon fodder was still useful…" she explained. "But when he realized that one of the people to be executed was someone his host knew, he made a decision that sealed his fate. He leaked out the execution plan to the Fides faction."

"It didn't go as planned?"

"No, and that was how Shindou Chrono was sent to stop him."

"Flare Trooper Dumjd." Kazumi began. "I think you know what I'm here for…"

"Wasn't HE the one sent to stop me?" He pointed to the other.

"He was, but I'm here in his stead."

"The result of that match was the cause of my defection." The Megacolony Queen though, just sat down on the corner. "I believe that that is enough to warrant the details of your deck. I… I cannot continue on with the story for now."

"I see," she sighed. "It's fine then, alright, I'll tell you, but no one is allowed to know, ok?" She asked.

"Understood." And with that the two talked about the deck for a while before her phone rang.

"Ah, Bella-chan and the others are back." Rekka smiled.

"Guess that's the sign for us to come back as well."

"I see. Last question…" She said as they made it back to Takuto's headquarters. "What happened to the result?"

"Kazumi won… and Dumjd was sent back to Cray while his host was executed." Was the grim reply as she left. "And what caused me to defect as well... and cost her." She then shrugged it off. "I suggest you make it worth it with those beside you, you never know, when they are taken away."

Several days later…

Back to the Kai Rebirth people's perspective, it was the weekend before the tournament was to start, so they decided to fix up their things and headed to the meetup point, which was a small park on a hill overlooking the city.

"Why do I have to go?" Asuna muttered.

"Look, you said you were happy to see them again, right?" Alan asked.

"Yeah, but not HER." She spat back.

"You know she wasn't intending to take your place, right?"

"Seems intended to me, they stopped sending letters the second I left."

"Didn't you say that was because your mom blocked all of their letters?"

"Who cares." Was all she replied with as she saw the group arrive.

"Hey! Alan, Asuna!" Takeru waved to them as he approached them first.

"Great to see you Takeru." Alan smiled as he shared a fist bump with him.

"It's been a long time indeed."

"You're right about that Asuna." Claire made a smile at the girl. "It's been years since we last hung out like this."

"I know what you mean, heard from Hinata that you started using Great Nature like I used to. I missed you all."

"Pretty sure the feeling is mutual." Satoshi said as Sakuya approached, although when she did Asuna tried to remain even.

"Hi Asuna, I… I know that we haven't known each other compared to the others but…" She said as she offered her hand. "I hope we can get along."

"I, hope so too." The words she had was may have meant well, although her body language said otherwise as she didn't even try to make eye contact with Sakuya even with the smile she made.

"Anyway, while we're all here, let's catch up." Alan said as he motioned to the table. "Since it is a scrim as well, I invited Hinata to come along although she'll arrive later, I hope you don't mind."

"It's fine." The Dimension Police player replied. "Still, I thought you stopped playing."

"Honestly yeah, but I decided to come back just recently. So, I'm not as good as I am before."

"So I see." Satoshi noted. "Mind telling us a bit about what happened while you were out of town Asuna?"

"Sure." And with that she began recounting to the others what had occurred in the past few years, such as the separation of her parents, about how she missed everyone, and more.

"Well… since you're back now, can't we all just hang out then if we're not in the tournament?" Sakuya suggested. "I would want to get to know you as well."

"… I, I don't mind if it's just you guys." Was the reply.

"Huh, but you seemed so eager too."

"I said I DON'T MIND." Asuna immediately said, taking the other students aback as Alan just sighed.

"Look, you know what, since we're all here… let's just all hang out, talk about the good ol days, get some food, and then practice, sounds good?"

"I agree with Alan." Satoshi interrupted before they saw Hinata arrive.

"HI GUYS!" The girl waved, "You do NOT want to know how long the line took to buy food."

"Well, at least since it's here, let's eat?"

"Yes, we should." With that the two groups then went to the table although while Alan approached Asuna.

"Save it Alan." She merely told him off.

"Look, I know you don't like her, but everyone else is still your friend, can't that be enough for you to wave it off? None of us want you to beat yourself up like this…" He advised her.

"… Thanks for the concern, Alan, really thanks." She softly told him. "But I… I just can't bring myself to do so right now."

"I understand." Was what he told her after pausing for a bit. With that the two headed to the table and began eating, and after eating her fill they had split into multiple scrim sessions.

"Alright! I locked your entire field!" Hinata made a smug smile as she looked at Takeru. "How are you going to top that?"

"… I stride Holy Squire Dragon." He deadpanned, and with its skill, I unlock all of my locked cards."

"Oh nuts…" the girl realized as her locking spree got instantly nullified.

"I'll perfect guard your Vanguard's attack Satoshi." Alan told his opponent as they went on.

"Quadruple drive."

"At least they're all having fun…" Asuna made a soft smile as she saw Sakuya approach her, making her tense up. "Oh… it's you."

"Are you ok?"

"I'm FINE."

"You obviously are not." She replied. "You don't like me, do you? Can I at least find out why?"

"You want to find out? Fight me then." Was the statement as she set her deck.

"Fine by me." Both girls then prepared their starter as they prepared their stuff.

"Stand up," both began. "Vanguard!"
