AN: I skipped a majority of S3. Most of the episodes I didn't really like and don't really fit with what I'm writing. You can probably figure out which episodes I skipped. I'm kinda going fast through S3 because I want to do Season 4 since that was the season that inspired all this.
*Sofia's POV*
It had been a couple months since Mom took us all on that awesome vacation. It was the last day of school before we were let out for the summer. I had a weird dream of this witch attacking a castle. A princess had tried to stop her but the vision like experience cut off as the spell struck the amulet. I gasped when it did as I realized it was all a vision, dream thing.
"You okay Sofia?" James asked.
"Yeah, fine. That was weird." I said.
"Children. As I was saying. I hope you all have a wonderful summer. Class is dismissed." Flora said.
We left the school and right as it did, my amulet glowed blue. Once we got home, I ran to my room and grabbed the book. I headed down to the library and this time actually used the boat. When I arrive, the Library selected a book called "The Lost Princess of Avalor".
"Like my amulet of avalor?" I questioned out loud.
The book went into the pendulum and a man stepped out.
"Whoa. Who are you?" I asked.
"I'm Alacazar, the former Royal Wizard of Avalor." he said.
I knew wearing my regular attire would be best. He tells me the tale of Princess Elena. On her fifteenth birthday, she was given the amulet by her mother but one day an evil power hungry sorceress named Shuriki invaded Avalor. She attacked the king and queen and set her sights on the palace. Elena chose to face Shuriki on her own but when Shuriki tried to strike her down, the Amulet saved her life by pulling her inside it.
"Wait, there's a princess inside my amulet?" I asked.
"Yes. I found the amulet and discovered that the only way to free Elena was to find a special princess to set her free. For many years, I searched for this princess til I grew too old to continue. So I used the last of my magic to turn myself into this talking book, hoping that one day the princess will come. Over the years, the Amulet has tested many princesses before you and now the amulet has chosen you to set her free." Alacazar said.
I looked at the amulet.
"My visions. I guess they were to summon me here?" I said.
"My you catch on quick. I like that." Alacazar said, "Now, in order to free Elena, you must go to Avalor and summon my chanul."
"How do I do that?" I asked.
"Ah, you will have to go there to find out. Now, be careful as Shuriki still rules and is as powerful and as evil as ever." Alacazar said.
"Alright." I said.
I headed to my room to pack a couple spare weapons. I made sure most of my outfits had pockets, including my dress. From the dimensions of the wand that I could see, the wand would fit in my pockets without being noticeable. I made sure I had packed a little lightly as I didn't really need much. Then I went to my family and managed to convince them to go to Avalor for our summer trip. So, we set sail for Avalor once the Royal Galleon was ready to sail. It was weeks later that we arrived in the kingdom of Avalor. I woke up to the ship's bell signalling that land was ahead.
"Amber, we're here." I said.
I got ready in my normal attire and made sure I had my arm bands. I loved those things. I made sure my knife was in my boot too. I headed out on deck where a dozen guards and Constable Myles were already up. I ran up to them and they all popped to attention.
"At ease gentlemen. Good morning Constable." I said with a smile.
"Morning Princess." he said.
I ran along to see the kingdom and I was impressed.
"Quite the sight is it not?" the admiral said.
"It is." I said.
"Ah, Admiral Hornpipe, have you sent word of our arrival to Queen Shuriki?" dad asked as he came up.
"Why'd you do that?" I asked nervously.
"It's normal customs and courtesies when visiting a new kingdom Sofia." he said.
"Oh." I said.
We arrived and the citizens were cheering as we disembarked. Then the Queen arrived and instantly I knew she was bad news. As we get into the coach that will take us to the castle, I spot the guards take a flute away from a boy who was playing it. I was smart and hid the amulet under my clothes. I didn't want the queen to recognize it after all. It may have been forty one years but the queen might remember the amulet. When we arrive at the castle, we got a tour of the castle and I took note of good places to hide. Nooks and crannies up high and low to hide things in. Then we got treated to a feast. Animals came down and took a majority of the meat on the table.
"You pests." Shuriki said.
I saw her move and I caught a glimpse of the wand. So it's in her pocket. I learned that the animals were called Jaquins and that my amulet glowed and pulled me towards them. So I took a chance and ask them for help.
"Um, excuse me. Could you help me?" I asked.
"We do not help friends of Shuriki." the orange one said.
"I'm not friends with her, I'm here to free Princess Elena." I said.
"Princess Elena?" the orange one said.
I told them my plan and they agreed to help.
"My name's Skylar." the orange one said.
"I'm Scarlet." the reddish pink one said.
"I'm Phoenix." the yellow one said.
"Hop on princess." Skylar said.
I hopped on with no problem and we took off. It was different than riding a horse. They take me to Alacazar's house where I was greeted by a woman but she doesn't want to help at the moment.
"How do you know what a chanul is?" a voice asked.
I turned to see a boy, maybe a couple years older than me standing there.
"I'm Sofia. Alacazar sent me." I said.
"You know my grandfather?" he asked.
"Uh not exactly." I said.
"I'm Mateo. If my grandfather sent you, then you must have the Amulet." he said.
"Yes." I said and pulled it out.
He takes me down to his workshop where he fumbles around with the magical equipment down there.
"Sorry, I've been training myself to be a wizard in secret since Shuriki outlawed all magic other than her own." he said.
I waited patiently as he got himself together. It took two tries to call out Alacazar's chanul, but it wasn't the only one to come out. Alacazar's was a fox like animal but the one that I didn't recognize was a wolf figure.
"Well, well, looky here. Hello deary. So good to see you." the wolf said.
"Calm down Diana. She doesn't even know what you are." the fox said.
"Oh mighty chanul, you honor us with your presence." Mateo said.
I just kinda cringed at the way he said it.
"Just call me Zuzo, I'm Alacazar's spirit animal." the fox said.
"Um, I hate to be a little on a time crunch but, why are there two of you?" I asked.
"Oh deary, I'm Diana and I'm your spirit guide." the wolf said.
"Oh. So how are we to free Elena?" I asked.
"So your the princess that's going to free Elena." Zuzo said.
"Yep." I said.
He flitted around me but was always in my line of sight. Diana had shrunk and was cuddled into a curl on my head.
"Alright then. Now here's what you gotta do. First your going to need the wand that put Elena in the amulet in the first place." Zuzo said.
"Shuriki's wand? She keeps it in her pocket." I asked.
"Well, you already know where it is, now once you've got the wand, you just wrap the amulet around it and put them on the crown of Aziluna." Zuzo said.
"Aziluna?" I asked.
"He was a great healer who could undo any spell or curse. There's an ancient Maruvian statue of him way up in the mountains." Mateo said.
"It's kinda like a hospital for magical mishaps." Zuzo said. "Now, just because your the one, doesn't mean your the only one. It's not supposed to make sense right now, but you'll figure it out. First, you gotta get that wand Princess."
With that, Zuzo disappeared, along with Diana who had been asleep on my head. Well, time to go get the wand.
"We have to go back to the castle." I said as I dragged Mateo with me.
*Unknown POV*
I was flying around Avalor and spotted a very familiar person walking towards the palace. It was Sofia! I flew closer when I heard the evil queen mention something about invading Enchancia. Oh no, I gotta warn her. I flew down and lighted on her shoulder.
"Sofia." I said.
She looked at me a little startled before recognition crossed her eyes.
"I remember you. Hello Dottie." she said.
I cuddled into her a bit because I missed her. She was the one to take care of me when I was hurt. After healing and being taken care of, I told my family about her and apparently she was the one to go to when we were hurt. I told her what I heard and she just frowned.
"Thank you Dottie. If you'd want to, stick around. " Sofia said.
*Sofia's POV*
I walked up over to where my parents were conversing with Shuriki. I offered to pour her tea and the chancellor's since I remembered the wand was in her left pocket. When I was pouring Esteban's tea, I quickly pulled Shuriki's wand out of her pocket and slipped it into my own. Thanking whatever higher power that was watching over me cause my pickpocketing skills were good and she didn't even notice that it was gone. I decided that the best way to get the attention off me is to get Amber and James to hide. So I went over to them and asked Armando if we could play hide and seek where we hid and he seeked. He agreed and Amber was on board all the way, James took a second but he thought it was fun.
They both ran off in different directions. I knew Amber had probably found the same spots I did because she was learning how to be more observant of what she was looking at. Once they were gone, I made my way back to where the jaquins and Mateo were waiting.
"Whoa, that was fast. How'd you pull that off? Shuriki never lets anyone get close to her." Mateo said.
"Eh, skills I picked up from before I was a princess." I said as I held up one of his drumsticks.
"What the?" Mateo said, "how?"
"I practice kleptomania to a point where I'm good at just taking something without people knowing but since I never wanted to steal in the first place, I just keep it up as a skill to have. Also known as pickpocketing." I said.
"Look at her, girl's sweet as sugar but she's got some skills." Skylar said.
"Alright, Mateo. Show us the way to Aziluna. We've got a princess to free." I said as we took off.
"Skylar, Scarlet, keep low to the waters till we get out of the castle range. I don't want to take any chances with this lady." I said.
They hugged close to the water and soon we arrived at the ancient ruins of the ancient civilization of Maru.
"Whoa." I said in awe of the temple.
"This is an old Maruvian temple. The statue is inside." Mateo said.
He gave a short brief of the history behind the Maruvians. We landed at an opening that led to a lake.
"Where's the statue?" I asked.
"Legend has it, you need to swim across the enchanted waters for the magic to work." Mateo said.
I grinned. I climbed down the rocks easily and made it to a ledge. I had to smile as I flipped into the lake and dove in. I swam across and found the statue. I made sure to hold my breath and wrapped the amulet around the wand and stuck it on the crown of the statue. When I did, the surrounding area began to rumble as the statue rose out of the water or the water receded. Ah man, the water was perfect too.
I slid down the tail of the statue and watched as the amulet lifted off the wand and descended toward the platform I was standing on. When it landed, a pink light appeared and from it, Princess Elena was freed. The amulet flew back into my hands. It was now a reddish pink color and I put it around my neck. As soon as I did, I felt something tingle.
"Princess Elena?" I asked.
I watched as she celebrated being free of the amulet. She stumbled a bit and I grabbed her to steady her.
"You okay?" I asked.
"I'm fine. I guess that's what happens if you're stuck in an amulet for forty one years, you forget how to walk." she said.
She hugged me and then began on a plan to get rid of Shuriki.
*Elena's POV*
I made a plan to get rid of Shuriki, once and for all. I would use the same spell she did. I was going to move but I found my way blocked by Sofia.
"Elena, think this through. Shuriki may have a protection against that certain spell." Sofia said.
I thought about it but was kind of annoyed because it was all I thought about for forty one years.
"Well, it's all I've got right now." I said.
I headed up the statue and grabbed the wand. I took off on Skylar the Jaquin after he and another reddish pink one came flying down. The reddish one was carrying a boy, who introduced himself as Mateo. I focused on my mission to drive Shuriki out of my lands. I went up the statue and grabbed the wand. I ignored Sofia's warnings and tried to face Shuriki.
"How did you get that?" she asked, "It was that little princess, the one in blue."
I was shocked by the smirk on Miranda's face. I tried to blast Shuriki but I got the spell wrong and the spell went careening into a nearby tapestry. I learned of my cousin Esteban and then Shuriki got her wand back after ordering the guards to seize me and the royal family of Enchancia.
Skylar dove down and helped me escape. I heard Shuriki order her guards to take the Royals to the dungeon. Sofia and Mateo arrived right as we were escaping.
"Elena? What happened?" Sofia asked.
I explained what happened and that Shuriki had Sofia's family.
"She has my FAMILY?!" she shouted.
I nodded and before I could answer guards began shooting arrows at us.
"Phoenix, hover high for me please." Sofia said.
The yellow jaquin that I was just realizing Sofia was riding, hovered. I watched as Sofia pulled out a bow and fired arrows that pinned the guards to the ground.
"Dive. Stay close to the water and let's regroup." Sofia said.
"We can go to my house." Mateo said.
I followed and I told Sofia the story from my point of view. Mateo's mother comes out and tells us that they have the spell to get my family out.
"Elena, to bring your family out now while Shuriki is still in power will put them in grave danger." Mateo's mother, Rafa, said.
We rallied the people to help free our kingdom. I brought Sofia to the secret back entrance of the castle. She was also the one to convince me to not bring my family out until after we take down Shuriki. Once we were inside, we ran into a short man named Armando. He helped us distract the guards but one of them wouldn't leave.
"Sofia, could you shrink and get past that guard?" I asked.
"We'll see." she said.
But she didn't shrink, as Armando distracted the guard, Sofia put the guy on the ground unconscious. I watched as she picked up the man and put him in a cell and locked it. She put him down gently though and then went to get her family.
*Miranda's POV*
Once we were put in the cell, I knew I should be mad that Sofia hadn't told us what was going on but I was proud. She has come out of her shell and is truly making new friends. I guess I know why she was tense when we met the Queen. Rollie was trying to get out but he couldn't get the door to budge. We all sat and waited. As a mother, of course I was worried about my daughter but with all she's learned how to do I knew she'd be fine.
"Hi." we all looked up to see Sofia standing there.
"Hi." I said.
Sofia just smirked and let us out.
"We need to be careful and cannot be seen." Sofia said.
We followed her and met the princess.
"Mom, Dad, this is Princess Elena." she said.
"I'm so sorry for putting your family in danger." the princess said, "but I've been waiting for so long for the princess who could finally set me free. I needed someone young enough to get close enough to Shuriki without being suspicious but brave and smart enough to get me out. And that was Sofia, I sensed it the moment she arrived at the castle."
"So it was you who made the amulet glow when I was picking out Sofia's welcome gift?" Roland asked.
"Yes. You shouldn't be mad at her, you should be proud." Elena said.
I chuckled, "Sofia, I understand why and I'm proud. No different than what you used to get up to eh?"
She cracked a grin and soon we were up in the air on jaquins. The people were marching on the castle and we helped. I watched as Sofia took out the guards knocking them unconscious with blunt arrows. I had to hold a chuckle when one of the arrows hit one of the guards by surprise. Sofia and Elena open the gate and soon the witch herself comes out. I think she was trying to be threatening by darkening the sky. I've seen scarier and I know Sofia has too.
"Your reign of terror is over Shuriki." Elena said.
Shuriki pointed the wand at Elena but before she could do anything Esteban grabbed the wand and tossed it to Elena who caught it.
"You can't use the wand on me girl." Shuriki said.
"Let's see just how powerful you are without your wand." Elena said as she broke the wand.
The wand released lights and all the spells Shuriki cast broke, including whatever was keeping her looking young. Before Shuriki could escape though, Sofia grabbed her.
"You aren't going anywhere." Sofia said.
"Oh really?" Shuriki said.
I watched as Shuriki tried to stab Sofia. I tried to get to her but I watched as Sofia dropped her quicker than Shuriki thought with a knife pinning her to the ground. Sofia pulled out her own wand and muttered something. I watched as for a few minutes, Shuriki gained a glazed look. Sofia freed her just as a confused look crossed her face.
"Um where am I?" she asked.
Sofia then did something else and Shuriki disappeared to who knows where. Once people began to realize that it was over, I watched as Sofia tried to give Elena the amulet but was given it in return for all the help she gave. The rest of the time in Avalor was very nice and very different. It was as if life was back in the kingdom. Elena's family was let out of the painting by Mateo and they too rejoiced in the new freedom their kingdom had. We spent a night with the royal family and Elena and Sofia explained everything. I realized that Sofia was hiding something but whatever it is, I know she'll be fine.
We left a couple weeks later for home as school began in a month and it took about three weeks on the sea to get back to our kingdom. That way when we got home, the kids could have a couple weeks before school to relax and just be kids.
AN: Yes I know the reddish pink one has a name, Luna. I didn't realize she was given one till I rewatched the episodes. Hope you enjoyed. ~Immortalshark
