At the same time as Sakuya faced Sharlene.
"Well, it's finally us two." Izumi began.
"Yes, let's have a good match Takahashi-"
"Save it." She immediately told him off as they both prepared their starters, and flipped them at the same time.
"Stand up, ('My' for Satoshi), Vanguard!"
"Cosmic Hero, Grandhop!"
"Lizard Soldier, Conroe!"
In a mountainous area, a dragon soldier appeared while opposed by a mecha, ready for battle.
"I'll go first." Izumi told him, "I'll draw, and then discard Gattling Claw Dragon, I ride Dragon Knight, Hishat."
A man with spiky red hair then appeared to the field whilst riding on a wyvern with his weapon at the ready.
"I end my turn after moving Conroe behind my Vanguard."
"I'll go next." The Dimension Police player added as he drew a card, "I discard a card." He then revealed a grade 2 card. "I ride Dimensional Robo Daibrave." The mecha then moved to take the spot of Grandhop, before the latter moved back.
'Original Saver, Zwei Zero…' she thought as she looked at it. 'Interesting, so it's not Gallop.'
"Daibrave attacks your Vanguard!" He added as the mech moved to swipe at Izumi's Vanguard.
"No guard."
"Drive check!"

'Because I don't have any damage, I can't use the skill of my Vanguard.' He thought. 'But next turn, she'll probably start applying more pressure.' Without anything left he rested his center line.
"I attack your Vanguard." (Power: 14000)

With a swift slice of its blade the unit cut a wound through Striken.

"Not using your normal ace there?" He asked.
"I could say the same for you." She countered. "Where's your Gallop?"
"Can't use it, Takuto doesn't know a thing about how the card worked."
"I see… Imaginary Gift, Force! Then with Striken's skill! Counterblast! I draw a card, my vanguard gets power and a critical until the end of the turn!" She added before immediately going into her battle phase. "I attack your Vanguard!" (Power: 28000)
"No guard."
"Twin drive!" She said as both drive checks were copies of the same card.

'That's 4 damage alone...' he thought. 'She's really not holding back on me.'

'In a blink of an eye, 0 to 2 became 4 to 2…' the Dimension Police player thought.
"Dauntless' skill!" She immediately declared as she revealed Aermo, Garan and Tahr. "At the end of the battle, I discard 3 cards! And stand my Vanguard!" She called as her vanguard stood up once more. "One more time!" (Power: 48000 and 4 critical)
"Protect our Hero, Enigman Calm!" He added as he discarded Reika from his hand.
"Twin drive!"

"Stand and draw." He began his turn. "To that hero who protects the stars! Like a mirage, come forth and reduce the opposers of justice to myth! Ride, Transient Saver, Zero!" He called out as a unit appeared, it seemed a bit older than the other grade 3 Zero, but still possess that will of justice. "Imaginary Gift, Force!" He said placing it on his Vanguard circle as well. "I use his skill!" He added as he paid a counterblast, your Vanguard loses 5000 power until the end of the turn, then since I placed him on the Vanguard circle, I draw one card! Cipher Strike!" He told her. "And then, Stride Generation!" He added as he discarded an Original Saver from his hand. "Super Cosmic Hero, X-Tiger!" He called out.
'If my hand was better, I could have called a card to use Omega, but I can't do anything about that now.' He thought as he called another grade 3 from his hand as the heroic X-tiger took command of the Dimension Police units. "Call! Transient Saver Zero, his skill is active on the rear-guard circle too!" He added as he paid another counterblast to lower the power of Dauntless by another 5000.
'He's setting up his field.' She thought as she paid attention to what he was doing.
"With Grandhop's skill, I rest him to give my rear-guard another 4000 power, then put him into the soul to draw and countercharge." He told her as he drew yet another card. "I call Daibrave and Namazooro!" He told her as the two units went to the right.
'Here comes his attacks.' She thought.
"With Daibrave's boost, Namazooro attacks your Vanguard!" (Power: 12000)
"Tahr guards!" She told him.
"X-Tiger attacks your vanguard! Namazooro's skill!" He said as he put it into the soul. "I draw a card, then with X-Tiger's skill, I flip a card in my G Zone face up and get 4000 for each face up card, and now, since his power is over 45000, he gets an extra critical!" (Power: 52000 and 2 crit)
"No guard!" She told him.
"Drive check! First check, draw trigger! All effects to Zero, second check, nothing, third check, heal trigger! I heal one damage and give power to my vanguard!"

"Damage check! First check, draw trigger! Second check, Critical trigger!" She called as her vanguard powered up as the giant mech flung its blades towards the dragon.
"I move Daibrave to my soul to draw a card. Transient Saver Zero attacks your Vanguard!" (Power: 37000)
"No guard." She repeated.

"Stand and draw." She told Satoshi. "Ride, Dragonic Blademaster!" She told him. "Imaginary Gift, Force!" She then placed it on an open rear-guard circle as Blademaster took the place of the prior Vanguard, its blades ready to burn her opponents. "Dauntless' skill, when I ride on it, the card I rode on gets all of its auto abilities until the end of the turn!" She said as she called a card from her hand. "I call Doha!"
An orange dragon then appeared to take its place next to its Vanguard, as it took the spot where the Imaginary Gift was
"With Doha's skill, I call Garan from my deck, now everything is in place!"
'Here it comes.' Satoshi thought.
"With Blademaster's skill! I retire all of your rear-guards Satoshi!" She declared. "But in exchange, I must pay the cost of soulblasting a grade 3 and discarding two cards from my hand." She then used a critical and another Doha from her hand as cost. "Then, I call a Vision Token!"
"Vision Token?" He questioned as Blademaster seemed to create another copy of itself.
"This Vision Token is retired at the end of the turn, but in exchange it can drive check!" She told him. "Then I call Dragon Dancer Frema!" She added as a unit appeared behind the Vision Token. "I use the skill of Frema, since I have 2 or more grade 3 units, I soulblast one and force you to retire all of your rear-guards in the same column as it."
"But I have no rear-guards…" he told her.
"And since one or less were retired, I get to draw a card." She told him, "Vision Token attacks your Vanguard." (Power: 23000)
"No guard" He told her.

"Double trigger! I give all effects to my Vanguard!" She began. "Then the skill I gained from Dauntless!" She said as she revealed Gattling, Blademaster, and Dauntless. "I discard the three, to stand my Vanguard!" She said as now her Vanguard stood, ready for another attack. "One more time, Blademaster!"
"Perfect guard!" He said, guessing that Doha would have a guard restrict discarding a copy of Ei Zero.
"Twin drive!"

"Generation guard!" He called out. "Super Cosmic Hero, X-carivou!" He shouted as he discarded a heal trigger from his hand. "Skill activated! Shield plus 10000! Make that two of them! And guard!" He said as he discarded another heal trigger before adding a Reika from his hand. (Total: 78000)
"Turn end." Izumi said.

'That took all I had, and her hand is still solid, but it's not over yet, not until I hit 6 damage!' he then discarded the grade 3 he drew.
"Stride Generation!" He began as lava seemed to cover his Vanguard, encasing it in solidified magma as it then broke off, revealing a being that roared in power. "Great beast from the beyond! Your time is now! Heat Wave Beast, Geomaglass!" He shouted as he placed it on his Vanguard circle.
"You didn't have that card before." She realized.
"True, but now it's the card that will give me a chance!"
'It may be hard, but this will give me a chance to replenish my field, and then some!' he then revealed the last two cards in his hand. "Call! Dimensional Robo, Daibloom, Original Saver, Ein Zero."
'Even a trigger unit.' Izumi thought.
"Let's go! Ein Zero boosts, Daibloom attacks Doha!" He called as the dimensional robo moved to attack.
"No guard."
The unit was hit by the attack as it was then retired.
"Geomaglass attacks your Vanguard!" He added. "Skill activated!" He then paid a counterblast and flipped another copy of it face up. "I look at the top 7 cards of my deck then I call 2 from among them to a rear-guard circle! I call Toxic Monster Gelsludge, and Zwei Zero!" He said as the two appeared to support him. "I use Gelsludge's skill first! I pay a soulblast, now you may choose to do a counterblast and a soulblast, if you don't counterblast, I draw a card, if you don't soulblast, your Vanguard's power is reduced by 5000!" (Power: 38000)
'So, if I don't do anything, he'll be able to get an advantage of it.' She then noted how she was running out of counterblasts, but decided it was ok as she did both to deny Satoshi the chance to replenish his hand or weaken her vanguard.
"Zwei's skill! Counterblast, Soulblast! Your vanguard's power is reduced by 1000 for each card in my damage zone, there's 4 right now, so your vanguard's power is reduced by 4000! Cipher Slash!"
"Perfect guard." She said, choosing Blademaster for the target. "Since I have another Protect Orb in my drop zone, I can countercharge."
"Triple drive!"

"Critical and a stand trigger." He noted. "I give all critical effects to Zwei Zero! Then with the stand trigger effects, I stand Ein behind it, and give the power to Zwei again! I attack your Vanguard with Zwei Zero! He also gets 3000 with his own skill!" (Power: 41000 and 2 critical)
"Guard!" She said using two copies of Tahr.
"Tch, Gelsludge attacks your vanguard." He noted as the monster then moved to hit Blademaster.
"No guard."

"Final turn." Izumi said as she began her turn which just made Satoshi roll his eyes.
"I ride Blademaster again." She said before putting it in the circle in front of Garan. "I call Doha, then use its skill to call Garan from my deck, then I use Blademaster's skill again." She declared as she retired all of Satoshi's units again. "I then attack your Vanguard with the Vision Token."
"No guard!" He replied as the mirage moved to attack Zero.
"Twin drive."

"Draw trigger! I draw one card and give power to my vanguard!" Satoshi called out.
"Blademaster attacks your Vanguard!" (Power: 41000 and 2 critical)
"Guard!" Satoshi said, using Daibattles and Erika from his hand as the two units appeared to create a barrier in front of Zero.
"Twin drive."

"Heal trigger! I give the power to Doha! Doha attacks your Vanguard!" She told him and as Satoshi looked at his hand, he realized, he couldn't guard it.
"No guard." He said as he took a damage, and with it being revealed as not a heal trigger, it was his loss as Zero fell to his knees in defeat.
"Looks like I win this time."
"Yeah, you did." He just nodded as they both packed up their decks.
"I guess I'll see you in the tournament then." She said as she moved to leave.
"Yeah, guess so huh." He said, feeling a bit awkward being near her considering their history, and when she was gone, he then looked at his deck.
'That was her not even using her main deck, and she just destroyed me, we need to plan after, I hope that Sakuya and Takeru are doing well.' He thought not knowing the results of the other two games. 'But I can't afford to worry now. I need to get ready for my next game.'

So we have some customs here, the extra Zero set basically lowers their opponent VG's power by a set amount. Zwei Zero lowers the enemy VG by 1K for each card in your damage zone, but if you place it on your Vanguard circle, you can also draw one card. Satoshi couldn't do so since he didn't have any damage. It also has a plus 3K when attacking a VG from R.
Ein Zero's skill basically lets you CC/SC1 if a vanguard's power increases or decreases during your turn due to card effects but needs to be GB1.
Lastly we have Transient Saver Zero basically a CB1 when placed on V or R to instantly minus 5K from an opponent's VG, and draw if it's on VG. It also has a 'Breakride' skill that lets you call it to R and minus your opponent's VG by 2K for every card in your damage zone. This also doesn't require the 4 or more damage.
