Chapter 31:Reflection Part 2(Pidge's POV)

She misses her family, her father, her brother, her mother….Her mother! Pidge didn't even tell her where she was going, what she was trying to do!

When she gets back her mother will be furious with her.

But Pidge doesn't care, it's been worth it. To know that her father and brother are still alive and that she has the chance to save them after this cursed war is over.

Guilt eats her up though, she couldn't save Shiro. She couldn't save the person who was by her brother's side and her dad's side.

Her smart brain couldn't do anything.

It is useless, she knows, to beat herself up about something she couldn't change. But everytime Pidge plays the battle in which Shiro dies, her mind can't help drift off to a what if.

Same with the day Keith disappeared. If only she had been there, then maybe they could have gotten Keith back by now. Even though that's impossible. Keith is all the way back on Earth, and they have to be deep in space, far away from him.

She leans back on her pilot chair, a sigh escaping her lips.

It is completely and utterly useless to think about those event's. They are in the past. And she can't change it.

Accepting that fact, Pidge reaches the Green Lions' handles. She has to get out of this silence before her thoughts drag her into despair and sadness. But Pidge's heart isn't in making her lion work, instead her heart and mind drift off from the sadness she is feeling.

Relaxing her grip, she stares into the abyss, her mind working like crazy(not about sad thoughts, more like her brain has been hit with an idea from viewing the area around her). If the gas could make the lion's systems not work, then other ships if hit with this gas would stop moving as well.

Maybe she could take a sample and test it. It would be useful in stopping that ship that led them here in the first place. The ship must have been smart enough to escape the planet before going too deep in before the gas could take out their ship's system.

After all, the gas is thick enough, and we were all too busy going after Allura to notice if any ship left the planet.

Soooo... Hypothetically their ship would be in the same situation as we are in if we sprayed the gas on them. That's even if the gas would survive outside the planet to make it all the way to their ship, or even if it does, there's no way without certainty that the gas could spread to us too. Immobilizing everyone of us.

Test's would have to be taken if that was the case, if Marinette and Allura allowed such a thing to be done, given the chance the gas could come back and immobilize us.

Her brain was getting excited at all the possibilities and outcomes from this gas that they could use. Like using it, building a container that can contain it, but also release it. Giving it thrusters depending on how the gas does react outside of the planet, if it lives, if it spreads everywhere, that sort of thing.

Oooohhhh! So many things can be done with this red gas.

But first things first. Figuring a way off this Red Gas Planet.

Author's Note: I figured Pidge wouldn't stay sad, because of her scienfentic brain turning the wheels on how to use the planet's gas to their advantage because they way I see it, because she's so sciefentic her mind gets easily distracted at the possibility of things. Which I'm surprised never showed up on the show. Cause gas that can paralyze your opponents ships! That could be useful, instead of always blowing the ships up, depending on the situation. This will be very interesting to explore later on, especially since in the show we rarely saw Pidge being sciency and being happy being sciency except when the show told us she was being sciency or when it was with Hunk instead of by herself.
