Chapter 37: Le Hibou Part 4(Chloe's POV)
Chloe watched the T.V in the living room of their house atop their hotel with her father, wishing she was with Keith instead. Cheering him up, listening to him play piano, like a mozart piece or something, instead of watching the news.
She was surprised earlier, along with her father, that Monsieur Damocles was Le Hibou. But the shock had worn off, and now she was getting sleepy, just listening to the weather, commercials, news, good or bad, politics and such. It also repeated some stuff a lot, which was annoying.
But her father had badgered her to spend some time with him. Chloe likes her father, but felt he was very clingy, trying to bribe her with the latest new thing her old self would have wanted.
Then the channel glitched and on the screen a person dressed as an owl was facing the camera.
Chloe immediately sat up, that's Monsieur Damocles! It must be. He must have been akumatized because Chat tried to get him out of being a superhero.
"Citizens of Paris, I have animals from the zoo that will be dropped off the eiffel tower, and then it will kill a kitten standing beneath it in a cage if Chat Noir and Honeybee don't give me their miraculouses! And if anyone trys to save liquid nitrogen bombs will exlode killing them all anway. Chat Noir, Honeybee you have one hour to find me, as a hint I shall give you my owl signal. BUt you have one hour to meet my demands, one hour. And bring that Maromora fellow if you're able to."
The transmission ends and the T.V goes back to whatever it's spewing out. It takes a few seconds for the shock to wear off, but eventually Chloe stands up.
"I just remembered I have some schoolwork to do. I'll see you tomorrow Daddy."
Then she quickly walks out of the room and then sprints to the lobby of the hotel, wasting no time. After getting outside she looks in her purse and Pollen flies out.
"We certainly are in a pickle my Queen. You can't give the akuma your miraculous!"
"I know Pollen, but something must be done. I'll meet Chat at our patrol spot, and we'll figure something out."
Pollen nods.
Chloe takes a deep breath, she wants Keith to come with them, but his ankle might not be totally healed yet, despite the doctors saying it is. So Chat and Chloe are on their own for this akuma.
"Pollen Buzz On!" Chloe yells.
A yellow light consumes her, and it fades as she is in her superhero outfit.
She jumps toward the rooftop of a nearby building and runs to meet Chat Noir at their usual place. What was Chat thinking, humiliating Monsieur Damocles like that in front of cameras? Where it was broadcasted on live television. Stupid Kitty! Now everything is worse and Keith can't help because Chloe doesn't want him to!
Chloe stops running, take a deep breath you can do this. Chat Noir and I can do this. She continues to run. Once she stops at their favorite meeting place, close to the Eiffel Tower, Chat is there.
"What took you so long?"
Chloe pants, "Sorry, huff, I tried, huff, to huff, get here as fast, huff, as I could."
"Well you're here now. Did you contact Marmora? We could use his help."
Before she can respond out of nowhere Marmora comes from behind Chat Noir and gives him a hug, "Hey cousin!"
Chat jumps back after Marmora releases him from the hug.
"Marmora what was that for!? You scared me!"
Marmora gives him an innocent look, "Can't I hug my cousin who I haven't seen in a while, and surprise him?"
"I guess that's alright. But where have you been!? I thought you disappeared like Ladybug!"
"I had my civilian life to deal with, besides that's not important. Dealing with the akuma is. We're wasting time, Le Hibou said he was going to kill animals if we don't hand him our miraculous in an hour."
Chloe nods, "Marm does have a point. Still Le Hibou didn't ask for you, he asked for mine and Chat's. You could probably sneak attack him, while we pretend to give him our miraculouses."
Chat nods, "Not a bad idea. Let's go and see if it'll work."
As per the plan Chloe and Chat Noir walk up to Le Hibou. "Fancy weather isn't?" Chloe speaks.
However Le Hibou cuts to the chase, "Are you here to turn in your Miraculouses?"
Chat and Chloe look at each other, unsure what to say next. Then Marmora pounces on Le Hibou, grabbing the denoater off of his hand. That was quick, and too easy. "Catch!" Marmora throws the detonator, and Le Hibou uses this moment to push Marmora off himself.
Le Hibou fires a rope at Chat, and Chole intervenes, while Marmora tackes Le Hibou to the ground again.
Keith's POV
It feels so right to be in a fight again. To move his body, to exchange blows. Better than being cooped up for two weeks straight healing his ankle, practicing piano, and just doing schoolwork.
So much better. Keith feels alive and fresh ducking Le Hibou's punches Le Hibou throws at him.
He's so busy fighting Le Hibou he doesn't notice what Chat and Honeybee are up to. An uppercut to his jaw makes him fly up in the air. Quickly regaining his balance mid-fall, he lands on his feet, with his hand touching the ground. Like a Spider-man pose.
"Muhahaha! Your friends have been trapped inside the crate!" Le Hibou laughs.
"With the animals?" Keith asks, he looks down, strange the kitten wasn't moving at all. It had the freedom to run anywhere, but it stayed stuck underneath the crate for no reason.
"There never were any animals. The only setback to my plan is dealing with you while Honeybee and Chat Noir are forced to hand over their miraculouses or drown in whipped cream! Here that Honeybee, Chat Noir! Hand me your miraculous or get drowned in whipped cream! Your friend here can't do anything because the software making the cream drown you isn't anywhere near the Eiffel Tower!"
Keith gives Le Hibou the blankest look. Was he honestly expecting Keith not to still fight him, and incapacitate him? Well there is the matter of the whipped cream drowning his friends. And he might be able to save them before that happens, while keeping Le Hibou pinned down long enough. Though since he is Monsieur Damocles and most of the Le Hibou sightings were after school, the program in charge of the whipped cream drowning must be there.
But is there enough time? And if he goes now what will happen? Will they give up their miraculouses before he can disable the program? If only Pidge were here, she could probably stop the program in no time, while he takes care of Monsieur Damocles.
But she isn't here.
"Seems your friends have disabled my camera. I figured sometime like this would happen, but what are they going to do?"
Create fake miraculouses? But that would be impossible to do, considering the cream is whatever colour it is it would not be the right color.
Time is ticking so he has to act fast.
Adrien's POV
"Beep, beep, beep, beep…."
Chloe looks at him, "Your time's up for how much longer your miraculous can make you stay Chat Noir."
Adrein nods. He didn't want to reveal his identity this way, especially considering Ladybug was against the idea. But was it worth it, keeping their identities a secret? They couldn't contact Marmora for a while. If they knew him in civilian life they could have known what was going on while he was away. Not thought he had disappeared like Ladybug or Marinette….Marinette.
Was there still hope they'd see one of them again? Not likely. Not likely at all, but Adrien wished he could still. Somehow find one of them. Just one.
Adrien looks at Honeybee, her eyes are closed.
"Hey it's okay, we can know each other's identities."
Honeybee eyes open, and they also widen in surprise. "Adrien? I recognized your voice, but I didn't think, I thought I imagined it."
"Yep, the famous model Adrien is also the famous Superhero Chat Noir." replies Plagg.
"Thanks Plagg for summing that up." he mutters.
"Then I guess it's only far for you to know mine then, right team leader?"
He interjects, "You don't have to if it's uncomfortable. You can take your tim…." His words are lost as Honeybee interrupts, "Pollen Buzz Off!"
A yellow light encases Honeybee and then it fades, revealing Chole. Adrien stood there, shocked. Chole is Honeybee?! He never put to and to together. He never thought Chole would receive a kwami. Never.
Then again he wasn't sure why he received a kwami either.
Chloe looks at him, "Now what do we do?"Her kwami floating beside her, looking astonished they had revealed their identities, while whipped cream is rising and rising.
"Well, do you have anything we can use to create fake miraculouses? Like a pen or something."
"No, I left my bag back home."
"My queen, couldn't Chat Noir just cataclysm the crate after Plagg has rested sufficiently? Afterall the akuma still thinks you are mulling the decision over, whether or not to give him your miraculouses."
Adrien nods, "That could work. What do you say Plagg?"
"Sure! Though I wish I had camembert."
Adrien rolls his eyes. "Plagg claws out!"
Once the transformation is complete he breaks the crate with his cataclysm. Releasing him, Honeybee and the cream out of the crate. He lands quite skillfully, thanking his superhero skills also including cat-like reflexes, until he slips on whipped cream.
Making himself fall and get a faceful of whipped cream and the ground.
"Much gratefulness Kitty," Chloe says, no Honeybee. He has to still keep her superhero identity separate from her civilian one, despite knowing who she is.
He looks up at the Eiffel Tower, seeing flashes of purple and brown fighting.
Adrien gets up, and dusts off some whipped cream. "How are we going to get up there Chl-Honeybee"
"Easy Kitty, we'll use my spinning top as a grappling hook and swing ourselves up there. Once we're there we'll help Marmora with the akuma and hopefully end this madness."
Adrien nods, and Chl-Honeybee, he corrects his mind, swings her spinning top weapon up on the rungs of the Eiffel Tower. He is surprised when she grabs him by the waist and swings her and him towards the Eiffel Tower.
After getting close to one of the diamond shaped framed things on the Eiffel Tower, Chat jumps, despite being scared to do so. As it looks like a long way to the ground if he misses. He does not and begins to climb the tower. Honeybee follows suit.
After a angoinzign climb, they finally reach the Eiffel Tower's viewing area and find that Marmora is sitting on the akuma who is unconscious.
"How did you beat the akuma by yourself?" Honeybee asks, surprised.
"I outmatched him in combat skill, is all. He got a few good punches on me, but I dodged most of them." Marmora nonchalantly replies.
"Do you know where the akuma is then?"
"Yep, it was in one of his gadget's." Marmora opens the palm of his hand to reveal a dark purple butterfly. "Cataclysm!" Chat yells swiping at the akma. It turns to dust and makes Monsieur Damocles return to normal. Unfortunately the whipped cream mess reamians and he can't get the crate back from the ashes he turned it into.
"Honeybee, why don't you help Monsieur Damocles while we clean up the mess he made."
Honeybee nods and Marmora smiles, "Well then let's get cleaning."
Author's Note: Marmora finally comes back to join the hero team! Yea! More trio interactive! Also the Le Hibou arc is done and yes an identity reveal happened. Without Ladybug, I definitely think Adrien would be more willing to share his identity with the other superheroes. And also I think the perfect time for Adrien and Marientte in the show was to reveal their identities there. Also this reveal will not be taken back because of time stuff. I feel like whenever Adrien and Mari learn their identities and become lovers that's when Bunnix has to erase the timeline. But this reveal will stay, as it actually will push the narrative forward and it also doesn't change the dynamics of the group, like Mari's and Adrein's did(they are a duo but still!). Also this reveal will further look into Chloe's and Adrien's friendship, as it kindof hasn't been explored in the show except in season two of Miraculous if I remember correctly. Which is a shame, since their friendship dynamic is interesting, especially after Adrien in the show promised to be Chloe's friend. Hope you enjoyed this chapter:)
