The weeks flew by and before they new it it was June 15th and they were getting ready for the wedding.
Today the 118 was getting to Chicago then tomorrow night as their bachelor party they told their best men that they wanted a combined one so that's what they were getting.
Eddie and Casey planned something together, keeping the couple in the dark about it.
They are on shift when Maddie, Athena and the 118 and Karen arrive so they all were told to come to 51 to meet everyone and to see how Chicago runs things. Biden okayed it so it was fine.
Evan and Kelly are running drills with their squads when the 118 pulls up. They rented a van for the occasion.
"Looking good squad 9, best time yet." Evan yells as Bobby, the 118 and their spouses approach.
"Let me see your time." Kelly says looking at evans stopwatch and curses.
"Squad 3 pick up the pace, they are beating us by a landslide." Kelly barks making Evan and the rest of squad 9 chuckle while squad 3 just groans, making Evan and squad 9 laugh harder.
Evan catches a glimpse of everyone walking up the drive and waves to them, as he says "okay squad 9 pack it up and hit the showers before the bells go off."
Squad 9 does as they are told. Eddie waves to everyone before heading to the showers himself.
"Hey guys, glad you all could make it!" Evan says as Kelly tells squad 3 to pack it up and hit the showers as well.
"So are we buckeroo." Athena says hugging Evan.
"Good too see you baby brother. I've missed you." Maddie tells evan.
"Good to see you too, Mads, I've missed you too." Evan tells his older sister.
Maddie hugs Kelly, saying "good to see you as well Kelly." Kelly hugs her back, saying "you too Maddie." With a bright smile.
"So was that the squad you're in charge of?" Bobby asks
"Yea that's the second squad team here, squad 9, which I'm the lieutenant of yes." Evan explained with a wide grin.
"I didn't know you were a lieutenant, Buck." Hen states
"Yea been a lieutenant since before I went to L.A" the blond explained.
"Oh I didn't know." Hen says sadly, realizing there was a lot she didn't know about buck.
"I didn't really tell anyone as there was no place for a lieutenant at the 118." Evan explained.
"Come on in and meet everyone." Evan then says as he sees Bobby, Hen and Chim eye up the rigs.
"Okay!" Maddie says happily, wanting to meet the family her baby brother chose.
"These are the rigs, this is truck 81, ambo 61, engine 51, squad 3 and this is squad 9." Evan says as he gestures to each one.
"Wow, lots of rigs." Chim says.
"Well it takes a lot to command a scene." Kelly states.
Bobby raises an eyebrow at that just as Eddie enters with Chief Boden, Casey, Brett, Herman and Stella.
"Hey everyone sorry it took me so long, I went and found chiefs and then these guys wanted to come meet you all as well." Eddie explained.
"Hello, you must be Captain Nash, I'm Chief Boden, this is Captain Casey of truck 81, Sylvia Brett PIC of ambo 61, lieutenant Herman of engine and Stella Kidd who works on truck." Boden introduces the officers and Kidd.
"Hi nice to meet you all, this is my wife Sergeant Athena from the LAPD. This is hen and Chim who work at the 118 with me and Maddie Bucks sister and Karen hens wife." Bobby introduces.
"Nice to meet you guys." Boden, Casey, Herman, Brett and Kidd say in unison.
"You have have an officer for each rig?" Chim asks making 51 look at him like he's crazy.
"Ya don't you guys?" Herman asks.
"No it's just Cap, Hen, myself and now Lucy and the new dude Kevin." Chim explains
"In your whole station?" Casey asks with a raised eyebrow.
Kelly's the one that pipes up "they are a lot different from here Case."
"Yea that's in our whole station, why how many do you guys got in your station?" Chim asks
"Come and meet them." Evan says, nodding his head towards the common room area.
They make their way to the common room where Boden clears his throat then says, "everyone Evans and Eddie's old team and their spouses and his sister Maddie is here." Boden says then introduces them
"This is Captain Bobby Nash is wife Sergeant Athena from the LAPD, Hen and Chim and hens wife Karen and Evans sister Maddie." Boden says gesturing to each one as he introduces them.
"This is your team?" Hen and Chim choke out in unison.
"Yep." Evan says proudly.
"On truck we have Stella Kidd, Mouch, myself and the new candidate Dean Burns." Casey says introducing the truck members they all say hi and Bobby notices how Stella and Eddie are close together, leaning into one another.
"On squad three we have myself, Joe Cruz, Toney and Capp." Kelly intrudes his men.
"On engine is myself, Mike Oberman and Darren Ritter" Herman says
"On ambo is just me and Violet." Brett says introducing violet.
"And on squad 9 is me, Eddie, Blake Gallo and Peter Mills." Evan says introducing his team.
"Nice to meet you all." Bobby says.
Just then the bells go off.
All units structure fire 119 wabash.
"Wanna tag along, captain Nash, hen and Chim?" Boden asks the 118.
"Sure." Bobby says
The three 118 members going to bodens buggy.

Bobby can hear the companies communicate over the radio.
"Hey Case, Ev, I see the smoke already, this is gonna be a big one." Kelly says over the radio.
"Looks like it." Evan says
"Probably squatters." Casey says.
They reach the scene just then and boden gets out along with the 118 and he starts barking orders.
"Truck primary search. Squad 9 top three floors. Squad 3 middle three floors. 61 set up triage, engine get a line ready. Let's go, Let's Go, Let's Go." Boden barka as Casey, severide and Evan turn to their men and bark their own orders.
"Mills, Gallo you search the top floor. Eddie and I will take the third floor down and work our way up as you guys work your way down and we will meet up." Evan says.
Just as all the men and woman go to run in the building there's an explosion on the second top floor sending debris and smoke all over the place making them all shielding their faces and body's.
Now the second top floor was engulfed.
"Everyone ok?" Boden calls out everyone answers "Yes Chief."
"Okay Evan you and Eddie are gonna have to repel down to the third top floor." Boden says.
"You got it, Chief."
Evan and Eddie grab the rope bags to repel from the roof then go to the Ariel and follow mouch and Burns up to the roof as they are going to vent.

While everyone's doing their jobs Bobby takes in the well oiled machine that is 51.
Bobby watches as the man that became like a son to him repels off the roof and past the fire floor to the place he needs to be. Evan and Eddie got to the third top floor safely.
Bobby can see how well Buck has flourished since he's been back at 51, his heart aches a bit at that but realizes maybe this is the way it was supposed to be.

They got the scene under control, then did overhaul and went back to 51.
Maddie was happy to meet everyone that obviously loved her brother so much, she could see that 51 was truly a family.
The 118 and their spouses went to their hotels after dinner with the promise of meet Kelly and Evans kids with them for lunch the next day at their new house, along with Eddie, Chris and Stella, as Eddie told everyone that Stella and him were dating now.
The rest of shift went by fast and before they knew it they were home with their kids getting things ready for the lunch then they would have their bachelor party that night.
