Chapter 65:Heroes' Day Part 1: Preparations(Keith's POV)
"Alright class, now it's time to talk about what you all are doing for the first ever Hero's Day that Paris is going to celebrate in two days time to celebrate Team Miraculous achievements in making Paris a safer place from Hawkmoth and his akumas." Madame Bustier.
Keith sighs, does Paris really need to throw a party for a whole day to celebrate them and their achievements. His superhero friends are pretty great, and Rouge Renarde, who joined the team three days ago, is also pretty great as well, from what Chat said about her abilities. And she proved herself fighting the akuma Sandboy.
"And Lilia will also tell us as she is on a zoom meeting watching our class right now, so go ahead Lilia."
An image video of Lilia appears on the smartboard after Madame Bustier brings it up. Keith holds back a gag, that girl left a few days ago to go to Achu to visit Prince Ali, which he sensed was false. Lilia hasn't been able to prove a single connection after she claimed to be involved with successful people in Paris and other famous people around the globe.
"I am working with Prince Ali to reduce the pollution the world has made, we just need to get other world leaders to agree."
Damn! Lilia didn't even stutter, she must have lied before, like he has. Only she was doing it to become popular, while he did it to stay in the shadows and conceal that he was a part of something grander than Earth and that will have more disastrous consequences if Voltron cannot stop the Galra. Though if they find more about Hawkmoth and his wants that could be even more dangerous. And that's if Hawkmoth gets the cat ring and the ladybug earrings when Marinette returns with the rest of Voltron.
Of course Keith doesn't know what will happen, for Voltorn or for this new team he's a part of.
Alya pipes up, "That's really sweet of you Lilia, caring about the world, do you mind if I post it on the Noirblog?"
Lilia tilts her head, "It's not related to anything Chat Noir like so I'd rather you not post this little thing on your blog."
And she's hiding her disrespect by sugar coating it, letting Alya down gently. Greaaaat. When her lies eventually get discovered it is not going to be pretty. Not pretty at all. Though that isn't something big on his priority list. After all there are much more things that are more important than Lila's lies.
Madame Bustier smiles, "Well, Alya tell us what you plan to do for Hero's Day?"
"I am thinking of writing an article on my blog about all the good the Hero's of Paris have done and me and my boyfriend are going to help the Food Donation charity in Paris with whatever they need and I want to talk to the mayor about handicap faculties."
And then the others list off their good deeds and Keith doesn't listen. Voltron doesn't list off the good deeds they are going to do, they do them. They don't offer explanations, unless others ask for it.
"Me and Keith will be helping the Du-Pein-Changs bake goods for that day celebrating our heroes."
He smiles when Chloe says that. Marinette's parents gave them the day off but they decided to help them anyways at the Bakery instead of enjoying the many festivities being thrown in their honor, or well their superhero identities anyway.
Madame Bustier claps her hands, "Well it sounds like you all have plans for Heroes' day."
The bell rings, "Well that's the end of class. School will be closed for Heroes' Day as it happens on December 16th so you all can do things a hero would do."
Keith pushes his binder into his bookbag, content. When did this life become so comfortable? Fighting akumas and living a normal life, something that wasn't granted to him with Voltron, as fighting the Galra isn't normal, at least to Earth's standards.
He still misses Voltron, but he doesn't yearn for it like he did when he first came here. That was part of the reason he tried to become closer to Chloe, to feel that similar connection he had with Shiro, except him being the light and Chloe being the person who needs him.
But he shakes that off, it's time to focus on the present and find a way to beat Hawkmoth before Voltron and Marinette come back. They can not allow Hawkmoth to get what he wants, not one bit.
Gabriel's POV
Two more days, just two days to enact his plan.
"Sir, are you sure about this, involving that Volpina girl? Can you trust her?"
Gabriel looks at Nathlie sharply, "I can handle her. Besides, she hates the heroes and getting rid of the team so that when Ladybug gets back will be perfect as no one can save her then."
"Alright, I just hope it works out, but sir, we don't know how long Ladybug will be gone for. Can you really wait that long?"
Gabriel twists his ring, he has been waiting for months now, surely he can wait for Ladybug to return. It's only a matter of time before she does. And when she returns, well, she'll lose herself to despair and anguish.
"But sir, to make this plan actually be foolproof I think it would be foolish not to use the peacock miraculous."
He glares at her, "Not yet, I'm not that desperate."
And he'll need some time to get Keith to be ready for holding that particular miraculous and make him see that bringing Emily back is the most important thing there is. As he doesn't want to lose his prized holder because of the sickness that the miraculous will give Keith when he uses it.
So no, he will have to wait to use it until he knows that he can't face Team Miraculous on their own.
Author's Note: So sorry for not uploading in a while, it's just school started two days ago and now I have a sore throat and a mind splitting headache. I will try to write as often as I can, but do not expect chapters to come back to back or in a day of each other. That being said, I hope you enjoy this little snippet of everyone getting ready for Heroes's day:)
