Chapter 38: Training Begins Now Part 1(Adrien's POV)

"You wanted to see me, sir?" Adrien asks as he sits down. Wayzz said Master Fu had wanted to see him. It's Saturday, the day after Le Hibou akuma had been defeated. Him and Marmora spent hours cleaning the whipped cream and crate, and Adrien had wanted to sleep in a little, as it was exhausting work.

So he is a little annoyed that Master Fu had asked him to come.

The old man nods, "Thank you Wayzz. It is time I shared with you my secrets. As I won't be around forever. And I don't know when you and your team will defeat Hawkmoth."

"What!? What are you saying! I can't! My father will find out!"

"But you are still able to be Chat Noir, no? How come your father hasn't found out about that?" Master Fu calmly replies, sipping his tea.

"I…I…I don't have an answer for you."

"Adrien look. The knowledge I know is a heavy burden, and what I want to train you in will be as well. It was on me. But you have a choice to choose. I don't want to force my knowledge and the Guardianship on you."

Adrien stares at his knees. Guardianship? More responsibility? He's just a teenager, he can't handle that! But Master Fu isn't forcing him to have more responsibility. But still? Chloe is still new to the hero thing, and he has no idea what Marmora would think. He doesn't want to force this on them. But what about him? He also has a lot to do. Fencing, piano, chinese, modeling, being Chat Noir, hanging out with friends.

Upholding his father's ridiculous standards.

But what choice does he have, it's either him, Chole, or Marmora that will have to learn this. Sides, it's not like he can't balance everything out. Cause that still could be possible….

"Master, you can't possibly expect Adrien to do this! He's just a teenager!" Wayzz shouts.

Plagg replies, "Adrien can handle it. He's the best Chat Noir I've had, and he can be resourceful."

"Plagg's right. I can." Even though I don't want to do it, thinks Adrien. At least Plagg will be supporting me the whole way.

Master Fu sighs, "I'm glad. You're the only holder of a miraculous I trust deeply."

"What do you mean? Can't Chloe be trustworthy, sure she's had her ups and downs, but I've seen her as Honeybee. She can be trusted."

"So, you've learned Honeybee's identity already. I didn't think it would be that quick. Then again Ladybug did have a resolve not to reveal identities."

Adrien swallows, "Is that bad?"

Master Fu laughs, "Of course not my boy! Strong teamwork comes from understanding your allies and knowing your other superhero's identities will help with that. Ladybug was just worried that if she knew your identity, her loved ones would be in danger if you somehow told Hawkmoth her civilian identity. But if you knew each other's identities, then communication and meeting up wouldn't be hard to do. I guess that's just for everyone on the superhero team to decide. You know Marmora's identity then?"

Adrien shakes his head. Marmora hadn't been as willing.

"Hey Marmora, I was wondering if we could reveal each other's identities to each other. Me and Honeybee did already in that crate Le Hibou had us in." Adrien told Marmora as they were cleaning up the whipped cream mess, along with the smashed crate.

"Chat, I, I don't think it's right for me now. It's been hard already keeping my superhero self from my civilian self instead of them being the same person like it used to be."

"Used to be?" Adrien was confused. What on Earth could Marmora mean by that?

"Oh it's nothing. I just mean I don't feel comfortable. I like seeing you as Chat and not some other person. It doesn't confuse me, sides I could slip up and reveal your identity while in an akuma attack. Yeah, I'm just not ready to think of you as another person."

Adrien understood. He had felt the same way about revealing his identity to Ladybug. Because he loved her, and he didn't know if she would like who he was under the mask of Chat Noir. Despite the fact he desperately wants to know who the girl is under the mask of Ladybug.

"Well as soon as Marmora wants to you can learn his identity then. In the meantime I have to start training you in the ways of the Guardian so that you may, one day, be worthy of protecting the miracle box from harm when I am unable to."

Adrien gulps, this is a big task. Learning how to be the Guardian of the miracle box. Where his kwami's miraculous used to reside. It seems daunting. But if he could handle the pressure put on by his father, and his ridiculous demands, then Adrien could handle this training. Hopefully.
