Chapter 3:- Beacon Academy
Summary:- Ash and Team RWBY meets professor Ozpin.
After an hour of travelling through the dense forest and killing the occasional Grimm, that were unlucky enough to cross their path, Ash and his companions finally arrived at The Beacon Academy.
Ash had to confess, although begrudgingly, that he was somewhat impressed, though not by much.
The school was gigantic, while not as big as the Palace Of Rota or the Flower Palace In kalos, it was still very huge for a school.
His observation was cut short when Ruby, who was standing beside him,said in a cheerful tone "Welcome to Beacon Academy!!" she said happily.
Before he could reply Yang interrupted him by saying "No time for sight-seeing now Ashy boy, we have to get you to Headmaster Ozpin immediately." She said teasingly with a smirk.
Ash glared at her, through his mask and cursed himself, regretting the fact that he had given them his name.
But who could blame him, after all they had been pestering him through their entire journey from the Emerald forest to Beacon. And besides they would have known about it soon enough anyway.
And, So he told them.
And now he was suffering the consequences of his error.
As they made their way towards Beacon Tower, Ash heard murmurs and whispers from the surrounding people who were all eying him with various expression on their face.
"Who is that? I have never seen him here!" A girl asked her friend, who was sitting next to her.
"Probably a new student" her friend replied uncertainly.
"What's with the mask ? Dude sure as hell looks creepy!" a guy sitting under a tree trunk nearby said under his breath but Ash with his enhanced hearing can hear it clear as a day.
Hearing the whispers, Ash turned around and said "If you want to say something about me, say it on my face"
He said coldly causing the students to stiffen in surprise, they are shocked that this strange guy could hear them even though they were discussing this in no more than a whisper.
"Well?" He repeated, impatiently causing the now terrified students to scamper off like frightened heard of chickens.
Ash turned back to Team RWBY in time to see them sweat dropping at his action, even thought he doesn't care about it one wit.
"Really, you haven't been here for a few minutes and you are already scaring off the students" Yang said agast.
Ash shrugged his shoulders. He doesn't care what she or her merry band of friends think about his action. Not like it is his fault that the students are like scared sheep. And besides if they can't handle him then why are they even training to become huntsmen or huntresses.
After walking for a few minutes, they all reached the elevator towards Ozpin's office.
Suddenly they all stopped and stared at him. He stared at them for a few moments before tilting his head as a silent question as to ask why they had all stopped walking.
They didn't said anything for a few seconds and stared at each other nervously before looking back at him causing Ash to frown in irritation about what is the matter.
Before he can ask why they had stopped, Blake step forward and cleared her throat before speaking "After you!" she insisted in a polite tone.
Ash raised an eyebrow. They are sending him first so he doesn't have the opportunity to attack them from behind if he should prove hostile. A smart decision, even though a futile one because if he wanted them dead he would have already killed them without hesitation back in the Emerald forest and not I dide a school filled with combat ready students.
But, even still his respect for them, went a tiny bit higher for their quick tactical decision.
"Good" he thought impressed "they are not entirely worthless after all!!"
Even though he was impressed, he didn't let it show in his face or his voice and replied simply with "very well!" he nodded and stepped inside the elevator, causing them to sigh in relief and quickly follow after him.
As the elevator began to ascend, Ash relaxed his stance slightly and sighed before leaning against a wall. While he was not showing it, he was dead tired from all the previous escapades. He had also not eaten or taken a proper rest for the last two days and the exhaustion is quickly catching up to him.
He shook his head to clear his thoughts and straightened his back. He was about to meet the Professor, who if he is corect in his assumptions, is one of the most influential man in this region. No he cannot allow himself to show weakness in front of him.
The rest of the elevator ride is passed on silence before the bell chimed, signalling that they had reached their destination. The door opened and they all stepped inside.
Inside the room there were two individuals, an elderly man with greying hair and a coffee mug in his hand and a cane at his side, "He must be Ozpin" Ash thought to himself before his eyes fell on the next individual beside the aging professor who was standing.
The person was a matured blonde woman with a cape and a long crop in her hand, "Must be a weapon" he thought frowning a little, he had thought that he was going to meet the professor alone but now it looks like it was not the case.
"Welcome, Team RWBY we have been expecting your arrival" Ozpin welcomed his students "I assume you four have been successful in your mission"
Ruby being the team leader stepped forward and said cheerfully "Thank you professor and yes we have been successful".
Ozpin nodded before his eyes fell on Ash who was standing at the entrance of the room.
"And who might you be?" Ozpin asked in a curious tone.
Before Ash could answer, Ruby intervened "Oh professor! he is the reason for the bright explosion".
Ash glared at red haired reaper, angry at being interrupted. Didn't she realise that it is rude to interrupt someone when he or she is going to have an important discussion.
The woman beside the professor who have been observing the conversation now interrupted in an angry tone "Miss Rose you do realise that it is against the rules to bring strangers inside the school" she said harshly, angry at the breach of security, causing Ruby to shrink back in fear.
Before she can continue her angry rant, Ozpin spoke up "Now now Glynda, no need to be so harsh on Miss Rose and besides, she and her team were only doing their mission" he spoke kindly causing Team RWBY to smile in relief "and besides if what they say is true then they have already completed the mission" he continued before his eyes fell on the last member of the group.
Ash seeing that the professor is now looking at him, stood up from where he was leaning and spoke in an theoretical tone "so you are Professor Ozpin? ".
Ozpin nodded kindly before taking a sip from his coffee mug, "Yes I am" he nodded before gesturing towards the blond hared woman " and she is Glynda Goodwitch my assistant " before looking back "now who are you? I am afraid I don't know your name".
"No I don't expect you would" Ash said "nor would I except anyone in this world to know, who I am"
Ozpin and Glynda looked puzzled , while team RWBY looked confused and a little spooked, at the cryptic answer being given to them.
What does he mean, not in this world?
Seeing the look of confusion in everyone's face he decided to elaborate "You see this may come a shocker to you all, but when we're travelling back through the Emerald forest, my X-Transxavier picked up radio signals, but from where I don't know..."
He was interrupted by Ruby "Wait radio signals, I known that, its comming from the cross Continental tower in beacon"
"As I was saying" Ash said with gritted teeth not exactly happy of being interrupted again, seriously doesn't they posses a thread of something called manners "my X-Transxavier" he continued, showing a strange box like device strapped on his wrist "picked up radio signals, which after analysing showed me maps of landmasses which i have never seen before".
"And what does that even mean?" Glynda asked as she looked confused as everyone else except Ozpin who's eyes widened behind his glasses when he finally realised what he meant.
"To put it simple" Ash began before taking a deep breathe before saying " I am not from this world" he said bluntly looking at Ozpin.
He had done it. He had finally dropped the bomb.
Now its time for the explosion.

"Whattt!!"
Everyone except the professor shouted in shock and confusion.
"What do you mean you are not from this world ?" Yang shouted.
Ash shrugged his shoulder"I mean what I said, I am not from this world" he replied casually.
Everyone looked at him for a few moments before Ozpin asked carefully "and do you have any proof of this bold statement ?"
Ash stared hard at Ozpin before sighing and nodding "yes I have".
He reached for his omni belt, causing everyone to tense slightly as if expecting him to pull a dagger or something, before they all relaxed when he pulled a ball with red and silver coloration.
"Now everyone, please clear a space" he instructed gesturing to team RWBY.
"Its not a bomb right" Weiss asked nervously before she and rest of her team gave him a wide berth.
Ash pressed the activation button of the pokeball causing it to expand, electing a surprised "ooh" from Ruby.
"Now everyone stand back,hold your ground and don't do anything rash" he said before kissing the pokeball and whispering softly "time to wake up buddy", before pressing the realise button.
A blinding flash of white light bathed the entire room casing everyone except Ash to cover their eyes for a few seconds.
They slowly opened there eyes before looking, and what the saw caused their eyes to widen.
Standing in the middle of the room was a blue jackal like creature standing in his hind legs, it has four digits in his arms with spike like gauntlets and a mask like muscle.
"Father where are we" a voice suddenly asked in everyone's head.
"What the hell" Yang yelped clutching her ears, ignoring Ruby's loud 'language'.
"Don't worry it's telepathy, Lucario is speaking through his aura" Ash assured, causing them to calm down.
"What is this creature, one that can use aura no less" Ozpin asked fascinated.
"The creature ishe" Ash corrected causing Ozpin to nod apologetically at his direction, "and for what he is, well he is a Lucario"
"A Lucario?" Ozpin whispered amazed before looking up at Ash "what type of creature is he?"
"Well he is a Pokemon"
"A pokemon? " Ozpin said, silently asking him to elaborate.
"Well it's the main native species of creatures that inhabit my world" Ash answered.
"Like the Grimm inhabiting our world"
"In a way yes, but unlike the Grimm they can utilise aura"
"Fascinating" Ozpin murmured.
Ash nodded "well you have your proof now" Ash said before recalling Lucario back in his pokeball, causing Ruby to whine in disappointment as she was still observing Lucario.
Ozpin was silent for a few moments before he looked at him, "how did you came to our world?" he asked carefully.
Ash looked at Ozpin, deciding whether he should reveal it or not before replying "I am sorry" he shook his " I cannot reveal that now, at least not until I am sure I can trust you, it's classified information" he said before gesturing towards Team RWBY "I will say it when we were alone" he said causing Team RWBY to glare at him , angry that he didn't trust them.
Ash of course ignored their angry glares.
"Hey what is wrong with us knowing about it" Weiss asked angrily.
"Because you lot are little kids playing at being soldiers" he said a little smugly "and little kids shouldn't listen to adults discussing sensitive matters"
"Who are you calling kids, you jerk? I bet you are not that much older than us" Yang shouted.
"Oh I am twenty years old, three years older than you, and that makes you my juniors"
"Now listen bub, nobody calls me kid and gets away with it" Yang spat at him, growling in anger.
"Whatever!" Ash dismissed them in a non caring tone cause them to glare at him angrily.
"Its enough Miss Schnee, Miss long, Ash is right, if he wants to discuss the matter privately then it's his choice" Ozpin interrupted before the situation can go out of hand, he then nodded towards Ash "we will discuss the matters privately then" he said causing Ash to nod in gratitude and Team RWBY to huff in anger.
After a moment of silence, Ruby raised her arm and said"Hey I have a question" she asked, causing everyone to look at her "you don't have any idea how to return home right" she asked causing Ash to nod slowly "then where will you live, i doubt you have any lien on you"
Ash eyes widened behind his mask as he cursed himself for his stupidity. He hadn't thought of that he doesn't have any Lien with him, which was this world's equivalent of pokedollars.
Ozpin now smiled at that, "well i have an Idea" he said gaining everyone's attention "you could always join Beacon Academy as a temporary student, until you can find a way back home" he said trying to sound as casual as he can while ignoring Glynda's glare and his students ridiculous expression.
"But professor you are not serious are you?" Miss Goodwitch protested, angry at the rules being broken, again.
"Of course I am serious Miss Glynda" Ozpin replied calmly.
Ash thought about the proposal for a few seconds. While he has his doubts he knows that it wasn't a very bad proposal. He was in a completely different world, without any way back home. He doesn't have any money so leaving alone in the streets is out of question.
Perhaps it will be not be bad to stick with someone who wants to help you.
So Ash nodded and said "It will be an honour professor"
Ozpin smiled and said "excellent", before sliding his finger around his scroll like device, which Ash assumed was Remnant's equivalent of Pokenav, and looked at him "Now all I need is a picture of you without your mask on for a school ID"
Ash stared at Ozpin for a few seconds before hesitantly asking " Is that necessary"
Ozpin nodded "yes if you want an admission in our school, you need an ID"
Ash sighed and lowered his hood before taking of his black mask.
"Oh!" All the members of Team RWBY whispered simultaneously and began blushing furiously, but who could blame them.
Standing in front of them, was probably the most handsome man they had ever seen, some may even call him beautiful if it isn't for the z shaped scars he possessed in each of his cheeks.
Unfortunately for them they didn't get to admire him like a peace of meat for long, as the small camera in Ozpin's scroll flashed signalling that the picture is taken.
With the picture done and over, Ash quickly began to re-equip himself of his beloved face gear, causing Yang to groan , "why are putting that back on?"
She whined.
"It's personal" Ash replied coldly causing Yang to huff angrily.
"Now that is taken care of, let's discuss the most important matter" Professor Goodwitch interrupted their thrash talk "Where's he going to stay? Aren't all the dorm rooms already taken, professor?" she asked with a frown.
"That they are, Miss Glynda, but I was hoping if Miss Rose and her team wouldn't mind having Ash stay with you girls for the time being." he said casually.
The room was completely silent for a few moments before...
